They basically have a thali system. Unlimited thali with veggies, rice, chapati, curd, raita, kadhi, papad, a dessert and some sides of salad, pickle and what not.
Thali they serve is worth every single penny.
I was a regular here during my hostel days in Nagpur initially.
Now we visit here occasionally.
But never had been disappointed with the taste, quality and quantity of food.
Hygiene is well maintained. Witnessed the kitchen and food preparation too.
So i can surely say, it's a great place for people who like to have veg food with clean preparations.

Quantity is too awesome. Chapatis are small flat and dry. Extra items like sweets can be ordered by paying. Interiors have been renovated and is on the first floor. I have eaten 30 years ago when it was on main road gokul peth and also when it was on ground floor at present location. Good for office going bachelors and students, and economically priced. one can also take his family for lunch or dinner here. yes if you are taking parcel home do not forget to carry empty tiffin box with you for refill as plastic bags won't be given.

The cost of each thali is INR 140 only. The Thali consists of 1 Gravy vegetable, 1 dry vegetable, dal, kadhi, sweet dahi, salad, papad, pickle, roti and rice. You can take as many refills as you want. Desserts like gulab jamun, mango shrikhand etc are available and can be ordered separately. You will need to pay extra for the add-on dessert. The food is tasty and filling. The service is very quick. The preparation and taste has remained consistent through the years. The place has now been renovated and turned into a 2 storey eating outlet for families. There is an elevator for wheelchair access also. Yesterday was the day I was compelled to visit this restaurant as I had no other option left with me. Very good place with nice slow interiors and neatly planned. The cost of thali is back to back same as compared with others in this class. The thali consists of normal home made type food with malai dahi as permanent sweet and other options available too. The quality of food is good but I regret the roti part. Just leave it for seconds and it turns like a papad. This should be improved. And plz Gayatri Bhojanalaya stop adding too much soda in the rice to make it more white. Service is also good as the waiting time is not that much on weekdays might soar on weekends but the waiters are in hurry to serve you as fast as possible if your food is finished or not they dam don't care. Decent food and satisfying service can land up yourself here once in a while.

Thali costs Rs 130 which is unlimited food , Rotis and rice both were served hot and what better I say . I normally eat 3 Rotis I had 4 yummy. Sabzi and Dal were good too , Sweet Dahi as dessert not bad

From my many experiences of this thali place.. I would say that.. The place gives you comfort food, not so fancy ambience, is decent on your pocket.. However, the staff keeps on bringing food soo quick n fast n repeatedly that you end up stuffing yourself in just 10-15 minutes :D.. Worth a try!
Whenever i visit Nagpur for an official visit, i never miss lunch at this authentic maharashtian eating joint. Its serves simple homely food and in a clean ambience. It may not offer luxury but offers real satisfaction for food lovers. The "Amti" and "Kadhi" are real stealers. Go there are come out with real satisfaction.

Got in here because of Zomato and a colleagues feedback, the food is satisfactory but it may take a while on odd days to get a table quickly and then some more time to get the thali, the ambience is fine meant for a quick lunch, staff is good in terms of service! Overall it's a good value for money!

I have seen Gayatri grow over the years, from a small bhojnalaya to the multi storeyed building that it is now. Gayatri is preferred as a daily tiffin room by the working class of Nagpur. The platter they serve is nothing fancy to talk about but the taste and quality they offer is the same, we Maharashtrians have at our own homes . Its clean and hygienic. I have had the pleasure of feeding on Gayatri's platter for quite few months. Even after that, I preferred Gayatri a lot of times for my meals. Overall, a modest place for good homely food.
