'Chai' the word is enough to describe the world for a tea lover. A person can travel miles for what we call 'Kadak Masala Chai'
John Cafe a place where the search of every chai lover comes to an end
Cost: ₹25
Taste: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Just stop randomly in front of shop last evening Evening , somebody earlier suggest me to taste there..its look alike century old shop where no proper sitting arrangement to enjoy your food, as well lack of ambience . Crowds sitting out there are mostly forty plus , now let's talk about food that the most important thing which is crucial for review ,so I ordered uttapama along with half tea.firstly a Spoon of sambhar gorge inside, it was a authentic taste of south India..really I tasted sambhar many famous places in Nagpur but this was special feeling like a Small cafe provide such authentic taste, Coconut sauce was a really good , truly uttapama also deserve a clap as well... Great food.. Tea also marked it's presence there..
Wat I think it is not good for family outing .
I m rating 4 only for its taste only.
The Best Masala Dosa in the World..Period...and its Chai..Have very fond memories of this place...Its costly for the ambience that it provides..I like the waiters..who are the same since eternity..Quick ..Fast.Efficient service..A must for everyone..Veerswami pales in comparison to it..any day..Though not a place for Family Gettogether..Mostly for bachelors..
One of the oldest and best in sadar.
Everything is perfect here except the ambience. Cone sit eat go formula.
Tea is also good here.
A must visit for good sambhar lovers.
One of the oldest Cafes of Nagpur.
Delivering its authentic taste of south indian food since its inception.
Personally I love the coffee here. Its too good. And sambar samosa.
4 stars for authentic taste, service, food quality. I would rate 5 stars if the owners think of some renovations, because it saffocates when the house is full.
Over all a great job.
One of the most iconic place in Nagpur, the taste has no compromise.
The best place to have chola Bhatura with chai. Owners are kind and friendly with big smile everytime.
Nagpur's one of the best Chaii. It opens 8am-8pm. It consume daily near about 20-40kg of teabag's. Approximately 5k-6k people's visited only for Tea. it also popular for samosa with sambhar and peanut chatni. The samosa's taste is to much good and Large in size any other samosas in Nagpur. Most of the people prefer to stay outside of restaurants enjoyed the view of Gaddi Godam Metro Station Nagpur.
The food is good and very good for South Indian cuisine. The atmosphere is not so good to go with ladies but you can enjoy the food with friends.
Title: A Delightful Fusion: Cafe John's Sambar Samosa Review
Rating: ★★★★☆
I recently had the pleasure of visiting Cafe John, a charming little cafe tucked away in a quiet corner of the city, and I must say, their Sambar Samosas left quite an impression on me. This unique twist on a classic Indian snack has managed to combine two beloved culinary delights into one delightful treat.
As soon as I entered the cafe, I was greeted by the warm aroma of freshly brewed coffee and a cozy ambiance that instantly put me at ease. The staff was friendly and attentive, making me feel welcomed and comfortable throughout my dining experience.
Now, let's talk about the star of the show—the Sambar Samosas. These little pockets of joy are a brilliant fusion of South Indian sambar and the traditional samosa. The exterior boasted a golden-brown, flaky crust that was perfectly crispy, and upon the first bite, I was greeted with a burst of flavors.
The filling was a delightful combination of mashed potatoes, lentils, and aromatic spices, all beautifully complemented by the tangy and savory sambar sauce. The samosas were not overly greasy, which was a pleasant surprise, as it allowed the flavors to shine through without being overshadowed by oiliness.
The accompanying sambar sauce was rich, flavorful, and had a hint of spiciness that added a kick to the dish. It provided a delightful contrast to the crispy exterior, and the combination of the two was simply delightful. The sambar samosas were served piping hot, and the flavors remained consistent from the first bite to the last.
One aspect that impressed me was the attention to detail in the presentation. The samosas were served on a rustic wooden platter, accompanied by a small side salad and a refreshing mint chutney. The vibrant colors of the salad and the freshness of the chutney complemented the samosas beautifully, adding a touch of visual appeal to the overall experience.
While the Sambar Samosas at Cafe John were undoubtedly delicious, I would have loved to see a few more vegetarian options on their menu. Nevertheless, the quality and taste of the dish were exceptional, and it is evident that the chefs at Cafe John have put a lot of thought into creating a unique and enjoyable culinary experience.
In conclusion, if you're looking to satisfy your cravings for a fusion of flavors, Cafe John's Sambar Samosas are definitely worth a try. With their crispy exterior, flavorful filling, and delectable sambar sauce, these samosas are a testament to the creativity and skill of the cafe's culinary team. So, grab a cup of coffee, indulge in these delightful treats, and let your taste buds embark on a culinary adventure.
