They serve desi Indian food with such amazing flavours that will remind you of the food straight out of your own kitchen. Soft buttered rotis and paneer cooked with an indian tadka , mouthwatering!!!

The staff was good, food was delicious. We ordered iced tea, fresh lime soda, Dal makhani , Manchurian dry and gravy one later and butter naan. I went here BECAUSE OF Good rating. Everything was Fairly good. The only thing which was bad was dry Manchurian. It's outer surface was super hard, couldn't chew on. So left that. One can see beautiful naini lake sitting beside window while eating. The moonlit stream makes it amazing to experience.
This place is a must visit for anyone heading to the city of lakes. They have such great variety of food. Almost all the restaurants here serve the same variety of breakfast, I really liked the channa bhatura here. Will head there again, when in the city :)

We ordered Tandoori Chicken which was okayish as it lacked the juiciness of chicken. In the main course, we ordered Chatpata Chicken Punjabi Style which was really great as it had a rich Chatpati gravy and chicken pieces in it were excellent and perfectly cooked. For anyone visiting here, Chatpata Chicken is a Must Try!! 🤩
There is no other place in this town which is the best as this restraunt. This place has a great lake view n it's a family place. I love all the food items but my favourite is the Kali mirch chicken and the mutton biryani 😍
Visited here during trip to nanital. Its located on mall road. They have few table where you can get view of lake. It was cold weather so decided to try their coffee and burger which was value for money.

Went to the place for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the great views of Nainital lake from the restaurant.Food is extremely delicious and service prompt.The helpings are also plentiful and we ended up packing half of the food coz we were unable to finish it. Tried chicken lollipop along with Chicken sweet and sour soup for starters and had chicken kadai, chicken chowmein and paneer parantha. Overall, highly recommended restaurant.

So, the first stop after reaching Nainital was MAchan😊😁 Hungry for Lunch, we ordered Veg. Noodles, Honey Chilli potatoes, Manchow Soup and stir fried veggies. It's my favourite place in Nainital to eat to my heart's content. The portion size is great so prices don't pinch. Food is great and the Best in town wether it's Chinese, Indian, or Mughlai. The upstairs sitting with the view of the Naini Jheel is simply breathtaking and calming. A must visit for foodies. Note of caution : The places opens from 11 to 4 and then 7 to 11.
Right across the Machan is Naini lake which offers an amazing view of the lake sitting on the table while eating.
Offers an amazing variety of veg and non-veg north Indian cuisine.

Been there during tour to Nainital. Ordered chicken clear soup and mixed fried chowmein from non veg section and both were served in a big bowl which was so much in quantity. Both were delicious atleast way better than other restaurants in mall road.

Dish to not to miss: Chicken Afghani (From Tandoor).I am from Mumbai and we were roaming around in north for a long time and as we were bored of dal-chawal , Machan came to our rescue.
It has a super tasty menu. Parking could be a problem but post 7pm, you can just walk to it as road is blocked for vehicles.
This restaurant is situated in mall road ,Nainital at the end of Naini lake. This is a perfect place to eat north Indian food here. Service is prompt and waiters are very helpful.
Food is superb. When asked for a good restaurant many people took machans name and we were not disappointed at all.
One of the best restaurants I visited this weekend on my birthday while on a trip to Nainital. We went there for lunch and enjoyed every single dish. I am not a Momo’s fan, but my friends ordered and we had, and I must tell you it was the tastiest momos.We also had tandoori chicken and hot and sour soup. In the main course, we had mixed non-veg fried rice, chicken noodles with chili chicken gravy. The virgin mojito was OK (the taste can be improved). Few items were over priced but the quantity justified it. The view from the window was breathtaking.

This is one of the restaurants recommended by almost every food blogger, and so I went to try it. I just had Dal makhni and Butter roti. The taste was as good as any decent restaurant. Overall, it's worth trying.
Went here for wife's bday dinner. Tried veg north indian food. Food is really good. Very quick service that too on a busy sunday night at mall road. Really enjoyed the overall hospitality they showed. Recommend everyone to try out this lovely place.

Finest cafe chain in Uttarakhand. I always look up to cafes which serve amazing food and also have an extremely beautiful views from their cafe. This one Cafe is that place which is located in Nainital and serves amazing food and drinks along with mesmerising view of Nainital Lake. I tried few items which were nice in taste. Chilly Mushroom

The restaurant is small and cozy and right next to the lake which has many seating places with a view of the lake.
We had ordered Steamed Veg momos, Lemon Coriander soup and Veg Wonton soup. It was very delicious and one of the best food I have ever had. I highly recommend this place.
The restaurant also has a toilet which is well maintained.

Next we ordered the Hawaii pizza which was a disappointment mainly due to the crust being a pre made bakery one, so would recommend skip pizzas here but definitely try out the Chinese menu
The food is really good here at Machan. The service is really good. The view is superb actually. Location is on the mall road only.

We tried Spanish omelette, fiery chicken, coleslaw sandwich and tuna sandwich. In addition we tried chole bhature, in drinks/shakes we took cold coffee and the taste was good as well.
The food quantity was even good.

The place has a great view of the naini lake. Food was great. Decor was average. Staff was courteous and accomodating. The place was bustling with people which is a great sign if you ae a food person. Definitely Recommemded.
We took dinner with family for 4 days. Food were very tasty, prompt service. Only negative point I found was the steep steps which was a bit difficult for elderly people to climb. Enjoyed there. Fast service.
Always a wonderful experience when I visit Machan. It's one of those quintessential places that you just shouldn't miss once you are in Nainital. A true gem of an eating joint which has stood the test of time. Will surely visit again once I'm back in Nainital.
