modern cafe is the place which serves you homely food..this place is very good for cleanliness.. tried everything on their menu..must try their ukdiche modak available only on sat -sun,thalipith ,aaloo paratha,lahsuni methi ..they have discontinued with tandlachi bhakri which was also good..overall homely and hygienic place any good for any age group people who will love this place

We went to this place along with the whole family while we were passing through Nasik. This a very small joint which serves authentic marathi food. Zunka, Bhakar, Thali peeth etc were served here. I loved the taste of the food here. While we were confused as to what to order, the owner helped us out with entire order. Everyone loved what was served here. We were 6 people and the bill was less than 800. Highly recommended and great job guys
Modern cafe is always a crowded a place not because it's small, food quality here is excellent and you can blindly order any dish here that you like and you will surely love it. My favourite dish here is specially Ukdiche modak. Food here is tasty with appropriate spices and no side effects.
College road in nashik is a very happening place with several good options to eat outside food, specially the nashik special one which is misal.

So this was first called as Parth hotel and then replaced by Modern cafe.. In ghe begnning their wer only thali,rice plate,some indian dishes and my most favourite Thalipith... And know they have many varities of dishes But... My all all time favourite is thalipith, it tastes amazinnggg with tge green chatni and butter its heaven for me... I have never ate this any wer in nashik except Modern cafe i can say its a signature dish which every person should try and also i love kairi panha(raw mango panha) which tastes refereshing... And during some fast they have Ukdi Modak and its my second most favourite dish over here.. Hot Modak with gheee.. Yummmmmyyyy

This is the best place to have 'Ghar Jaisa Khana' and probably its the only one in this league. I visit this place on Fridays and Tuesdays cause they serve my best dishes on those days. Masala Bhat is my favorite thing here. And how I can forget about proper marathi Varan Bhat here. It's just perfect and I couldn't resist to have 2 portions of those. Do visit this place if you ever crave for homely food.
This place has pure soul home cooked and feel good food. The menu is limited Maharashtrian and south Indian food only. At very reasonable rates you get the feeling of home cooked goodness.

There is a mini thali for the quick goers for only some small bucks. I grab this on any day when the chef of my house(my lovely wife :p) is not present in town. It never disappoints me due to the changing menu in a small thali. also there is this option to have any two vegetables out of 3 preparation of the day. I just love when any resto gives you options to choose from.

I have been to this place located near Vidya vikas circle many times and had many dishes but never got disappointed with the food they serve. Modern cafe is one of the best place in the city to get authentic Maharashtrian food. cuisines like Thalipeeth, Pohe, Masale bhat, Ukadiche modak, Paratha are quite famous at Modern cafe. Thali loaded with typical Maharashtrian sabjis like Aloo bhaji, Chawli usal, Veg kolhapuri, Kadhi are cure for your hunger and beverages like Masala taak(Chhaas), Solkadhi makes your appetite complete.
Though the ambiance is simple, i will rate Modern cafe 4/5 for keeping the menu simple and authentic. The place is clean and hygienic with well mannered staff who does not let the service collapse at peak hours. A decent place to take your family for lunch or dinner if you are looking fr a good and pocket friendly restaurant in city!

We found this restaurant in the heart of Nashik when we had almost given up on finding a nice family restaurant for a quite late dinner. We just decided to give it a try because of the number of people waiting outside. And I am glad we did!
This place is cozy and not so fancy but they overcome their limitations with the taste of their food.. We ordered many dishes and all of them were equally delicious! Maharashtrian cuisine, North Indian dishes, every dish was tasty!

If you are looking for a place that serves authentic maharashtrian food then look no further. A small restaurant with quick service located in the heart of Nashik city. I tried the regular thali and it turned out to be pretty decent. The dal served was the best of the lot. Sol kadhi was the icing on the cake. I would like to try out zhunka bhakar the next time I visit the place. Visit the place for its authenticity and not the ambience.

Modern cafe serves very basic and authentic Maharashtrian/Marathi food. Thalipeeth, Pohe, Misal at Modern Cafe are undoubtedly best breakfast meals around college road. Food here is very basic, less spicy and suitable for almost every palate.
They've very simple decor and most of their attention seems to be on food more than the ambience. Unlike sauce dispensers they have curd/dahi dispensers on table a quite creative move by them.
They also have thalis and Marathi dishes for lunch and dinner. Lunch thali comes loaded with Masala bhat, poli, and daily rotating veggies with taak(chaas). You can even pick mini meals like Masala Bhat and Chaas or ALU paratha and very authentic Marathi vegetables which are hard to get anywhere else in the city. And after a heavy meal guess what can you have for dessert? Ukdiche Modak, Perfectly done and that too with a glaze of pure ghee!
Service is decent and Cost are pocket friendly too. Lunch thali cost between 80-90 Rs. And Modak for 15 bucks. A not to be missed place when in Nashik.

The atmosphere of this cafe is very pleasant. I visited during the morning hours so the sunshine entering the cafe was very pleasing. I tried their aloo Paratha which was served with green chutney and tasted good. The chutney tasted delicious and was freshly made. I also tried their authentic kothimbir wadi and they were perfectly crispy on the corners.
Overall, I had a very good experience. Must try place if you want to try some new options as they have a variety of options on their menu, inclusive of some authentic Maharashtrian dishes.
I went to Modern Cafe Nashik with my family and we enjoyed their authentic and delicious food. The hotel was recently shifted from Gangapur Road to this location, which is more spacious and convenient. We tried their thaliphit and chole bhature, which were both tasty and satisfying.
The only downside was that the staff and the cleaning were not upto the mark. They seemed to be still working like their old location, which was smaller and crowded. They need to improve their service and hygiene to match their new standards.
Overall, it was a good experience and I would recommend this place to anyone who loves Maharashtrian cuisine.

Great place for authentic maharashtrian food. Ordered Misal and sada dosa. Misal was very flavorful. I was worried it would be too spicy for me but it was perfectly spiced. You can make it more spicy with the curry they give on the side. The service was quick and the staff was very polite and attentive.
I was new in Nashik and found out about this cafe from Google. I ordered amul pavbhaji and one cheese pizza for my daughter..she demanded corn they even searched for corn but it wasn't available. Though placing the order was quick and approx 15min was the waiting time which is good. The ambiance of the place was amazing. Finally when I had my order i found that the quantity was so good that in one pavbhaji with extra bread 2 people can dine easily and when coming to taste it was also good that we were happy to have a second container of bhaji for the next morning,😉
My daughter also liked pizza and she enjoyed it.

Also provide Punjabi Dishes, other maharashtrian bhaji along with Bhakri and poli or Chapati. You can also take chapati and bhaji. Normally there is rush and you have to wait. This place has relocated to the present location, this place has always been loved by all nashik folks for their homely meals. We had a mini thali which came with a small bowl of green peas curry, a small bowl of pithla, a bowl of kadhi, chapati and a small plate of masala rice. All items in the thali were mildly spiced and had a homely taste, we also had a Thalipith which is a maharashtrian delicacy a tawa roti made from multi grain flour served with a spoon of butter, we also had a Puran poli which was also good. The service is quick.
