Went to this place on 24 June 2017 to try out veggie food for a change! Its a gastronomic delight with liberal use of desi ghee whether on rotis or on dal baati churma. Wonder how the gujjus manage to eat such heavy food.
The spread of food was amazing with very good taste service was excellent. Ambience too was very nice. The staff keeps reloading your plate rapidly so we lost track of how much we had consumed!. The sweets were all of our liking and the veggies too were tasty.
Overall we came out with overfilled stomachs and happy to share this review with all of you.
Ambiance is homely and staff is quick. Coming to food especially thali which I tried had typical Rajasthani touch, to many items but not with that great taste as they look! Thali should be little bit spicy n it was not which was major turn off.
Visited the place few days back with some friends. Being a vegetarian, I wanted to try this place for a long time. The place did not disappoint.
The restaurant has a very homely vibe. The staff is welcoming and the service is quick. The whole place and the food has a very Rajasthani touch to it. If you're a fan of Rajasthani food, this is a must visit. Everything from starter chat item to chhaas to main course to dessert was superb.
Unlimited food😋 Ambience is good as well. Desi khana hai to Maharaja Thaal jaana hai 😁 Amazing service also, there they give these pagris to wear just to make u feel that u r having royal food 😁
Good food and lot of variety in dishes... Lovely ambience.. Can't wait to sleep after a lovely lunch ... Bit expensive @425 but quality is good ...
I visited this place on my birthday. It was a family party and I thought an unlimited thali is the best way to go about it instead of ordering random dishes. Though we are all typical hardcore non vegetarian malayalees , I wanted this party to be a feasty veg one and RAJDHANI(it is not maharaja thaal anymore) did not disappoint us. The ambience is good, prompt service, the host was with us the entire time, hot and fresh delicacies just making their way into my plate, refreshing buttermilk and an unlimited supply of chilled seasonal AAMRAS.. we all enjoyed our food and clicked pics later with the traditional Rajasthani pheta. Per thali cost was Rs 399/- but it is Rs 250/- on Tuesdays..
This place is now known as 'Rajdhani Thalli". Just visited this place during work yesterday. Very quick and prompt service, fresh, tasty food. One thing I really liked was the gravy in the paneer sabzi. Rest all was also good. Very happy to find such a place in Vashi, so far it has been the best meal I have had here in Vashi, but I yet have to try out Bhagat Tarachand.
Sumptuous food.. Royal treatment..
I have recently been to Udaipur, Rajasthan.. But this place in Vashi offered me more authentic Rajasthani food than I had at Udaipur. The moment you are seated at the table, food starts pouring in the mega-plate placed in front of you. Appetiser to Desert, all that is served is flavourful and delicious. You can keep eating till you fall. The service is great and they insist you to eat a bit more. Your tummy gets full but your taste buds want more. And you leave the place, thinking when to visit next..
On our two days trip to mumbai and after a lot of research we finally decided to visit this place, the ambience and the food is simply amazing. Loved the hospitality of the servers, their way of calling each other is a pleasure to watch. The food is lip smacking lay good, special mention rajma, Rajasthani kadi, buttermilk....
We have visited similar conceptualised restaurants before but this one needs a special mention and a foodie would never regret their decision on this.
This is such a good place for gujarati thaali. The various types of food served are all greatly tastly. The rotis are so soft and tender ,which makes us eat even more of them. The sweet dishes are to be given extra points. The ambience, the quality of the foood, the hospitality are too good.
My overall experience was greatt! 😁👍
Perfect place if you are looking for veg food & are too hungry.
However, the food options are limited to rajasthani & gujarati cuisine.
Must try:
Moong ki sabji, poran poli, rajasthani kadhi & chaas (mint flavoured).
Went for dinner here , with just a hour left to close , was sceptical about the quality of food , when it waw about to close , warmly welcomed , staff was attentive & friendly , about the food , well my mom said it was good and felt homely , that sort of seals the deal , cant get any better than that , served nice warm meal , enjoyed , quantity was good enuf , it is a thali , so it had to be unlimited , cant go wrong if u decide to come here , overall a very nice place , surely will visit again
Food is decent.. above average..
Service is better..
Ambience is the best.. with pagdi and all they make you feel like a king! All in all.. A Nice place!!
Quick service...lavish spread of food which is scrumptious...the decor gives you a Rajasthani feel. The Rajasthani thaal here is second to none.
After long thinking me and my friend went dis place as i belong to rajasthan kota, i risk to try dis place
For my surprise was awsome
Greeted well padharo

Thanks mr MAHARAJ THAL
For lovely food n service
All the best
"Padhaaro" they greeted us. Must appreciate their hospitality. The restro holds rajasthani culture. With extented Rajasthani cuisine they offer Gujarati food flavors. They gave us pre-dinner finger bowl in their own style..we started with farsans, sandwich dokla, chutneys & salad. The buttermilk was light and must try. Then came dal batti churma which was hot and mouth waterinf. Next came 4 different veggies, 2 portions of kadhi - sweet and spicy, 2 dal - sweet and spicy, mini puran poli were delicious, Rotis were soft and with pure ghee it tasted extremely yummy. I'm sweet we were served sitaphal basundi and moong dal halwa. At the end it was khichdi or pulav. Everything was perfect. On the display we found pagdi to wear which the manager happily allowed.
Overall it was great experience. Must visit place..(Y)

I have visited this place multiple times and never was I disappointed. They are quick , they are attentive and that is what is expected in these thaali places. I never had to wait for my next roti to come, or my sabzi had finished and had to call the staff to repeat it. Exceptionally professional! The place is always crowded still they have never bummed us. Food quality is amazing. This is our friday getaway lunch place as its near our office. Do visit this place if you enjoy gujrati/rajasthani thalis.
There are many places that serve thalis. But Maharajaa is a place that is dedicated to just thali.
Interiors: very cozy, comfortable, and lively.
Service: as fast as humanly possible. 5/5. You don't have to wait even for a minute once you are at the table.
Food: it's a 7 course meal.... Indian style... and unlimited.
2 dals
2 kadhi
3 sabji
Farsan... like a lot if it....
Halvo
Rotli, rotla, churma,
Rice, khichadi, pulav
Mithai
And chaas.
ALL YOU CAN EAT.
Value for money: 4/5 it's very pocket friendly. And for the kind of food and kind of service they provide... the charge is very humble.
Go there when you want to challenge to a friend for food.
I don't think I can say that something was missing here. If you're a fan of Rajasthani food, this is a must visit. Its very surprising that such a place has existed in Navi Mumbai for quite sometime.
The thali is sumptuous and amazing . Better than the food is the service. The staff make you feel welcome and so much at home.
Everything from starter chat item to chhaas to main course to dessert was superb.
And honestly for 375/- I think this place is a steal.
Maharaja Thaal visit took place on past Friday afternoon. There are around 7 sabji's ,1 papad , 2 sweets ,rice, khichdi, dal bati, salad , dal, aachar everything unlimited.
The ambiance is good , the seating arrangement is good , the service is friendly and good and everything for a very reasonable price (Rs 321/-).
An absolute delight for heavy vegetarian eaters.
Food - 3.5/5

As the name goes - Maharaja Thaal. You get 3 types of subzi, 2 types of Daal, Kadhi, custard and chapati/rice etc. I went there twice with family I believe this is their standard Menu. I wish undhiyu was there. Food quality is good as per veg standard. I feel it's inexpensive, decent quality food, excellent service and family type ambience. Special mention of excellent service and very friendly staff.
I am glad I made the choice of visiting this place. I tried this place on a weekday afternoon. It wasn't crowded and the food was just too good! It was served well and tasted authentic. Although Dal Baati was nice, Churma was phenomenal. So, was the Halwa. Gujrati Dal and Kadi were nice too. Bhindi, Paneer, Dum Aloo were regular but with so many other good options you really can't complain. The price is fine for the meal. Not expensive Not cheap. Anything over will be little value for money. Will visit again but again over a weekday.
Had a Office lunch party here.... Rajasthani Thaali...
Very nice place with attractive interior...
Also thier service is very good...
Thali system...but one thali & lots of choices to make..
There was so much that i just tasted everything & i was full....
I would like to visit here some time soon....
Amazing amazing food, excellent service and met my expectations. The gujarati dal and strawberry halwa along with baingan ka bharta is to die for. Chaas is very light and flavourful and the sambar vada was delicious (better than many South Indian hotels). I am sure to visit every week. The only regret I could not eat more as my stomach would have exploded 😂😂
This is a typical Gujrati &Rajasthani thaali place however ghatte ki subzi and dal baati was missing from the menu as they are only served twice a week.
The food was good and served well the thaali wasnt very expensive and was just over 300 inr per thaali.
This is a good place for thaali lovers around the vicinity.

Excellent food. Excellent service and ambiance. :) Totally value for money!!! They feed you till you are dozing off. Remember to not keep any plans post this meal as you will need a long heavy nap!
One thing that annoys the crap out of me is Jain people going here and asking for Jain food! Stay home and eat at home :/ this food is meant to be enjoyed with onion, garlic, spice and all things nice! No place for fuss pots.
Thali system.
Typical Gujarati food with a pre decided menu for each day of the week. Though certain dishes stay common.
Best during May-June as they serve awesome Aam rass.
Food Grade: 4/5

That my first visit to vashi..... Had a awesome dinner in Maharaja Thaal good service, enjoyed the food as I am from South India. Had a great time, unlimited food , pocket friendly ambience was good and nice interior 😃
Food: Best thaali food available in vashi right now. Great variety and rich flavours unlimited food
I have been here over 10 times and still not bored of it
They offer some nice sweets complimented with butter milk.
Go here if u miss 'maa ke hath ka khana'
Service: good service but the only problem is that the waiters don't understand the meaning of NO...if you tell them u dont want something they insist on us having that thing...which after a point gets irritating
Ambience: good ambience...folk music playing in the background is all u need...cool management
Welcome winters with Gujarati special Undhiyu, bhakhri, khichdi, kadhi, gatta nu shaak, patra, jalebi and much more with this Gujarati thali @maharajathaal

Maharaja Thaal yaa... yaa.... it goes like that only you feel maharaja/maharani😁 awesome rajasthani and Gujarati cusines.nice place for having thaali in navi Mumbai. Had a dinner, thaali was full of amazing traditionally prepared dishes. The food was really fresh and well cooked loved the taste as usual the undhiyu was the boss of the thaali😎 ambience is nice giving the touch of archaic/antiquated rajasthani decor.staff was nice.no doubt Heavy on your tummy but not on your pocket according to what they are serving not at all.A must try place for thaali lovers😁✌
I always love eating a thaali. Tried out this place for the first time. Very friendly staff. They will feed you royally. More than 15 dishes. Lip smacking. Blend of rajasthan and gujarat. Go only if u very hungry. A bit pricey but i think it matches with the amount of quantity we get to eat. Perfect vegetarian delight.
Ah their Gujarati dal was what I loved the most because it was like my home cooked dal.
And I astonished myself by eating their Gawar sabji 😛 it was tasty.Dal Bati and other things were okay. That turban will steal the show !
Maharaja style 😎
By seeing the plate , you just say wow , I want to have this , when I had it , it was good but not excellent ,but excellent variety , unlimited buffet , great service, a hope for all the vegetarian people. The price for buffet is also very cheap. A must try , and enjoy the decorations on your plate.

Good tasting food, no soda like other thali joints. quick service. friendly staff. hygienic and efficient seating. parking is an issue unless you want to park on road and risk police towing your car.....a bit higher priced though but running full...loved the veggies, basundi with custard apple(sitaphal), and samosa chat....
That's my first visit to thali restaurant , I am not big fan of veg food , anyways food here is ok ok not extraordinary or not wow but decent quality , very reasonable,
One can think that he is a Maharaja for a moment !!
Maharaja Thaal is a veg thaali restaurant, situated in Vashi
Service was extremely wonderful, I didn't have to ask for anything, it is like they are there to serve you and satisfy you, I would say best service till date, the restaurant though has some good vibes, you would automatically feel that the people around you are good enough, and them I was served with their hospitality. I would give full marks for their service
The food was good, the restaurant was slightly empty may be coz it was not a weekend , talking about the sweet dishes it was just amazing, yhe chaas was superb , talking about (mutter paneer) I didn't taste so good.
A good dining experience at an affordable price.

AMBIENCE : 4/5
You surely get positive vibes once you enter this place... The ambience is very nice with nice decor and comfortable seating....
STAFF & SERVICE 4/5
One of the most polite, sober and profesisonal staff and service i have seen. They really make you feel special....Few of their staffs are also dressed in rajasthani attire and add a nice feeling to he ambience.
FOOD 3.5/5
They only serve thaalis with rajsthani and gujrati cuisine.
It includes salad, papad, different chutneys, 3 veg, 2 dal (sweet & regular), assorted chapatis, rice or khichdi, 2 sweets, buttermilk and a bottle of water.
Food is not very extraordinarily great but good. They need to get in some more variation...i visited on monday and the menu had very simple and common dishes.
X-FACTOR
- EASY ON POCKET : It costed me 600 for 2 thaals... including tax...
- Ambience is nice.
Good place for a Rajasthani cuisine. Reasonably priced. Had gone fee months back when mangoes were the season. Had lots of aamras. Service is really quick. At times you don't get to have it at your own pace unless there is not queue outside. They don't take reservations.
Very good ambience,i liked the way we were welcomed by a porter dressed in typical rajasthani dress. It really gave me a different feeling of the place.Coming to food. I would say it was up to the mark but much improvement can be done. The food variation was quite limited. I was a bit disappointed to get 3 different daal served and less main dishes. However I would gave a really good rating for the rotis and specially the puran poli. In fact it refreshed my taste bud. Back home in Mauritius we have a a similar bread type called tekwa.
I cannot believe I'm saying this but this is THE BEST vegetarian food I've ever ever had. There was literally nothing on that thaal that I could fault. It was PERFECTION on a plate. I gladly overate and most definitely will again too.
And the service we got ... Oh.My.God. ... I was gobsmacked by it. I have never felt so special. It felt like they really, really cared about every single person on the table. Their respect and love for food shone through their elite, polite behavior. Their readiness to make sure everyone was well looked after and fed could easily set an example for the most popular of restaurants. If big restauranteurs learnt even an ounce of how to service customers from the amazing staff of Maharaja Thaal, the big-shot restaurants would have more than delighted customers.
Definitely, surely, 100% coming back for more and highly recommending to try this restaurant at least once and I'm most certain it won't be your last visit.
Every single person on the table was most certainly treated like the most wealthiest of "Maharajas".
Felt like a Maharaja (literally) !!
Maharaja Thaal is a veg thaali restaurant situated in Satra Plaza Vashi.
From the moment I entered the restaurant till the time I left, there was positivity all around (in terms of service and gratitude). I was completely bowled over by their hospitality and with the respect they serve guests. Kudos. Full marks in terms of service.
The food was not a let down either, surprisingly (given the number of empty tables). The sweet dishes served in the thaal were excellent, some of the veg dishes lacked taste (Mutter Paneer), the chaas was excellent.
A good dining experience at an affordable price.

I recently visited Maharaja Thaal and boy was I surprised to find it the most amazing Thali ever!!
Every item on the menu, I mean everything was delicious! Right from their super soft wheat rotis to makai paneer, rajma masala, veg pulao, khichdi, kadi and Atta halwa. I don't think every Thali restaurant has this quality and taste in ALL of the dishes. I'm definitely going again and highly recommend to all.
I visited Maharaja Thaal today, 15th August 2016. The day being India's 70th Independence Day, the entire place was decorated in sync with the theme.. So was the food! We had a Tirangi Dhokla and veggies in the thaali that followed the Saffron, White and Green colour scheme.. It's not too oily.. A really good place!
The place serves Gujarati & Rajasthani thali, the same format as Rajdhani or Panchvati Gaurav.
It includes lots of varieties such as salad, papad, 2 starters, different chutneys, 3 veg, 2 dal (sweet & regular), assorted chapatis, rice or khichdi, 2 or 3 sweets, buttermilk and a bottle of water.
The food is not extraordinary but it is good. A family dinner or lunch will be a good option, as food is well prepared and served.
The service is quick and staff is attentive. The seating is comfortable and décor is really nice.
Not at all heavy on your pocket.345 Rs per person is a good deal as food is worth it.
Nice place to go for with family.
Heaven for pure vegetarian lovers.
Pocket friendly place hai.
We were a table of 5, ended up paying 1725/- AI if m not wrong, which is a good deal.
Awsum experience, 1st time i visited with family n was impressed. From entrance to table, man comes to wash u r hands in sahi style on u r table was sumthing diffrent n never seen before. When it comes to ambience it is class, typical royal rajasthan fell. Staff is very polite n decent. Special attension by manger on every table.
Staff dont shout to call each other they tap their fingers which was very unique n never seen before any where. This makes atomsphere calm n silent luved their way of hospitality.
When it comes on food no words to explain it is really awsum. If u have not visited even once u shud visit dis place with family specially because there r vry few paces in navi mumbai where u get combonation of good food, ambiance, taste, hygene and class. Dis is the best place in vashi where i had best veg food.
Thali is full of surprises they start with 3 types of chutney green, sweet red n orange colour lassun wali which is the best if u r a spice luver. They serve 3 types of breads chapati, methi ki roti n a small roti which was thick. 3 types of rice, 3 types of bhaji one was paneer n 2 others, 2 types of dal sweet n spicy. 2 types of desert it was pethi ka halwa n basundi when i visited i luved their desert. Many more things were there in thal which i misses to write over all it is full paisa vasool👍.
Highly recommended to try once.
Absolute stunner!!! I never expected it to be so tasty and wholesome.
Rs. 345 per head for unlimited, 10-12 varieties of veggies with 3 sweets (apple basundi, authentic jalebi and ghee halva)
Rotis, puri's with ghee.
They do give you a complimentary Bailey bottle just like Bbq nation.
Service was too good and so is the ambience !! Interior is beautifully decorated with Rajasthani theme. LOVED IT!!!
Also ordered a Meal box today. It was really worth the money spent. Rs. 155 and you get 2 vegetables, dal, 5 chapatis, rice, Dhokla. The veg dishes included sum aalo and paneer makhni.
None the less it included a mouth watering chocolate halva and mouth freshner. To be frank, i haven't had such a low cost and good quality meal in boxes earlier. Thaal rocks! Go for it even if you intend to order something for lunch at your office. Good option.
This was my first ever thaali experience after a long time.. Well i wanted to visit here from few days! And finally today for my father's bday celebration we came here... Yeah i know typical indian family thing.. Who cares the food is what we care about! So we had this Utsav thaali... Well to begin with the interiors of this restaurant is very suitable to their gujarati rajasthani theme... And the aroma of sandalwood at the tables is just too epic.. It gives the basic feel to the entire theme and food.
At the beginning a man came to us for washing our hands.. Their system was abit different.. A unique experience tho..
So this Utsav thaali consists of bhendi masala, bengann(brinjal) masala, paneer kadhai, gujurati kadi, gujurati daal, Phulkas, biscuit roti, meethi thepla, rice/khichdi, chaas, rabdi, gulab jamun, samosa, dhokla sandwich, masala papad, chutneys and pickles.. Just for INR358!!! Hell yeah that's what i am talking about baby... Bomb food without burning my pockets! Too good and Yeah i finished all that😍😂. It was a complete unique experience about the food and the services and everything.. I will definitely suggest everyone reading this review to do visit Maharaja Thaal once when in vashi. 😊
It has been a long time since I visited this place, but I am writing this review because the restaurant was not available on zomato for quite some time. Anyways lets get straight to the review
The ambiance is just perfect for a Rajasthani restaurant. It gives Desi vibes with a modern touch. The food was not at all anything special but it was good. I was expecting something unique like the Maharaja Bhog
restaurant in Goregaon offers. They offer a great variety. The service was excellent, they just know when you need something. It is very reasonably price at Rs. 300 per thaali. The restaurant is worth a try if you live nearby.

First of all; the waiting time is little despite the crowd, proving their efficiency in quickly winding up tables. As soon as you enter, the interiors already make you happy. The icing on the cake is when the staff welcomes you wholeheartedly and serves you happily.
The Rajasthani and Gujrati style thaali was simple and tasty. The menu was interesting; and the sabzis that were cooked were tasty. The staff also brings a jug to help you wash hands before and after meal. Would recommend.
Service was good i must say ..!! I had been to this restaurant in the evening & this restaurant was almost empty. Food is good & it didn't make me feel this was one of the best i have ever tasted. In short, its decent not too good not too bad.!!
Its no ordinary thali with sabzi, roti, & dal. Instead one can find a greater variety with some really good traditional dish. They way the entire thali is served they actually makes you feel like a Maharaja and pleases you with a dawat. Advised to visit the place on weekends even though they charge an extra 50 bucks its worth every penny. Its good even on weekdays but weekends are lit better. Summer season they serve AAMRAS, dn delicious. They sometime also have Rajasthani dishes like dal bhatti with churma, moong dal halwa and so.

One word to describe this place- "UNLIMITED"
Almost all the items were good....pocket friendly...good for family get together...service was very good...loved the place...must try...
Food quality is good..!! You get thaali's (unlimited).
For vegetarians this is good option.
The service is very good.
Viram Singh(the manager i guess) was very polite and friendly!!
More than i think its the service that i was happy with!!
Meal for 2: Rs700 (with taxes)
Located in satra plaza sec 19 vashi. The sitting space in small not so spacious. They serve veg thaal consisting of farsan (dhokla n very roll) four type for sabji , phulka n puri , they have three type of rice plain rice, pulav n dal kichidi. The dal kichidi veg good as compared to pulav had two type of curry dal n gujarati kafi. Amaras n chaas were too good. The service is quick n the thaal is unlimited. 1 thaal cost around 350. But u have to wait for ur turn as the place is cowarded on weekends. Hope to visit again soon.
Really great variety, good food and ambience. A must try for homelike food but with an extravanganza of sweets and snacks too. They also serve curd or extras on request, cool place for north-west indian cusine.
The restaurant is located in satara plaza vashi. This place is a vegetarian delight and their hospitality is unmatched. They serve unlimited thali with love. The thali comprises of paneer dish , dal , dhokla , dal baati and numerous other things but the AAM ras stands out. Do visit in case you are looking for scrumptious vegetarian food.
Awesome awesome.... What a amazing place.... 5* for staff.... Such amazing staff they have... Very polite and helpful..... They were serving us like family member (thoda aur le na sir) apart from that food was good... Value for every penny... Unlimited aamras was best thing about thaal.... Overall experience was too good... I'll definitely go again again😚
Makings of all the nice thing a thaali should have.. Lovely farsan, the sabzees were all super fresh and tasty.. Especially the cabbage, rajma and paneer.. Sigh.. Unlimited mango pulp was a bonus. To tap it the khichdi and pulao was lovely accompanied by 2 customary daals and Gujarati kadhi.. Yummm.. Ok so topping all this was the rava and malpoa with Rabdi. So the review is long not cause there's so much to write.. But there was so much to eat..!! 😄 Did I mention, there was also koftas, paapar and chhaas..... Sigh... I had to skip dinner.. But for 345 bucks I'd drive across town all over again for this..!
This has been one of the most hearty meals I have had till date!
They did justice to every penny I spent. Amazing food, super courteous staff, efficient service! The place is a little cramped but I wouldn't mind as long as the food's great. And yes, for the quality and quantity, it's quite cheap.
Highly recommended!
Have already visited this place more than once and have walked out with my belly full, cribbing to myself of having eaten too much. The moment you lay your eyes on this establishment with its traditional getup infused with modern furnishing, you expect a certain level of high standards in service & food and they do not fail.
Although catering to a single cuisine, they do check all the correct boxes. The spread is always good with no compromise on the quality. The choice of dishes are regularly refreshed to keep the the thaali interesting.
While they do almost everything correct, there are a couple of points that i would like to bring out over the service.
-The service is quite intrusive. You simply cannot have a peaceful conversation over lunch or dinner before a waiter interrupts you to serve. And the interruptions are very frequent. I'd rather have a captain close by to tell him what i need and only that specific person serving the specific dish could visit the table.
-While I appreciate the gesture of insisting the customer to try out different dishes and to eat hearty, the insisting sometimes is stretched a bit too far. I'd be more than happy if just the captain on the floor visited the table once and did this part less aggressively rather than the whole army of waiters who visit the table.
Having said that, the above is subjective i believe and i find the service to be good so i wouldn't take their points away.
Overall, one of the best places for this cuisine. Now i don't need to travel all the way to Samrat(Fort) for this cuisine. Well done guys!
Went for team lunch and some celebration.
the food here is really authentic and tastes well.
Dont forget to try Aam Ras.
Some other good stuff to try would be Utsav Thali with yummy dhokla, kachori, Kheecha papad, Aam Rass, Khichdi etc.
This is a good place for those who want to try authentic Rajasthani/Gujrati thali.
Great service.
Just had lunch from there....unlimited rajasthani thali....loved it!!!!Excellent food, great ambience and great service. The unlimited supply of aamras was superb!
Maharaja Thaal - Vashi - Navi Mumbai
Review No.622
WOW - What a place ! Just back to my local place of stay in Navi Mumbai after a sumptuous meal at the Maharaja Thaal - veggers family restaurant.
The more I am exploring this small part and parcel of VASHI, I am beginning to enjoy my food journey at Mumbai.
I am really delighted with my experience at Maharaja Thaal and being the 10th reviewer of this 6-months old place, I am quite surprised that only 9 people before me have reviewed this place and have uploaded just '5' photographs.
Ambience, Decor & Seating Arrangements
During my Ola Cab drive yesterday evening, I passed-by this restaurant and the catchy 'Rajasthani attired' folk-man at the entrance with a turban and colourful dress caught my attention. Ever since, this place was on my radar and this evening, after an awesome day at work, I decided to dine-in here. The ambience of this place comes alive on entering the restaurant with waiters moving around wearing the traditional Rajasthani dress. The place is located on the ground floor and has a seating capacity of approx 80-people. This evening, the restaurant was jam packed with people ranging from a cute around 10-year old boy to an old couple in the 70's for sure. All engrossed in enjoying their buffet thali comprising of Rajasthani as well as Gujarati cuisines. The food-culture out here is tremendous and infact filled with customs and traditions of the past.
Theme at Maharaja Thaal
Extremely kind of Mr Bhimanna, the General Manager of Maharaja Thaal who was present there during my visit to this place sometimes back. Striking a conversation with him, I learnt that this place is owned by Mr Gajaram Chaudhary who belongs to Rajasthan. The Chefs and most of the serving staff out here hail from Rajasthan. The entire theme revolves around the 'Royal Treat' or the 'Diwane Khas' which was a traditional Maharaja's Meal in the olden times.
Concept of Food
This place is all about 'buffet-thalis' wherein this traditionally royal combo cuisines from the land of Rajasthan and Gujarat is served in thalis with a fixed menu. The menu changes daily and on saturdays-sundays, there are more delicacies which form part of their special menus.
Value for Money - Awesome !!
The per head cost of Monday to Friday Rajasthani-Gujarati Thali is INR-295 which has NO hidden charges like VAT etc. They have special consideration for the kids upto 8 years wherein the cost of thali dips to INR-195/-
Lets talk of food :-
Before I share my food-experience, I must say that the hospitality and service out here is 5/5 and I don't find this happen at many place that I visit. The moment you enter the restaurant, you find a Rajasthani clad waiter ushering you to an available seat. I was lucky that without prior reservations, I got a reasonably good seat or else, an advanced booking is highly recommended.
On being seated, a huge thali with more than 8-bowls is waiting to be loaded with choicest of delicacies. Different set of serving staff keep visiting your table and begin adding more and more table onto your thali. The non-stop serving of dishes was truly the style of the 'Maharajas' of the past.
Well - I will wrap up this review by talking of the food that I liked :-
Dal Bati Churma - It was delicious and 'authentic', the way in which the original dal bati is prepared. You don't need to prepare the churma as they do it for you as part of their serving.
Mirchi Wada - Loved it and reminded me of my 3 years stay at Jodhpur. The mirchi wadas were miniature in size and tasted good.
Jodhpuri Gatta and Rajasthani Gwar - Both are my favourite foods and liked it :)
There was so much on my platter that not much additional serving was needed. It was kind enough of the good people out there to serve me with some rice which was not part of the buffet menu for the day.
The other dishes in the thali were - palak paneer, marwadi dal, guj dal, kanda tomato, khatta dhokla (Gujarati) and in desserts, aam ras, moong dal halwa was good.
Overall - in just INR-295, it was a perfect 'feast'. I can go on and on writing about more things up there which I liked but would like to stop here.
Wonderful Experience :)
Great ambience, best service , Delicious meal , unlimited food and awesome flavors of gujarat and rajasthan , a must visit place for a foodie person who likes to eat different varieties of dishes , in a reasonable price of 285 .. I would like to give them 4.5 ratings .
This place serves thalis where you can get each item unlimited times...first thing you will notice is the person in traditional dress welcoming you..ambience is good and the service is fast and sometimes the staff forcefully fills your thali till you say stop!!! The food is mainly gujarati which means the kadi and dal are little bit sweet in taste..i liked the palak paneer, aamras and halwa...but overall the food was average and not as per my expectations..
Great hospitality, Good Food. The owner was too sweet to interact with each an every guest which gives that personal touch. A true marwadi hospitality of making you eat till you say "ab bas...aur nahi"
There was no particular dish that stand out all were equally finger licking and its truly a vegetarians paradise.
People who crave for the famous Daal Baati-churma its only available on Tuesdays & Thursdays
So much goodness. I absolutely love this place. Already been here twice. Amazing rajasthani cum gujrati food. No dish on the plate I didn't like. Aamras during the summer. Lovely fruit salad shrikhand in the winter. Gulab jamuns to die for and of course the rest of menu which is also extremely satisfying. Keep only one thing in mind you will be extremely full when you're done unless you're one of those mindful eaters (in which case you probably shouldn't be visiting the place in the first place 😜). Also do not eat breakfast if visiting for lunch and drink a couple of cups of green tea before you go so you feel hungry 😜. I don't advise going for dinner since it's way too much food.
I was craving to go this place and asked Zomato to put this restaurant on their database but still its not a complete profile they have of it.
So lets start by saying that the ambience is amazing and the Marwadi Style guy standing on the door to greet you is a happy guy and coming to the main point.. This is the most affordable unlimited food joints Ive been to.
Food is delicious and tastes just like home and has good amount of varieties in Main Course but no good starters to be found here compared to other joints Ive been to.
Totally I would recommend you to go there and try this food out .. I just loved this place and will go back some other day...
Only suggestion for them is Increase your vareity of starters.
This is one of the best among the Thali chains that I've tried. They have a great variety and each dish is really tasty. I absolutely adore the rotlas with a dollop of ghee and jaggery. In fact it was one of the friendly staff who taught us the correct way to have rotlas. The rajasthani kadhi is delicious. And to top it all its friendly on your pocket too at around Rs.325 per thaali! My only suggestion is that the management should include rajasthani kadhi in their daily menu rather than as a delicacy available on few days only.
Update : They have stopped accepting cards for some reason. It is now cash only.
Awesome Gujarati Food that too unlimited. Waiters and Captain are the most understanding people. Before the plate gets empty they will come and serve. Quality of Food is awesome :-)
Not a great Fan of sweets or gujrati thalis but I love visiting rajdhani once in a while..The food is authentically traditional great items in Thali..Thalis are unlimited and u should visit on Tuesday for best offers. Thali prices only 300-350 for Tuesday offer and is unlimited. Every rajdhani branch has some difference in items everyday for like farsan and small stuff but rest main course remains same.Should visit once for the experience.
Craving for a rajbhog kind of veg thali? Then this is a place for you. They serve delicious meal with lots of varieties of indian breads and subz and curries. Their hospitality will make you feel nothing less than a royal. Hand washs are brought to your table ore and post meal. As i visited here during the mango season i had aamras to the peak. Their cuisine is a mix of Rajasthani and Gujarathi food. The ambience will make you enjoy every bite of your meal. Loved it here. They have many branches across, do visit.
Passing by this restaurant, my fiance thought of give a try. So, me and him went to this place for dinner, all the staff treated us like family ❤️. Starting from washing your hands till the desert, they didn't left your side. They are asking for refilling our THALIS multiple times , Budget Friendly, It costs around 1197/- for two... and most interesting thing is this is UNLIMITED. From the bottom of my heart I want to say you should visit this restaurant atleast Once. Then you gonna know why we are asking you to visit. Loved It . Once again I want to Thank each n every member who served us. ❣️ We Love You Rajdhani ❤️ Will visit soon ❤️
Padharo!
The moment you enter, you are greeted with a smile. A perfect family dine-in thali restaurant that serves lip-smacking delicacies. Majorly focusing on Gujarati & Rajasthani Cuisines, this place is an ideal place to have unlimited food. Their unlimited thali with 30-32 different variety of dishes is bound to satisfy your tastebuds. The ambience is quite colorful and vibrant which will surely enhance your mood. A blend of six tastes identified by ayurvedic nutrition, their thali will surely leave you awestruck. The restaurant can easily accommodate a huge number and the seating will snuggle you in comfort. The staff is quite courteous and is super quick while assisting you. Here's what I had:
The moment you are comfortably seated, they will start serving. To start with they served different types of chutneys, followed by pickle and salad. The next was farsan which was piping hot. The crispy kachori with dhokla made a superb combination. The kachori was stuffed with spicy dry mix that tickled my tastebuds. While the dhokla was absolutely fluffy and soft.
Dal baati churma, a popular Rajasthani delicacy was then served with loads of ghee. The dal was mildly spiced while the sweet churma complimented it well.
Next were different types of veggies and dal. The veggies consisted of Paneer maharani which was mildly spiced, bitter gourd which was bit sweet and did not had that sharp bitter taste. The peas and potato veggie was delicious. Different types of dal, one was sweet while the other one was spicy. Tangy and sweet kadhi was also served.
Next served was thepla, bajra roti with gud and makhan, and phulka. In sweet they served hot jalebis with rabri and basundi. You can also opt for Veg pulav and masala khichdi which is topped with Desi ghee. Pair it with kadhi and you will enjoy the combination. Along with food do keep having chilled masala chaas.
It is an experience worth remembering for long. Do visit your family and you will surely fall in love with this place.
One of the best restaurant in Navi Mumbai for authentic Rajasthani food. The restaurant is located on palm beach road, vashi. Very accessible for everyone.
✨ They have different menu for each day in week. Also they have special offer on Tuesday where you will get thali at 325 INR only.
✨ Along with good food taste and quality, their hospitality is best. Very polite staff with very cooperative manager and team. Very impressed with the service.
Now coming on to food, it was really tasty, authentic and wholesome meal. A must try place in vashi.
#HappyDining🌈
Recently we visited this amazing outlet named Rajdhani Thali which serves authentic Rajasthani / Gujarati Thalis. This restaurant is located at Satra Plaza, Vashi. The ambience is awesome with traditional Rajasthani vibes and artifacts.
We tried their authentic thali which had more than 20 items in it. The flavour of the food was authentic and had the perfect blend of traditional flavors.
They served Dal Bhatti Churma which had that perfect taste. They also served missal, meethi dal, gujarati kadhi, chawal kheer, variety of vegetables and different types of rotis, thepla.
For dessert we had rabdi jalebi and sheera. We ended our meal with buttermilk.
Over all it was a great experience where we enjoyed amazing food along with good vibes and very prompt and supportive staff.
This place has multiple outlets and I have visited their Vashi outlet recently which turned as an absolute and perfect place for family. Entering the restaurant we grabbed a seat and the great Hospitality mesmerized me. They greet with tilak and Arti. We were given bouls for washing hands before the food and they started serving filing the thali constituting Farsan, Vegetables, Dal/Kadhi, Rice/Khichdi, Indian Bread, Deserts, Salad. This season they have the aamilicious festival going on. The thali was just amazing and really good with taste as well as presentation. Would recommend everyone to visit the place and experience it yourself.
Rajdhani is more than just a name! It's a royal celebration with traditional ghee-laden cuisine that hails from the mighty states of Rajasthan and Gujarat. The ambience is aesthetic and gives you a palatial feel. The staff is courteous, warm and efficient. This place serves unlimited Thali under budget and the food menu is changed on a daily basis. You are in for a Maharaja treatment at this restaurant with their wide range of delicious starters, mains and desserts all leading to a second or perhaps a third serving.
One time visit place with ample of good vibes and service, just need to focus on the taste of main menu and specially on daal batti which is signature dish provide here. Other wise good to go.
Excellent food. Excellent service. I love it!!!!! Treated my staff to lunch at this place.
Today visited @rajdhanithali located in satra plaza, vashi.
Their hospitality and food is really appealing. They welcomed us with tikka and greetings. We were served their signature thalis with unique dishes such as tomato halwa, palak Puri, holi special gujiyas , jalebi with rabdi, phirni to name a few!
The entire spread is literally soul filling and you will be confused of what to eat and what not! On women's day they are also giving goodies to all the women! Do visit Rajdhani to experience it's one of a kind hospitality and food!
This is a restaurant located in vashi (Navi Mumbai). This place is best known for their thali system. The restaurant is also awarded with the novel as king of thali. The food there is good their services offered are also good and the atmosphere is maintained here. I just felt they add soda in the food items which just make you feel full. The prices of that thali are moderate. They offer a good number of items in the thali that justify the amount that they take. The overall experience was good and decent.
After a while I found an amazing restaurant that serves great thali.
Good variety of delicacies that are served well by the staff.
Given the area and the location, I found even the thali price wasn't too much.
Parking could be difficult to find but there is vallet parking available and a staff person will help get it.
Khandani Rajdhani restaurant gives an amazing experience of authentic Rajasthani food and culture.
They welcome all customers in a traditional way. The ambiance looks beautiful.
They serve different menus every day. The staff is very cooperative and explain us everything about the food they serve.
when I visited there were almost 20 - 25 items in the Thali. Had a sweet rajasthani flavour in every vegetable. I loved the taste and the quantity was good.
I will definitely recommend everyone to try this Rajasthani thali and they usually have a lot of offers.
Visited Rajdhani located in Vashi for lunch. Must say its one of the best family dine in restaurant serving some lipsmacking gujrati-rajasthani cuisine. They serve more than 24 items in their unlimited thaali & there is a new menu everyday. I feel the biggest strength of this restaurants are the quality food & most humble and friendly staff.
Overall had a great time here. Its an ideal place for family outings or Get-togethers for lunch / dinner. Highly recommended.
We had been to this famous Resto Rajdhani, to celebrate parent's wedding anniversary last weekend, fabulous ambience, serene interiors, top notch service & spacious seating.
We opted in Grand Wholesome Thali, served steamy hot, fresh & fulfilling to the core!
Damni Dhokla was luscious, super soft & freshly cooked.
Palak Aam Ras Chaat, was unique & surprisingly mind boggling!
Kairi Corn Capsicum Salad, was super fresh & its taste was awesome!
We also had Dal Bhati Churma, it was crisp, spicy & blend was amazing!
Paneer Mango Pasanda, was one of its kind, flavourful & good experiment indeed.
Kaju Karela, was again a never had before dish, fusion was superb & good to try.
Aloo Kanda Sambhariya, was kind of regular in appearance, but its taste was too good to have in intervals.
Aam ki Launji, is a seasonal serving, freshly tossed up with herbs!
Later, in add ons we had Kairi Surti Dal, & Dal Tadkewali, both were steamy & balanced with typical smoky style tadka.
Khatiya Wadi Khichdi & Kairi Masala Bhat were good to have alongwith dal sidings.
Phulka, Puri & Jeera Paratha were complimenting in true sense.
In desserts, we had our all time favourite Aamras, Mango Barfi & Malpua with Rabdi, every bite was soothing & taste was lingering for quite a lot time.
Do visit & have a fab time with friends & fam!
