Was looking for a good Asian restaurant nearby. And then just remembered, we have one very near to our home. Mama Pondo Asian Cafe - Fatty Momo's. Name changed though. Coming to food, it was awesome. Double Pan Fried Veg noodles & Mama's Favourite Grilled Chicken. They served complimentary welcome drink and candy which is just awesome. And very courteous staff and manager.
Polite and courteous staff , calm and soothing ambience . Food is sumptous . Ordered a soup, dimsum and chicken on skewers . Everything was well on point. Had great dinner :)
Mama Pondo is more like a restaurant than cafe , located on the Palm Beach Road . Ambience is really good and serene , you will get a calm feeling looking at the interiors and the ambience . The staff is very cooperative.
We were greeted by a welcome drink called Amuse Bouche , different yet refreshing taste.
Cantonese Chicken open Dimsums: A very well prepared delicacy , the outer cover had a very good texture , just like a normal dimsum but the minced chicken inside was cooked just right with the perfect ingredients .

Pondo's Favourite Chilli Chicken : A MUST TRY . A very good starter , with no ingredient overpowering . A perfect chilli chicken . I recommend you all to try this.

A small asian outlet, with extremely cosy ambience, overtly humble staff and scrumptious food.
On arrival they offer a complimentary drink/dish, I have no idea what it is called but... It was amaazzzziiinnng, with a very steamy presentation. We ordered Pondo belly, vegetable mee goreng, and tofu mountain chilly bao.
The pondo belly extremely crunchy and soft, with a well balanced sweet and spicy taste, which absolutely melts as soon as it hits the mouth. The vegetable mee goreng noodles were a good blend of tranditional asian flavors with a modern touch. The bao were a little disappointing though. On a full tummy and a good lingering taste on the tongue, I would say it is one of the best asian spots in town.
Really good place. Authentic place for oriental good. The service is great too - staff suggests well. We enjoyed everything we ordered - soups, bao, starters, prawn curry. Portions can be a little better where rice is served along with gravy. Overall, would recommend it to anyone looking for good oriental food in Navi Mumbai. Also location is convenient from perspective of access and parking.

A small place tucked along the service road on Palm Beach Road near Nerul. Such a lovely place. Very friendly staff, delicious food and novel palette cleansers make it a delightful experience. Be here with family or friends the place has the right vibes and food on point. We totally loved the roasted chicken bao and chicken basil dumplings. If they continue the way they do, I doubt you will walk out with a less than memorable experience. ❤️

Located at a beautiful spot at Palm Beach beside Indigo is this sweet little Cafe with an inviting exterior and an even more welcoming interior.
This Cafe has a really pleasant and relaxed ambience which makes it perfect for anyone to dine here with their close ones.
It felt really good to be greeted with a welcome drink- called Amuse-Bouche which had a refreshing taste.
The light music, the friendly and helpful staff, the pretty furniture were some of the sweet little add ons to the appetizing food which I'll talk about now.
Cantonese Chicken Open Dimsums: A neat presentation with a good texture. The minced chicken melted so well in the mouth which showed it had been cooked well. The dimsums here, did indeed give 'a light touch on the heart' living up to the meaning of the word dim sum.
Pondo's Famous Chilli Chicken- A Must Try. A perfect Chilli Chicken. The meat was perfectly tender and the proportionate spice does it's magic.
Veg Hakka Noodles: Decent preparation with a good taste and yes a really good quantity.

Mama pondo wonderful Asian food the food ambiance is just wow staff is too polite and sweet . We had gone for ala carte buffet lunch we had welcomed with some unique welcome drink name Amous boos must try then soups ,starters, dumplings and yes then again a twist they gave us bingaw-taste changer it’s kind of kulfi but not kulfi it will bring your tongue taste back to normal from those starters taste . Then in main course all where good but I loved fish 😍 in dessert they had fried noodles with honey and ice cream overall my experience was good .

I always wanted to visit here, the location of the cafe is fantastic offering an open view of palm beach road.

As far as the food goes, firstly, they offered me a herb cooler which was surprisingly good and unique, kind of a welcome drink, and then I ordered chicken breast with a couple of sauces as starters, quantity was not upto the mark, but it was delicious.
Before the main course, another thing they offered me free which was a small kiwi icicle service in a very cute miniature bucket, they said it was for the change of taste into the main course, much welcome.
For the main course , I ordered some prawns dish which was spectacular, it was like I tasted some new flavours altogether.
Finally for dessert, I ordered Volcano, it's simply a drink of chocolate and nuts, very good.

Amazing place. Do go there to get tiny pleasant surprises. Everything 'special' is delicious but even regular dishes like chicken fried rice are yummy. It's made in chicken broth so full of chicken aroma infused in it. You won't mistake it for veg rice if you remove the chicken pieces.

Recently got a chance to visit this cafe. Its situated on the quite famous Palm Beach Road. This is a really good place to spend some time and have some good authentic Chinese and Thai Food. They provide with complementary shots which really taste amazing. A bit disappointed with the Chicken spring Roll and extremely disappointed with Chocolate milkshake thats why I gave four instead of 5 stars. The starters and the main course here is fabulous. In desserts the Fried Ice Cream is something new and amazing. Would like to recommend this place to you for some authentic Chinese in a budget orientation.

I accidentally ended up here after a colleagues reference. And found the dimsum's to be so yum that I drove Pune-mumbai with my wife to have them again. Perhaps now it's on my to-visit list on every Mumbai host. I would like to try everything on menu one by one. All the right ingredients. Tasty food, courteous staff, awesome experience... Amazing restaurant with delicious food and value for money. The service was excellent staff were really humble. To start off with they served a complimentary drink which was made of fresh cream and flavoured with lemon grass was very different and tasty too. For starters we ordered hot plate mama's special grilled chicken which was amazing. For main course we ordered Butter garlic noodles to go with it Basa Fish Fillet in chilli basil sauce which was really nice. Towards the end they served a complimentary palatte cleanser which was again different and tasty as well. Overall a very nice place to hangout with friends and family.

Saturday evening dinner plans were made with my school friends and we decided to prioritize food, quiet and cozy ambience and something close by. Me being an avid Zomato user, zeroed in on Mama Pondo reading all the lovely reviews.
We were there at around 8.15pm and they had a private birthday celebration going on so we weren't sure whether they were open. Well we were relieved when the Manager said they were.
Even with the kids running around and yelling, we still decided to give it a try.
Nice simple interiors with panda pictures on the walls and cute coasters. We got straight into placing our food order.
Beverages:

- Cottage Cheese Coriander & Chili
We got our food pretty quick and everything was super delicious. The drinks were refreshing and the soup was just perfect for a rainy day. They also served us a complimentary drink (I just couldn't get the name) which looked and tasted really interesting. We loved the crispy corn, the cottage cheese coriander was the only dish I felt was average on taste - tad spicy for my taste buds but my friends liked it.
Moving on to the mains:
- Thai Green Curry (Veg)
- Calcutta Chili Chicken Wrap
The Thai green curry was served with jasmine rice and salad. The presentation of the dish looked amazing and it tasted really yumm. My friend tried Calcutta Chili Chicken Wrap and loved it. It had a lovely twist and the wrap was soft and fresh.
Overall a good food experience and value for money place. The only annoying factor was the noise level with the group celebrating their private party, which was something the management should have taken care of if they were open to other guests too. But I'm sure on other days, this shouldn't really be the case :)
5stars comes primarily with the helpful staff and best taste in the town.
Worth trying Chicken Chengdu and Volcano dessert.

Came here for a very random lunch plan after looking up Asian restaurants on my trusty Zomato app. And I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the quaint little Asian cafe. I had the Prawn and Sriracha bao, the Khao Suey and for desert Darsaan which was basically honey noodles with vanilla ice cream. The food was quiet tasty and portions were decent. Presentation warranted a picture for my Insta. Only think I didn’t like was the salty ice pop they served with the khao suey, it felt out of place and I honestly didn’t know how it was supposed to accompany the food. But it was a minor inconvenience I was willing to brush under the carpet after seeing the bill. If you’re planning a date and don’t wanna stress your pockets guys, you might wanna look into Mama Pondo, Nerul.

One of the best Chinese menu. Ambience perfect. Host perfect. We were greeted with their special complimentary drinks/shots which were really refreshing. For starters we had the smoked chicken breast. Quantity wise, a bit less but it was overlooked by the main course. For main course we ordered Double Pan Fried Noodles with Chicken. Suffice to say, we forgot about the starter! With crisp fried noodles and chunks of chicken and lots of veggies, it was perfect. Also they serve a palatte cleanser after every meal which is amazing! Overall, a great experience.

This is probably the best thing to have happened at nerul west. With a simple and pretty ambience we were already quite impressed.
Now let's talk food
So, as I have visited this place twice already I'll be mentioning about both the times.
On my first visit, I was welcomed with their complimentary drink, which was something really unique and exquisite. Then I had on my plate, beetroot infused chicken dimsum, a little heavy on pocket but it tastes great, especially their dipping sauces took our breath away! Then comes smoked chicken breast, it's a must try! With a pleasing mug of mojito ( again a must try). Even though there isn't much options available for noodles, whichever you chose it tastes great.
Now on 2nd visit, again I was welcomed with a complimentary drink, then had their aromatic chicken crispy! Definitely the best chicken crispy I had till now... Then we were offered palate cleanser that was something I had for the very first time in a restaurant and it was a great gesture.
Then had butter chilly garlic noodles (chicken) where you can really feel the buttery taste.

This place serves some serious close to authentic south asian cuisines. Located in Nerul close to Barbeque Nation. Easily visible from Palm beach road. Last night was my second visit to this restaurant. I would recommend this place to whoever enjoys oriental cuisine.

This place is located on the palm beach road opp. to the petrol pump. They have too many panda wall hangings and serves good Asian food so totally justifies it's name. The ambience is quite and staff is very friendly. They'll suggest their speciality dishes which would be worth ordering. If you are thinking of having some kind of cocktail at this Cafe,make sure you try out the old school.It is totally an out of the box mocktail.Inspired by the carts who sell raw mango and guavas with red chilli powder outside schools,this drink is sure to give you that spicy tinge.
It contains guava juice,a pinch of spiciness through red chilli powder,oyster sauce and some secret ingredients.The quantity is amazing though as it is served in a huge mug.The ambience is also excellent with cute panda posters and spotlights.

This place was again quite good and had good asian food. The ambience is quite cozy and relaxed. They also served us a complementary unique dish that was quite different. The vegetarian momos were quite yummy too.
Nice Restaurant with friendly staff and good food. We were a group of ten people and the staff customised the menu for us.We had lekin coriander soup, veg manchurian, thai green curry with jasmine rice. All the food was good. The starters, especially the crispy veg is very tasty

It's frankly, one of the best places for 'somewhat' authentic Asian food in Navi Mumbai. 'Somewhat' because it's not completely authentic but it's not Indianized to a level that it looses its origins completely!
It's my favorite home-delivery place in nerul, probably because it's so close to my place that I always get food piping hot even on home delivery!
I love the khowsuey - though I wish they packets all the toppings separately and not mixed them together in one small box when packing for home delivery!
The free thai curry is kickass... though they don't have jasmine rice available anymore! :(
And the devil's pot chicket and the egg fried rice are killer!!! They even make shezwan egg friend rice (though it's not on the menu) and it's seriously kickass!!
The Baos... the prawn and shiracha one - is spicy as hell! But if you like spicy food, it's a pleasure to have that!
Even the vegetarian baos are kickass... but one bao is a full meal in itself! Frankly, I can't have more than half! So if it's a bao ur going for, make sure you order just that!

Chicken mee goreng- indifferent than usual this noodle preparation is delish, it also has a fiery aftertaste which might be cherished by spicy food lovers.
Something I really like about this place is that they provide complementary dishes to their customers in mean while when their food is yet to arrive, which is not a part of their regular menu.
When our appetisers were yet to come we got to indulge in some sort of shots, I asked twice but couldn't get it's name. It's basically a blob which tastes like buttermilk, something which is rare to be found, it was nice.
Also before our main course arrived we tried their kiwi Candy stick which was complimentary, it had a texture of sorbet with a punch of sweet and sour taste.
Overall it was a very good experience and we had some really good time visiting this place.
Anyone who loves authentic asian cuisine one should visit this place.....great food, live entertainment good n polite staff. Good ambience n one should try volcano.....great taste😋

There are very few Good Asian dining places that you may find in new bombay and Mama Pondo is definitely a suprise element to this list as it really moves away from the Hakka noodles zone. It shows the evolving food scenario in this side of the world.
Mama Pondo is a fine dine restraunt located in the plush locality of Palm Beach road, Nerul. They serve an exquisite range of asain food including dumplings, Baos, Khawusey, pad thai noodles etc.etc..
1) Ambience
The place has a very calm and relaxing interiors, whike being extremely spacious.
2) Drinks -
Contrary to the food, I did not find a great drinks menu. What I had was nice in its way, but not exquisite..

The food was great. They started off the course with a palate cleanser called "Amush bush". This was a small short, infused with lemon grass extract, curd. Etc etc. Loved it.
Since its Asian cooking it is paramount that fresh ingredients are used or it will take the dish to an opposite direction. Good job here 👍👍👍.

Ambience
In any restaurant , apart from food the ambience plays a very important role in enhancing the overall experience of the customer.
Right from the exteriors mama pondo nails it with its very comforting vibe and this extends well into the interiors too. The first glance at the outlet makes it look like an authentic Chinese restaurant which it is!
Now, let us elaborate on what we mean by comfortable vibe,
Lighting - It was a quite pleasant, neither too dim nor too bright which sets the mood right.
Design - The design language of yellow and black is evident in every element of the restaurant, starting from tea coasters, salt and pepper shakers, plates, cloth napkin etc along with the interiors. The outlet itself is very small, but they have managed to make it look spacious with the use of intelligent design decisions for example, there is a small wall that comes down the ceiling that they have used as a projector screen for telecasting sports etc. The tables are placed in such a way that it makes it easier for people to move around effortlessly.
Staff - We felt that they were very informative,courteous, responsive and not too intruding.
They were able to respond to every query we had about the dish.
What stood out in the overall experience was, few complimentary dishes that took us by surprise.
To conclude it all the bill came in a teeny tiny scooter.
As a precaution do carry cash just in case, because sometimes there’s a problem with the card payment.

Really good Chinese food. One would always want to go back there for more. Need to wait to be seated at times, especially in the evenings due to the high demand. But the food is worth the wait. Service is really good and small complimentary dishes are served intermittently such as sorbets between the courses.

This place is absolutely beautiful This place is basically opened for "oriental cuisine" food lovers also they serve best Chinese food too 😍 This restaurant is good in all the departments Food, Service,ambience also staff members are polite and good. And the best part is they welcome you with refreshing shots of mint and panipuri masala flavoured rest everything is hygienic and clean

On a Rainy Cold Noon all I wanted was Sprinkle of Some Love but since I was Stuck in Ofc I decided to order in some comfort food. Just Loved the Chicken Broth Soup and Dimsum. It was Absolute Divine. Apart from Food the Additional Points goes fir its awesome attention to packing love ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

The Soup was nice with coconut base and had some sweet and spicy taste.
The Crispy Corn Chilli pepper was the surprise hit, The corn was crisp mixed with onion and tamato.
The chicken in Crispy Chicken was crisp from the outside and very tender from the inside plus the sauteed sauce tastes amazing.
The Service was pretty fast and the waiter were very attentive.

Mama Pondo is the best option if you are longing to have some lip smacking Chinese. Situated in Nerul, it has a good ambience. They are famous for their dimsums, soups and noodles. They also serve a unique complimentary drink that is cooled using dry ice. Their decor and food together makes them a must-try place. Their food service is decent and their portions are also adequate.

Tip: They have mastered the Hunan sauce, if you are fond of hot and spicy punch in your food then please ask them to customise the food in this style! The aroma of the sauce is simply mouth watering. I did customize an appetizer where I asked them to cook in this sauce instead of Pepper & Garlic and it was mind blowing again like the Prawns appetizers.
Finally now Nerul has an Asian restaurant of its own! The location is easily accessible and the place can be spotted easily with bright Panda branding board. The place is big enough to accommodate around 18-20 people. I loved the spaced out seating arrangement. The interiors are simple and neat with Panda themed coasters, a wall full of cute panda frames, walls painted in white and black furniture. The ambience was indeed peaceful for dining with your loved ones. I love pandas and hence I couldn’t stop admiring the place.
We started off with Bloody Mary and Kiwi Cooler. Both the drinks were brilliantly made. It’s actually one of the places where I would prefer paying for drinks as it did justice to what they are priced for with not only the taste but also presentation.
The first dish that came to our table was The Roasted Chicken Bao. I actually was surprised with the way it was served. Because I it to look like fluffy white balls with stuffing but on the contrary it was served like pita pockets filled with the stuffing. One bite and I was raving about this place already! I personally don’t like chicken much but if it’s served in this way then I can eat it all the day long. It was served along with plum chutney and pickled vegetables. DO NOT MISS IT.
The Prawns appetizer was tossed in Hunan sauce. I must say their Hunan sauce is mind blowing. It had perfect hot and spicy flavours with a pungent aftertaste. I found myself licking the fork clean! DO NOT MISS IT.
The Dark Prawns Hargao Dumplings caught my attention because of its unique ingredients and I thought of giving it a shot. The covering was silky soft which was given a funky black color with the squid ink. It was filled with prawns cooked in some coconut flavoured sauce. It’s definitely worth a try.
For mains we called for Vegetable Fried Rice, Exotic Vegetables cooked in Black Pepper Sauce and Pan Grilled Tofu cooked in Hunan Style. I asked them to customized it and use the Hunan sauce instead of Pepper & Garlic as I dislike the latter. The portions are perfect for a group of 3 with decent appetite. I flushed it all down with a drink named Out of the School which came in a funky looking Tiki glass. It was refreshing blend of guava juice and tobacco sauce.
Their way of presentation is commendable. They know how to please the eyes first and then latter of course with the taste of the food with the use of contrasting cutlery. Also the staffs is very much attentive, extremely polite and open for suggestions which is one more plus point for them.
We ended our meal with the Chocolate Spring Rolls. The covering was perfectly crispy and not oily at all. It was stuffed with dark chocolate sponge, drizzled with chocolate syrup and garnished with grated coconut. It was very dry to consume more than one roll. I actually expected it to have oozing dark chocolate. It’s usually served with ice cream but I wonder it would help avoid the dryness in mouth.

Good ambienec very friendly staff. They took care of our ten months old daughter letting her enjoy our lunch. the food is very tangy and spicy and full of flavours.
It's a lovely eatery for south asian delicacy, a must visit, very courteous service. Wide range of menu, good and authentic taste, reasonable pricing, and generous quantity. Loved the experience.
