Went there late night around 11:15PM on a Wednesday evening. It is located in the Metropolitan hotel near Bangla Sahib.
Ambience was very good.
We ordered -
1. Chilly Potatoes- the stuffed potato wasn’t available so the staff went extra courteous and prepared this for us even after it not being present on the menu. The taste was very nice -4/5
2. Paneer Tikka- it was very tasty, light flavours but you will enjoy it.
3. Dahi Kabab- it was slight modification with a tinge of orange. Nicely prepared.
4. Biryani- it was prepared Turkish style and served in between the bread with raita. Very nicely made.
Service was very nice. Must go places in CP/Delhi.

My 3rd visit and I completely enjoy the twisty pan Indian food served here. My order this time was their signature dish dum ki biryani ,which is an amazing wholesome meal.It comes inside an unusual (edible )roti,served with raita and curry. A must try !
To me this place is almost iconic. Authentic pan Indian cuisine, pleasant ambience and excellent service. For our latest meal here, a few days back, we gave a try to some of their newly introduced items. Malai Santra Kebab was unlike anything that we have had before. This soft, melt-in-your mouth kebab is a must try. Atishi Jhinga and Rogan Gosht Biryani are the few other delicacies we had and both came out bang on top. Highly recommended and got to be back to try some of their golden oldies soon.
One of the highlights is receiving top-notch service from Amarjeet in the Chutney Bar. Amarjeet always greeted our party with a huge smile, advised us of the specials, and took superb care of us after long days in the throngs of Delhi.
Recently visited this place with my group of friends. The server Amarjeet was very helpful, guided and suggested us some of the best delicacies of restaurant. Plan to visit again

I was staying at the metropolitan when I got the chance to eat at Chutney’s. The staff is very friendly. I didn’t have my discount on me at the time and they didn’t create a fuss and said they will come pick it up from my room after dinner. The only problem was that the main courses are only good for 1 person and maximum 2 if you are small eaters. When we got the dal tadka which is a side dish on their menu, it was too less for the 4 of us therefore when we mentioned it to the server. He brought us one additional cup that was on the house. Such thoughtful gestures gives the customer a good experience. Thank you!!

I personally liked the Tandoori Chicken and the Dal Makahni was also nice. The service deserved full marks and just deducting a mark for its expensiveness otherwise, it is a must try one. The staff is good, well spoken and very attentive and ahead the menu, vast selection of everything one can want and over that whatever you order is great.!!

To enjoy pan-Indian restaurant Chutney, dine with friends or family… the more the merrier! My friend and I planned dinner last week and arrived there at 9 p.m. after a hard day's work, famished! Taking the table reserved for us, we perused the menu and appreciated the Chef's variety and diversity; and we thought it best to leave him to place the order. After enquiring about our preferences, he sent out papad with an assortment of chutneys: mint- mango - tomato and bellpepper- mushroom- sweet potato- tamarind- peanut. Wow!! The service was efficient and soon dinner began with 'Ajwaini Jhinga'. The tandoori jumbo prawns marinated in carom, saffron and coriander powder was off-the-hook fresh and flavourful! Trust me I never ask for seconds and here I was salivating for more! Up next, we relished 'Shahi Champien'; the melt-in-the-mouth lamb appetizer was sumptuous.
The chef then brought us his hot-seller entrees. 'Meen Moilee' — Kerala-style fish in coconut curry, flavored with green chilli, curry leaves and turmeric — was served with steamed rice and the delicious seafood might have received more attention had it not been served alongside the sumptuous 'Roghan Josh' — the slow-cooked mutton flavoured with garlic, ginger and aromatic spices, was tender and spiced to perfection. The perfect rendition of a classic Kashmiri dish. You bet we swopped it up to the last bite with the assorted bread! Though we were stuffed, Chef insisted, how could we leave without dessert? I didn't have much room for sweets but the selection was impressive and we settled for 'Paan Kulfi' and 'Gulab Jamun Sandwich'. The stellar team of Chutney wanted things to end on a sweet note… and it sure did!
Reminiscing about the quiet dinner at Chutney, I feel there's a tradition at all the restaurants in Metropolitan Hotel And Spa—ensure diners leave satisfied with a fresh, sumptuous meal and excellent service. Bon Appetite!

Thier Hyderabadi Biryani is cooked in a handi with true hyderabadi style and spices. Highly recommended. Apart from this you can order anything everything we had till date was tasty and thier food smells wonderful specifically the Biryani. Drinks are okay and the ambience is soothing with interesting wall . Service is good .
Order atleast half an hour prior , as good things take time.
The ambience out here is superbly laid out and we especially loved the beautifully decorated Rickshaw at the entrance. The color coordinated cloth on all over the walls were also a treat for the eyes and for the taste, the thali is a must try here which constitutes some really great items that you will keep on recalling for a long time later.

Sometimes it's all about simplicity , precision and Calm. Not a beach - but this Hotel itself; and then This place. I've always taken the stairs straight and headed for the sushi_Always. Too heavy a lunch forced me to avoid binging, aka sushi! So my sister stuck to tandoori (she was "blown away" - I guess US return makes you cherish and realise earthen flavours more.)
My dad opted for their grand special set menu - Lentil soup, the huge platter of kebabs - the fish tikka impressed him beyond and I loved the softened of the aloo rings contains corn and other veggies.
The mains - an Array /a Thali of glass then - all mutton keema, chicken , prawn curry , dal makhani and raita - engulfing vegetable yellow pulao and sides of the perfect Missi roti. And the dessert (phew) - Gilab jamun sandwich (so firmly crisp, rightly sweet and soft within!) & the kulfi - aye perfect! But I don't see how both could compliment each other - I've had and LOved vanilla to Gulab jamuns - just Not kulfi.

Well this place was full of surprise for me. Earlier I have tried their restaurant Sakura which is a fabulous place for Japanese food. So we thought trying Indian this time so we end up coming to Chutney which is a very nice and quite place to have Dinner. We tried their paneer lababdar which was. Dry silky and succulent in taste with thick gravy along with Adraki gobhi which was very nice in pallets over all their dishes were well prepared and more of like home asked gravies which waivers to rich and authentic in taste. They also served the papad along with homemade chutneys and I must tell their mango and tomato chutniese were out of this world. It's a must try for everyone also in bread we ordered kagzi roti it is just like Lacha parantha with rosemary rubbed on it it's good in taste. Lastly we ordered Gulab Jamun sandwich and I must tell this was the one of the bestest Indian desert I ever had it was stuffed gulab jamun with infused rubari and rose water along with Ice cream which makes deadliest combination. I would recommend this if you want to enjoy your dinner in quite atmosphere and also the staff www very courteous and make food according to your taste. A must try for everyone though on bit expensive side but every money spent is worth. All they can do is increase their quantity As it is very insufficient for a family and for cool is fine
What a place!!!! If you are a hardcore non vegetarian then you should definitely visit this place. Everything is so perfectly cooked. I can keep coming to this place for their tandoori & butter chicken.

Great food, personalised and efficient service. That's how I'll describe the experience that I had while dining in this restaurant today. Garlic Naan was yum and so we're the beg dishes. I was told by my friend who had ordered non veg dishes that they were very good too. Not many options for dessert though.

I had been there once, I liked the ambience and staff were polite, food taste was average. Biryani and tandoor item were good.
I have been to Chutney quite a few times with family, and I must say the place is just great. I get that tingle in my tongue even when I have to write a review to it cuz the food is just great.
The hotels very well made and a great place anyways, and as you come into the hotel on the left is this restaurant made in a typical indian way with a rickshaw and all at the entrance.
The staff is good, well spoken and very attentive and ahead the menu, vast selection of everything one can want and over that whatever you order is great.!!
I have had their biryanis chicken and mutton, their kebab platter, mutton roganjosh and a few more dishes and nothing was less than awesome. The desserts are spectacular in its own self at the end of the meal.
The rates are just what a hotel would charge but its worth the money with the portions they serve and the food they produce out of their kitchen.

The restaurant is in the Metropolitan hotel. The ambience is good. The food was excellent. Both the vegetarian and the non vegetarian options were delicious. The staff is very friendly and efficient.
The restaurant CHUTNEY located in The Metropolitan Hotel is a vibe in itself. They serve the authentic pan indian food. The best part is they have more than 20 varieties of chutney. Loved the veg and non veg kabab platter. One thing that amazed me was the KARELA KABAB stuffed with cheese. It was so delectable and literally melting in mouth. Main course was amazing with Dal chutney which was infused with perfect blend of spices. Also i tried the palak mushroom, shahi paneer, chicken chettinad and goan fish curry. Everything was perfect in taste.
Ended my lunch on a sweet note with the amazing Shahi Tukda loaded with rabri and Gulab Jamun Sandwich. I would highly recommend this place if you wanna try some real pan indian food.

What makes the food even more tasty is chutney and when the restaurant is named after our beloved love, we can vow for its taste
So one afternoon we decided to head to Chutney at Metropolitan Hotel which is done very nicely, neatly and aesthetically. It wasn't only warmly lit but also enjoys natural light. The restaurant also has a private dining area for a small get together.
Chutney restaurent has authentic dishes which have a fusion preparation with pan-Indian flavours which are served with a variety of chutneys. We tried the delectable range of chutneys including amla chutney, mint chutney, beetroot chutney, papaya chutney, kiwi chutney, tomato chutney and coconut chutney which were all so yum and colorful. Afterall they are made from rare fruits, vegetables and herbs.
The unparalleled art of bringing fusion food to another level mixing classic taste of Indian cooking and giving it a contemporary twist is amazing. The dishes we tried include Malai Brocolli which was so exotic, Malai Santra Kebab just melted in the mouth leaving us wanting for more, Tandoori Paneer and Chicken Tikka which were both outstanding in taste.
The Shahi Paneer Firdosi and Vegetable Biryani were again yum with great presentation. Both the dishes was nicely done. Paneer Firdosi is an Arabic dish wherein Firdosi means garden and this dish was presented like a garden. Daal chutney and the malabari parantha were also yum. Tasty flavours of India intact and beautifully mingled at chutney was a real treat.
Food was very tasty. Service was excellent. Arun was very accommodating and friendly. Would definitely come back again.
