One of my favorite malayali restaurant in Delhi. Worth every single penny. Delicious food
We visited Malabar Saket for lunch and loved the food. The ambience needs an updgrade however the food makes up for it. Must visit for an authentic meal!
LOVE TO EAT TASTY FOOD HAVE A GREAT TIME TO ORDER FROM HERE.THEY ALL KNOW HOW TO MANAGE & SERVE OR DELIVERY THE BEST FOOD
Food was great! Only complaint is that the appam and chicken stew says it comes with 2 appams in the menu but arrived with 1.
The owner would welcome you warmly and help your through the menu if you’re a newbie like me. Have an open mind and respect for a different culture. I was lucky I had my Mallu girl with me during our Visit whole helped me with the menu too. The servers would explain the tastes and the ingredients before you can order. It’s a must try if you’re venturing Kerala food.
The photograph is just of the carry bag ...I indeed forgot to take the photograph of the food.... I did a takeway from Mahabelly yesterday and it was my first time visiting the restaurant. First of all it was a pleasure interacting with Mr Thomas and the another owner of the restaurant. Now about food..being from a malyali background I truly understand the taste of the Kerala food. I ordered Kappa , Appam and Parotta combo. I thoroughly enjoyed the taste and the food quality . The taste was similiar to what I had when I last visited Kerala.
Looking forward for another visit and especially Onam Sadhya..
Keep it up..😀😀
Awesome food. But stingy on raita, pickle. Also the 400 min order alienates most single people ordering a single meal. Raita amount, compared to quantity of portion is very less. Seems this resturaunt wants to resist adjusting to a delivery format
really nice place to have good food. I was here with my friend...yummy food...
My family enjoyed the food thoroughly. We called for Mahabelly to celebrate my dad's birthday and we thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
I ordered from Mahabelly last weekend, first time post the lockdown and the experience was fantastic. The food was so hygienically packed and was absolutely fresh. The quality was top notch as always and to top it all the owner Zac, sent us complementary Payyasam. Must recommend the egg Appam, mango gravy prawns, fish cutlets. 5 on 5.
Want to eat good and tasty South Indian food go there and grab the experience you love there food want to go every time
A great place popular with the locals. After a 30-minute wait for a table for 6, we were seated. We had a variety of dishes to be shared, including roast mutton, chicken curry, pork curry, fish curry, chickpeas curry - a tad spicy but goes nicely with rice and freshly-made apom. Good service considering how busy it was during dinner time, reservations should be made as the place was teeming with diners on Saturday evening.
There are few places in Delhi that serve authentic cuisine from Kerala, this place is one of them. The roast was beautiful, cooked with care, time and all the ingredients you'd put if you were in Kerala. The parotta was flaky and satisfying and went very well with the parotta, as it should. Definitely the go to place to get authentic parotta and potha roast.

Just loved this place. One of few places in Delhi-NCR where you can find good kerala food. The staff is friendly and courteous. Food is delicious, cozy ambience. A must try!
Love them! I order and visit this place often, and it's always consistently delicious. Have had a few times where the order gets slightly mixed up- like one time I ordered prawn crackers and got papad instead- minor stuff like that, but that doesn't change my rating at all. Absolutely love it. My most ordered item is the biriyani by far.
One of the best places in Delhi. The appams are melt in the mouth. The prawn mango curry is delicious with a tangy flavour.
Ordered chicken and prawn biryani when they had BOGO. I ordered from them having mediocre expectations. You can't find authentic south Indian biryani everywhere. But my my was my mind blown with the biryanis.
Loved the packaging, would've loved it more if they had used a paper/cloth bag to send it.
Quantity of prawn and chicken was enough.
Rice was fragrant and spicy.
There's nothing i didn't like about my order.
I will definitely order from them again.
Visited the place few days ago the food was quite good if u love to eat South cusine food there are vairities of option in there menu but will only recommend those person who loves to eat sothern Kerala cusine food.... Have tried mutton curry egg uttapam Malabar partha.... And at the end filter coffee... Loved the place.... Staff was also quite good
Pleasant vibe which causes you to unwind. Snappy assistance. Stunning nourishment and great assortment. Vegetable stew is pleasant. On the off chance that you love fish, attempt Prawn Mango curry with Malabar Parantha.
A Lunch at Mahabelly Had gone there with Mallu Bro-in-law, sister, nephew and my wife. Starters were mindblowing ... Pork, Prawns and Sea fish .... ahaa Thereafter Appam, Mutton Stew and Prawn Mango Curry .... Just Amazing !!! Hats off to you guys .... will come again and again !!!
A chicken curry, creamy coconut-based fish curry and chicken 65 to die for. Mahabelly is one of the nicer places that serves lip-smacking coastal food. Soft Malabari paranthas and amazing appams that went really well with our boneless chicken curry sauteed with onions, herb, and spices - Varatiyathu. The Alleppey Fish curry was even better than the chicken one. Been a while since we have visited the place. We would definitely go there again to try some more out from their menu.Â

The food was so good that we stuffed more than we could. Whether it was their kothu porotta or kadla curry. Everything was so well made. And the service was quick and the food was fresh. No complaints whatsoever.
Awesome place to be with your family if you want to enjoy a hearty meal. Great staff. A must visit place in town.
Erachi biryani, Erachi curry, Appam, Sharja shake, Chicken 65, pappadam.
I love authentic keral food since my trip to kerala and i found out about mahabelly from Facebook.
Erachi is nothing but tenderloin.
Erachi biryani was amazing i fell in love with kerala food in wayanad and trust me this taste almost as good as that biryani.
Erachi curry is tenderloin in thick gravy again it's really amazing.
Appam, Malabar Parrotta, pappadam is must with all the dishes.
Although i have heard so much about Sharja shake i didn't like it very much it have so many ingredients but it tastes almost like our regular banana shake.
Mallu friends, this is THE place to go to recover from your homesickness. Also, the ONLY Mallu restaurant in Delhi you ought to take your non-Mallu friends to pop their Malabar cuisine cherry.Â
The setting lends itself to a beautiful cultural analysis of God's own country, with Mallu characters of stereotypical names, tastes and appearances vibrantly caricatured on the walls.Â
As for the food, what's not to love!!Â
The must-order ones in no particular order:
For Herbivores:
Go for aappam- veg stew blindfolded. I promise you, it will be a meal your tastebuds will cherish forever (Unless you are allergic to coconut, cuz it's prepared with coconut milk).
For Carnivores:
1) Erachi roast (if you are a member of the Beef Janata Party);
2) Shaapu meen curry (A spicy fish curry, signature dish of toddy/liquor shops aka 'shaaap' back in Kerala)
3) Prawn mango curry (Not spicy, but very rich and creamy. Just.wow.)
4) Team any of the above with appam.
Suggested by a friend went their to try sea food
N well well as they say friends are the best ppl to fall back on n it cane true as this place turned out to be sumptuous in terms of food n cosy terms of sitting. Good cocktails n to die for filter coffee adds to the overall experience. Something really new was rave idli , crisp to eat .Fish cutlets n chicken roast just made my day and added this place as a must visit suggest to others for me. Keep it gng guys :)
I saw a lot of their pics on Insta and that's why I wanted to try their famous chicken roast and lachha paranthas. The taste was fantastic.
Chicken was spicy and with so many flavours. It was such a burst of taste.
Had some really good Kerala food after a long time. We ordered
1. Chicken 65- I expected a little more authenticity but nevertheless it had the flavour of good south indian spices.
2. Fish Polichattu- This dish was an absolute delight. Paired with Malabar Parotha and Appam, this tasted so good.
Definitely coming back to this place to try more things on the menu.
What perfect nourishment. It is one of the best in Delhi NCR. Curry chicken is really the best thing. Every dish we asked for was just yummy. The dishes of the lover of lamb, fish and veggie were all well made and authentic. Amazine food and place.
This place came highly recommended from my jiju and i was not disappointed. The food is very authentic. The portion size is very good. The staff is very courteous. Whether you order or dine in, experience will be amazing. 10/10 would recommend.
This gives Swagath a good run for its money!!!. Home delivered several times via Zomato. The biryani was good on all occasions. They have several dry and roast (thick gravy) dishes in mutton pork and beef that you wouldn't normally get in other restaurants. Unique and good.
A good place with equally fine food !!
A paradise for Malayalis away from Kerala it is. Ambience is very sober and understandable as the entire feel of Kerala is in its simplicity. The Music of the place is spot on with the ambience.Â
The food, great !. Very Hospitable staff especially Mr. Jacob.Â
All to all, well done Mahabelly, after a long time tasting such an amazing food. Especially Mallu food in Delhi.
Excellent food... great place...loved the seafood completely...veg curries are also fantastic...I suggest this place to all coastal food lovers!!
Finally a Kerala restaurant that comes close enough to being authentic. Ambiance is average, clean and well lit. They run lunch specials which are quite economical and well prepared.
Mutton roast was a hit, with the first bite we were transported to Kerala and I was savouring every bit of it. Parotas were sooooo well made, fluffy soft and just right. Courteous staff and attentive service overall.
The place didn't blow my mind but it was good enough leave a pleasing after effect.
Really want to go back and try Prawn Pollichatu and appam.
Erachy curry is made by beef or pork?
Mahabelly gives you legal sustenance from Kerala, South Indian kerala. They have some fish expertise and I would prescribe you exceptionally to try with appam or conventional kerala malabar parotta the fish / prawns. Their beverages also are made around the south indian subject and incorporate extremely intriguing components that enables you to attempt mixes you may neve
If an amazing South Indian meal is what you are looking for, this is the place. As soon as you enter, you get a very South Indian vibe that is complimented by really good South Indian slang, culture paintings and art works. The music played is also south influenced. Eventhough the menu is not so varied, it covers majority of the famous dishes from the south. The staff were helpful and the service was good too. Extremely recommended!
Absolutely marvelous and genuine food; well cooked and served!
I am not used to review and give very high rating except to the very best!
Good food. Totally worth a visit. For the nezt visit I'm going in for Biryani 🤤
Had raw mango curry with Malabar parotta. It was very delicious with gravy cooked in coconut milk. Giving 4 star only because service not too good. Appetiser came after main course !!!!. Also had coconut ice cream it was average. Nothing great. but seemed expensive for 200 bucks
You can enjoy a variety of delicious keralite food. Mahabelly is a mini keralite foodland. The ambience of the food is typical keralite style. Staff is very cordial and frie dky. Their rolls and potato roast are delicious.. Quality of food is good and tasty
My friend and I walked in without any reservations at noon for some Onam Sadhya and were delighted to be accomodated as soon as we walked in. It wasn't crowded when we entered but by the time we were done, the restaurant was packed.
The food was a delectable spread of more than twenty delicacies served with warmth by the staff who were on their toes catering to an almost full house.
They were also sweet enough to pack the Sadhya upon request.
For all the seafood n fish lovers...this place is an absolute delight.. I had ordered mango prawn curry, chicken varathattu.... along with appam and Malabar parantha. But would suggest go for rice with prawn curry...for dessert ordered caramel Custard. Would love to go back again n try the other dishes of fish
I'm so happy I visited Mahabelly in Delhi thanks to a purely last-minute recommendation by a friend. I enjoyed the food so much that I still crave it here in Goa.
The Pork Fry was divine! Robust flavours, sticky-fatty, with delish browned coconut shavings - a wonderful start to the meal. The Allepey Fish Curry is a must order! Seriously, don't leave without trying this luscious coconut based curry with the flakiest fish! It is finger licking good! The Moplah Chicken Biryani was wonderful too, but I'd still pick the fish curry over the biryani! Lastly the egg appams were fabulous, who can resist a good egg appam!
Great food. Value for money. One must try the Raw Mango Prawn curry. It was absolutely delicious. I’m sure I’m going to come back very soon.
Loved the ambience and food is really delicious and definitely worth the price. The customer service is excellent and overall I loved it. Will visit again soon.
Must visit for each individual who wishes to taste the kinds of Kerala, sitting right in the core of Delhi. We requested parottas, sheep biryani and chicken curry. The parottas soften in the mouth and went splendidly with the chicken curry. An absolute necessity attempt from their alternatives. The curry is my untouched most loved , the run of the mill curry leaves and coconuty sauce. Reviving and grand.
One of the best South Indian restaurants in Delhi, especially for non vegetarian! Tried their prawns starters, Chicken Chettinad, Mutton, Appam, Malabar! Loved everything about it. Also, great cocktails which blend perfectly with the cuisine!
One of best place to have malyali cuisine I usually don't review places but I am forced to do so because of the food, ambience, and courteous staff. From fish to chicken or ginger wafer everything was amazing. Must visit for someone who wants to relish malyali food.
Been there with my friends!! The food is not only is tasty but the restaurant fulfills the authenticity of the cuisine as well!!
Staff is very polite and recommended the best they could!!
100% recommended for families with children, chit chat with friends or even a date!!
Do try their prawn fry!! Personal recommendation!
Jaideep and Sudeep were amazing at the service. Very attentive.
Food is amazing to say the least. The first morsel of the roast pork and prawn mango curry brought tears of pure unadulterated joy to my eyes. Explosion of flavours! The double erachi fry was impressive.
Totally worth..
Visited for lunch and found each and every dish I loved wheather it's North Indian or south Indian with good taste also they served liquor.. so for each time of taste you will found there..
Highly recommended place for couple, families & also for alone...
10 out of 10 for food😀😀
Visited this place on a weekday for dinner, ordered a fish fry, chicken 65, kanyakumari cocktail
Fish fry was really good, actually I order this dish everytime I visit this place, but this particular time it wasn't that great
Chicken 65 was good,
The quantity and taste was good, it was worth the price,
Cocktail was nicely served and was really good,
It a must visit!!
Firstly, they do not serve dosa/idli on the weekend which was strange. But as for the food - it was sumptuous, we ordered buff curry and potato roast with paratha and it was a delight. Clean and good ambience.
Although not too many veg options, consider that if you're planning a visit.
This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool but the staff is also really friendly. Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in delhi Mahabelly Kerala restaurant The service is good The staff truly cares I recommend to everyone! I would like to come back here again and again.
A place where you can cherish authentic Kerala South Indian Food.Tried Kerala porotta with Chicken Curry and it tasted homely and genuinley prepared. The service is fast and the ambience is also good.
This place is a treat for non vegetarians and those who would want to experience variety of South Indian food especially from Kerala and Tamil Nadu. They serve within 10-15 mins. Attitude is good. If you're visiting weekend it might be Crowded. Better to take a prior table booking to avoid waiting. Must try are Kizhi Parotta, Squid Fry, Idiyappam, Puttu and Aapam.
One of the best restaurants ever visited in India, where the Onam an Christmas specials are just worth your time, money and energy. Giving My One-Liner statement:
Think Kerala For Your BELLY,
Make It Happen With MAHABELLY!
We loved every single dishes. They are amazing people and friendliest service.
Every dish has its own very authentic taste.
We are bringing this memory with us from this India trip and will see you guys again when ever we will be back.
Amazing Kerala food. I totally gorged on the food. The taste was authentic and portions are good. Service was quick and courteous. This place is a must go on my list now.
Awesome brunch. Chethu chicken fry was very good. And the Malabar fish curry was worth every penny spent and also the special chicken dum biryani. Lastly delicious and scrumptious desert.
