Quite a fancy place to dine in, pretty setup and amazing service. Didn't find the food that great in taste. The dumplings were not proper. The pan fried noodles tasted blank.
As expected from a place like this the dining experience has been excellent. Food was great and the servers have been attentive and prompt. Fried wonton was the highlight besides the peking duck.
It's a nice place to go with family and friends. Ambience is beautiful and decor is awesome. Service is excellent and staff is very courteous and friendly. Hospitality is warm. Atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. Food is very delicious. Their prices are high, but considering the taste and quality of food, it is ok to pay that price.
Spicy Duck @ Taj with their signature menu of the tea house of the August moon.
Talking about the food
The star dishes of the evening were the Wok Fried shimeji mushroom in dry chili and green bean and the Peking Duck along with the stir fried shredded Duck in black bean sauce.
Apart from that we had the stir fried prawn with superior spicy sauce which was ok if you want my opinion, wok fried okra in hot bean sauce was very well made and the shanghai shredded chicken was just another oriental dish well made but nothing outstanding.
Had a great time and a kulfi from masala art to end the evening.
Most atrocious dining experience in Delhi. We were not served napkins for 20 minutes after the starters were on the table, that too after asking for them 5 times. There was not a drop of water served or asked for during the entire meal. We asked for wine before ordering the main course and were not served for the entire night after asking them for it multiple times. The entire restaurant had only two servers, no waiters, no manager and no staff. After complaining all we got was an extra charge of beer and a random apology with a grin from the manager. Please donāt operate if you canāt serve.
Lovely ambience, trule a feel of the fabled Orient. The vegetablw dumplings and aoup where.excellent ,the prawn curry and pan fried noodles also.Staff is very courteous and polite and specil thanks to Brijesh
Ambience: 5/5, it's awesome.
Taste: 3/5, isn't bad, but not great.
Service: 5/5, it's superb, the staff is humble and courteous.
Hygiene: 5/5, it's excellent.
Well exactly like my imagination.... It was for a surprise birthday and they made it as committed with a cake and flowers... Well truly they are responsible luxury... Again a great Tajness... will visit again to try the nonveg as we could not. Keep it up team...
Awesome ambiance, very chic decor, this place immediately made me feel like a queen and uplifted my mood instantly. The staff is very courteous and helpful. Now coming to the food, I can only say that this is one of the best asian restaurants in Delhi, mouth watering food with good servings compared to any other high end place where though the food tastes great but the servings are scanty. Definitely recommended.

This place had been on my agenda for quite some time. Finally this Sunday managed to tick it off the list.
We ordered the following items:
Stir fried prawns in superior spicy sauce
Peking duck
Yunan chicken
Prawn in preserved chilli garlic
Stir fried chicken in Szechuan chilli
Noodles
Rice
The food was excellent, highlight being the Peking duck rolls. Definitely a place to go back to.
First of all, i love the ambience of this place. Staff is so mannered and responsible. Service is really fast. What to say about food. This is just so delicious n authentic. Loved the way the staff serves you.
as caption suggests it all, Probably one of the best Peking Duck I had in my life, excellent service and beautifull place, we went there a few time and everything was perfect.
Chocolate Indulgence from Spicy Duck.
The REAL deal of this place is this dessert.
Price is high, but totally worth single penny.
One dessert can easily fill stomach of two at a time.
You, of course can hear the picture speaking a ton of words.
Incredible Chinese food! Definitely among the best in Delhi. The signature cocktails are a must try. The duck preparation lives up to expectations. Lovely ambience. Staff courtesy is signature Taj like; up there with the best in the business! Expensive, certainly, but a good experience nonetheless.
Its a great place for special occasions.. its known for its duck and duck in claypot is a must try..crispy noodles with bamboo shoots nd black mushrooms was perfect.. crispy with the right crunch nd easy to eat, which otherwise can turn out to b messy at times.. attentive nd helpful staff .. they smilingly accommodated my request for mildly spicy food.. a wonderful experience..
Very few fine dining restaurants in todayās date offer, both, a luxurious experience and a quality meal. Without doubt, Spicy Duck delivered beyond my expectations and I had a wonderful memorable time.
The interior is grand and majestic. The staff is very well spoken and helpful. The only thing that I think lacked, was the lack of knowledge of the staff about what their menu offers.
We went as per the recommendations by the manager and we ordered -
ā¢ Ying and Yang Har Gao - Har Gao is a traditional Cantonese shrimp dimsum. With the bright pink chunks of fresh shrimps veiled through a delicate and translucent wrapper; this one is a must try.
ā¢ Steamed Edamame Dumplings in Truffle Oil - A lovely rich preparation. Light on the palate and packed with flavour.
ā¢ Mushroom and Water Chestnut Spring Rolls - Paper crisp spring rolls with a mind blowing filling. It just melted away in the mouth.
ā¢ āYunan styleā marinated shredded Chicken with fresh coriander, onion, bird eye chilli and lemon juice - So fresh, so light, so tender; perfect end to the round of appetisers with a refreshing thai chilli twist to the palate!
ā¢ Peking Duck - This dish is characterised by thin, crisp duck skin, sliced duck and is eaten with spring onion, cucumber and hoisin sauce with chinese pancakes rolled around the fillings.
The sweet smoky hoisin sauce and the crisp duck skin was the highlight but the dish as a whole, is an experience in itself! Must try.
ā¢ Stir Fried Chicken with Mushroom and Bamboo Shoot in Szechuan Chilli Paste with Veg Noodles -
ā¢ Pomelo Mango Sago with Vanilla Ice-Cream - I have never sipped on a dessert, and to my surprise I enjoyed it a lot. My only complaint was with the Pomelo. I like bitter taste in food but the bitterness of the pomelo used, undoubtedly overpowered the taste of the overall dessert.
ā¢ Sweet Chilli Chocolate Mousse in a Brittle Basket - I couldnāt imagine the taste of chilli in a chocolate mousse, until I tried it. By chilli, I donāt mean spicy, I mean the hot flavour. Served on a bed on crushed macaroons, this dessert just blew me away. So decadent that I kept āyummy-ingā away at every bite!! Must try for sure..
We ended our meal with an aromatic jasmine tea.
A big shoutout to the variety of side sauces served with the meal. Each with a different texture and spice level; the sauces were delicious and added to the taste!
All-in-all, a top notch experience! I would surely recommend Spicy Duck and I would definitely be back for more. Keep it up!!

Spicy Duck had been on my radar for a while and I finally got the opportunity to try out this restaurant this afternoon. After my lovely experiences at āHouse of Mingsā (Taj Mansingh), I was expecting nothing but the best. And Spicy duck did not disappoint !!
We started with the ying yang hargao, steamed edamame dumplings in truffle oil and assorted veg and water chestnut spring rolls. All the three preparations were top notch and perfectly balanced - Kudos to the chef !! The sauces that accompanied had the capability to induce a whole range of flavours in the dimsums and rolls depending on a personās spice tolerance levels. Really enjoyed em !! This was followed by a āYunan styleā marinated shredded chicken with fresh coriander, bird eye chilli and lemon juice. As fresh as I can get, the salad gave my palette a āthaiā twist and revved up my appetite even more. Actually an ideal situation as we had requested for half a portion of the signature āPeking duckā next. Me and my friend were totally floored by the preparation. Just exquisite !! The duck was thinly sliced and served with hoisin sauce, fresh cocumber, spring onions and very thin pancakes. We had multiple rolls of the duck and I modified the āspiceā quotient with the generous use of the chilli seed sauce. One of the main ingredients of āHoisin sauceā is maple syrup which makes it slightly sweet. It goes really well with the duck !! But you guys know me #spiceitupwithsam - Had to raise the heat !!š Hit the spot !! As we had already indulged so much, we just requested for a portion of stir fried chicken with bamboo shoots and mushrooms in Szechuan chilli paste with some noodles to culminate the main course. Again, such a brilliant preparation !! The chicken and mushrooms complemented each other fantastically well and the chilli paste ensured the dish really tantalised my taste buds. Da yumm !! Was literally knockin on heavenās door !! To wrap up the meal we requested for a portion of āSweet chilli chocolate mousse in brittle basketā and āPomelo mango sago with vanilaā with a pot of āJasmine teaā. Loved em all !! The mousse was innovative and at the same time gooey and wholesome. The latter was deadly combo of mango and pomelo, the flavours of which are generally very difficult to balance but they got it spot on !! The only piece of feedback is around the pomelo chunks which were too bitter !! I am sure there is a way of ensuring that the fruit used in the dessert preparation is of a certain taste profile.
Overall, We had a fab afternoon !! The staff and service were fantastic and I had a great time. The Peking duck stole my heart and I know that I shall definitely be back for more !! And till that time, I shall be tom tomming about āSpicy Duckā in my circle of influence. Do try it out if you have not visited as yet. I promise you that you would love it !! - Harsheen Kaur

A good addition to the Taj group. One of the better Chinese places in town now I guess. Good preparations and Good service. If ones fond of cocktails then the specialities are worth a try.
Quite a good place for a small family gathering, lunch or dinner, food served here is fresh and tasty but heavy on the stomach, this place serves Chinese as the name suggests, I tried the pork here and it was decent, also the ginger chocolate fondue looked amazing but was okish in taste, do not try the rainbow cake here as it was really bad, overall it was a decent experience but not up to the mark when it comes to value for money.
Food - to die for! Everything on the menu was excellent! Being a vegetarian - the server ensured i tasted their best dishes.
Also kept getting me small portions of trail dishes to pick what Iād like to eat for mains
Others- had a gala time eating their specialty ducks :)
Ambiance- absolutely charming! Hands down
Place is a Definite try!
Confucianism in China instills the concept of male superiority and dominance over women. Though they believe in the unity of families, contrarily keep their most precious possession uneducated and subservient Like a product on display binded by the foot for centuries. Ironically the principals of their society were completely omitted when it came to food. For the longest time, a duck was used to signify freedom, happiness, wealth and fidelity . Chinese civilisation has established its own unique dining culture and etiquettes. Because of their extensive need for gastronomy based on traditional medical beliefs, they eat anything that flies, crawls and walks on fours. Modern "Eight Cuisines" of China are Anhui, Cantonese, Fujian, Hunan, Jiangsu, Shandong, Sichuan, and Zhejiang cuisines.
Taj diplomatic Enclave, strives to retain the authenticity of this luxurious cuisine capturing contemporary vibrancy.
Nibbling on the warm, indefectible bite size succulent chicken pokchoi dumpling with superior sauce and chilli oil, i was eagerly anticipating for Chef Leongās stir fried prawns with superior spicy sauce. Brittle exterior with soft meat accompanied along some fresh spring onions, garlic and chilliās.
As ducks are considered a delicacy for auspicious occasions, its a must at any chinese fine diner. The thinly sliced pecking duck served with hoisen sauce and fresh cucumbers is a luxury enjoyed by the elites.
Washing down the flavours off my palate with some hot chamomile tea, we requested for our mains.
Rice being one of the staples, it made way to my table in the name of jasmine sticky fried rice. Wok tossed chicken in black bean sauce wasnāt significantly different from the usual but the clay plot fresh water prawns in chinese wine lined with egg was a blast of textures and mild flavours.
Going all the way in exquisiteness with some dessert helps ending an impeccable night on a high note, Sticky date cake with five spice caramel. Dense with loaded dates and sucre was cut through with the sourness of red currents.
Spicy duck reflects the tradition of Taishan and Chengdu sub-regions that has to be tried to experience the culture.
Stayed at Taj Hotel for one night and "Spicy Duck" was the ebst part of that stay. To taste Chinese food in India wouldn't be preferable but if you stayed in India enough and filled with Indian food that is a good option to have Chinese in Spicy Duck. The duck was premium, serving was exclusive and variety of menu is incredible. I strongly recommend.
This restaurant was erstwhile Blue Ginger. When I entered this restaurant with my brother and my best friend, I started doing a mental check of events of my last experience at Blue Ginger. Though we ordered few snacks and Peking Duck and that even full. We requested the staff,we would the whole duck to be served to us. The staff after checking with the Chef ,confirm they can serve the full duck (without cutting in kitchen) to us. We had our snacks but to be honest we all were waiting for our Duck. Itās not that we havenāt had duck earlier but getting the full duck on your table was a different feeling all together. The wait was finally over, the duck came and Chef also accompanied the duck, the Chef cut initial few pieces and made roll for us,we requested the staff we would help ourselves. I would like to give special shout to the staff which drowned us in their hospitality and Chef who took our such weird demand and made it a memorable moment for us. I would definitely like to visit Spicy Duck again and recommend their Peking Duck to everyone
Went here to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food was fantastic and more importantly the people who served knew the menu and could suggest appropriately.
Noteworthy mention - Kapil. He suggested and served food we'll want to go back for.
Don't miss the mushroom spring rolls if you are here.
Awesome....food and hospitality....
Peking Duck is must have...
And to all who would visit Mr Sunil welcomes with open heart and you can blindly go with his recommendations...
We were here for saturday dinner and had a wonderful time .From starter to dessert everything was so delicious that we end up eating too much.Well the most liked was the peking duck rolls, insane.we loved it and also the salad with mushroom was also very healthy option .Well we will be going soon there.Service was fantastic and staff so well trained.
After attending the IFDI went for dinner with couple of friends as we were craving for Chinese.
Firstly their service is a bit too slow. It's tough to call out the server at your table. The restaurant wasn't even so full that it took them ages to respond to tables.
The order for the night was vegetarian salt and pepper (3.5/5) along with Veg spring rolls (4/5) and chilli garlic noodles (4/5).
Food-4/5
Service-2/5
Ambience-5/5
Amazing food.. amazing staff.. after all its Taj. They have maintained the Chinese food reputation everywhere. They didnt disappoint. Everything we ordered was perfect from Dim Sims to fried rice and chilly fish.
Fabulous experience. We had gone to celebrate my Mom's birthday and had a great time. The place has a very zen like vibe with all oriental music, colours and paintings. The selection on the menu is fantastic(especially veg). So we had the schezwan chicken soup and vegetable sweet corn soup which were good. For appetisers we had the vegetable dao su, crispy chicken and duck spring rolls with hoisin sauce. Loved the dao su and the crunchy soya granules. For the mains we landed up having the crispy noodles with Chinese vegetables. Since it was Birthday celebration, we got a yummy pineapple cake and also tiny in-house gifts.
All in all great service, great food and ofcourse Taj standards never let me down. Surprised that not at a lot of people come here. Will be back soon for another round.
Good and decent place to have the Chinese food, service is nice/ food is great . nothing other than a home. Private dining area adds an additional must visit reason. Duck rolls are awesome. In short very nice / authentic. Value for money

Excellent food incredible signature Chinese cocktails and fab service. Try a Qing ceremony cocktail an amazing cocktail with Hendrix gin and pickled salted plum and also try a crouching tiger hidden rose
Had a great experience. I loved Shemji mushroom, it tasted really good. And for dessert we had Seasonal fruit dish named pomelo Mango Sago and it tasted really good. Ambiance was really nice. I'll visit again.
nice experience with my favourite hotel after a long time and i always feel something new during my every single visit.
a place where you can enjoy everything from food, service ambiance and the warmth hospitality.
will come back soon.
Food 5/5

So spicy duck is a real classy, fine dining place and I was there with my office colleagues after a really long day of meetings.
We had some Chinese expats with us and we needed to make sure we took them to a really good place for food.
Let me also tell you that the Chinese are very particular about their food and they definitely have an appetite.
So we ordered some good wines with recomendation from the captain to go with our food.
We ordered the pork and chicken stuffed buns from the dim sum list and they were incredibly soft and sweet and savoury(this was the best dish and i gorged on them). We ordered some wok fried duck and chicken and pork in black bean sauce, wok tossed asparagus with garlic, stir fried assorted greens ,kung po chicken in deserts we had the lemon grass creme brullee .. The food was really good and the next time am in delhi i will definitely go back again for the sweet buns.
Recomendation - if u like pork go for the pork stuffed steamed buns , if not definitely go for the chicken ones they are amazing.
We easily got a table at lunch time and were greeted by very friendly and attentive staff. As we were a large group we asked them to make a selection off the menu for us, making sure to include vegetarian options as necessary. The food was all delicious
On the fence on this one. Ā The service was pretty well executed, the ambiance is nice especially since it opens up to le blue bar. Ā Moving on to the food.....don't get me wrong, it was good but with so many options now in Delhi did it stand out? Ā I know they focus on two specific regions interms of their cuisine but still I did not find the dished I ordered that all so unique. Ā All in all it was a good experience but I was not blown away.
One of the best Chinese restaurant in town
Really liked the Crispy Lamb, pan Fried Dimsums and duck Rolls topped up with perfect service and class ambience
Had a buffet meal last weekend and somehow apart from great ambience nothing really was striking.
The fish fry tasted good. Pasta was fine . Apart from that nothing tasted excellent.
Excellent the service the quality and taste are outstanding worth visiting the duck preparation is excellent the veg food is worth vfm will visit again
Awesome family dinner, amazing food and superb service with best recommendations.Pork bun, mushroom milk roll, Peking duck Ā and steamed pork belly (exceptional).
A cosy , comfy restraunt in a five star hotel. Very courteous staff, efficient service , I mean they change your cutlery without even asking after every order. Very good food at "reasonable price. ". ( compared to other five stars ). What else can you ask for??
Perfect jasmine tea with unlimited refill. š
I went to spicy duck with family on my son's birthday, we are china kitchen die hard fan but since it was a new launch we wanted to give a try. Surely the place is almost same as blue ginger except the color scheme.
The food is good and service is swift. The star dish on the menu is the Duck which is offered in two courses .. Outstanding. I would rate it as the best duck in delhi.
Rahul is the manager there and he treats you like a king and one doesn't expect that much care in a five star restaurant as they are not that focussed on each guest. This guy was great. All in all I have booked another Bday celebration there and my next review will be with each dish I eat.
We went for lunch and was pretty satisfied with the service the chef was kind enough to come to our table and understand our taste and specific requirements ,food was good and i love the ambience as well a thumbs up š
Well it's exactly the same interiors as Blue Ginger, so waiting anxiously for food, why would Hemant Oberoi do such hastily done job and a name so close to Fat Duck, here we go, so the milk and mushroom spring rolls are the best break from the normal spring rolls just awesome and as noted by my fellow diner don't have a dirty after taste of oil, the squid ink prawn dim sum is like melange of subtle tastes not trying too hard to get your attention but you know their worth, the truffle edamame is far better at Yautcha. Holy cow the duck is just awesome, I can't explain it but don't wanna have duck anywhere else now, except china kitchen, the duck in black bean sauce ladies and gentlemen beckons you to come just to eat it, it's so good it could replace butter chicken, well not butter chicken but you get the idea, my god the good food is not stopping the lobster in chilli sauce is just out of control, Delhi finally we have a Chinese that belts out classics after classics, kudos to the chef and the ever courteous service staff. Thank you ChƩf Oberoi for adding another feather to your cap and a few extra pounds on me, aarrgggg the angry eyes of my nutritionist are burning my soul.
Spicy Duck opened on the 10th of September to replace Blue Ginger at the Taj Palace, Delhi - unfortunately the mediocrity remains.
The menu isn't very inspired and has most of the staple dishes found in a Five star Ā fine dining Chinese restaurant.Ā
We started with the Wok tossed Shemiji Mushrooms - lovely juicy mushrooms tossed in a light garlic gravy and whole red chillies - nicely done!Ā
We also sampled Edamame Dimsums - and the Duck dimsums - unfortunately the duck dimsums where too "doughy" and had to be replaced with the Ying Yang Hargao .Ā
For mains we ordered some Dan Dan noodles, with some fried tofu in a chilli bean paste and Deng long chilli - The noodles were basic Udon noodles - in a miso broth - not what I was expecting. The Dan Dan noodles at China kitchen - Hyatt - really are to die for, these failed in comparison. Ā The Tofu however was outstanding and was the real star of the evening - we ordered a bowl of steamed rice to go with it as the noodles weren't really cutting it.Ā
I ordered an interesting cocktail - Called the Qing Dynasty - an interesting mix of Hendricks jin and frozen plums !Ā
Overall an average experience - Won't be going back in a hurry.
This fabulously modern restaurant serves excellent Cantonese food in this part of the world. From modern dim sum with excellent chilli oil to Peking duck pancakes and full Cantonese menu, this is excellent.
Good wine list and desserts and the setting in the Taj Palace Delhi is stunning.
Loved the Ambience and the Service.
With food, Dim Sums could have been a little better. Loved the dessert though.
Our Server was really friendly and we had a memorable celebration.
Looking forward to next time š
Spicy Duck is Located at Taj Palace, New Delhi. I was staying at Taj and decided to have lunch here and Iām glad I did. It was one of a kind experience.
The ambience is just beautiful and the food here is absolutely Authentic Chinese cuisine. Totally enjoyed sichuan cuisine. The staff is really polite and courteous.
We had veg wok tossed fried rice, veg spicy sichuan noodles and vegetables in black bean sauce. All of these were delicious. My favourite was spicy noodles, it had a nice flavour of sichuan pepper and smoke to it.
The table was set beautifully and they had great quality of chopsticks as well. We all were served individual kimchi side dish.
I would highly recommend this restaurant šÆ

Truly unforgettable Anniversary date at Spicy Duck, Taj Palace Hotel New Delhi, offering authentic Chinese with a modern twist.
Treated ourselves to luscious Cantonese & Sichuan flavours served with the magic of Tajness.
An extraordinary amalgamation of Contemporary vibrance, Minimalistic Elegant interiors, Cozy ambience, Authentic Balanced flavours & Warm affectionate hospitality.
The name Spicy Duck gains it's inspiration from the Duck that signifies freedom, happiness and fidelity in China.
The food is all about home-infused oils, aromatic spices and a deviation from an overuse of condiments.
We kick started our meal with an assortment of dimsums.
Veg- Edamame dimsums, Shanghai dumpling
Non Veg- Pan fried chicken Guo-Tie, Chicken Pakchoi
Absolutely divine and come in the thinnest of coverings which are bound to leave you astounded.
All with perfectly cooked meat and veggies in elaborate and delicious sauces with a hint of spice giving it that kick.
Donāt forget to sample the duck delicacies when you land up here. We tried the Peking Duck roll and Mock Duck roll (Since my husband is a vegetarian) and they were insanely good.
Relished the Crispy Honey lotus stem, mushroom spring roll & Chicken Tai Chin too.
The staff was super helpful in helping us pick the right dishes according to our palate.
Whatās even better than delectable food?
Some pours to match our meal!
We tried 4 cocktails
Consensual (Vodka based), Smoked Sandalwood Old fashioned (Whiskey based), Berries & Rose aperol spritz (Vodka based) and Aegeon Fantasy (Gin based)
And yes! Their Signatures surely hit all the right notes.
Their food is a delicious combination of taste and essence. For mains their Shanghai shredded chicken, Vegetable in hot garlic sauce, Ma po Tofu in chilli bean paste with Pan fried chicken noodles and Veg fried rice were definitely a treat for our tastebuds!
The perfect conclusion to our delicious meal were the desserts. Must try the Crispy date pancakes with icecream and Sweet chilli chocolate mousse in brittle basket. The creations will blow you away.
Spicy Duck is a real treat to all the senses!
The hotel's location was perfect for my needs. It was centrally located, making it easy to access nearby attractions, restaurants, and transportation options. Whether I wanted to explore the city or simply enjoy the local amenities, the hotel's location made it a great choice for my stay.
It's a beautiful Hotel. The staff is very generous, polite communicative and responsive. They always are eager to serve their best. It's close to several embassies which makes it easily accessible for dignitaries. The IGI airport is 15-20 minutes away. You would enjoy your stay here.
Great place for a special night out. The food was innovative and flavour-ful and surprisingly a lot of tasty vegetarian options were also there. Great service ofcourse. The drinks were disappointing tho. Also, very expensive place so choose to go wisely but yes you won't be disappointed if u end up spending that much for a meal :)
