Decent food! Though staff got my order wrong. There is a leather shop inside the restaurant with a annoying salesman that will come and bother you when your at dinner.
Nice place for western style breakfast in the Main Bazaar.
Good quality breads and local cheeses, buffet breakfast options for a reasonable prices.
Worth a visit if you need some change from the Indian food.
Keep in mind that the service is extremely slow.
I started my India tour from Delhi, and the guest house above the Brown Bread Bakery there was my first place of stay there and I became acquainted with the bakery during my stay here first. The manager of Ajay guest house was very helpful and highly recommended the bakery's guest house in Varanasi

Well, because it has been the same for the past 10 years and have a deep connect with it. Noone really cares whether you are there or not. Gives you a nice, relaxing feeling while you dig in to classic cheese sandwiches and pancakes.
I already visited the Brown Bread Bakery a few times, when I visited Delhi. It is in the main tourist area, in the same building as the Ajay Guesthouse. As I am a German and stayed in India for a while, I realy missed german bread. And what should I say, the best place to find it is definetly this b
Have been here a few times over the years. The brown bread is great and generally the food is good. The staff are not so friendly but ok.
The Multigrain Baguette/Buns are the best I had outside of Germany and I write this as a German. The cheese is also delicious and there is a wide range of options for dinner also.
Can be difficult to find... You have to walk into a dark alley and it is in the ground floor of a hotel. Loved the breakfast buffet very much... Fresh ingredients, great variety and quick service...
I stayed for two nights and hadn’t had one complaint. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was fine and restaurant is really tasty.
Here the food was excellent and plus their service was also good What I recommend they should decorate and renovate the restaurant more properly
