We are out on friday night with kids in CP and most of the lounges and cafes don't allow the kids on weekends. So i googled and found this place with good rating. From outside the place don't look so attractive but for family dinners its good especially on weekends. The service was very fast, food quality and quantity both were excellent. Dal makhni was superb. Missi roti was of XXL size. Staff is very friendly and take cares of kids.
Friendly staff, tourist focused with good hygiene and western flavours . But if you ask them they will spice things up for a more authentic flavour . Good drink specials and central location .
A superb blend of authentic Indian food serving the best delicacies in town. They have a very good variety of dishes in both veg and non veg. A pleasing and warm ambience with light soft music unlike the other place in Connaught place. It's an ideal place to visit with family members.
It is hard to believe that such an excellent culinary organisation was able to escape my "food sense" for such a long time. If it not for Zomato's collections page, I would not have able to sample of the most delicious food to be served in the gallis of Connaught Place.
The place is situated in a galli in CP's E block, right between the inner and outer circle boundaries. The road out the place is very maintained and the durbaan is a cheerful guy with a decent moustache(bonus points).
As we entered the place, our attention was immediately grabbed by the decor and positioning of the place followed by the proud award plaque that they have put up near the entrance(Sorry I can't remember the prestigious award they earned).
The staff was polite, helpful and understanding as they catered to our request of changing our seating location in a professional manner. The new location was quickly cleaned and arranged for us.
This was the first time I was not in a animal like hungry phase while visiting a eatery so we started with light starter set comprising of Ram Ladoo(Had heard people complimenting it in various reviews) and Prawn Kurkure(My seafood adventure continues from my trip to the southern half of the country). Ladoos were properly prepared and the garnish of Radish, green leaves and hari(green) chutney on them gave them an authentic taste close to what you get on the Delhi streets. The Prawns were well cooked and their coating was flavourful. The quantity was enough to stuff me full for the entire night.
Since the family and me were 90% full from our appetisers, we decided against ordering proper dinner dishes. But, both my father and I had been curiously eying the BREADS section of the menu and decided to eat try the Khameeri Roti and Chilly Paneer Parantha. Now comes the most entertaining part of the night. As we informed the waiter of our order of breads for dinner, he naturally asked us for gravy or daal to accompany it. Naturally we declined since we were full. The poor guy tried again and again, trying to make us understand that the breads would be too dry, how Khameeri Roti is just leavened bread and so on. When we still did not budge from our decision, he left but continued to stare from afar as to how we would finish our meal of just breads with no gravy/flavour to accompany them😂
We ended the night with Kesar Kulfi and Green Mango More mocktail(heavenly).
I would really like to come here once again with family and friends to properly experience the dinner/main course part of the restaurant because the limited I did experience the ambience and food, it was mind blowing. My Dad could not stop himself from praising the chef/s.
Excellent work Zabardast Kitchen crew.
One of the finest restaurants when it comes to quality food and perfect ambience
Butter chicken and mirchi parantha truly made our day.
The long waiting on weekends is a turn off, but calm ambience and good Indian food makes it worth it.
I didnt know you could have this cool place in that area. Nice ambiance, quick service and most of all, it wasn't costly for great quality of food. Deserts is something they could easily improve upon. Neither the ice cream nor kulfi, not even milk cake came close to good. It was a great dining experience for the eight of us in a group including elderly. They did not although ask or tell us before billing in 10% service charges which we found silly to contest post billing.
Located in Connaught Place, restaurant can be found reasonably easily. Prompt courteous staff, generous servings of North Indian food. Quality of food very good and authentic in flavor profile. Priced very well, would definitely visit Zabardast Indian Kitchen again!
Very Good food on mid range cost. Not too much variety but whatever is available is good and delicious. Soon going to have the bar. So if you need good food with some drinks then you are at right place. Nice cosy environment for family and couples. The staff is friendly and humble.
Yesterday had a lovely party / dinner over here.
ambiance is so nice and the menu 👍 try ram ladoo and dahi kabab
Fantastic! Some of the freshest, most flavorful traditional North Indian cuisine in Connaught place. The service and atmosphere is top notch too. It's also comforting to see a non-gimicky, straight forward traditional Indian place in this part of town.
The food is absolutely amazing! Must try their Butter Chicken. The service was a little slow though, but that's fine.
The place is nice and quiet. Overall a good dining experience
Amazing place, fine dining. In the middle circle right opposite and a venture of HotMess pub. Offers fine dining experience. Ambience is commendable, service is quick and efficient. Taste is good, we ordered fish Amritsari that stole the show completely! Chicken and dahi kebab were mouth watering too.
Loved the experience, will come again!
Offers Zomato Gold discounts too.
A gr8 fine dining place to hand out with families. This place highlight was its live band playing mostly Indian 80s and 90s songs and it was pretty amazing. This place serves only North Indian Mughlai food so choose the place as per your taste. The food quality and taste was pretty good and every dish we order was quite good.
The Dal Makhani, Malai Broccoli was amazing.
Overall a gr8 place to spend time with family.
This place has been on my goto list from a long time and finally reserved the table for the family for our 5th marriage Anniversary. What could be better then delicious starters with a good quantity. Everything I've tried has gone above and beyond my expectations.
Our Order:
Veg platter included some amazing malai broccoli which were incredibly herby, soft, creamy and not at all oily. Dahi kebab were amazingly soft juicy and well seasoned. Tandoori aloo were pretty nice and authentic. Soya chaap were also upto the mark but the broccolis easily were the winner.
Ram Ladoo were looking great as soon as they were placed on our table but they were pretty dry. I dont know why every1 praised this starter in some reviews. Its better to try this delicacy on the streets.
Tandoori veg and fruit salad was refreshing and light. If you are into eating some healthy food then you can go for this but i was not a big fan of this as i want a proper food for my dinner. However my family loved this starter.
Non veg mix platter is a must have if u want to try enough NV starters in here. The quantity is more then enough. Bhatti da murg was served hot and smelled the way it should be. Perfectly grilled but could have been marinated for a little more time. Malai tikka was an okish one. There are many places which serve amazing juicy soft tikkas in town. This was not close to those great one. Kebabs were great soft and buttery. They were leaving the juice as soon as i was trying to get a bite. They were that juicy. And the start of the paltter was the double fish tikka. These tikkas were the most pleasing among what i had so far. I just felt complete after having these amazing delicious fish tikkas.
Veg tawa items: These are prepared just infront of you on a live tawa. The smell was great and satisfying. This dish is for spice lovers. It was filled with garlic, onions and masala. You will love all the items prepared on tawa.
Till now i was a fan of this place. And we ordered our mains.
Zabardast dal makhani was to die for. I have already praised dal makahni of hot mess in my previous reviews. Dal makahni which hot mess served was this one only. I can tell by the taste. Till now, i havnt found any restaurant serving better daal makahni then this one. Its a must have.
Paneer tikka butter masala was another speciality. The paneer pieces were covered in a crazy yumm tomato curry balanced with perfect sweetness and spices.
Peeli daal was good but nothing extraordinary. Had a good regular flavour.
Tari waala chicken was like a dhaba type chicken. The portion was a little small but flavours were pretty amazing.
For dessert we ordered chocolate dhoda brownie. It was orgasmic. was so so A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I just ordered one and every1 ordered after taking a bite from my portion.
I wanted to taste many more chicken dishes but i was already full. Next time i will be on full non veg diet for sure. And yes, i will not stop visiting this place again and again.
What a great spot. The meals were fresh, hot, delicious and spicy. Amazing place and the service is also great. This restaurant is hands down the best north indian restautant in the whole CP.
Nice place to eat out. Reasonably good varieties of Indian food. Nice sitting arrangement the service is good overall good eating juncture. Locating is little confusing as it is at the backside lane. Entrance is shabby while going out after food the garbage lying closeby is little awkward else good experience.
