One of those places where you can forget your problems, just grab a book to read, order a toastie with smoothie & get cosy.
This is a must visit place in CP if you want to enjoy some tea or coffee without burning a hole in your pocket.
We absolutely loved the cheese toasties along with bollywood chai (masala tea)
Price- 4/5
Staff - 4.5/5
Food- 4/5
Cha bar is a great place to hang, surrounded by the best book in the best book store and that beautiful ambience its so calming . I used to go there have a colf coffee & a chilli cheese toast and just write write. Its great place just had space issues ,quite congested and crowdy at times but aside to that its just the place where you will feel the peace in you!❤️
Cha bar has always been my favourite place.
Bunking classes and chilling at CHA BAR is still my favourite memory.
Beautiful decor.
Lively ambience.
Amazing atmosphere.
And the food is great.
The top dishes I order here are ice teas, cold coffee, sandwich and salad
our experience in this particular cafe is very good. One fine winter evening we visited the cafe ordered cups of tea, pasta and sandwiches. They were delicious and filled our tummies for breakfast. One must visit the cafe for sitting in a quite atmosphere gossiping with friends and having yummy food.
Ordered hot chocolate, ginger tea and white sauce pasta. Hot chocolate was really good. The pasta had less portion according to price. The tea was also good. Service was pretty good. Loved the ambience.
I went there with my girlfriend.
Ambience was so beautiful and peaceful and attractive.
Food was also very delicious and amazing.
Crowd was gentle .
Service and staff was very courteous .
Must recommended
Such a beautiful ambience and friendly staff. The food is delicious and amazing specially the pizzas. Although a little bit expensive.
Exercise? 🤕😩 I thought you said extra fries! 🍟🍟🤤😍 They serve a wide variety of fries and it goes well with Masala Tea.☕
MY FAVORITE PLACE IN CP. Loved their burgers and Chocolate truffle. It's best out there. We ordered a pizza, burger, chocolate truffle, tea, cappucino coffee, pasta, Ice tea. Loved the ice tea too. It's a pocket friendly cafe.
Beautiful place with soothing ambience. Tried sandwich, strawberry shake and filter coffee - I must say all were perfect 😍 Highly recommended for coffee date 😉
I went to Cha bar some time back, it's simply amazing. I mean what else could you think of when you have a place to eat and read? Nothing right?. It's the best place to eat and read. The food they serve is amazing, the ambience was utterly beautiful
Amazing place for a book reader and for a person who is foodie . It's a perfect place for soothing ambience ♥️
Located at N block in oxford book store, a tea lounge with vibrant and attractive ambience to sit and chill. Went there with my girl to try their tea as we had heard a lot about them and she is a great fan of masala chai.
We had masala tea with english breakfast and some grilled chicken and a cup of cappuccino (as i m not a tea person). Masala tea was rejuvenating and settling on her taste buds and I was more than satisfied by my cappuccino.
This place is easy on pocket as well.
All in all, have not tried their food items much but really recommend this for beverages.
A classical heaven for a foodie and a reader combined, yhe great interior provides it a simple yet classical appearance. The food is delicious. We tried burger, fires, garlic bread and we loved it. The place is perfect to grab a coffee for a perfect evening.
Special mentions: cha bar coffee blend, vegetarian burger❣
The cha bar was really a nice experience. The interior and decor was also well furnished. The coffee and eatables were also good. Hygiene was up to the mark. Hope to visit again soon...❤️

This is my favourite place in delhi. Absolutely love the ambience and the food is the best i have had. Never got disappointed with this place. Such a wonderful menu. It's very hard to choose a tea. The place is usually crowded and we have to wait to be seated. It is at the heart of oxford book store. Along with books there are many more things like crafts and cool stationary articles. There is a reading area in the back which is so peaceful.
Food : 5/5 ordered red sauce pasta, vada pav, blueberry muffin, peach ice tea. Vada pav is a must have. The portion size is quite generous and the prices are very reasonable.
Ambience : 5/5 everything from the choice of music to the lights and all the decorations are wonderful. It's a fun place to be in specially if you're a geek, a reader or a stationary lover. Gets a little congested because of the crowd during daytime.
Service : 4/5 slow if it is crowded. They don't have that many staff as the customers so you usually have to wait for their order, even to be placed sometimes. If there are only 3-4 tables full then the speed is okay. The staff is courteous. I did have to repeat my order thrice when i went there the 2nd time.
Price : quite okayish. Very reasonable. You won't regret eating here.
Create healthy habits , not restrictions.
A perfect healthy breakfast with amazing ambience and hospitality . A pocket friendly cafe.
What - wood fired oven smoked vegetable salad , hot chocolate & passionfruit (beverage)
This is one of my favourite place in the connaught place. It's a small cafe attached to oxford book store thus a very good place especially for book lovers. Good food and good service . It's a pocket friendly cafe but the crowd are hell is CRAZY!! . .
Ambience is nice..
Overall i like it..
This place is one of my favt places in the canaught place.
They have one the best staff services .
They provide a comfortable seating area with a beatiful ambience.
Insta photo worthy place.
I ordered here,
Achari paneer tikka-crispy and tasty.
Chilli chesse toast-cruncy perfect
White sauce pasta-my favorite always.
Perfect place to visit with your friends.
Cha Bar scores for me on access and ambience before we even get to the menu and service.
Access: 5 minutes from Barakhamba Metro or Rajiv Chowk by Metro and Uber easy
Ambience: Clean, warm and welcoming, it is delightful to wait there instead of on the street surrounded by sea of books to browse/ buy as you wait. A place for meeting friends and catching up. Not a business atmosphere - can't see myself having a work discussion here.
Servers: The team from Manipur add their touch and their singsong greetings are sweeter for the efforts to get each table the chairs its occupants require
Menu: one of the biggest collections of teas and a limited coffee menu that serves cappucinos, lattes, americano's as well as filter coffee. Spiced Cappuccino and Hakuna Matata ( a kenyan filter coffee) are much recommended
Eats: decent shwarmas. My spinach and feta quiche was nice but over salted. the oat and multigrain muffins were yum. Bluberry muffins were sugared low and just right.
Pricing: Very affordable and easy on the pocket. The coffees were Rs 110 each with
tax. food was also similarly so. It is great value for money
The place is packed, particularly during office lunch hours but moves quickly. We got a table in 10 minutes.
It's still a favourite spot to hang out. A shout-out to the staff- all polite and professional.
A really small place which generally stays quite crowded with intellectuals. The ambience is good, but sometimes a bit loud. The food is average, with chilli cheese toasties and pasta being the only good options. Beverages on the other hand are very refreshing and authentic. Desserts too are decent.
Blueberry Bubble ice tea is very good I didn’t like the chicken cooked in bombay style which was quite hard to chew but i love the fish and chips it serves a good quality food love to visit them again and again and again.
Service 3*
Ambiance 3*
Food 3*
Place is nothing have special it's only a hype created by the people. Food is up to the mark. Above all You can have a good and young crowd
Very good place for visit
Amazing food 👌
Passionfruit iced tea was the one I ordered. It was absolutely refreshing and not too sweet. It was just perfect. The flavour of passionfruit was quite evident.
It was cool and soothing and perfect for the summer season. Do give it a try.
I would give it 4.5/5
One of the best place at delhi to spend some quality time having hot chocolate with your family and friends.
Service is good and pocket friendly cafe.
One of the best places in Delhi for any rendezvous. Be it dates, academic meets or casual encounters with friends, cha bar has a place in its heart for chilling of every kind. Especially for a bookworm like me Cha bar offers the best aura to bond. If you have someone you have met on a dating app and can't decide where to go- cha bar is your place. It would guarentee having no awkward silences between you and your partner. There is content to talk about all around. Even if you don't exit falling in love with a real person you might take away home you perfect fictional character
The food and place is really good. The prices are also decent. But the place is always very crowded with people
A low cost and ethereal place in the heart of the city! A book lovers paradise, Cha bar is the perfectly quaint place to enjoy tea or have a conversation with your friends. The pasta and fries are a must have at this place.
What a cute little place next to a bookstore for a date!! Coffee is great. Food is yum and very affordable. The menu is vast and you can choose from a variety of teas and snacks. It gets crowded over weekends. They should have better desserts though
Tea lovers and book lovers, this is the adda for you and me. Varieties in the menu will leave you thinking about your mood like me who went to try a tea and ended up ordering one hakuna matata coffee and jasmine tea😁... Prices are pocket friendly. Also the taste of the food is compatible with whatever you order to drink... The only thing which i didn't like is the noises because of the placement of tables.. Set up in small place but the menu is worth going there again😁. Great place to hangout with friends
The cha bar has to be my favourite place for some reasonably priced Italian food and as well as their american. They provide some really good teas and milkshakes and great coolers in summers. Have variety of chai on their menu.
Should try their white sauce pasta and fish and chips.
It has lip smacking food that’s too easy on pocket. Quality and quantity of food is just perfect. I visit here almost every other day. The staff is very friendly and sweet.
Lovely place for hanging out for a cup of tea or coffee.
This place is good for small meetings and for cheat dayz too. Their pasta is good enough but the best part is their coffee and their quantity with quality. I personally believe that coolers are the bonus of our food and they have it all♥️
Great hang out place and the ambience goes well with the name of the cafe. Cosy and personal space. Great for hanging out with a small group. Slightly noisy but highly recommended though staff was quite impatient and rattled while handling customers

Cute little place with amazing ambiance.
They serve delicious food and drinks. I had thin crust pizza ,pasta and some refreshing drink .
Food -4.5/5
Service -4/5
Wow this place got of the vibes of geek wonderland. ❤️ Loved this beautiful bookish place. Felt like it is a cafe from mumbai and at every corner people enjoying tea with delights. They offer variety of teas and books, which is fun.
5/5 for Ambience
4.5/5 for Food
4/5 for Ice tea Soda and Lemonade (drinks)
Enjoyed the placed.
A cafe hidden inside the oxford bookstore for that little time you were seeking for yourself while you purchased that favourite book of yours.
Ambience: a very cozy place with small seatings and soothing lights.
What I ordered: French Fries, Three Chilly Cheese Toasties, masala tea and Blueberry Bubble Milkshake
My review: Well.. French fries are never a wrong choice..my blueberry bubble milkshake tasted more like strawberry milkshake for some reason.. Masala tea was good.. toasties were delicious however i would have loved it a little more crispier than served..
Cheers!!
Happy Fooding!!
It's such a place with a cute interior and also has a book place. It's a good place with good food and good vibes. I had a good time there with my friends. The things we ordered there were so tasty. If you want to spend some cozy time with your loved ones one must definitely go there.
For Chai pe charcha ☕ this is one of the best place to visit .
Place looked good bt we went in an weekend evening, so it was overcrowded and we couldn’t enjoy the ambiance there. Beverages were up to the mark but pasta was okeish. Also, contrary to my expectation, they dont allow books in the cafeteria, so i was lil disappointed. Hibiscus tea was refreshing.
The deco is too cute and there are plenty of books and stationery for you to buy. The idea of reading a book with hot chocolate coffee is amazing.
There is also a tarrot card reading in that section. I don't believe in all this but for the experience it was okay.
The place is located in the Oxford book store, has a wide range of options in Teas, I had my first date at this place, and after that I've been visiting it so often. I tried there cappuccino, Herbal Tea, Truck driver tea.
The place is beautiful, crowded, chirpy, didn't like their small chairs though, but yes can be visited if you're a book lover or tea lover.
In the same premises is Oxford Bookstore where you can linger over the books and enjoy the soothing cup of tea.
The place is always crowded and you will have to wait for your table. The ambience , lighting and environment is suitable for a casual chillout alone or with a friend. While your waiting for your order to come , you can check out the books and various accessories offered by the Oxford Book stores

Cha Bar has always been my favourite place when it comes to simple dine n sip of coffee with books.
Though space is less, u have lot of food options to eat.
One must try affogato from cha bar.
Alfredo pasta was also good
Vada pao was also fine
Saw this place sitting at chayoos opposite to it. I am not much of a tea person, but the options they had blew my mind. I am in love with their ayurvedic teas. Those were just what i wanted. Went back in the evening. Hope they open branches in Mumbai as well.
Cha Bar is one of my favourite places to chill in CP. It’s got a great vibe!!
The only issue is that the restaurant space is really small and it’s difficult to get a table.
I really like their fish and chips and club sandwich. Their shakes are also pretty good
Overall Verdict - Really nice place for book lovers who want to get a cup of coffee
This place is at the outer circle of Connaught Place, famous for it's collection of books and other goodies and a great ambience though the sitting area can be a little claustrophobic on crowded days, however items they offer in their menu are really good and freshly prepared, a mini market place next to the dining hall and gives you a new kind of experience.
I was in connaught place today and decided to try out a new place to eat. I came accross this càfe and decided to visit this place. Prices are relatively cheaper and more affordable than usual cafes and all. You can see the difference by the crowd at the place. Food was delicious specially the sandwichs were good.
Divya Bhatia went on a bff date and trust me it was good!
The ambience of Cha Bar is recreative. It's not chaotic at all. The best thing about this place is that is a book cafe. It is a very pocket friendly place. The food is actually good and portion of the food could have been little more.. I don't even have the count about many times I'd been there. Staff is very polite and friendly.
It's awesome place for snacks. Costing 300 for two.
Food quality and everything was just perfect, you should have no doubt upon that but Yes, the service is way too delayed. The restaurant, being quite cheap and limited seating capacity, encounters massive crowd attraction which just make impossible for the workers to deal with. Apart from that one must visit it to have an ambience of book store along side a cafe which serves multiple varieties of highly exotic teas!
Nutty English Tea Cake is a must try😋😋
Considering the crowd and deteriorating quality over the weekends, chose to go over a weekday evening. Tried bubble tea for the first time, they have a good range of flavor options and I picked blueberry. Good portion for the price. Prompt service as it wasn't overcrowded as usual.
Blueberry bubble tea - 4/5 (slightly too sweet)
Coorg coffee - 4.5/5
Fish and chips - 5/5, crisp and fresh - melt in mouth fish
Perfect place for a bibliophile. It's a cafe inside a bookstore. Various kinds of teas and herbal teas are available. They serve the best camomile tea. Prices are very reasonable.
About the bookstore: though they have a really nice ambience, they sell books at the net rate.
All those book lovers out there this is one place you would like to visit very very soon.
It's connected with the Oxford Book Store and it's the best place to be for all the book lovers out there. They have every single genre you would like to read. They allow you to read books while having a cup of coffee and it's the best feeling.
You have so much of options to choose from yo eat and you would love it all because it's the best way to spend your time if you are in CP. All the latest books and all the happiness that's all we want.
Books + Coffee = PERFECTION!
If you are looking for a cosy cafe to read that book which is pending long due or to have a soothing tea with your friend. Then this is the best place.
With tasty delicacies and warm cup of tea you'll have the best reading hour here.
Wonderful as always. Over the last many years of visiting CP, Cha Bar somehow always turns out to be the place I inevitably land at. A very different atmosphere and one of the best hot chocolate I've had in Delhi. There might be some wait time involved but the turn around is fast.
One of those perfect places to go out with family or friends! This is one place where you can taste authentic food flavours🍝 within affordable price! Really good service👌, delicious food😋 and beautiful ambience😍. I'd love to try more tea's and dishes from the menu! 🙌
This cafe is basically built inside the Oxford bookstore, it has a great ambience and is student pocket friendly.
We ordered Falafel hummus with Pita bread and the veg snack platter, followed by basil pesto, baked cheesecake and hot chocolate.
Food was very delicious, especially pesto and cheesecake were too good to resist.
Highly recommended for evening hangouts & dates.
A lovely place to visit with friends and family . In morning there are limited options, there is a specific column in the menu for that. Best time to visit is noon till midnight also this place is crowded so you may have to wait around 15-20 minutes at least.
Great and happening ambience as well as the hospitality there. Staff is really polite and provides you with the best they can offer.
There is issue of parking so try to go in a Metro or cab there.
A great bakery as well present in it also. A lot of options to try. Overall a great experience, you should go for pizza as well they offer a great taste.
Definitely worth going again
This place has a vive good food with good ambiance. A place full of books. You will find all kinds of books there. Even taste of food is so good we liked the pasta and ice tea. Prices are not so high. Overall a good experience.
It's a good place. The prices were pretty budget friendly and it is located in the Oxford Bookstore.
Near gate no.5 Rajiv chowk metro station. Coffee was just 70% ice ans 30% coffee..Food is okayish not that great there was not much of ventilation the air conditioning was not working and it was very crowded. If you're a book lover the Oxford library is great to search through. I'd recommend it only for hang out with friends over chai and books nothing much.
You'll never guess where Cha Bar is!
Located inside the Oxford Bookstore, Cha Bar offers an elegant and rustic vibe to it's diners with only a handful of serving and kitchen staff.
Their menu features a wide range of beverages, especially Chai, and hence the name. They also serve an ample variety of continental and Indian appetizers and desserts to accompany your Chai.
We ended up ordering a Ginger tea which could've been a bit stronger, but we really loved the Masala Chai and the Blueberry Cheesecake!
Overall, Cha Bar offers a haven to the avid bookworms on a shopping spree in Oxford to have a quick read.
One of the best restaurant/cafe in Connaught Place as well as in Delhi. Tucked inside the Oxford Book Store, it has a wonderful vibe. It gets a bit crowded in the evening but the wait times are not long. There are scores and scores of different types of teas and brews you can try as well a large number of side accompaniments like burgers, pastas, pizzas, sandwiches and cakes. Excellent service and reasonable wait times. I've been here so many times. Prices are also very reasonable. One of the best options for a date or a chill time when in Connaught Place.
Cha Bar, located in the heart of Connaught Place within the Oxford Bookstore, is a hidden gem for bookworms and tea lovers. I often visit there with my friends, this is a charming tea café, and I must say it left a lasting impression.
The interiors of Cha Bar are simply beautiful. The space is tastefully decorated, creating a cozy and inviting atmosphere. The shelves adorned with books add a touch of literary charm, making it the perfect spot for a leisurely afternoon of reading and sipping tea.
The cutlery at Cha Bar is top-notch. From the elegant teapots to the delicate tea cups, every detail is carefully chosen to enhance the tea-drinking experience. The attention to detail is commendable and contributes to the overall enjoyment of the visit.
But the highlight of Cha Bar is undoubtedly the menu. The range of dishes and drinks on offer is truly impressive. Whether you're in the mood for a classic masala chai or an exotic herbal infusion, Cha Bar has you covered. The teas are brewed to perfection, with a depth of flavors that is truly satisfying. The accompanying snacks and bites are equally delightful, with a variety of options to please every palate.
The service at Cha Bar is attentive and friendly. The staff is knowledgeable about the teas and always ready to provide recommendations based on your preferences. They create a welcoming and relaxed environment, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
In conclusion, Cha Bar in the Oxford Bookstore Connaught Place is a haven for tea enthusiasts. With its beautiful interiors, great cutlery, and a delectable array of dishes and drinks, it offers a delightful escape from the bustling city. Whether you're a book lover or simply looking for a cozy spot to unwind, Cha Bar is the perfect destination.
Good ambience but not spacious. The Oxford library outside is also beautiful. Even the gaurd their was very humble.
Food is average. Service is also not good. chocolate boat is recommended. Lovely ambience and the crowd is also fine.
The place is nice because it's right inside the Oxford store. So very good for bibliophiles. But apart from that, it's very crowded and finding a place to sit in the weekend is quite hard. Food was good. It's mostly affordable and worth the money. I personally won't recommend the Chicken Shawarma though. They have an extensive menu of tea though so tea lovers can definitely check that. Service was good and staff quite helpful.
Cha Bar is the first Tea Cafes of its kind. It had first started in Kolkata. I had always seen this cafe from the Oxford Bookstore that I visited a couple of times which adjoins it, but I could never actually visit this Cafe and experience the food and the atmosphere.
When I first visited and opened the Menu, I was surprised by the wide and diverse variety of tea offered on the menu, and that's when I realised that it is 'Cha Bar' for a reason and not just a fancy name. It also serves small nibbles, coffee, summer coolers and other food items.
I liked the vibe of the place. The staff is nice and polite.I also liked the food items available and surely want to try some day.
I had only had the Bubble milkshake which was kinda disappointing keeping in mind the innovative way it is served. It was just average, ofcourse there is this excitement and curiosity to burst and taste all the flavoured bubbles.
Nevertheless I want to visit the cafe again and try other items on the menu.
Ideal place to have conversation with your friends over shakes or chai. It's a book lovers cafe and is paradise of books.
Have a collection of English novels along with diaries, memo pads, fridge magnets, junkies, etc.
Ambience is good, budget friendly, staff is good, also hygienic place. Cappuccino was good. But food is so so. Ramen ki jgh maggi mili. I paid 280 for Maggi with egg. Rest is ok. Good place for coffee date. Not for lunch and dinner.
This was the first time I visited Cha bar and i would say it was the best experience at CP for me. I am definitely going to visit it again.
The ambience is just perfect. This is an Oxford bookstore and also a cafe. We tried hot cappuccino and a cold coffee. It was good.
The price was good as well.
Best experience ever.
