I was last here in January 2015 with my bunch. Loved the outdoors here, the big sofas by the poolside/garden of Taj Palace Hotel. Lovely drinks of course and no place is quite like this in a 5 star on cold winter nights. A lovely place to go on a date or with colleagues for a high profile evening. Probably will be heading here next only on a special occasion :)
Very nice place to have some private time...service is awsome just like any TAJ property...they have some good wine collection and they are happy to help in selecting one. I always have good time being here. Thanks TAJ team.
This place has so much of nostalgia and calm; had some exceptional service from Mr. Lovely and Mr. Aman who I would rate very highly in terms of customer experience. Unfortunately can’t say the same for the highly opinionated mixologist.

Joel Scholtens Lindsay, hailing from the East coast of Australia, upon special request created a fusion. The cocktail was not only a visual treat but a burst of quintessential liquid frenzy. Joel presented with a practiced magician’s flourish and poise a cocktail that I would like to call Joel’s Joie De Vivre. As it was a medley of sour and sweet spirits, pickle and lime.
The humongous beverage list includes incredible cocktails, mocktails, wines, and aperitifs, that one could enjoy with delicious food.
The In house DJ played a variation of great lounge music to retro as the evening progressed.
The ambiance is beautiful, with dark colours and antique black chandeliers.This luxurious lounge offers you the option of having a splendid time indoor or unwinding outdoors for an al fresco experience,at the patio near the pool and putting greens

Amazing place. When you bored with regular options then you should check out this. Outdoor seating is just awesome. Can enjoy smoking with drinks watching the lights on lawn. Expensive as it's Taj.

Went here for a team event. It was an winter evening dinner. Loved the setting. The light was perfect. There is both indoor and outdoor sitting. Outdoor sitting with a deck with sofa along with heaters is a bliss.
The service was impeccable as usual.

Nice outdoor place only issue no Shisha as people are demanding the same . The place has the cozy little place for you but for the group also they have the place to accommodate . Though the ambience is great value for money would be 7/10 .
Finest cocktails I've had in town. You feel like reading the menu like a novel the way each and every drink is described. Do yourself a favour and spend some time on the menu before you end up ordering.

Went to blue bar with a friends to unwind and it was the perfect place to do that. Ambience and lighting is perfect for a chill evening with friends.
They have a wide variety of whiskeys on the menu and really worth trying for a whiskey lover.
We ordered achari paneer was soft and full of flavor. We also ordered the sabz sikandari and it was ok. Nothing really great.

A few nights back I had a 1. Arabian Night 2. Prune Sazarac 3. Sacred Heart 4. Chai Walla Cocktail 5. Amazing Grace and finished with Heavenly Brie nowhere in the world will you get 6 cocktails this good one epic tasting cocktail after another India's best cocktail bar. Ever!!!!!

This is one of those iconic places in the city where to have to go and check off your list. We were staying in the property when we visited and it was on a Saturday night. This place has fairly limited seating so don't expect a table unless you know someone who knows someone . The indoors is where the bar scene is and outdoor is where there is few table ( although they are huge in size) overlooking the beautiful mini golf course of the hotel. They serve finger food which is good. The music they play does the trick. My assumption is the high quality music and various cocktails served makes up for the loyal following this place has. This is open till late if that's your thing. The only way you will come out disappointed is if you don't share the music taste and is not to crazy about mixing your drinks right, you will almost feel robbed at the end of the night. Visit with an open mind ( and a heavy wallet) and you just might discover things you haven't tasted before.
It is one of the best bars in Delhi. My experience has always been good here. It gets very crowded though and one can't find a place to sit outside.

We went actually for spicy duck but had to spend time in blue bar due to long waiting. The place is nicely maintained and bar setup is great. They arrange seating when u reach and remove it immediately after you stand up... May be to keep more space available. The outdoor seating adds charm to the place. Music started to rise as time passed by. Combination of drinks and food was excellent however staff was slightly non attentive.

Was staying as in-house guest so thought of checking out the place. The collection of the cocktails is good and crowd was decent on a Friday night. I expected it to be more of loud. Half of the space was reserved for some private party which was not marked..felt uncomfortable when asked to move out of that space.
Sitting space outside was also reserved for same group without any marking..overall a bad experience and left the place with out enjoying much..

You won't care about the food as you will be enthralled by the selection of cocktails , beverages and their Woodward reserve based cocktails. The bar tender is fantastic and was kind to come and explain Bourbon selections and make suggestions. Wine selection is great aa well. Finger food is fine but the setting takes the cake. You will have the feeling of couched away from the city while being right in the middle of it. Music is good and so is the lighting. Must try - Old Friend cocktail and Malbec for wine!

A place where elegance with elegant celebrates. I am quite found of this place for its beautiful & decor. I believe its decor is among- st the best in town. They play English chart busters which gears you up till late. As the name suggests, its a Bar with handfulof options on their Menu for you to Munch, that too only on Fridays & Saturdays.
On my Plate: Chicken Dry Red Chilli, Kashmiri Mirch Ka Murg Tikka, Subz Shikampuri Kabab & BBQ Mushrooms.
For Drinks: Red wine Sangria & Beer
My Take on Food: They have 10 options (5 veg & 5 Non veg) on their Menu. And you may order anything on it, they serve you scrumptious delights for you to enjoy with your drinks.
1) Chicken Dry Red Chili- If you are spicy food lover, then this dish is a MUST for you to try. I loved its flavor. Its more like Vietnamese preparation where chicken is fried(not to much) and sauteed in onions & chilies. Chicken was juicy & tender.
2) Kashmiri Mirch Ka Murg Tikka- For Health conscious, you can definitely go for this. Chicken was coated well with Kashmiri Mirch & hung yougurt, it was not spicy. Also, chicken was tender & flavorful.
3) Subz Shikampuri Kabab- Crisp Vegetable Kebabs, with the core of spiced herbed hung yogurt. I enjoyed these Kebabs for its soft flavorful taste.
4) BBQ Mushrooms-Mushrooms fried and sauteed in BBQ sauce & onions. Must for Mushroom Lovers. A veggie delight.
My take on Drinks: I usually order Red wine Sangria here. They prepare their Sangria in Old way, by preparing & keeping it overnight to be served next day. This way their Sangria has sweet yet bitter flavor.
Overall I enjoy this Place. Though as per the Quantity their Prices are definitely high. And, on top of it, you have to pay extra taxes as well.
Blue Bar is one of the best bars in delhi to have some serious cocktails. The bar tenders Vikram and Jo are very precise with their cocktails. Its a place that begs you to stick around for another round. They also have the best Old Fashioned in Delhi. Make sure you try that!

1st thing that you notice about this place is ambiance of this place accompanied by an open garden. One of the best place in delhi to have drinks , enjoy music and chill with your close ones.. Limited food menu but you are never gonna get past the variety of cocktails they offer. The service is good.

Planned a team event at the Blue Bar on a friday evening. Located in Delhi's Taj Palace this place rocks. The experience is truly world class absolutely comparable with the ones I had in New York and Los Angeles.
The entire team at the Blue Bar is superb but 3 people deserve a special round of applause Raj, Dilbar and Vikram.
Loved the Old Fashioned, whiskey sour, LIIT, Old Friend and every other cocktail made by these Liquid Chefs. The Prune Sazerac was to die for.

The Blue bar has great ambience, brilliant selection of innovative cocktails and drinks...it was so difficult to pick what drink to try. Finally ordered a classic, Mulled wine....kept waiting and then we were informed almost 10-15mins later that it wasn't available. The bartender then asked what base I would prefer, choice of sweet or sour and then fashioned a drink of beer infused with spices with bourbon and orange bitters. The drink was unique and as I mentioned innovative. The only problem is the slow service

I completely love this place. The ambiance and beverage offerings are an absolute delight at The Blue Bar.
Whenever my friends travel from outstation, they usually check in to the Taj and we meet over drinks at this bar that has an amazing al fresco seating and super cool bar tenders.
They do happy hours until 9 pm and serve liquor on actuals post that. One of the best reasons to visit this place is indeed the music, the in-house DJ is killer and sets up the mood everytime you are there.
The crowd is very unlike the usual places in Delhi, and there are times when this place can become the most rocking party destinations in town.

I kind of love this place. A cool place to hang around with friends and best part is it is among a few places open till late. Very nice music, ambience and service. Well, it certainly has an edge over other types of bar and lounge as a lounge with open air sitting is like atypical kind. But the main thing was the live bar rhe music and the food as everything was spectacular, the place matches the class of the Taj reputation in a well versed manner and so is the miscellaneous aspects.
Appetizers were really good, sorry foodies couldnt click the appetizers but the drinks were innovative and the a very rare selecrion of mocktails which are concocted right in front of you. I was blown by the venue and surely will be hitting it asap.
Really amaing to be here, a must go for chilling and partying with friends like exorbitant style and appeal.

Well the name says it all...Taj one of the most famous and trusted hotel brand across India..this property is one of the best in Delhi..the bar is quite well done..sitting inside and outside is pretty comfortable..the weather was such that we thought of sitting outside besides the lush green surroundings and a pool..!!!service was excellent and servers were on their toes to serve us better..!!!!coming to the drinks...their cocktails are to die for..we ordered one ginger based vodka drink and chivas...and a whiskey based cocktail...all of which was pretty unique and refreshing...we Also ordered lamb in pita pockets which is their signature dish..going with clay oven potatoes...overall it was an evening to remember...it's a must visit for all..cheers!!!!!!

The Taj branding says it all , a beautifully laid out interiors , creative lighting and most importantly one one of the most extincive wine list in the town .
A longish bar set at one corner of the lobby , with a outdoors attached , the place gives out a zen like feeling , relaxing all one's senses .
Was there with a couple of associates for some drinks before dinner at the next door Masala Craft , and the weather gods were favorably incline on that evening , a fine moonlit autumn one with pleasant winds and a clear sky . This prompted us to sit in the outdoor section .
We ordered for a bottle of on of there Merlot and some beers and some snacks to go with it , A order of Tandoori Aloos , Pita Pockets stuffed with some stir fried vegetables and yogurt marinated broccoli , the potatoes were good and the pita pockets excellent , however the however the broccoli was limp and a let down .
The service though very courteous , was again a let down , by not being prompt and attentive , which coming from a legend of Taj's stature , was really sad .
Surely recommended , but will be great if they could work on the speed of orders and attentiveness of the serve staff.

One of the best bar in the city, preferable for evenings , the bar staff is very cordial , they serve the best cocktails , on the other side they have happy hours from 7:00pm to 8:15pm where you can avail the benefit. Well food menu is very limited , prices are lower as compared to other bars of the same category property , a cool place where you can enjoy your drinks and relax.

The pool side,the view, the wine collection, the hostile service..This place is perfect for a date or business meetings. This is not a perfect party place although. When it's Taj, you never need to think twice before going. I got the opportunity to visit this with one of my cousins. Being a non-drinker, I obviously kept my enjoyment limited to a mujito. :p The ambience, quality of service, the serving staff and happy hours, Blue bar will give you all! The pool side location will just be an add on.

They have the sprinklers to keep you cooling hehe ;) There are others to choose from as well like - The Emperors Lounge for some Good Tea. All in all A Thumps Up. Keep me calling - Blue Bar!! :)
Beautiful seating by the poolside. The drinks are very well made, quiet creative indeed. Must try the berry martini.
However, they do not have a great food selection. Even for a bar menu, the offerings are not very appetizing.
There are very good hotels in chankyapuri and taj is definitely one of them and blue bar is a jem in it. Ambience is very beautifully decorated but only downside was that music selection was not that good. Try it out once for satisfaction.
After being to Taj Lake palace Udaipur recently, expectations were high and craving was soaring so planned to visit Blue Bar with my wife.
Ambience and interior as expected were amazing and royal.
The bar is primarily for couple or friends to sit and enjoy drinks. If you are looking for dancing and all then this is not the place. Although music was good and sound system ok'ish. No live music.
Good collection of wines. And the rates are also not that high. For example a peg of JD is INR 650 before taxes and any veg item for on an average INR 550. It would cost around INR 4000 with taxes for a couple to spend a lovely evening in great ambience and with good service.

Has hastily become the most popular after-party place once the other stand-alone bars shut down. As an extension to Blue Ginger, the bar is a standard, serve all booze, have a small starter menu aura about it.
What does set it apart is the comfortable outdoor seating (no, it is not next to the pool), specially in summers, where they have generously got vapour sprays to keep the sizzle down.
Service is flaky and mostly you need to go to the bar to get your own drinks.
Music is apparently very good, which is what keeps the place rocking till 4am, but the night I visited (a saturday) it had no DJ.

A great place for a casual hangout on Saturday night with friends. The music is great. The bar is and the ambiance is great. Service gets slow on a weekend night but still better than other places around.
Used to be a rage in delhi few years ago, still has its charm on the right type of evening. Out of my many visits here some good some ugly , yesterday was a good one , taj staff here had a huge ego when this had opened.
The weather was just perfect to sit outdoors and enjoy the beautiful breeze of outgoing delhi winters with lush green field and a pool side at bay. With the New Delhi laws music output is reduced if you are sitting outdoors so that was the only drawback.
We were 6 of us and got a table without outside much wait...
If you are a beer fan like me you will love the collection - you are spilt for choice. Dunkel, stout, London Pride , paulander, erdinger, bira moretti and more
Appetisers here is also pretty good as it's the same kitchen as blue ginger.

One of the safest bars in Delhi. I have been here many times with my girl friends and we feel completely safe at the Blue Bar. The ambience is terrific, staff is excellent and no one bothers you. They have a lovely cocktails menu and have even made tailor made cocktails for us on request. They really do know how to keep their guests happy. Top marks for this place!
Best cocktails in the city, it should be though because it is very expensive! I'm from kentucky and enjoyed a quality Old Fashioned. It is a classic bourbon cocktail, with woodford reserve. I had 3 drinks, the lamb pita ( 5/5), and my bill was 4500.
I went at 1130 on a Friday and it was dead. It says on zomato it closed early. They said it closes at 4am. I wish I would have went later in the night but it was a nice change from busy dehli

I visited this place on my first anniversary and realize that they have very nice music playing, the garden side sitting is lively and the drinks they serve, this place is expensive for sure but a must-visit for a wonderful time out with friends/spouse if you don't like going out to the usual clubs or bars.

Good Music. I like the hospitality here. Go early if you want to grab a sitting place outside. Usually that is the best place to sit here since the view is nice and in winters it gets quite awesome. The last time i went there long back was the time when i was a bit sick, i could take in alcohol and ended up having their chinese chai. It was weird in taste but i loved it. So i did take it like booze, 5 shots ;)
their lamb roulade is phenomenal. Quantity wise i thought it was a little less but then i could hog 4 burgers at once, i find everything other than a KFC bucket less.

Interesting cocktails, good music, adequate service and a bartender who knows how to make excellent drinks using his mixology tricks.
Sit outside (near the lawn) if you want a quieter time. Be inside if you want to be near the bar.
Apt for a drink or 2 before done heads to Blue Ginger for dinner.
Interestingly by the time I finished dinner (around mid night), this place was actually picking up and had a very eclectic mix of people.
Their cocktails menu is huge and will tease you on every page. Do try their Specialities or if you want to stick to something tried and tested, go for classics.
What I did was I told the bartender that I don't want something sweet and I am ok with sour and spicy... he mixed a perfect cocktail for me which started the evening on a very good note.
Would like to go again in a group to start an evening.
I absolutely love this bar! The ambiance is fantastic, the staff is friendly and attentive, and the drinks are expertly crafted. It's the perfect spot to unwind with friends or enjoy a quiet evening alone. Highly recommended for a great time!

Very good place, Cool place, both indoors and outdoors. I like sitting outside with views of lush green lawns and pool especially around the sun set time.. also. I enjoyed with my friends
Indoor area is a little cramped but outdoor seating arrangement are the plus.
The bar is well stocked with medium and premium brands and the bartender is a nice guy who would customize you drinks according to your taste.
The food is OK and nothing too much to write about.
Although the hotel has valet parking but you would need to wait due to the rush on the porch
Its a great place to hang out with your friends and family. The food is delicious and its a has very nice vibe. Suitable for dates too.

If you are looking for a place for good vibes, good cocktails, mellow music, awesome staff, this 'Taj Experience' is bound to be different. I just felt the food options (snacks) needed a few more options. But overall a worthwhile experience.
