It's a great hub for chole bhature lovers. They offers amazing and authentic taste of chole. It was lil spicy which enhances itself taste. You can have chole rice too as per your preference. The loaction is not that good it's in interior you have navigate or ask the locals there. Must visit and try the delicious chole bhature, highly recommended.

I have tried many chole bhature places in my Food Tour of delhi in last 2 years but if someone had to ask me which one I will prefer above all of them, that stands out.
My answer to them will be a street food outlet serving Delhi's population from last 50 years. Bhogal ke Chole Bhature serving a very short and simple menu. Their bhature & chole both are unique. The bhatura's are very fluffy & have many layers in them. Their chole also comprises of kofta, masala aloo other than the nicely done chickpeas. All the dishes are served with Pumpkin (Kachalu) ki chutney & onions.
A must try place for all the foodies if you are in delhi.
Location - Bhogal Chole Wala at Kanpate behind Scindia House.

Special Note - Bhature Phoole hue nahi hote hai.....

Went there on an early morning, during corona virus times when obviously much crowd isn't expected anyways. Had a very unique experience of empty streets and a small alley leading to this place.

The way they operate is very laid back, things are done the same way they would have probably 30 years back. Very clean no fuss food, low on oil cholas with a basic palak kofta, topped with kachaalo served with doughy and perfectly fermanted bhaturas made for a great breakfast. Priced at 70inr (17 aug 2020) this place is a must try for its old school charm and authentic old Delhi tunch of taste.

Indian cuisines have a variety of regional and traditional cuisines native to the Indian subcontinent.
Chole Bature is a small part of the north Indian cuisine which became the lifeline of Delhi. One can find the youngest person to the eldest person waiting in a queue on a Sunday morning for their plate of chole bhatura. Delhi has lots of chole bhature walas, you can go to any area you will find one or two famous outlets selling Chole Bhature.
I had made a pact that I'll be trying all the famous chole bhature in Delhi and share my experience with everyone.

I have been to sitaram diwan chand in paharganj, chadha chole bhature in Kamala nagar, Rama chole bhature in Tilak Nagar & Sitaram Diwan Chand in Pitampura as well (Taste is entirely different from the Paharganj outlet).
I would say bhogal chole bhature has its own unique taste and is very different from the normal chole bhature which you can easily find in Delhi.

Bhogal Chole Bhature was started in 1962 by Late Ram Bharose and is a popular food joint amongst the office people of Connaught Place. The place is famous for its unique style of preparation of Chole. They serve the chickpeas(chole) with koftas. The koftas are made of sponge gourd and spinach. The shop also serves freshly made mango pickle. One plate of Chola Bhatura will cost you around 50-60 bucks.
They serve amazing chole bhature as well as chole kulche. Apparently it's not that famous amongst Delhi people but on my visit, I had interacted with a couple of people from outside Delhi who especially came to Connaught place just to try their food. The staff has been constant from the last 40 years with its hospitality just like its taste and quality of the food.

The shop is located in the interiors of Connaught Place. It took me half an hour and a bit of asking people to reach there. It is a very simple shop with no such fancy amenities but the taste that cook enhances in his food is amazingly delicious and definitely worth it.
I would suggest you go during the afternoon time as it is less crowded there. The shop is opened till 5 in the evening so make sure to be on time. Bhogal Chole bhature is a must-have and Highly recommended from my side.

Sure You Gonna Love It.

They have the best chole chawal and chole kulche in town. Period. This place has been in existence since a long time and they have been serving the same menu under the same shed ever since. The food quality and quantity is great. There is no seating. I feel like having their salad with chole chawal as I type this review. I wish they could maintain the hygiene. The place is located in the hidden dark gully of Scindia house and is super popular. However if you have sensitive stomach, I would suggest either don't eat their food or carry an anti diarrhea pill in your bag before you gorge on their food.

This outlet is a pioneer of chole bhature in delhi. Its tucked in a small lane near janpath. It serves chole bhature, chole kulche, paranthe, chole chawal etc but is primarily known for chole bhature which i tried. bhature and chole are served separately, as soon as i got the plate of chole in my hand i was mesmerized to see the chole with a pakora, kachalu and onions, these make the chole heavenly, it is perfectly spiced, neither too spicy nor too bland. bhatura could have been a little soft but the chole compensated for the same.

AMAZING!
That really sums it up. The taste of chole was freaking awesome and one of the best I've tried. Gave it a recommendation just on the basis of chole and nothing else.
Beware, don't go here looking for ambience or service. This place is purely famous for its taste and that really works. The chole bhature were good, but chole kulche on the other hand were very disappointing. Would've given it five stars if the bhature were made properly as they were too doughy. Still worth it though!

Go there and ask him not to add mirch ka tadka on top of chole and you would be abs fine. I read lot of reviews that they are very spicy and hot but thats because he explicitly add mirch ka tadka on it. Bhature are a bit oily but taste is very very unique of overall combo. Cp’s charm add to the overall experience.

KHOONI CHOLE BHATURE (BLOODY CHHOLE BHATURE)

This place serves very, very spicy 🌶 🌶 🌶 Chole Bhature. The Chole looks red-hot that’s why it is called ‘Khooni Chole Bhature’. No wonder, they also sell chilled Thums Up to wash it down. I bet you will need it.

The Chole also has Koftas in it and are served with Kachalu chutney.

Advice to foreigners. Don’t even try it unless you want to experience the backside of Space Shuttle rockets. You can ask for normal, non-spicy chole.

This place is a must visit for all street food junkies.

A little difficult to locate as it is in a narrow bylane. It is next to LIC Building.

No place to sit and eat. Enjoy it standing.

Do not expect a polished and refined place. It is a street food place, you will have to stand and eat here. Hygiene may be a bit of a problem here. It is not advertised openly, you'll have to ask the people around and walk till there (no space for cars). It is priced aptly and the chole bhature were yummy. The koftas that they serve is unique. I have not seen it anywhere else. So I would like to recommend it to everyone.

Fan girlll.

Food: I’ve tried their chola bhature and matar kulcha. Both are to die for. So much so that one time I go I like one better and second time the other. I’d say try both. You could opt for 1 bhatura if the full is too much for you. Also, this ain’t for the people who like chopped tomato and onion in matar kulcha BUT still tryyy and you’ll drool over and over. Matar is high on spices and is cooked to perfection. Everything is.

Service: Perfectly priced but reach in time because mostly they’re sold out by 4pm.

Quick tip: Reaching the place could be troublesome but park right in front of janpath market and asking a couple of people will navigate you through easily.

Hog and happy tummy!

I've been to this places 4 years before and last week got a chance to visit this place once again and the trip was totally worth it.

Well the purpose of my visit was to shoot a lip smacking video for my youtube family (you can find me on youtube : Being Voyager).

The place is located in the street (gully) opposite to tamasha at CP. Its been there for over 70 years and serves chole bhature, chole chawal, chole kulche at cheap prices. The outlet opens at 8am in the morning and serves parathas at that time. The timing on zomato is incorrect. Also the closing time is dependant on the food left or not (depicts the popularity of this place!)

I ordered 1 full plate chole bhature for a price of Rs. 60. It comprised of chole, kachaalu, onion and 2 bhaturas. Was sufficient for a single person.

Note:  If you ask them to make spicy then your pants will be on fire, cos the people of old delhi are famous for their incredibly spicy taste.
Since i don't prefer spicy food so I placed my request before them and received accordingly.

Verdict: It's a definite pick. Must visit!
Ambiance: Not succumbed to this rating
Food: 4.5/5 (Chole can be worked upon)
Service: 5/5 (Prompt)
Hygiene: 4/5
Value for money : 5/5 (The only place in CP that serves you at such cheap prices)

Bhogal Choley Bhaturey Wala is fairly popular in CP, and anyone who relishes street food should try its different and difficult-to-get-your-hands-off Choley Bhaturey. As it is located after taking a couple of turns in a lane in Scindia House, one may have to ask people for directions on reaching the Scindia House Road.

The outlet is more of a shack-like structure than a shop, where you would find business in full swing during the afternoon. With people huddled up around the seller, he fries Bhaturas and serves them at a commendable speed.

At a price of Rs. 60 per plate, these Bhaturas sit feather light on your pocket, no matter how heavy they sit in your stomach. :D They have a fairly good size and are more than enough as a meal for 1 person. Also, they are neither very oily nor rubbery. Coming to the Choley, they are one of the best that I have had, with the 2-3 pakoras in them setting them a class apart. Kept with the choley on one side is raw onion and Kachalu mix, which has its own distinct tangy taste. All in all, a complete package.

Apart from the bhaturas, Bhogal also serves Choley Kulchey, but it’s the Bhaturas that would make you come back.

5/5 for the bhaturas. 3/5 for the location.

Well being a Delhiite it’s a regular to have Chhole Bhature for breakfast and I have literally had it at all the popular ones and I was so surprised to have missed out on this spot unless I saw some cool reviews here on Zomato. It’s no doubt quiet unique as they serve your chole with a kofta in it which is v tasty. It’s in a small ally when you take a left from ccd after crossing tribhuvandas jewellers. In fact it has become so popular now that they have put a board also there. It’s a small shop with a few standing counters but they will properly pack it in a container in case you wanna have it in your car which we did. So when in CP do try this little hidden gem

Good place for lunch. Chhole bhature and kulche are much famous here.

In the main items there are chole bhature, mattere kulche and Chole rice.

Chole served here r differently prepared in comparison with the other chole bhature counters in Delhi. Hear serving of chole contains Kachaloo chutney, Kofta along with Chole. Style of serving the food is traditional.

Maitri kulcha are also very traditionally served. Masala used to make Matri is as per the choice, high or low. Use of traditional method to mix the masalas with Maitri reminds the days of childhood. . Quantity is good enough to enjoy the meal.

This is more than few decade old eatery, The Bhogal CholeWala. I couldn't handcuff myself for even a month and visited this holy place of Choley Bhature and Choley Kulche located in the heart of Connaught Place behind Scindhia House.

Finding this place, easily, is seriously an uphill task but when you have connections with FW team, no food place can be a secret. Better be connected, if not😘😘😛😛 #kk

Savoured the over-spicy, mouth-watering and lip-smacking Choley with crisp and fluffy bhatuas. And now with a full confidence, I could say that the Choley was equally eye-watering along with being mouth-watering😂😂. Chana/ Choley Kulche were tempting and delicious as well with old school boiled potato wedges in choley. Without any doubt both the items, I tried, were smashingly hit.

However, unfortunately, I wasn't offered the rice with shahi paneer gravy as it was all over by the time I reached there. Though, this gives me a rational motive to visit this place again thereby, once again enjoy the full of spicy chole and chanas.

Guys, if you are fond of this roadside northern Indian delicacy then please visit this place and scarf out your spicy desire.....🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶

Bhogal Ke Chole Bhature in Janpath is a culinary haven for everyone who works around CP and Janpath. On a cold winter afternoon, when your stomach is churning and you really want to eat something heavy, you can totally get yourself a plate of that succulent chole bhature and feel good for the rest of the day!

Heavenly Flavours
A plate full of Bhogal Ke Chole Bhature in Janpath is the best choice you will make this winter. The true desi flavours that melt in your mouth with every bite will fuel your day to be a good one. The little shop serves the plate full of chole bhature with a spicy kachalu salad and onions on the side. In its entirety, the whole meal brings together all the desi flavours that you have loved since childhood.

“Naam Hi Kafi Hai”

The little shop is very famous, especially amongst the working professionals whose offices are lined up near Barakhamba Road. All you have to do is reach the road and ask people. It’s a hidden gem that’s been serving the young and old souls of Janpath and Delhi at large.

Yumm yumm... The awesome place to have perfect chole bature. The chole was served with kofta which is adding more taste to it. The bature's are fluffy and crunchy served with Aam pickle. Although the place is a hidden gem in cp.. I did a lot of efforts to find to it but finally found it. I did lunch there, the place was full with officers and employees . They had other options like chole chawal and chole kulche etc. Must try place .

I was in Janpath last week and heard of someone famously serving chole bhature and rice. Wanted to try it but could not able to locate. Yesterday I finally figured it out. The place is in a gali. Open kind of shop. Ordered a plate of chola bhature. It was piping hot and the chole along with pickle and manchurian and onion made it special. Bhature was thick but good. Overall good place to have it. Mind it, you have to stand and eat like a roadside thing. But definitely you can visit multiple times.

A hidden gem to the truest sense, bhogal Chhole bhature in Connaught Place is one of of the best places to have these heavenly fried goodness. Located behind scindhia house, it's a bit difficult to locate but an absolute treasure with spicy Chhole given with pakoras.

I went here for a lunch around noon. Place was buzzing with people from offices and others on 3 4 tables kept around. We ordered plates of cholle bhature. The owners were very humble in serving. A plate full of cholle with gheeye ka Kofta, aloo and topped with onions was served with a pair of dark golden fluffy bhature on dried leaf plate.
The cholle were simply delectable. Light and spicy. Kofta was soft. Bhature were dripping in oil. They seemed quite heavy while eating.
The place definitely deserves a try.

A nice & different version of Chole Bhature. The bhature are nice, chunky and fluffy. The chole are more like a homely sabzi served with two koftas and some pyaaz and kachalu ki chutney on the side. Very good !! I personally like the dark, spicy and rustic version of chola though but this definitely was a different yet nice flavour profile. A very popular place always buzzing with people - definitely worth a try !! 👍

Undoubtedly one of the best chhole bhature joints in the capital city. They stuff their bhature with paneer and fry until crisp and golden brown. The chhole were mixed with veg kofta with complementary appetisers (onion and chutney). Tried their mutter kulche as well which was an ok experience. Do try their main dish though for which they are famous. Light on the pocket and friendly service.

Food - 9/10
Value for Money - 11/10
Service - 10/10
Ambience - 10/10 (Enough space around to stand and eat, the way street delicacies should be eaten.)

A pretty new concept to serve chole with dry kofta instead of aloo which is served everywhere. An innovative old shop which serves kach aloo instead of pickle which gives a wonderful taste. A worth trying dish.

This place is located behind Scindia house and you may ask anyone there for this place. The place is very old and in a gully.
The cost of chhole bhature is just Rs. 55.
Serving is fast here and no sitting arrangement.
The Bhatures are very thick but soft and fluffy and taste good.
The chholeys are spicy and served with chutney, kofta and kachalu which enhance the overall flavour. Overall it tastes good and all should try it once, you will love these.

I was searching this place as have heard about it a lot. Hard to find using google map so better to ask locals, which will guide you. Reached around 3:30 pm it was still open as Google was showing it is close. So don't trust technology much.

The place has no sitting arrangement and I believe it will hard to eat in summers as the place is in open. Ordered one plate chole Bhature which cost around 55 rs.

Chole was topped with Ghiya ka kofta and Kachalu ( tasteless - it supposed to be spicy but it was not). Didn't like the ghiya like kofte much as in my chole I like my chole only.

The Bhature was too oily get it replaced twice still it was dripping in oil and I was told that it will go away as the time passes. Which I didn't believe.

A very famous overhyped old shop surely the chole is good, do try once if you are around.

Shop timing - 10 am to 3:30-4 pm.

Saw lots of reels and videos about this place and on a Saturday morning went to this place. They have a very simple setup nothing fancy. Just a person making bhature, the other serving chole with kofte on a plate with onions and achaar. The other makes chole kulche and the uncle at the cash counter gives tokens. They have lassis also which can be a perfect combination for some people. I recommend this place to you guys to try it once.

Overrated. The chole are like aaloo chole sabzi which is tasty...but the bhature are very thick. Generally we presume bhature to be round like a balloon but it's not the case here....their bhature are thick....a lot of maida inside. In summers it's going to be very sweaty here...so prefer during winters here. I have four stars because of chole sabzi and pickle. ₹85 for one plate is justifiable. I also had mango lassi which was delicious it's a must try.

It is undoubtedly one of its prized creations. This is quite a old outlet offering Chholey Bhathure, Lassi, Chhole Kulchey , etc. The taste of their food is good and tipical Street food. There is no sitting here and you need to eat while standing. They have some tables on which we can keep our plates and eat comfortably while standing Service is prompt. Don't expect much from atmosphere since it's a street food stall. Taste wise it is very nice and nicely made. Cost wise it is value for money. One plate chole Bhathure costs rs 85 only. Their Bhathure are quite fluffy and one plate is enough to satisfy hunger of an average human.

First of all ...The Chole Bhature were fckin delicious...Chole were spicy and had that Achari taste even when you are not eating pickle with them Bhature were heavy they were not like filled up with air they were actually thick and 3 are more than enough to fill your stomach cause I hadn't eaten anything since waking up and went there after hanging out for 2 3 hrs and oh boy were they enough for me or what. You hardly have to wait 5 minutes to get your food. They also have different range of Lassi and all of them refreshes you. Their Mango Lassi is a must try. Atmosphere isn't like any other famous food place ..it is situated deep under the streets and it was hard to find them without asking the locals....But their location just gives you that authentic old school vibe which is fabulous. 85 For two Chole bhatures is worth every penny.

This is an iconic and very famous outlet for chhole bhature in this part of Delhi (Connaught Place area). It has a long history. It is located behind Scindia House or block. From CP go either on Scindia house side on Janpath road or Kasturba Gandhi marg, and take first lane circling Scindia house. Just walk a bit further and ask for Bhogal chhole bhature. It is further inside few metres and not visible from the lane so please ask. It is worth a visit for sure. Only standing eating arrangement, basic but tasty food and lassi. Chhole bhature - very good, chhole cooked differently with kachalu etc and I liked it. Friends say kulcha matar is also very good and so is chhole rice. Lassi too was very popular with people when I went there. Hygiene wise it leaves lot more to be desired but given the price and iconic history of this place, worth a visit and repeat visit for sure! Strongly recommended
