Awesome dhamaka alu...must try. I have been eating this dish since many years. Best dish. ........,rest of the food also good. Do try dhamaka aloo
Located at a prime location, this restaurant will not disappoint you a bit. The food tastes really good and the staff here is very pleasant and friendly as if being served by butler. Haven’t been there for a while now after my workplace shifted from Okhla to Gurgaon. Chicken wings and chicken kali mirch tikka are one the best starters served here. I would recommend this place for a nice chilled beer with chicken wings or kali mirch tikka.
Loved this place. Great ambience, good and cooperative staff.
I Ordered non-vegetarian platter. Fish was fresh and soft, and kababs were too good.
Could not resist myself from ordering reshmi kababs.
I loved the food here when I went there for the first two times, but my visit to this place last week was slightly disappointing. The chicken was hard and dry. But I am guessing it was just an accident. It still remains one of my go to places when I crave for some good Indian food.
Dawat Khana
One of the best and I would say hidden gems in Delhi, Dawat Khana is owned by Bhai Upinder Singh of the famed Bhai family who owns Hotel President and whose restaurant Tandoor has been known for decades as a great Indian food place. Tandoor is now closed but Bhai Upinder carried the recipes and created Dawat Khana.
I have been eating at Dawat Khana for the last 20 years and I can confidently say that their Mutton Patiala is one of the best mutton dishes in NCR. This is boneless mutton in toothpicks sandwiched between slices of ginger and an amazing curry. This dish goes best with their own version of Bakarkhani Roti.
I also enjoy their Kadhai Chicken and an array of Kebabs favourite being Lehsuni Kebab and Chicken Malai Kebab.
This is a highly recommended place and you must go for their Mutton Patiala with Bakarkhani Roti and Sirka Pyaaz.
We ordered chicken sashlik platter and evrything single thing in it was so tasty....they have stopped their chinese menu...i dont have any idea y but they were actually famous for their north indian foods..the platter had dal.makhani chicken sashlik kabab, raita and roti...roti was soft as well as chicken was tender and juicy
This is the best place of mughlai cuisine..and also very expensive restaurant.. Reshmi kababs is best dish they serve..
The mutton korma is also nice but not that much tasty..
Quality of food is good, you will like the ambience..
The way of serving food is good..
I really like seating area. I order veg meal its was very nice preparation I loved the all food it's was owsome definitely come soon my first time but now I m a regular
Great food, good ambience, really helpful staff. Must try- mutton seekh, chicken tikka and bakarkhani. The prices could be a bit less but overall experience exceeded expectations. Cheers!

Good food and awesome place to hangout with friends. Little bit expensive but worth it. Love the butter chicken, kandhari chicken and buttery soft naan.
Always been a fan of this place. The best Indian around our area and consistent since forever. The staff is old, polite and recognize the customers always
In this world of pomp and show, this place reminds you of simplicity. It is a dhaba style restaurant with traditional and tasty food in quite affordable prices. Services are pretty quick . Alcohol is readily available and inexpensive too. I see no point in not visiting here again. 😛 Cheers !
this place is very old and famous.we ordered in After recommendation from a very dear friend. their Dhamaka Aloo is no doubt good. but definitely oily.their chilly chicken is nice but again oily. maybe not a good option for home delivery, but would definitely try dine in at some point of time.
This place is a must visit! Amazing food and service. Must try the tandoori dishes they are fantastic and the roghan josh is the best i have had in a long time.

A Decent Place with Good food..!!
The new Constructed ambience is pretty good
The food is not much spicy as required !!
Starters are not good..tried paneer tikka and was ok ok..not good not bad & the salt was less in it..!!
Overall Experience-6/10
Good place to dine, the food quality was very good and the staff was very nice and courteous. The order delivery was quick. The ambience was good with good music. One can go out and enjoy food here.
A very good restaurant for rare and tasty food ..... the ambience is very good and the food is also tasty but the only thing was that it is a little expensive .....
The superb taste of Mutton Afgani Gosh will bound you to go here again and again. With the new looks and pleasant interior you will love to visit the restaurant.
great food , good ambience nice stunning décor we ordered reshmi kabab it was juicy never had before famous for kebabslocated in new friends colony
it is one of my favorite restaurants and i like it a lot, i go there almost every weekend because my father loves me a lot , i will never get fed up of this place even when i start going on my own
The ambience and decor of the place is nice and appealing. They serve reasonably fair tasting food. Tandoori salad and butter paneer is a recommended option for vegetarians.
I feel though NFC is one of the most talked about locations in Delhi..but we have limited options to sit and dine ..most of the places are the ones to grab a quick bite. Well this place is a bit different ..you can actually sit back, realx and have good food in solace. Coming down to food in particular, we had a mix experience...though the food was ok to good but we ended up paying a big cheque. I won't say that the place is very pricey, probably it was our choice that inflated the bill..Food as i said...moderate..fine tasting and well brought up flavours..with what choices we have in NFC ..the place scores well..
I go here often because our office is near NFC. We often drop by after work, and have a quick drink. I love this place, but it is born of familiarity.
Decor: Your usual table-chair set up. Some random Spanish paintings on the wall. Music is usually Hindi film stuff, often older stuff. The staff are obliging about changing the volume. The AC is usually set to high so it is quite cold in there. Dim lighting.
Crowd: Mostly local and office going. Rarely, families. Tired looking, middle aged men in crumpled white shirts, talking about the state of the economy and cricket.
Service: Just excellent. The waiters have been around for a while. They remember returning clients and their preferences. They're obliging about little things. They're friendly but not overbearing.
Food: Run of the mill Indian/Chinese. Avoid the Chinese. My advice is if you're drinking, go with the fries (basic, home made, chaat masala) or the masala peanuts or papad. If you're eating, the boneless chicken curry and rice are your best options.
Bar Menu: Standard. Sometimes they run out of varieties of beer, especially on Fridays. If you ask nicely, they'll serve you a pot of very decent black coffee, to which you can add whisky or rum - excellent for winters.
Hygiene: Rather clean. No issues there. The washroom at the back is also fairly clean. My friends tell me that occasionally, they'll find some random guy in the women's bathroom (it is situated near the exit of the matter) but the guy will scurry away. Tell the staff and they take action at once.
All in all, it is a decent, quiet place to go to, for a relaxed evening drink. Nothing special or fussy, but comfortable and efficient. I would recommend it.
Nice mughlai food ,decent ambience and reasonable prices. One of the few family restaurant in NFC
Love the Indian food, the grilled dishes are just delicious but service was below par. Ambiance is average too..
Dawat khana has a good barbeque selection. I was over the moon when I ordered some of their kababs with my blender`s pride, mazza aa gaya - kabab-e-khaas, afghani kabab, chicken hariyali and galafi kabab - all complemented my drink wonderfully. The mutton patiala (see, even for dinner, I need my patiala!) with naan was also good. Cheers!
One of the Best Missi Roti in Delhi... Vinegar Onions were good....
Had Yellow Dal...its OK... Pudhina Gobhi should b removed from the Menu.... Jeera Allu was good....
Toilet is out of Restaurant premises...
Ambiance was good but you'll only get limited variety of food and drinks.
Enjoyed a light evening meal, simple and tasty vegetarian options, plenty of options for carnivores too. The food was as plentiful as it was tasty and reasonably priced. Another bonus given the area is that the beer is also very reasonably priced too!
The gents serving were very friendly pleasant, polite and helpful. The restaurant was really quite busy and had a good atmosphere, not sure they need the large screen TV showing random channels though.
An enjoyable experience and I will certainly be back next time I am in the area.
If you want the taste of authentic Indian Food, served in perfect quarters, Dawat Khana fits that bill. They also have seafood options on their menu, and the Chinese food {although completely unauthentic}, is surprisingly good. They also serve alcohol and have happy hours.
I have been here a few times for office lunches. The food is good and the quiet ambience is convenient for official meetings. The staff is very courteous. The only drawback is that their menu options are limited for mocktails and desserts.
We have good experienced of this restaurant, myself with my friend visited this place and ordered veg and non veg food, we have totally satisfy with food taste and service. You can also enjoy the alcohol drinks here at mini bar inside the restaurant.
Safety recommendation : Please avoid the restroom it was not safe and outside the restaurant which have another access by outsider.
Located in the district centre of new friends colony commonly called NFC is the restaurant Dawat Khana. This market is well visited during the lunch time by the offices around as well as from nearby Okhla. Evening time is family time for the sorrounding localities. The restaurant also has a bar well stocked with local and imported favourite drinks. Food menu is elaborate and reasonably priced. Service is quick and warm. Taste is good. It's a good restaurant to visit in case you are in the area and intend to eat out.
Amazing Punjabi decor. One of my favorite places to visit while I was back in college. Used to have a very attractive 1+1 offer on alcohol... Maybe they will reintroduce it if many people ask for it... Persistently...
Good but could be much better taste wise. I had to order something quickly but wont be judgemental about the overall experience. Absolutely a family outing option that is easy to drive to with parking options.
Nice place to eat. Ambience is good. Service could be better as the restrautant has too many customers and few servers. The seating arrangements are good too. I would visit the restrautant once again as it was worth it.
Had daal makhani and paneer mushroom taka tak here.. Paneer dish was very good, lip smacking and unique.. Dal makhni was ok ok.. Tried pudina parantha, i didn't get any flavor of pudina In it and it was hard to eat.. Lachha parantha and garlic naan were also hard and difficult to chew.. But their butter naan was too good and so soft,, never had such a soft butter naan anywhere ever
Nice restaurant. A bit expensive compared to others. Good food though - tasty mint paratha, pickles.
Food is average, service is very slow. There are far better options nearby and which has value for money
The ambience is nice to go with family or for couples. The food was amazing (and reasonable price) and the service is really good
Smallish place, ambience is okayish, food is quite fab but stay away from the tandoori rotis, too dry. Maybe go for the kulcha or naans.
Very tasty food. Busy place. Conjusted
