My all time favourite place for Dosa
They serve amazing masala dosa
The taste is so amazing that I do visit this place once in a month just to have their amazing masala dosa and the best part is you can have as much sambhar as you want to without any extra cost
A pure vegetarian restaurant and definitely the best place to have south indian food! They have a wide variety of amazing dosas that you won't be able to find anywhere around!! My favourite being paneer dosa, rawa dosa and onion masala dosaa!! Their Chinese is good as well! Been there for more than a dozen of times and have never been disappointed!!
This is the best authentic udupi cuisine i ever had. Service is up to the mark and food(south indian) is just finger licking. They serve north indian as well but south indian is their speciality.Plus the open terrace seating takes my heart .
I went for dinner with my family the restaurant is good and very clean. as you enter the place the decoration is great. I ordered paneer dosa it was very tasty and lots of ghee was there in the paneer masala. filter coffee is always the best in as it is a south Indian restaurant. you should surely visit this place at night for dinner as the lights look very beautiful.
Decided to visit this place for it's open air seating arrangement. We ordered veg noodles, onion masala dosa and lemon soda. Everything was good in taste. Overall, had a pleasant experience here. A must try place.
Easily the best restaurant in New Delhi , if I could give them more stars I would give them all the stars in the Galaxy
Dahi Vada and Mysore Dosa (with a dallop of white butter), tasted amazing!
Best experience ever š
The Best South Indian food šš
Best South Indian restaurant in Delhi for sure they serve hot and so many chutney, as well as free extra sambhar and raita as well.
It's a nice place to have south indian taste. They have north indian dishes but it's famous for Dosa. The place was hygienic and service was also good.
Tried Mysore masala dosa here. Absolutely delicious. The Vadas also are huge and the right mix of crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside.
The best place to get homely South Indian Food. Their snack items and sweets are amazing and the Chinese is good as well. A bit expensive though.
Dining here was such a pleasant experience. I love the way up to the restaurant - itās reminiscent of some quaint hill station cafĆ©. The open-air area really makes it a great place for summer evenings. Thereās a large seating area which is open while they also have a closed space inside. The food is delectable. We tried their rasam, onion butter masala dosa and Mysore dosa. All of them were fantastic and so was their lime soda. The staff is polite. I totally recommend this place.
If you want to eat best South Indian in Delhi you will always choose this place..very nice food very good taste of every thing....i ate there Rawa masala dosa which is so nice and there were two chutneys served by them coconut chutney was very delicious and good sambhar.. I love that place
If you are a south indian foods fan you must try having food in here it is one of the most renounced and budget friendly outlet. I love having dahi vadaĀ and dosa they even serve Chinese in here.
Masala dosa is one of the best in Delhi. The ingredients used are very rich. I personally recommend this restaurant for south Indian dishes and remember quantity is more than enough for one person.
They serve the best south indian food around this area . Like if you are living near about vasant kunj and munirka you definitely need to visit. And the north indian food over there is no less.
1. Utthapam - the best.. its size is sufficient to have it as a full course meal.
2. Masala Dosa - the best tasting dosa.
3. South indian special thali - it is more thanenough for two person to have a complete dinner.
4. Chhole bhature - north indian food is also as amazing as others.
Visited this place for the normal south Indian delicacies during our Delhi ..dosa, uttapam and wadas.. As usual loved them..it was a regular place of visit during my JNU days.. A pocket friendly place with good food.. There are two sections..indoor and outdoor..i would give a 4/5 on taste and value for money..service would be 3.5 and ambience is 3 :)
Delivery - 5/5
Quality - 5/5
Quantity- 5/5
I ordered masala dosa and idli sambhar.
One of the best masala dosa i have ever had in south delhi.
Pure south indian taste .
Sambhar was exceptionally good.
Quantity was more than enough for one person
Idly was great. Size of idly was big enough.
Tomato chutney is must try.
Do you want to have the best south Indian food? This is the place (the other one being sarvana bhawan). Firstly, you have outdoor as well as indoor sitting area but nothing fancy. Simple in it's setting, this place will serve you the best south Indian delicacies. They have the best dosas and uttapams. The rasam is like a cherry on the cake. Secondly, the menu has everything you would have imagined. Thirdly, the staff is really quick and courteous too. This place is a must try.
I usually go there for South Indian food it is my favourite place . The place was good and the food was nice , thaali , rawa masala dosa Uthappam Gilab jamun my favourite food . It is one of my favourite place for south Indiana sitting is also very nice , the outside area is my favourite. šš»šš»
It's a nice restaurant, ideal for people with families. It is over a terrace with a nice breeze flowing through the place. South Indian food is of good quality, cannot comment on other cuisines as I've never tried them. Can get a little expensive though but staff is polite and preparation is fast.
To day I am visiting for this outlet amazing roof top nice ambience great staff and the food was to testy like thali noodles juice sweet totally all is Amazing place
Pocket friendly and tasty stuff
At peak hours the delivery may get slow but the food is like awesome and the paneer dosa is worth having.
I really enjoyed the slide for kids there when i was 7
There is much more fun there than you think of.
Hey foodies,,
I wish if could rate more than 5* to thus place.
An amazing south indian restaurant, which nit only offers delicious south food but their North Indian food is equally taste delicious.
All time favourite is their Cholle Bhature.
Yummmyyy cannot resist .
Including Rava Dosa, their Dal Makahni
Always amazes you.
Must visit place guys
Especially when weather us pleasant and you get chance to sit outdoor.
Service is fast and supportive
Good luck Udipi team.
South Indian food is very nice , they maintain quality and Hygein.. Also, they have north Indian food .. thaliās of both the cusines is a must try ! Price is little high for idly and vada ! @guruprasad Udupi

Best dosas at affordable price. Sambhar, tomato and coconut chutney with rayta adds to the taste...Additional 10% discount for jnu students too!
Some places never age, in this world of fast changing restaurant preferences this ageless wonder seems to be in top, same decor , same quality food, same ok waiters and same value for money, it cost just 582 for a meal for four. The damn thing is exactly the same from the last 25 years that I have known it from.
Dal makhani is a must try here.
Dahi vadas are sweet and delightful.
I have been having food from here since my childhood.
South Indian is my all time favourite.
This is a very popular and old restaurant in the Munirka area. The main attraction is the rooftop open air sitting that they offer. I used to come here during my childhood, and visited again last week.
They have an open kitchen, so you can be sure about the cleanliness. In general also the place is neat and clean.
The staff, I will rate 7/10.
Coming to food, I think it's good, but not exceptional. They offer multiple cuisines. We had masala dosa this time, which tasted good, though I would say I have had better.
Overall a nice place.
Hi everyone!!
This restaurant is one of the top 5 south indian restaurant in delhi. I really love the food here. It is definitely a must try restaurant, and all those lovers of South Indian cuisine this place is a good choice!!

It's way better than the Overrated Sarvana Bhawan where one has to stand in a long queue for thier turn to come. It's a great place to have South Indian food. Quality of food is great. They have inside as well as outdoor seating. The staff behavior is also very good.
Nice place to get togeather with family, this was our first visit ambience was nice, I feel like I am at hill station
Masala dosa: 5*
Plain dosa :5*
Vada :5*
Veg Thai :5*
Drink and service 5*
Over all experience was amazing will be back again for sure. Must visit the place.....
Have been here twice and yes, I can definitely visit them multiple times, perhaps! A quite little place in between a busy Munirka market, a narrow staircase would lead you to this land of delight. I have tried their butter onion masala dosa and their butter masala dosa. Splendid! Could be a difficulty to finish it of course, as it's as a lot for one person. But you will certainly regret leaving even a tiny bit of it on your plate!
Awesome South Indian food with rapid pace service. Masala dosa and dal makhni are a must to try out @Udupi. If lucky would be getting parking just below the restaurant
Ordered mysore masala dosa and onion, tomato uttapam.

South Indian food with an open terrace. My favourites are rava paneer dosa and mysore paneer dosa. Every time I go there, I have these two items. Have also tried their uttapam and idli. But best different varieties of paneer dosa.
This place has been dishing out some great food for the last 30 years or so! One of the best and also the cheapest places to have South Indian food in South Delhi. Must visit spot if you love South Indian food.
A Very good place for vegetarians and a must visit place for south indian food lovers! You can enjoy your meal on an open terrace too and the staff is also good i liked their spring rolls aswell noodles was not that good but otherwise all other meal was worth trying and dosas are amazing south indian food is amazing .. their presentation is poor .restaurant equipments are a big turn off.. otherwise a good place to eat.
Today visited a healthy and nice cozy place complemented with great food. We had masala dosa, paneer masala dosa and uttpam finger licking good enjoyed it alot soon to visit again
Authentic udupi cuisine food. I loved the varieties of dosas. Must try coconut dosa. Also thali is full of south delicacy. Located near the Capital court, Munirka.
Good food..slightly expensive for South Indian though..ambience is like a regular restaurant...nothing fancy..food is very good. Love their tomato chutney particularly !
Had the best experience here! They serve amazing and authentic South Indian delicacies. I love the food here even though Iām not a fan of South Indian cuisine.
A decent joint offering good authentic south-indian food. Their service is good both for dining in or home delivery. Food is finger- licking good and is relished by all irrespective of an age group.
Have had great South Indian food here. Itās a pretty old restaurant which serves some amazing authentic South Indian food.
Love the butter masala dosa, lemon rice and their proper South Indian meals over there.
Also, I truly love the Rasam that they serve with every dish. Itās delicious and authentic
Best family restaurant in my opinion Value for money good staff tasty food ac rooms option plus open dine facility with clean washroom and lots of facilities
This place could also be rated a 4.5. Located practically 5 minutes walk from my university, this is the place to go to for affordable and delicious South Indian food, which tastes comforting and light, a respite from the other rich eating out options. Udupi is our salvation on days we don't want to eat hostel food but also do not want to spend an arm and leg on take-out! We've tried multiple dosas, and our favourite is the Butter Masala Dosa with a dollop of delicious white butter on the top of the otherwise light and filling dosa. Mysore Masala Dosa is also lovely, as is their Paneer Dosa. Dairy products are lovely, the milkshakes and lassi and buttermilk great refreshers on hot days. The small thali is also nice and rather large for a single person to finish! Their quantity is perfect according to their prices. Also, surprisingly, they have a delicious Chholey Bhature here, with the chholey tasting divine mixed with the block of paneer they serve on top! Perfect for quick, light, yet satisfying meals.
It's been almost 20 years. My family has been eating from here and I would say not one day I went back unsatisfied home. Known for it's South Indian food ,this restaurant also serves North Indian and Chinese food.
It has a pretty zig zag upstairs entry and swing for little kids. Also it has different eating areas. One section indoor ,one outdoor , one near the rooftop where you can see the whole view.
Coming to the food. I just loves it's rava paneer masala dosa, Mix uthapam, chole bhature, gravy Manchurian and chowmein and all the North India n food also tastes good. In short everything is amazing and hygienic.
Something that make it different from other south Indian restaurants is it's quantity of sambhar. They don't charge for extra sambhar. And have great chutneys.
I love it overall. You can go for family dinners.
I would really recommend this place.
Place :3.5/5
Food: 5/5
Servicing :4.7/5
So I went with my family to have dinner here and we order rava masala dosa and Mix Beg Uttpam. The food was pretty good and perfect for a family plus the ambience and staff service is pretty decent. Only one negative point I.e. the price is pretty down the hill slope. But I guess it is one of the best place to have south indian in Delhi, so it is pretty much worth it.
I was told by one of my riding buddies that this is one of the old restaurants in Delhi to serve south Indian cuisine and opens up pretty early for a Sunday morning. So we decided to head here for a breakfast and ordered a buttermilk, upma, masala dosa and dahi vada. Everything was very fresh, especially upma and dahi vada. Definitely worth going to for a good south Indian meal.
P.S: Prices are on a steeper side though for a south Indian meal.
South indian delight with specialty in rava paneer dosa, onion rava masala dosa and paneer masala dosa amongst others.
Basically south indian items are safe and tasty
They also have a north indian customers ordering chole bhature which are spicy yet tad bit on the oilier side.
Overall very good value for money.
Though avoid weekend evenings and monday as it is overcrowded and service suffers ,sambhar is thinned, and sometimes people complained of stomach upsets on mondays maybe the leftover of sunday .
So weekdays guys are your best bet.
When they serve it fresh its one if the best south Indian restaurants in the Capital competing with navaidyum (similar priced) ,karnataka bhawan(lower prices) and
Sarvannah bhawan (less oil and on the simpler side)
Overall 4/5 - for lovely weekdays.
Had mysore masala dosa and paneer masala dosa...yummy it was....and also tried the cold coffee with ice cream...the taste was up to the expectation
I was having a pretty bad day so far, until I realized that Iām in South Delhi and can definitely make my day by hopping on to my fav joint, which is situated in not-so-popular market & even lesser known by its name, in Delhi. While taking the steps to the joint , it just struck me that whatās the thing that links north Indians to south Indians, and indeed, the answer was right in front of meāāitās south Indian food. We, North Indians are really fond of Idlis, Dosas, Uthapams and the like. In a city like Delhi, one can find southy food in every nook & corner, any street you name would have a southy eat corner. So, I wondered what is it that makes this restaurant so different from others and found that it is theĀ SimplicityĀ of this place. Itās aura, warmth, and most importantly, the food that makes it stand apart. Iāve been coming to this restaurant from past 22 years now, and believe me, there hasnāt been any bad thing about it, till date. The chefs have never failed to astonish me with their state-of-the-art culinary skills.
Their āSouth Indian Thaliā is to die for. And if you wanna have Delhiās best Avial, u can get it in Tuesday Dinner and Sunday Lunch. The subzis you would hate eating at home, would indulge you into Gluttony here. The moment you enter the premises, the fragrance of filter coffee, rasam, yummy food, fills your mouth & makes you impatient to the core. By the time order arrives, Appalams are the best way to satiate your senses. The place becomes a delectable joint, for the reason that even North Indian food is more than fantastic, the desi Chinese can beat any mainland joint. North Indian should not be disappointed as the place offers equally tasteful north Indian cuisine too, starting from Chaat items to lip smacking Chhole Bhature, to butter filled Dal makhni, to the most unthoughful dish, Shabnam curry and ending it with super delicious Kulfi Faluda.
Udupi to me what FREDDYās is to Frank Underwood from the famous American web series House of Cards- just my Kinda place for best southy food. I tell you, y you shouldnāt give it a miss:
Surprisingly reasonable
Few dishes are unlimited in quantity
Super tasty north Indian, Chinese options available
Prompt service
Simple place, exactly for non-pretentious peeps
Next time youāre close to the place, do try it!! Until then, Eat, travel, sleep Repeat!!!

Ambience-9/10
Service-7/10
Taste-8/10
PocketFriendly-9/10

Udupi is nationwide spread and a perfect place to have a mealš. My family constantly visit there every now and then due to more of the reasons I can state. The peaceful varanda type scene or the classic under the roof place, Udupi here does it all. The evergreen thali is the star š of the show. It is a must visit restaurant and enjoy the time being there.šš
It Is A amazing place for south Indian foodies and a great place to go with family. The service was good and the quality of food is super good. You should seriously check out this place šā¤ My personal Favourite Was #PaneerMasaladosa šš„
Located near south campus this place is known for its south indian delicacyās and it is best if you are running low on budget everything is simple and sober with highly courteous staff which are present on your single call . It contains an open terrace for outdoor seating during the evening .
I have been a regular customer there for nearly an year or so
Things which you should try are :-
Masala dosa
Rava dosa
North indian fried rice
Idli
I m visiting this place from past 4years and I really like the south Indian food , you can visit this place for breakfast or dinner .
Must try dishes ..
Masala Dosa
Maysoor masala Dosa
Filter coffee.
Great restaurant which still lives up to the name it has build up over the years . Authentic South Indian taste customised for the North Indian Palette. Masala Dosa was super crispy with spicy and well blended masala stuffing. The Sambar , Chutney (2 types) and Dahi Raita made fabulous combination .
The Paneer in the paneer dosa was fresh like real paneer and not the formula paneer that you get elsewhere in Delhi . The deserts in the end will satiate you to the full.
Real quick and fast services . Prices may appear little bit on higher side but is truly reasonable if you get the quality of taste and authenticity of the ingredients in this price .
I loved it and would like to visit this place many more times in the future.
Pure veg Family restaurant famous for South Indian food. Serves North Indian and Chinese as well. Has both indoor and outdoor seating. Service is good
Today me and my office colleagues did lunch here and we ordered Crispy chilly potato, Uttapam with Sambhar coconut chutney, idli, Medu vada and choley bhture. Crispy chilly potato was so tasty. Uttapam taste was amazing. Choley bhture was so heavy. Service is so good. Whole atmosphere is so nice. I like this place.
Best restaurant for South Indian food. They also offer Chinese and North Indian options but you will surely enjoy the wide options of dosa. There's always a rush and you need to wait for your turn. Best food at affordable prices. Must try.
Udupi Restaurant in South Delhi offers authentic and delicious south indian cuisine, featuring a wide range of vegetarian dishes such as dosas, idlis, and more. The restaurant provides a satisfying dining experience with its flavorful offerings and welcoming ambiance.
Everything I liked there, south Indian food I tested first time there, every Item comparatively was good hygienic and testy as per my experience with other restaurents even tested there chinese was good too, price wise moderate. Over all good exeperience.
This is a good place to have a South Indian breakfast. Their idli and Vada combo was great. They give coconut chatni, some onion raita and tasty sambhar with it.
Their dosa is not good. It is just like a dosa from any roadside dosa joint. Tamilnadu House canteen and Sarvana Bhawan give far better dosas.
The place has washrooms and is at the Munirka community centre top floor.
Went there after 25 years with college friends and surprise to see same udipi after such a long gap. When iwas in pharmacy college I used to go there with friends and after such a long time we met again there nice to see no changes
The butter masala dosa was great
But the chinese dishes were not that good
I had singapuri noodles but that were somehow dry
Otherwise the place is a must visit for all south indian food lovers.
Should improve their service nd don't let customers waiting ( the restaurant was slightly expensive too )
My favourite go to place for south indian food anytime for sure.
Great restaurant which still lives up to the name .
Authentic South Indian taste customised for the North Indian Palette.
Masala Dosa was super crispy and well blended masala stuffing.
The Sambar is authentic and Chutney is really delicious unlike other outlets around delhi
Real quick and fast services . Prices truly reasonable if you get the quality of taste and authenticity of the ingredients in this price .
Guru Prasad Udupi Restaurant is located in Munirka market at Main Outer Ring Road near Foot Over Bridge in Munirka Market Delhi. Munirka Metro Station is also very close to the place. The entire restaurant is on the first floor with seating arrangements in two a/c halls and open roof as well . They serve basically south Indian cuisine which tastes well. The ambience is neat clean and pleasant.
Not a fan of south food i really liked there dishes specially i likha upma And dosa really good Taste whoever Want to eat Try their special dishes really like it
In my past 4 years of Delhi life, today is my first visit to this place.
I have been here many times, I couldnāt locate this South Indian Dish palace..
The lovers of South Indian dishes can must visit this restaurant. Definitely they like a mostā¦
Has an open terrace, so real good for summers. Food was good, staff were nice. Tried the South Indian dishes. 320 for my meal. ā Fair Warning : This place is a more family oriented spot, so will have lots of kids.
for someone whoās greatly inexperienced in south indian cuisine, i had a great time dining at this wonderful restaurant. from the moment we were seated at our place, the atmosphere was lively and inviting. the servers were very attentive and friendly. the food was to die for and we ordered much more than we could eat but that wasnt a problem as they offered to pack it all up for us. wonderful place to visit. would highly recommend.
Have been visiting this restaurant for the last 40 years though in last few years less frequently. Enjoyed having lunch on the terrace on the last afternoon of 2021 Makki ki roti and sarsoan ka saag a North Indian delicacy enjoyed best in winters followed by filter coffee
The slide in the photos shared has great memories of our daughters when they were small
The restaurant serves North Indian South Indian and Chinese good prices are reasonable service efficient food great the open terrace is added attraction in winter afternoons and summer evenings it has two air conditioned halls and one non ac covered hall too
Nice south indian restaurant. Tasty food. Good management and an excellent seating capacity. Price is little high. Near to roadside, so there is no one face any transportation difficulties but limited parking area.
