I went to the Jahangeer with my friend, it was the very first time I went to this place. The place was very clean and the quality of the food provided was satisfactory. We ordered Chicken Korma, Rumali Roti and Kheer. And its worth of the the time and money I have spend here for the food, the food was great, delicious and very aromatic. We did really enjoyed the meal here in this place.
Famous for mutton nihari & mutton korma
Great biryani and chicken tikka with less oil and great taste. Fish tikka and khamiri roti were also good.
Food is amazing and the staff is very good and if you wanna go try afternoon otherwise they have rush and waiting list at night
i have eaten in this restaurant 30-40 times
Superb food, hidden jewel.. Better than some highly overrated mughlai food places in old delhi. Stew is wowsome, kebabs are excellent. By far the best kheer, subtle flavours, perfect sweetness, and consistency. Pure taste. Loved it.
So i visited jahangeer foods on this monday during ramdan month and i had my best chicken changezi in my life perfect spices perfect place to have chicken š go out with your friends and enjoy guysš
If you like going places for food and won't mind something that's very basic, this place is worth a shot. It's not a fancy place but had exceptional food. We had Biryani, Korma and Murrom Kebabs. The food is exceptional. It was a bit spicy but not intolerable. Would certainly visit this place again. The kebabs, specially very juicy and flavorful.
Amazing food... Simply loved it.. great quality good service. Their chicken Biryani is one of the best and so are the chicken lollipop and fried fish surmai and chicken roll and mutton roll.. their different types of curries are great too.
This place is known for it's authentic Mughlai food . They specialise in non veg starters and main course as well. They serve nice fish fry, chicken š and mutton Nihari etc. Although not great ambience but service is quick and Fast.
Located just opposite the old delhi food market.
Decent place if you want to avoid the rush of old delhi food joints.
Went their to give it a try nd it was decent.
Service is good, overall hygiene of the place ws good staff is friendly.
Taste was not that much good but it was fresh nd acceptable.
We ordered chicken korma,
Mutton stew with khamiri rotis.
Nothing too good, nothing bad.
There is absolutely nothing that I don't like about this restaurant. Its an absolute gem of Purani Dilli. Its neat and clean and suitable for families as well. From the Biryani, fried chicken to their kebabs everything is delicious. But my absolute favorite is their Kulhad Kheer, it is just perfect (not too sweet also).
One of the best place to have good non veg at very genuine price. Almost tried all the dishes there as I am a frequent visitor but mutton & chicken nihari are their speciality. They also served the paratha which is a bit sweet in taste and hence add to the taste. Overall a genuine place for worth of each penny. Must visit place!
Very delicious food!! A must visit for the people who love and are looking for non vegitarian food! Polite staff. A good experience over all!
I have heard alot about this. I ordered chicken biryani, it was perfectly cooked and chicken was also properly marinated. We also ordered chicken qorma which was also amazing. Khameeri roti is really special here. There food is amazing but service is bit slow as the place is mostly overcrowded. But you must try chicken biryaani and chicken qorma.
First of all the staff is well mannered and polite.
I tried butter chicken tikka which was awesome and shami kabab which was tempting too. Would soon visit to try their other items too.
When you're in Old Delhi you have so many options but if you're looking for a clean and nice place to enjoy the Indian food then you can visit this place. Anyone can easily find out Jahangeer foods in Old Delhi. They serves some lip-smacking Indian dishes. Staff is good. Service is also good.
We ordered butter chicken with kameeri roti and Lachcha paratha( higly recommended) everything tastes so good
Value for money 4/5
Taste 4/5
This is the first review i am writing ever on zomato. I use to study at delhi around 5 years ago. And this spot is our all time favourite. I havenāt got its substitute by now. The best place.
P.s: i am a vegetarian. This place may be famous for non-veg food. But veg. Food is also awesome.
Have been to this place now 3-4 times and the food quality has never disappointed. Mutton nihari, tandoori chicken and khameri roti are worth a try. Ambience although not that great.
This is a great place for mughlao food,go there is you like authentic mughlai. Chicken nihari, tikkas & korma are all good. Must visit for purani dilli food. Will be a good ex
I ordered tandoori chicken and changezi chicken
Food was awesome.
Good ambience and it also has place to sit
Good place to hangout with friends at night time
If you are in delhi-6 and in love of mughlai food this is the place to come. They have varieties of chicken with delicious taste, specially their chicken korma, best to eat with khamiri roti. You can try biryani also but it was not up to the mark according to their chicken dishes. The must try product is their kullad kheer, just wow with a creamy layer upside and smooth inside with lots of dryfruits. Complete mughlai restaurant, avoid to go if you have vegetarian friend together.
it is my favourite place to have mutton nihaari . once a month but every month. i go there to have mutton nihaari , mutton burra , chicken kabab , chicken lollipop . but special is mutton nihaari with khamiri roti
Its one of the best restaurant in daryaganj with nice staff and quick service .. they have amazing food menu... I ordered mutton biryani. Believe me it was so amazing and delicious.
I literally loved each and everything
My experience was good
Will visit you again š
If you're looking for a place where you can taste mughlai food then it is one of the best place in our old Delhi. Service was excellent Ambience quiet nice and the food 10/10 and also affordable they can not charge any tax it's a tax free bill
Try their nihari mutton and any other mughlai item. Its better than nazeer but their ambience or cleanliness is not so good. Waiters are bit rude too. They just need to improve these two things for their betterment in future. Thanks
This restaurant has the best Biryani in Delhi NCR. You will also love the chicken lollipops. One must eat here when in daryaganj. Changeezi chicken with khamiri roti is awesome.
Nearest metro station in Jama Masjid.
Great food and service, the only downside to this great restaurant is that its so small, and gets really crowded, other then that its a great place to have good food. Try the chicken stew,Ā it's really delicious
good services food waz tasty and very nice to me... staff is polite and i wz got fresh food even biryani rice is so nice nd fragrant.... even in old delhi there is so many different kinds of restaurants 4 non vegetarians but thisrestaurants jhangeer's food was awesome..... will try again n again........ i gv 5/5 as a chef to this restaurant..... from my side.
My experice has always been delicious at Jahangir, tried a lot from their menu but never got disappointed. And still feels very low on your pocket. What i would advice u is to not try any vegetarian item herešonce i ordered paneer roll, it was so dry and a big one that i could not even finish it. Must try Chicken Nihari, korma, changezi & tandoor items.
A great place to go with friends when you are craving non veg cuisines. I was recommended this place by a friends and turned out to be a great place overall. The food was not only delicious but the service was great too. Reasonable pricing too.
Had been to this place two times. Small place with nice quiet ambience. The staff is very friendly and gave good recommendation. We had mutton burrah, shahi paneer, mutton qorma, chicken biryani, laccha Parantha and khameeri roti. Mutton burrah was good but a tad bit overdone. The paneer was really good and this words are coming from a hardcore non-veg guy. The qorma was tasty. The biryani was aromatic and awesome. The chicken pieces were falling off the bone. The breads were good too especially the khameeri roti. Would definitely recommend this place.
Mutton shami kebab is just awesome. The biryani is decent. In daryaganj, in this area it is one of the clean and hygienic restaurants one can see. Service is quick.
Jahangeer this restaurant is in corner of stating daryaganj ... I had tired chicken lollipop and chicken thika ... If i will talk abou the taste so that was realy so nice but chicken tikka is bit costly here like i have ordered half chicken tikka ans thet servers 6 pieces of of small size of chicken ... But taste is lil different from ordee that is gud part if it
This place is very clean. It also has delicious food and the service is awesome (even though there's a wait at weekend sometimes). Can always find something filling and delicious.
Everything here is absolutely amazing. The flavours were so powerful that I didn't want to mix my food so I could enjoy the flavors of each dish individually. A must when in the area.

We've been visiting this place from the past 2 years and it was our 3rd visit to this restaurant in this year. If you wish to have the BEST Mughlai food in town, we would suggest you to visit this place. Although each and every dish in their menu is worth tasting, but some of their sumptuous and renowned dishes are :
Motton Barra
Mutton Seekh kabab roll
Chicken tikka butter
Mutton Shami kahab
Mutton Korma
Mutton Nihari
Chicken Stew.
And in breads you must order Lacha prantha and khameeri roti.
A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED place for all the non- veg lovers. Worth splurging your money.ā¤ļø
I love this place a lot just for 2 things
1) Mutton Nihari
2) Chicken Stew I think they are worth eating here rest all food is also good .
Must go ā¤ļø
jahangeer's are serving the best food to eat in old delhi. Their ambience is good and the food quality is fabulous and i recommend all of you to muat taste the cicken changezi over there .
this is my absolute favourite joint for non veg. I have been going to this place since ages and trust me this place never ages. i have tried their chicken nihari, chicken korma, galauti kebab and chicken lollipop and chicken tikka makhanavala. in short i have tried everything that this offers. trust me you will thank me later for refering this place to you.
a must visit place.
Was recommended this restaurant by a colleague and so impressed.Ā
Good food and location.
We will be back and a good place to eat.
The staff was polite and service was quick.
Been eating from this outlet from quite a long time .It's my favorite outlet after karim's that serves the best mughali foof in delhi
Things to try :-
ā¢Chicken Biryani
ā¢Tandoori Fish
ā¢Chicken Korma
These are the best things to try at this outlet you won't be disappointed for sureš
One best place to have mughlai food... Had been at Jahangeer couple of times and loved the food always. If one needs to have Mutton Nihari in the evening then this is the place. Chicken changezi, mutton korma, chicken nihari, sheermal are awesome. They have same consistency and taste as always. The service is quite prompt and expect a gud rush in the evening.

Jahangeer Foods is quite popular in the masses. I have heard a lot about this place. I went here to have a late lunch as I was around and had no idea about it. Ordered quite light and the sitting area was vacant. It's on the main road and easily accessible.
The food is good here. I had Mutton Biryani, Chicken Korma with the Tandoori Roti served with the Chutney and Pyaaz. Chicken Korma was good and we finished in a hurry. It was good in my opinion, can be tried.
Reasonable Price, tasty food.
I tried Chicken Nahari and Afghani at Jahangeer foods and I found it totally worthy.Daryaganj has many food jewels in which Jahangeer foods has its own taste. Try once if you guys in Daryaganj Next time.
This is the second time I visited Jahangeer Foods in Daryaganj and as luck would have it, with the exact same people; after a gap of 2 years. The food here is one of the best Mughlai foods I've had in Delhi, which is saying something because (don't hate me for this), Delhi DOES NOT have great Mughlai food. I've had Mughlai food in a number of cities in U.P. and Delhi just does not measure up. It is also super easy on the pockets. Most dishes are in the range of ā¹ 200 to ā¹400. On that note....
Food:
Recommended: Mutton Nihari and Kheer (absolute must), Chicken Lollipop and Mutton Barra (if one wants to have good, not great, starters)
Food is very good. One of the best parts is that most dishes come in 'half'. Makes it so much easier to be able to order many dishes and taste them.
The Mutton Barra is quite nice. Not the best I've tasted in my life, but one of the better ones in Delhi. Seekh kababs are a big disappointment. They aren't tasty or soft and the texture is quite rubbery. A miss. Chicken lollipops is quite nice. They're crispy on the outside, chicken is soft, juicy and the spice combination is just right. One excellent thing that me and my discerning companions discussed was that the best part of the lollipops, was that the chicken pieces were small in size with not too big a chunk of chicken on the bone. The reason a lot of chicken lollipops be it Indian style or Indo-Chinese, fail, are that they add such big pieces or chunks of chicken to the bone and it results in the chicken being uncooked or not properly roasted, many times. Jahangeer's lollipops were cooked to the bone.
The Khamiri roti here is quite nice too. It's not as heavenly as that of Al Nawaaz in Zakir Nagar, but it's certainly nice.
Now for my favourites...
Mutton Nihari: Even though I'm one of the believers that Nihari tastes it's actual best in buff meat, but considering the current scenario, where even what citizens choose to eat has become a state sanctioned propoganda, I'll happily choose any red meat Nihari. Jahangeer's Nihari is the best I've tasted in Delhi. Nihari is my bestest (for food sometimes you've to go beyond the correct lexicon), most favourite food and since I've come to Delhi, I've been on a quest to find atleast good, if not great, Nihari. The meat is so succulent, the gravy is so smooth, the flavours come together so wonderfully, that they undo me. Of course they come swimming in dalda or some other trans fat. All in all, a wonderful dish.
Kheer: The best I've ever had. It's not the typical kheer that we're used to. It's more like Phirni and Mishti Doi had a gorgeous baby. It's served cold in a tiny earthen pot/ matki, which always makes anything taste better. IT IS SUBLIME. IT IS A THING OF BEAUTY. I can go all the way to Jahangeer, just to eat this and savour it very, very, very slowly, till it is unfortunately over. Sigh....
Ambience: Actually Jahangeer Foods is one of the myriad eating joints of it's kind in Old Delhi that shouldn't be judged on their ambience because there's no concept of ambience. It's a tall, narrow building with separate sections for men and family (men & women). Congested seating area with small deli style tables and spindly chairs. WARNING: The staircase is so narrow and steep that it can be a hazard for anyone. However, the promise of good food makes many risk it and totter up the stairs. If you're one of those who turn up their nose at dirty surroundings and non classy things, Jahangeer is not for you.
Service: Service is very quick. It's a detached, rushed on the feet kind of service, but one doesn't come here to be waited upon. They have a very limited menu and food is served very quickly.
Jahangeer Foods does not have a restroom; even the market around does not look as if it has a clean restroom for women.
Amazing place to have a perfect non veg meal. Has indoor seating option and fast service. Their chicken stew and sheermal are good thing to try. Located in Daryaganj, old Delhi with normal rate. Should definitely try it.
My visit to Delhi without posting a review of this place will be incomplete. Has decent seating arrangement but the taste of food is there main concentration.
Ordered Mutton Nihari and Butter Chicken wherein the Mutton Nihari was just amazing and above expectations but Butter Chicken was overpriced but may be in Delhi the prices are in that range when compared to my place(Hyderabad).
Last but not the least the stairs are way too disastrous! Itās not for old age people. Hope it grows big and renovates!
Good place to eat. I had mutton Nihari, mutton korma and shami kebab. Shami kebab was ok, the flavour was not up to the mark but Nihari and korma was really good. Staff was nice and lastly, khameeri roti was soft and properly cooked.
Strategically located at Asif Ali Road saves you time and trouble for driving upto Jama Masjid
It has two level of seating arrangements, first floor for single guys and level above for families
We tried mutton shami and they were cooked to perfection, next was chicken quorma and mutton nihari, sans the extra gallon of oil it was served with, it strikes perfect balance between spices and tenderness of the meat, along with was crispy khameeri roti, later arrived biryani which was not one bit good, rice were bit undercooked and it lacked any character, dinner at old delhi are incomplete without firni and this outlet does have good firni
The outlet doesn't put any taxes on the bill, not even GST
for Affordable delicious food with family and friends A must visit
Everything is Quite good
Just near to jama masjid walking distance only
For the best Butter chicken This is the right place !!
I had heard a lot about this place from my friends so we decided to go over there specially to have food from Jahangeer.
We ordered- Mutton Shami Kebab, Tandoori Butter Chicken and their much famed Mutton Nihari. Shami Kebabs were very good in taste and tender. Tandoori was also very well cooked, excessive butyer pounded on it which could have been less. Mutton Nihaari was also all about ghee but the flavours were pretty normal.@
I did not find anything out of the world, but it was nothing bad with food, maybe expectations were higher. The pricing is also quite normal, which should not be an issue.
Cheers š»
Such a hidden gem. We went there few days back after getting recommendations from few friends and Everyone seemed so right about this place.
Nothing to talk about the ambience but the food here was one of the best I ever had. Everyone should definitely try the Chicken stew and Mutton Burra. Both the dishes were so flavourful and perfect spice level too. Quick service as well.
We will go again for sure
Good food at pocket friendly price in a clean place. Itās obviously isnāt a fine dine but for its location and price its maintained quite well. Ordered chicken korma, tandoori chicken butter, lachcha parantha, chicken biryani and khamiri roti (all under 900). All turned out good, particularly the butter dahi sauce left in tandori chicken butter. Surely worth going. Will visit again. Recommended.
Well tried few things here, Shammi kabab , chicken seekh and mutton barra. The best was
Mutton burra, it was full of flavours and nicely prepared . The Shammi kabab was ok , soft and was pretty basic. Chicken seekh was above avg.
I went here for the very first time. I heard about this restaurant many times but finally today I got chance to try it. Here I ordered chicken nihari, chicken biryani and khameeri roti. Everything tastes awsome and very authentic! And it's not even expensive . It's a must try place.
Late Eid celebration, as there was Eid on Saturday,
I planned a little food hunting trip to purni Delhi to try some authentic mughlai food.
Where :Jahangeer Foods, daryaganj.
I Have been there quite a few times and will definitely be coming back for sure.
Tried and tasted : Mutton Nihari, khameeri roti (in picture), Chicken Nihari, Mutton and Chicken Korma, Biryani both chicken and Mutton.
Taste,
Every single dish there is cooked to perfection and with lots of ghee , Chicken and Mutton is to die for, its so soft will definitely melt in your mouth and the flavors are just amazing you could taste different spices in both Korma and in Nihari, and khameeri roti just blend that taste together.
Biryani is not amazing but flavorful it depends on your taste.
Ambiance there is typical purni delhi vala, service is quick, they have separate siting for family on second floor and a friendly staff.
Overall I will rate my experience a 4/5
For regular updates follow the_hungry_column@instagram.com

It's a small joint in darya gang and like most places there have an awesome muglai cuisine ,try there nihari items and after that the khere is really fulfilling
I have been going there since FRIED CHICKEN was on the menu in 2010. And it looks like it was yesterday when I rode to it from gurgaon to daryaganj having no GPS phone at that time. But it was worth.
Giving 4.5 because they removed fried chicken from the menu and replaced it with lollipop. I have to eat it sometimes from the road shop beside the masjid gate.
I never went to karim till I have been here almost every month or so. I thought I should try karim, but was back to jahageer because of good staff and awesome food. I had order almost all non-veg thing on their menu except fish.
Must be eaten:
Chicken nihari
Chicen korma
Biryani
Mutton korma
Khamiri roti
Stew are not upto mark and even I make better than them.
Once had sheermal, but I dont like sweets so didnt like it much though it was very good.
People, if you are tired of Karim's hype then try this place.Ā
They are at least someone who are still putting their hearts in preparing food and giving it a genuine essence of real mughlai taste. Honestly, lovely food.Ā
Enjoyed their chicken biryani. Better than that tasteless karim one I recently had.Ā
Excellent chicken korma.
So tender and mouth melting mutton shami kabab.Ā
The place has no washroom so go with that in mind. The sitting is a little cramped but the ACs work great. Not complaining but just pointing it and it's not wise to complaint about these things with the quality of food at this price. :)
Mughlai Foodā¤
If you're searching real mughlai taste and dishes so must go there and try the Chicken barrah, Shami kababs,Fish Tikka, Chicken Tikka..
The location is not so good but
You People will love this place because of food
Love the food!
Love the restaurant!
Dishes are very cheap to buy!
If you go there, please buy only chicken dish!
And also I love their chicken jahangeer!
Jahangeer has some awesome perfectly cooked recepies..
Mutton Nihari was simply awesome. Very tender and perfectly cooked with a great taste. It Goes perfect with Khameri ... which is always fresh prepared on being ordered.
Chicken / Mutton Sheek kabab with some extra Butter is again a lips smacking preparation of Jahangeer.
Chicken lollypop was a better than average other shops.
They have a very Quick and effective staff service. This place has many competitor in the market. But they always have an upper hand in comparison to others. The best part is they are clean, awesome tasty food and a great cost effective restaurant.
This is one of the most talked about and recommend place in old Delhi, specially for its chicken and mutton nihari (and they do not disappoint). This is easy to find but hard to reach. Just follow the maps till you are nearby and they look around. They don't have any big hoarding or anything but you'll probably find it by the crowd gathered (and saying that in Dariyaganj is a complement itself).
There was no such ambience to the place as i opted for the take away option. But the sheer aroma of the food was breathtaking. I had to stand a few steps back just to control my hunger.
Coming to food, I ordered chicken nihari and chicken stew. The smell again was fantastic. Chicken stew was nice but the nihari stole the show. Very very nice, I am not a big nihari fan but this was exceptional. Fantastic job.
Overall a legandary place in old Delhi and nihari is a must try here.
P.S. - Check their opening times as I don't know the timings and went a little early. Had to wait 15-20 min to get my order.
Restaurant was great. Ambience was good. Ordered Chicken Lollipop, Mutton Korma and Mutton Nihari. Lollipop was not upto the mark. Korma tasted very good but was full of oil. The Nihari was the best among them all. Also the khamiri roti was very good.
Slow service but good staff!
Tried their Chicken Biryani, Mutton Nihari, Fried Chicken Lollipop!
Biryani was no different from that of Dil Pasand Biryani, Al-Jawahar & Karim's!
Mutton Nihari was just amazing! It was properly cooked and mutton was unexpectedly soft!
Fried Chicken Lollipop was just out of the world!
They serve nice Mughlai food.Ā
I tried theirĀ
1. chicken llollipopĀ which wasn't good it was just friend and nothing was authentic in this.Ā
2. Chicken Korma- It was really good but the gravy was drenched in oil this was accompanied with khambeerĀ roti.
4 stars instead of 5 due to the ambience. Server is attentive and courteous too. Food is excellent and served hot. Server recommended chicken stew which was delicious. Waiting time is short too. Will definitely come back with friends.
Authentic mughlai food. Could not find a better place for mutton burrah and mutton nahari. Khamiri roti is equally good. Mutton biryani was not available, so we tried chicken biryani, which was OK. Not really a place for biryani.
Located in Daryaganj, this is a wonderful place for all the Non-Vegetarian Lovers. Seating is a bit conjusted despite two floors and it's almost full. Service is very quick. We ordered Mutton Biryani which was as good as it can get and Afghani Chicken served with a gravy of makkhan and ghee. It was served piping hot. This place never disappoints.
Jahangeer is a outstanding nonveg restaurant located in Darya ganj. Ambience is simple but 5 marks for cleanliness. I had here mutton nihari with plain roti. The taste was finger licking good. Very juicy mutton pieces. The prices are very reasonable for the quality they offer.
Located in the heart of Delhi, near Chandni Chowk amid all the hustle bustle of Daryaganj.
This place is a hidden gem.Jahangeer has a limited menu as compared to other good restaurants but it surely is among the best.
I ordered chicken tikka dry, chicken roll and chicken biryani.
The sitting is upstairs and its pretty basic with no fancy lights,no fancy tables and all.
You will find the place to be crowded during late evening.
The service is a little slow but the food is definitely worth the wait. The chicken tikka was served with onions, chutney and masala sprinkled on it.
It was as juicy as it gets and as soft as you would have tasted.
The chicken roll was also good. The only let-down being the chapatti rolled over the tikka. It was a bit crisp and hard to chew.
If you visit the place then you ought to have its Chicken Biryani.Freshly prepared and it completely sells out in a matter of minutes. The biryani here is excellent-from the rice grains,to the chicken pieces to the spices.
A must visit place if you are in Old Delhi.
A friend told me about this place and we decided to check it out along with a few other friends who had come down specially from Chandigarh to have good Dilli ka Khana.
It is a very average looking old Delhi kind of place with a separate sitting for families ( if you have a girl with you) and a separate one for men. We were obviously escorted to the family section. We were 10 of us and ordered separate dishes. I have mentioned the 3 dishes that I absolutely loved and still dream about when i am really hungry
1. Mutton Korma- The best I have ever had. The meat slipped from the bone and was very juicy and tender. It has an authentic taste to it and you could actually make out the time and effort that would have been put in making it. It was oily so we separated the oil before we started to eat. We paired it with their delicious Khameeri roti and it was not at all heavy. Usually i am full after 1 khameeri roti but i could not stop myself from eating more. The food was super fresh and did not give the heavy feeling one usually has after eating Mughlai food. It was perfectly spiced and i dont think they could have made it any better.
2. Chicken tikka butter masala: This was a semi gravy dish that i suggest having with rumali roti. Its just like you get at Aslam's near jama masjid. It's chicken tikka in a gravy made of curd, butter, and lemon. Its is deliciously tangy and the taste lingers on. You just cant stop yourself from eating more. It is very buttery but i dont mind the calories for a taste like that. All in all a must eat.
3. Chicken/mutton nihari- nihari is something that is cooked overnight and it tastes absolutely fantabulous. It tastes amazing with khameeri, tandoori, or roomali roti. Its tasted magical. You could taste all the ingredients individually and yet it was a superb amalgamation of all spices and fresh meat.
I would highly recomment this place for people who would like to taste authentic mughlai food. Please note that the food is oily so dont be scared and just scoop out the oil and move forward in the journey of a delicious foodgasm.
Value for money restaurant for sure. Ambiance is not at all appealing but food is mind boggling and the rates are out of this world ( so affordable). Try chicken nahari and you will get addicted for sure. Service is pathetic but food is yumeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Might be located in an unhygienic location of Dariya Ganj. But The food will will take you places. The Best mixture of spices in the most economic stage is here. I Don't have special recommendations. Just Eat what you want. You won't be disappointed.
100 Times better than the KAREEM'S whose only reputation is that they are related to mughals.
Nice experience:
Went for official lunch and ordered Mutton korma, mutton nihari and butter chicken. Except butter chicken both dishes are awesome. Everybody loved Korma.
Location - not convenient
Parking - almost impossible to get in the afternoon
Seating and ambience - typical old Delhi.
Food - Amazing ! The starters are delicious ...chicken lollipop a must try here . Chicken and fish tikka are also good.
Do try their chicken nihari , with khamiri roti.
Phirini ( probably the only sweet dish they have ) served in kullad gives your tongue that last bit of satisfaction that you need.
Amazing place to visit. I had fried chicken as snacks. Which was awesome in taste. Then we ordered chicken stew, mutton biryani and ramali roti. All dishes were yummy..very economical in price...pure mughlai taste..service was also quick...need to increase the varieties only....must visit place in old delhi...
Best chicken fry i ever had. I used to visit this restaurant very frequently when i was in delhi. Came here after years and was really happy to experience the same quality and taste maintained. Recommended for sure.
Old Delhi offered many food joints for delicious flavour, this is one of them.
Good food and good non veg items. Separate Section is available for families and they have come a long way in terms of service, serving and atmosphere. Well there is always room for improvement.
This place serves authentic mughlai food and has an advantage of being in old Delhi yet saving you from going all the way to the crowded part of jama Masjid to polish your taste buds .
We took chicken changezi, mutton nihari and khameeri roti
Prices are slightly high for the qty but taste is good
I loved their chicken changezi and rotis were soft too
Nihari personally I don't like but my husband liked it a lot.
It is situated in the main road near red fort. The food is Halal and very delicious as well! We had ordered the chicken and mutton biriyani, along with their most famous chicken lollipop and chicken seekh kebabs soaked in yogurt sauce!. The food was so delicious and highly recommend to try the chicken lollipop!! It's too good. The service was very nice. Will definitely try again and recommend to all!
It is located at a walking distance to Jama Masjid Metro station. Seating is on 1st and 2nd floor. Its a small restaurant.
I has chicken changezi and khamiri roti. The chicken was good. The gravy was thick and full of flavours as it should be. Khamiri roti was also good.
It was clean, service was good and fast. Price is also decent.
Must try
Food is yum.. heaven for non-vegetarians. Only set back is the rush and traffic nearby. It is based on the intersection of lal kila, dariyaganj, chandani chowk and what not. Avoid weekends, as it is overly crowded because of the market. Though u can try ur luck on Sunday as chadani chowk gets partially closed this day.
Went for dinner .. along with a friend who suggested that it is a hidden gem... apart from the famous names of Jama masjid..
Really ..had mutton kebab, mutton nihari ...very delicious with subtle spices...
Kebabs was not overly burdened with butter like other famous kebab joint nearby ( you know who )..
Keep it up that way jahangeer foods..
Jahangeer Foods offers you a relatively less diverse (letās say more focused on specialties) menu. But a few items that they specialize in are indeed delectable.
Tandoori and Mughlai dishes like Mutton Burra, Chiken Lollipop, and Quorma are all a must-try.
The restaurant is comparatively less specious and the staircase is a little too steep. But itās all worth it for the tastes they serve you with.
Great food great taste but a bit expensive.
The food was simply heavenly! If you love Mughlai dishes then this place is a must visit and make sure to have the right company to enhance your experience.
Just call ahead of time once to ensure that their restaurant has started dine-in services. We got lucky as they had just finished cleaning and we got seats so double-check!
Jahangeer Foods has a small menu and they make sure to maintain the quality. Far more my favourites are Chicken lollipop, and mutton Nahari. The biryani is equally good.
One of the good places to eat at in Jama Masjid area. Great Mutton nihari, butter chicken. Tandoori Butter chicken is a must try when in Delhi 6 and this is one of the best. They have a sitting area upstairs for families and one separate area for bachelors. Both are air conditioned and decently hygienic as per that area's standards. Located right at the corner on the main road, can easily be noticed from a moving car.
Very authentic food. Canāt explain that taste . The best place in delhi to have chicken with old mughals taste . Reasonable prices with proper sitting . Their chicken is too good . Highly recommend this place if you want to eat light flavours of real chicken . Canāt get over it
Really one of the better moghlai choices in India. The items tasted were great and enjoyed a lot
