Had a very good experience at one of my favourite eateries in Daryaganj. The service was very good and quick.i liked dal makhni and butter naan very much.
This ace is located near my house and serves very good north indian food. Their paneer items are really good. Also, the aloo dum is very tasty
One of my favourite places for a good North Indian meal. Their dal Makhni, paneer Lababdaar and Aloo dum are too good. Also, must try the khasta roti here
Had a really good experience here. The service was so good and the food was very taste. Paneer lababdaar, dal makhni and khasta roti we're favourite.
The best north Indian food in daryaganj. Their shahi paneer and aloo dum are bestsellers and rightly so. Very quick service and decent portions.
Their Pudina Paneer is just awesome. One of my all time favourite dish. The ambience is like a dhabha shop. So dont except a good ambience. Pack the Pudina paneer and Chole (ask for less spice) and enjoy the indulging dishes at the comfort of your home!
The food is irresistable...dal makhni, malai kofta, mirch parantha, naan all are great and are a must try...
But the ambience not good as the seating is not comfy and lack of space...
Though ambience is not good but food is Excellent. All dishes especially Sp Dal Makhni, Kadhai Paneer, Paneer Bhurji and Malai Kofta are ireestible. Their Naans are quite big and very filling and Tasty. A must try for vegetarians.
Sugandh is one of the best Vegetarian restaurant in old town of delhi i.e daryaganj
It has almost been decade that this outlet is serving lip smacking vegetarian food and Quality and taste of food is finger licking
Must try
Dal makhani sugandh special
Paneer punjabi
Paneer bhurji
Mirchi prantha
Butter naan
Some of the best tastes you can get in vegetarian dishes in Delhi is here. They don't have too much seating space but food is just fabulous. It's a hidden gem, I must say. They only use Amul butter.
This has been our regular choice for lunch whenever we have guests at our office, our fixed order is dal makhani and Shahi paneer, the stuffed kulcha is decent too although they should call it stuffed naan not kulcha
Its value for money, the service is quick and the food is extremely delicious! I have been having their food for the past ten years and the quality has been maintained throughout. Keep it up.
Sugandh is a great place to have a decent family dinner. I've been living in daryganj since my childhood and sugandh is my spot to have a family dinner. The food is creamy, spicy, 'masaledar', and super tasty.
Shahi paneer, paneer butter masala and dum aaloo are the best dishes of sugandh. Sugandh makes a special roti called khasta roti which is a must try. Soft and perfectly cooked naan breads tastes best with the above mentioned dishes and pepsi.
If someone is near daryaganj and hungry then do visit sugandh and cherish the taste with every bite.
Hands down, this place serves the best Dal Makhni and Mirchi Parantha in town.
Have been a regular visitor for a decade now and the quality as well as the taste has remained consistent.
The portions are adequate and the service is efficient.
Though, all the items on the menu are delicious, My favourite are Shahi Paneer, Choley, Dal Makhni and of course the Mirchi Parantha.
Great food for the a family dinner and its have a very good Delivery option so that we can enjoy at home. Dal is just awesome i love the kali dal
Been here for dinner during navratras but it was not disappointing at all. Infact, one of the best pure vegetarian places I have been to.
We took Dal Makhni, Paneer do Pyaza and Kadhai paneer along with Dhaniya parantha which is a must to eat and lacha parantha with few butter nans.
Food was amazing and we relished it till the last bite. Just that food was little oily but the taste was heavenly.
Must try for vegans around. 👍🏻
Conjusted. But once you are adjusted, you can look forward to a treat - Dal Makhani and Kadai Paneer. Their tandoori roti are made out of fresh atta and super soft - you really dont get such Atta rotis anymore.
Must Have's: Dal Makhani, Kadhai Paneer
Beautiful memories of my articleship attached with these two places sugandh and suvidha. A small dhaba like eatery but very high standards of taste.
One of the places which stand in consistent quality and taste. Its knows for its Dal Makhni and still I find it as the Best Dal Makhni in Delhi. You really must savor each bite by taking your time and you will really will love the complexity of the flavours and the combination they bring to you. Fabulous restaurant! Life time experience. Best dining experience and most delicious food ever.
Known for its rich food heritage from past 30 years. A must visit place.

Located on Ansari road is this small dhaba serving some lip smacking vegetarian food since ages. I've been eating their food since my childhood and the taste still remans same. Their chhole is the tastiest of all the dishes. Dal makhani is also very good.
A must try place.
delicious curries served with india's best crispy red naan here at affordable rates.

Yet another fantastic place in Daryaganj to have vegetarian North Indian food. With its affordable rates and a commendable food quality, Sugandh is one of those really good food joints of Daryaganj that never disappoints when it comes to food. Although the varieties that they offer is not that elaborate, whatever confined menu it place has, it will never ditch you with any of its preparations. Had gone to Daryaganj for some and decided to get something packed from here on my way back.
Ordered the following items-
Mushroom Matar- Served in decent portions and tastes amazing with rice.
Paneer Tikka Masala- The gravy was properly spiced and the paneer pieces were soft and tender.
Dal Makhani- Had a mildly spiced thick buttery gravy, tasted really good.
That was all that I had and as usual, their food was appetizing and tasty.
Next time when you are near the Daryaganj area and crave for some desi North Indian food, do pay Sugandh a visit.

Although when you compare the variety of North Indian dishes offered by Sugandh to any other North Indian restaurant that you might have visited, you will find that this place certainly falls short but if you compare the food quality, I guess Sugandh has great potentials to supersede most of its competitors. Be it their affordable rates or their palatable food items, this place leaves no stone unturned into making their customers eating experience a delightful one.
Went here a few days ago and placed a takeaway order for the following-
Mushroom Mutter- Had just the authentic ghar wala taste and hence was an enjoyable one to have.
Mix Vegetable- Neither too oily nor too spicy. Tasted delectable.
Paneer Bhurji- Nicely cooked in desi flavors and masalas and hence tasted delicious.
That was all that I had from Sugandh and no wonder it gave a pleasurable eating experience.
Next time when you feel like having the ‘maa ke haath ka khaana’, do consider this place as it certainly a hit!

Have ordered multiple times from here while growing up in that area. Ordered again on my recent visit and the quality was maintained. They are in one of the very competitive streets of darya ganj, but they fair really well. I haven't seen them in limelight, but they are worthy of it!
I have only visited this place twice but the taste and flavour of the food is something you can't forget. Me and my friend order paneer do pyaza and dal makhani accompanied by stuffed naan everything was amazing .The only regret is that we were not able to get Malai kofta (the signature dish) as it was finished last night .....damn...i have to visit again
Kadhi rice of this place is great ...have tried most of the Indian food items here ...kadhi rice are classic dish they have ..food quality n taste both perfect ::
Been there many times . One of the best in this area for veg food. best dish is paneer tikka masala with pudina paratha . Do try if you can .
Sugandh is a restaurant which is very famous in Darya Ganj , it has sitting arrangement for 10-15 people with AC and serves delicious food
Dal makhni is a must try

A favorite typical north Indian restaurant, eating here since child hood.
They make very authentic paneer tikka, rich thick cubes of paneer, decently marinated and roasted upto the perfection in clay oven by covering the top of tandoor.
Dal makhani and butter nan undoubtedly the best in daryaganj (vegetarian restaurants).
Other good things are paneer butter masala and kadhai paneer.
Stuffed nan and kulcha are also good.
Reasonable prices, good in quantity and quality.
A small eatery with very good north Indian cuisine. Dal makhni and karahi paneer are absolute killers. Do try the mirchi paranthas also. A little rustic interiors though. Expect to be greeted by an army of stray dogs who are lying there all the time. Only if the owners take care of this menace at their doorstep, otherwise the food is just awesome.
Located on the main ansari Road, near gali no 3 and adjacent to HDFC bank, It is a small family run dhaba just 300 meters from my office and is the first choice for lunch at office whenever I don't bring in my lunch from home or when a guest arrives at office and their lunch has to be arranged.
We ordered dal makhani, shahi paneer along with missi roti and laccha parantha for the three of us.
Dal- very creamy and heavy, lentil gravy. It is very delicious.
Shahi Paneer- huge paneer pieces in a rich tomato gravy again delectable
I am a big fan of their food, and recommend this place for lunch but they don't really have any decent sitting.
Apologies for the bad pictures but it was taken in the middle of the meal with food all over the hands and this is the best I could do
I was in Daryaganj with my better half for some work. Basis recommendations by locals, reached this place. Was taken aback by the exteriors, and had second thoughts about having lunch here. But the foodie in me prodded me to try this joint once. Result: Pleasant surprise.
Dal Makhni was too good, and Mirch Parathas was awesome..."Ekdum Karara & yet v soft from inside". But what stole the show was Amritsari Onion Kulchas...Best Kulchas ever! Unparalleled taste.
Will visit again whenever in Daryaganj!
A very good pocket friendly option...food is just too good...and my rating is for the food only..
Although it's a family restaurant but the seating capacity is very very less and on top of that they don't do home delivery...one might face the parking problem during peak hours , so I would recommend visit on Sunday and with a group of friends , sometimes parents might give a thumbs down to such small seated restaurants despite good food...
Daryaganj to me has never meant to be a vegetarian spot for dining out, it has always meant the changezi chicken and zaika's that were in my conception.
In company of my vegetarian buddies on a Tuesday we reached here late night, looking for something good to eat and an instant reply from a friend took us to sugandh.
We ordered
Dal Makhni- Extremely creamy Indian staple cooked to perfection probably on my top five list in delhi, highly recommended.
Pudina Paneer- Crumbled cottage cheese in a slightly creamy and pudina gravy this dish undoubtedly stood out and I might just come back for this one.
Dum Aloo- A tangy gravy with small aloo stuffed with paneer, this is something I don't really try at a dhaba but won't regret ordering this one.
The breads served are delectable as well with a special mention for the mirchi parantha and missi roti.
WELL WEL WELLThis is the heart of darya ganj in terms of food. The dal makhni and paneer butter masala being my favourite. And yess,.. must try the MASALA PAPAD.This is the best place to fill yourself till hell with no load on your pocket. The taste is delicious and it tastes the same everytime , well im coming here since my chilhood as i live in darya ganj only.Soo do try out this place.:)
A small place in darya ganj. Was introduced to this place in scool days. Have been there many times but never thought of finding it here. Punjabi paneer, dal sugandh, paneer butter masala, dal makhani are must try. You can a company it with paneer or onion kulcha. Amazing food... freshly prepared. Butter nan and roti can get a miss here. Typical dhabha place... some may not like the ambience but all will like the food. Recommended.
A better option is to order take away from this place. In spite of office being in this area and trying other places in last 10 years just recently came to know about this place. It's a vegetarian restaurant with great food. Be it their thali's or A'la carte menu it's absolutely gr8. Their Dal Makhani, Shahi Paneer, Paneer Do piaza (even when onion prices high U'll find proper proportion) r really good. Their portion size is also very good n better than many Renowned names.
Must try if ever in Darya Ganj Area.
Sugandh proves the phrase that at times looks don't matter, what matters is that what lies inside!
Reluctant to even enter the restaurant after a promotion campaign at Red Fort, my office mates forced to have our dinner there.
The ambience and the entry is not at all welcoming but the food of Sugandh proved that it is a hidden gem in Daryaganj.
I still have water in my mouth remembering Dal Sugandh ( Dal Makhni). One of the best dal makhnis I have had in years in Delhi or otherwise. The lachcha parantha was equally well made and the crispy touch with butter was all the more satisfying.
It has a ground and first floor, both of which are extremely small in size. It takes dine-in orders till 11:00P.M.
Extremely pocket-friendly and a must visit for vegetarian lovers. For people who love cleanliness, kindly choose the take-away option but do not miss the 'dal makhni-lachcha parantha' meal at any cost.
Awsome food. Its a vegetarian restaurant dhaba. Dont look for good ambience or service. Its a dhaba yaar. But service is really fast. They make every dish fresh . Every one muat try there dry mix veg and paneer punjabi. U all will love it. Must visit. I am going there from last 2 decades.
Dont lookover the ambience of the restro....its the food which is winner....
Punjabi paneer, malai kofta , dal makhni
Are the most ordered dishes . Best north indian veg. Restro In darya ganj.....
Taste remains same weather u came in weekend or weekdays....must visit.
First and foremost the google coordinates to place is incorrect would ask zomato to correct it.
I heard about this place through my relatives as a bit different than others and as curiosity grew I decided to try. Finding this place is a bit difficult as its on ansari road which starts behind from feroz shah kotla ground.
On first look the place looks more of a dhaba and hardly impressed but gave it a try.. Ordered a dal makhani, panner makhanwala, mirch ka parantha n naan.. The daal was well prepared tasted a lot like dal bhukhara every time you try it with roti the taste grew on you. Paneer was not all cream it was a lot more to it... I throughly enjoyed the food and recommending everyone as its surely a hidden gem... Must try for all.
The food is really Amazing and value for money! Dnt miss out the dal makhani which i think beats dal bukhara... Good place to go with family...
North Indian delicacies in veg are served here and the best one is Dal Makhni.. I guess it's the best in Delhi NCR. If you are in daryaganj then don't forget to pack on for yourself and for your family a dal Makhni
Dal Makhni here is must try. The paneer dishes are delectable. All of this coupled with fast home delivery makes the overall experience very nice. It's the one place I order from when I want to have hearty and delicious meal.
Best north indian food.. Amazing dal makhni.. Dhaba style place, fastest service and fresh food.. My favourite from the last 25 years.. A must visit for casual and good food dining
The food is truly mouth watering. Dal makhni and paneer yummmmm . If u want to sit at home and enjoy a good North Indian vegetarian meal in and around Daryaganj , sugandh is the best option and Dal makhani is a must try.
Well if someone asks me for the best "Dal Makhni" in Delhi...it will always be Sugandh. Don't look at ambience...bcoz food here is Awesommme!!
If looking for ambience not the right place but food is jus awesome.. A true dhaba type taste. Dal sugandh, punjabi paneer n dum aloo must try
Awesome food !!Old Delhi feel and must have Mirchi parantha,Dal makhni ,mix veg and Paneer masala. The food has great taste ,ambience and it's pure.
Sugandh!!! Well to start with i am overwhelmed with the hospitality shown by the team here. The food is amazing and to die for the Dal Sugandh is worth the try and Mirchi Paranthas are just yum!!! Sugandh is like home to me it just makes me remember my ghar ka khaana!!! Kudos to the team and many more to come!!! You guys rock!!! Cheers!!!
Been here a lot of times. Food is really delectable.especially shahi paneer ,dal makhani and dum aloo. Yummy.
But ambience is below average. Overall a good place for dining.
Great food....Should definitely try the Dal Makhani, Kadhai Paneer and especially Chilli paranthas
The food of this place is too good specially dal makani and misse roti
Simplicity at it's best! And, Dal Makhani is a must have.
Have tried Dal Makhni, Kadhai Paneer, Malai Kofta, Paneer Masala and one word to describe the taste - YYUUMMYY!
food is awesome , pack it and enjoy :-)
I never imagined such simple food can be so tasty. They make rotis fresh in a tandoori. The price is quite cheap for the quality of food. The ambience isn't great since it's a small restaurant. However, hygiene is maintained with the food.
The food is very tasty,i like tandoori roti here, food is quality is very good. Service is good...its very yummy !!!
Hai I'm vijai from Chennai I share my lovely experience about daryaganj restaurant I never imagined such simple food can be so tasty. They make rotis fresh in a tandoori. The price is quite cheap for the quality of food. The ambience isn't great since it's a small restaurant. However, hygiene is maintained with the food.
This Restaurant is a must-visit for anyone looking to indulge in authentic North Indian cuisine. The food, ambiance, and service are all top-notch, making it one of the best restaurants in the city. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves good food and great hospitality.
The food quality is good. The mixed vegetables were good, lachha parantha was good but only if you have it there in the restaurant as after bringing it home it becomes very tight and uneatable. Butter naan was also good. Prices are reasonable but you may have to wait for a while as bread from the tandoor takes time to come to your table and even for packing orders. The food quality is good. Oldest pure vegetarian restaurant in daryaganj. Opens till mid night. Food quality is best in class at decent price
I was looking fir a restaurant on Ansari road and came across this place. On a first look I was bit apprehensive about the hygiene and the food but when the food arrived I was in a big surprise. The food is damn tasty, service is good and rates not cheap but neither high. Interior has scope for improvement. Overall nice place.
I have been visiting this place for quite long .. may be 1990s or so .. it used to be very good veg eatery .. now it's more of take away although seating is there .. food is excellent .. price wise OK, may look a bit pricey if you eat single. Owner is a bit arrogant and rude at times
Delicious food, good ambience, perfect place for family dinner

Loved the delicious food. Home delivery services are offered and are much better than eating there as there is no proper seating and secondly I don't like that much eating there. But the food is really amazing and delicious. Must try the dish I like the best is BUTYER CHEESE MASALA. It's a must try.
Have been visiting this Place for years. The food has always been delicious. The dal makhani and onion naan is really tasty. The ambience is nothing to talk about as it's just a tiny dhaba and majorly a take away joint. Though you can dine in there if you don't mind good food for cramped up place.
Best street food we ate in a week in India. Simply awesome! Good price, large variety of vegetarian food, good and quick service! Very happy tourists indeed!
I ordered Dal and Aloo zeera, food was freshly prepared and Delecious.
I requested for less spicy food which cook reciprocated.
The only thing I found odd is little expensive in comparison to the looks and cleanliness
Taste 10
Value for money 8
Hygiene 8
Homely Ness (you can eat daily) 9
It's a typical dhaba type restaurant with not much sitting space. There Pudina paneer is a must have and yes it's a Pure veg place. One can enjoy dhaba style food at a pocket friendly price. I recommend to parcel your food.
Good eating point in Daryaganj, near to HDFC bank. Tandoori roti are best they make here. Only vegan dishes available. Paneer dishes are popular. Seating and ambiance not very good. But hygiene you can trust here. Food is tasty and you will find it worth every money.
Food is fresh even at the time of closing of shop and very tasty.. Hotel k owner ka vyavhar bhot sahi hai!
