Visited the bakery for the first time and I think it’s underrated. The red velvet pastry was surreal. I feel work could be done on the visual appeal of the desserts though. Looking at them, I did not think they’d taste so good. The coffee also tasted fine.
Visited this bakery with friends for lunch..we had pink sauce pasta which was lip smacking! A must try when you are here...would love to come back to try some more dishes!

Amazing bakery options to choose from. Parking is usually available but could be an issue during peak hours. Had a great time with my family over a very good bakery options.

The atmosphere is calm ,soothing and quiet. The staff here is generous, attentive and super helpful.
The English breakfast options are simply the best. You must try their Omelletes varieties, all are excellent. I love their pastas also. As for the bakery items you can try their chocolate pastry. All their pastries including pineapple one is super yumm.
You can find varieties of home made biscuits and cookies.... My personal favorite is ajwain biscuits.

I have visited Raro on numerous occasions and tried various food options from their menu and the display. My usual order includes some form of dessert (we recently tried some pancakes with Nutella, rainbow cake and pineapple pastry), freshly brewed chai, biscuits, bread, and savory items. The food is quite fresh and reasonably priced. The bakery also offers customized and gorgeous cakes for special occasions. The ambiance is relaxed and, on busy days, finding a table can be a challenge. The service offered by the team is excellent.
A small joint in lanes of def col market .. perfect blend of flavours with nice presentation. Polite staff and cozy ambience. Sandwiche and wrap was delicious. Coffee was perfect.. strong n hot.. topping on the cake was pastry. It was difficult to choose one but we ended up having rainbow pastry.. this place deserves a visit.
This is one of the finest bakeries in Delhi. For regulars like me, it's an institution we swear by. The food is always fresh, the staff is always smiling and you'll always find something new to try here!

I have came across this wonderful budget cafe which serves all day breakfast 🥞. You can simply go mad with wide range of dishes and ambience. I tried spinach and mushroom sandwich.. it was cheesy and yummy recommended to all ... next up was coffee and cheese omelette with chicken salami... it is value for money & staff is also quick and courteous #price 800 for 2 but as I said value for money

Raro was my go to shop for all Birthday cakes in my family. They have high quality bakery items which you'll not get elsewhere - in your nearby pastry shops. Their products appear and taste - as if crafted by expert pastry chefs working in luxury establishments (maybe they are). Do give it a shot, if you don't mind spending an extra dime for luxury food product

Raro is a small place in Defence Colony Market with a lovely atmosphere and wonderful service. They have a big menu, from toasts to sandwiches and a lot of types of deserts. A lot of good baked products. This place reminds me of the small bakeries in Paris. Good confectionery range. Low volume music. A good place for a conversation. I personally love their coffee. They have a very courteous staff and their products are really good. Worth a try if you are a coffee lover.

one of my fav place for desserts. its baked yogurt on blueberry sauce is so awesome.. but they charge too much for the tny soul. 100 rupees was OK. they have increased the price all of a sudden which i did not like. Rest , many of the exciting looking desserts have egg and they do not care for vegetarians much... so wud reduce my rating from 4 to 3.5. Once I took the chocolate egg, my daughter enjoyed so much,,,,wonder how they put toffes into chocolate eggs...
A cute little place with a sweet aroma. And without any delay I ordered the waffle with walnut brownie. It was delicious you really wants to add more and more to your plate. The walnut were missing but still it taste yum.. 😋

An extremely welcoming staff makes you feel comfortable, be it for an early morning breakfast, a lunch date or an evening coffee. This place is a must visit if you are in Defence Colony market as it definitely stands out in comparison to numerous other bakeries around!

Again ended up at a place with desserts cuz I wanted some after lunch. Raro is in the Defence Colony Market and packs quite a crowd. The place is not too big and has limited seating because of which I had to wait outside and because of which I gave a lower rating. They have a lot of bakery items from breads to cookies and what not. I decided to have the Crème Brûlée. It's not the best but certainly close to one of the best I have had. Had a good crunch on top with the burnt sugar crust and then just creamy and fluffy inside. The best part for me was that it was quite light and not heavy as it looks from top. Do try it if you get a chance sometime. It's also light on the pocket.
Found this lil coffee shop while waiting for the next door Barista to open at 8 in the morning. Ordered a cappuccino which had a little too much froth for my liking. Sitting beside loyalists who frequent this place was refreshing. The staff is polite and friendly. The location is a bit hidden in the marketplace.
The masala omelette for breakfast was also good. Offered with toast and butter. Had ordered a spicier version but the chef sent a pretty normal one so a bit disappointing.
Overall a decent early morning breakfast at Raro.!!

I was just passing through defence colony when i spotted this outlet. Heard a lot about their bakery so decided to try their tart.
I picked their fruit tart , caramel tart and chocolate tart.
All tastes amazing.
Looking forward to try something more from their menu.
Nice place for a high tea. The pastry was not fresh as we expected. The coffee was good. Strong with the right amount of milk and foam. The place is decorated very well.

Honestly i love the customer service of this place. Full marks for customer delight. My family and i are big fans of their chocolate mud cake (highly recommend especially if you are ordering eggless cakes).
We wanted to order it for my Grandfathers birthday yesterday but their was no delivery option. Because we were ordering half kg cake they initially told me that delivery would not be possible to my residence which is about 6-8 kms away. When I requested them for an exception wherein I was willing to bear the delivery charges, they said they will deliver. Not only that but they also didn't charge me a penny for a last minute delivery. And delivered on time. What's more the cake was as delicious as ever.
Thank you so much for making a family occasion so memorable.
They serve excellent stuff. Pretty laid back place. We had saute vegetables, paneer club sandwich, hash browns with mushrooms, yogurt with oats, honey and bananas. They offer a decent selection of teas and coffees. Their in-house bakery churns out great cakes, pastries and breads. Great experience and total enjoyment. A feeling of total relaxation. Wow....... a must visit. The only negative is that the seating is limited but then no wants to leave once seated......

Def Col is a hub of almost everything. Be it a quick bite or a fine dining, a café/lounge or a bar, this place regales all. one of the other ‘good’ things this place accommodates is the bakeries. This market is home to some of the finest patisseries serving some of the best pastries in town. Being a person with sweet tooth, we started our quest to find places which were not mainstream yet served scrumptious food. That’s when we bumped ourselves into Raro.
A cute lil place with a sweet aroma hovering all over the place making us drool over the items at the counter. Despite being late at night when we visited the café, we were bombarded with options to choose from. We ended up ordering upside down blueberry cake, a three type chicken sandwich and pineapple pastries. The staff took the liberty to make a fresh sandwich for us and had three layers of bread slices and had a filling of shredded chicken and salami along with mayo, onions, tomatoes and cabbage. Needless to say, we were satiated to the core post devouring this. We had upside down cake for the very first time and were not at all disappointed. The essence of blueberry was intact and the mushiness of the cake was optimum. Pineapple pastries were decent.
We were expecting the size of all the items to be a notch higher, but nevertheless, we just tried three things and found them to be worth their cost considering their quality. We wouldn’t shy away from saying that we have bookmarked this place for our future endeavours. Our celebrations in the future will see many items served from this place.

Raro is a good option for food and drink specially for breakfasts. They have cakes, smoothies, pizza, pasta, sandwiche, waffles an dmany more, of course coffee options too. Its quite pocket friendly. What I liked best is that they have organic honey and bakery stuff which u can buy. Seating space is limited bcz its more of a take away place but still it was not disappointing.
This is a good place for breakfast. The seating area is small, but sufficient. Service is also good. I had french toast which was decent. The toast was fine, so we're the sausages and chicken salami. Their shakes are good. And most importantly, they serve crispy and filling fries with American mustard sauce which goes well. Unlike at many places, the fries are not airy, but crispy.
Perfect ambience. Ideal coffee getaway in the market. Pasta and spaghetti are good too. They offer some decent variety of eggless cakes. Love the pesto.

My friend and I met for brunch in Def Col. Chose Raro cafe on a whim based on the exciting menu displayed at the back, the quiet and non-fussy ambience, and the friendly staff. We had the veggies, cheese and pesto sandwich, the potato rosti with mushroom and two smoothies. The pesto sandwich was out of this world. The best I have eaten. Beats Subway hands down. Everything tasted fresh. The pesto was the star of the dish. Ideal if you are moderately hungry. The rosti and mushroom was wonderfully creamy. Served with two thin wedges of toasted garlic bread, perfect to soak up the creamy sauce and wipe your plate clean. The smoothies were made from fresh fruits. We asked them not to add sugar. Quite filling. A meal for two including GST cost us a cool ₹850. Definitely going back to Raro. Waiting to try their pastas and pizzas the next time. On a scale of 1 to 5, I would gladly give Raro 5 burps if I could.
Stopped for a quick conversation with a friend. Ordered a banana and brownie shake and two wraps. Veggie and paneer. Both Made fresh.
Total bill paid 360, I would say not bad for two people in the kind of a relaxed and quieter space like this.

The chocolate chip cookies are a must try at Raro Defence Colony. The breakfast menu is also up to the mark served with perfectly made coffees.
The Oreo Shake wasn't as good as expected but the place over all is good.
This place is a true divine for bakery products. They have a wide variety of cakes and cup cakes. In fact I was really impressed with the variety they offer for even eggless cakes.
It just happened to be when I needed the eggless non chocolate cake and I found one in their shop. It was a 500gm mango cake. The cake sponge was soft, the mango icing on cake was made of fresh fruit.
In addition to the bakery products they do have a small sitting place for evening snacks or coffee.
So next time if you want to try a new place for ordering cake you can visit this one !!
Raro has been in Defence Colony for a while now. The presentation of pastries here is just ok, not too good, neither too bad. We had Chocolate Truffle, Fruit Pastry, Lemon Tart, Mushroom Puff and Chicken Puff. The products even tasted ok only. Nothing was great but, nothing was bad even. They all were just fine. The pricing was also good. All these costed Rs 360/- only. So that's fine.
Great bakery with a wide ranging selection of breads, pies and dessert options. THey always seem to be very fresh and worth the prices on offer.

Raro is a bakery-cafe in Defence Colony which is not very old. What you see as soon as you enter the bakery are beautiful cakes, breads and desserts. Ambience and service is very pleasing.
I ordered blueberry cheesecake, paneer puff and chicken puff. Cheesecake was delicious and it just melts in your mouth. Paneer puff and chicken puff was also good in taste.
You can hop on to this place for some snacks and yummy desserts/cakes.

Found this little treasure amidst the biggies in Defence Colony market. Raro cafe and bakery is a nice place to have a quick and delicious bite of fresh meals and bakes prepared by the excellent chef of Raro's. I had a bowl of Caesar's salad which was very well prepared and tasted real good.I have seen very few cafes taking an effort for salad preparation and this was one such cafe.As I have a weakness for desserts,I also ended up eating banoffee pie which was marvellous.The place has cute interiors and a very courteous staff.

Raro is one of the finest bakeries which u would love to visit. I went here for a breakfast & I tell u their food was amazing in taste. I ordered their special breakfast meals which has the awesome taste of sausages, scrambled eggs & french toasts which melted in ur mouth like chocolate. I would like to visit here again if get a chance.....!

A well priced bakery, it has a good selection of sandwiches and coffee.
We started with 1 cup of coffee and only one portion of sandwich but went on to two cups of coffee each with 2 more portions of different sandwiches to share.
Raro u really are the best breakfast companion! Cheesy, yummy things right at the start of the day ... Can't get happier. Not to forget their wonderful brown breads made inhouse.

Well Defence Colony main market has a lot of Bakeries to its credit and this place is also a crown to its jewel.
I had always known about the cakes and pastries that this place was offering however the fact that it offered burger, pizza etc. I found only recently.
Well where there is food. You find me. :D
So here goes
We tried the Peri Peri Veg Pizza. The Size was filling the taste was great and the thin crust was amazing.
We also tried the white sauce pasta. The pasta was cooked well, the sauce was consistent and tasted great.
and after that came the green tea, well coz you know health consciousness.
The staff though small, was very very courteous and congenial.
A thumbs up for this place. Do give it a try

We went here for breakfast on 26 January, we ordered one Herbed omelette , one Raro special with Masala tea and a chocolate croissant. Though it took them a little longer to prepare all the stuff but the food tasted nice. The portions were quite huge. The only disappointing thing was that (may be only for that day) they were unable to prepare waffle which was a part of their Raro special, so they served us with a French Toast instead, which was not at all bad. The Masala tea was great, so was the chocolate croissant!

The cappuccino is quite big. The pineapple pastry was alright. The earl grey smelled absolutely wonderful. This cafe, right next to Sagar Ratna in the Defence Colony market is quite nice. They've done it up quite well. The only sad part is that the kitchen is open just behind the dessert counter so I could smell the food being made. Overall I'd rate it a 4/5. The desserts in the window look really good!

I had the banoffee and soft truffle. Both of them were amazing, but the price seemed a bit higher for the banofee one. Rest all good. The place was hygienec and the staff was friendly.
This is an awesome place. My friend suggested me a morning breakfast ride here. I am glad to say that the option of choosing this place for morning coffee and a slight of munching pastries was worth.
They have very very veryyyy nice pastries and the coffee was good too.

I was visiting from the States and called several bakeries around Delhi to find one that could make a gluten-free birthday cake for my friend. The chef at Raro was the only one who said he could, and was professional and helpful every step of the way- from picking size, flavor, the birthday message, and even providing candles and delivery of the cake to my hotel early in the morning. The cake was delicious and everything turned out perfectly. I highly recommend this bakery to anyone looking to order a cake for a special event!

Just bought two dry cakes but thet did not have any labels stating manufacturing date or price etc. Not expected from RARO. I buy very regularly from here but had second thoughts about the authenticity of freshness because of no label at all. How can you sell without any kind of label?

Our family's quest for good pancakes and waffles led us to defence colony. The main market has many good looking bakeries but Rora is a bakery And a cafe. Theres a satisfying range of breakfast items both sweet and savoury in the cafe menu. And of course the bakery itself has a impressive range of cakes, mousse, quiches. We mixed a little of both, going a bit giddy over the really affordable prices. The Raro special pancake came with soft scrambled eggs, perfect little hash brown, 1 sausage and 4 respectable sized waffle squares. I found the waffle a bit dense. Tiramisu mousse is sublime. The club sandwich came in whole wheat option and was delicious. I missed a good coffee with it though which the lovely staff quickly amended by getting me a surprise filter coffee from Sarvana bhawan next door. They do bake for parties and their specialities are eggless cakes and the red velvet cake. Great service !
