This place has been best cafe finds ! I never knew there’s a cafe in the wishing chair store and now I just come back for this cute cafe.
It’s a tiny space but packs a punch! The pastas are so so good and the winter veggie salad was stellar too.
There’s literally a dearth of good food options in shahpur Jat and this cafe is a respite.
The servers are so friendly and service was surprisingly quick.
The coffee and banana cake are worth an order Along with the mains.
Keep gobbling xx
The foof was good the drinks we ordered was good in taste
Was here with my friend and I personally find this place good for friends only
I had a good experience over all at this place. The place is very cutely decorated. It's very well lit so you can click amazing pictures. The ACs weren't working well so it might get warm and sweaty if you're going on a hot summer day, but the food and the ambience will made up for it. The staff is very helpful and friendly. I ordered spaghetti in arrabiata sauce and a cranberry ice tea, both of which were really good! Would totally recommend this place. Apart from the food, there were many cute and Instagram like home decor items and a section for clothes, which were all nice but VERY expensive. But it's all very good to look at. Definitely check this place out.
The Wishing Chair is very beautifully decorated cafe, Best for photography. So, we tried here mix sauce penne, oreo shake and Adventures of miss green. Miss green is the tastiest in all of them, crust is thin and Cheese , sun-dried tomatoes and capsicum gave a perfect texture to it. Oreo shake is also good tasty and crunchy.
Mix sauce on the other hand is very normal personally I don't like mix sauce that much.

The cozy cafe is set amongst some of the most beautiful home furnishing and crockery items! We ordered a variety of food, including cold coffee (I requested for low sugar and no ice cream - recommended), The Enchanted Forest Salad (very fresh, highly recommended), Moonface Madness (a bit too creamy but excellent flavor, recommended), The Adventures of Miss Evergreen (highly recommended), and Twisty's Tomtom Spaghetti (recommended). The service team is courteous but can be slightly delayed. The ambiance is very relaxed but chairs can be uncomfortable if sitting for too long.
One place which was long overdue specially of you are shopping in Shah Pur Jat. We ordered Ice Tea, Pasta in Arabiatta Sauce and Salted Caramel Chocolate Cupcake. The cupcake made my day it's worth trying n worth every bit of calories. Its small cozy cafe but love the vibes of the place. Staff is very interactive n polite. Cheers
The place is so pretty that it feels like being in some other world and the ambiance was so cute that you’ll feel so calm
You can go with your bae, bestie and you can get stuff for your house , small decor items and so many gifts options.
The food over here is very tasty as well.
Okay so Pasta is always my favourite dish with cold coffee is my top most preference. They game me a cookie complimentary 💕
Absolutely loveeeeee the ambience, the food, the stuff you can buy at 'The Wishing Chair' while having scrumptious meal.
Been here thrice now.
The people were welcoming.
The cafe gives the alice and the wonderland feels. 🍀
This is my rank #1 most favorite cafe in Delhi. Staffs are all friends now... I am sad that its not their in mumbai.. Wish it was there. Have spent hours and hours sitting there and doing my creative work.... Love for their coffee and mashroom sandwiches my freaking favourite 🌸
The cold coffee here is a must try! It's a cute place tucked in a nook in Shahpur jat, the staff is polite and you can also explore the wishing chair products which include some amazing scented candles.
I would give this cafe 5/5 for its brilliant and fast service. If you are near to shahpur jat for your shopping sphere, take a break and visit this place for delightful bites.
I tried hot coffee and winter woods vegetable pasta. Will visit this place again.
Oh really cute cafe...
My bff recommended and i must say all it was a worthy show!!
I just had a coffee and met Mallika dua..
Sucha pretty decor sweet staff
I have always loved visiting Wishing chair in Shahpurjat. It's one of my favourite store in Delhi. The cold coffee was just right and the chocolate cupcake was so soft and delicious. I will definitely visit again. Great job, team Wishing chair. Also I quite like the staff, they are extremely courteous. Must visit if you haven't gone there yet.
It is one of the cutest cafes i have ever been to!
Its a store-cum-cafe, pure vegetarian, very beautiful place where you can buy the cutest of the things and enjoy the beautiful ambiance around. Their candles smell amazing and the home decor stuff is tumblr appropriate.
Coming to the food, the options were limited and prices are comparatively a little high, but i liked the quality and service, so full points for that.
Its a small cafe but very well decorated and well manged with seating space.
Visited here to meet one of my friend and try their Chocolate Cupcake and sandwich.
Sandwich was average, i like Chocolate Cupcake, staff was also nice.
The Wishing Chair is a beautiful little store in ShahpurJaat. It carries a range of quirky and happy home decor.
Within the store there is also a cafe which serves delicious food.
On my visit to ShahpurJaat I decided to have my lunch and also a cure for my headache( coffee) at this cafe.
My order was:
Twisty’s Tomtom spaghetti
Cappuccino
The spaghetti cooked in Arabiatta sauce, topped with olives, sundried tomatoes & Parmesan cheese with a side of garlic bread is one of the best pastas I have had in awhile. A penne pasta lover, I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed eating this pasta.
Even for my cappuccino, i was in for a surprise, with the hint of cinnamon sprinkled on top, my coffee didn’t require sugar to be added.
For all things pretty and yummy, Visit Wishing Chair
Well decorated place in small area.
Visited here with one of my friend so some evening snacks.
Had red sauce pasta and tea here, service was good and food was also value for money.
Very decent interiors where you can spend quality of time with friends over coffee.
Had try their cold coffee and pasta both dish was worth of money. Service was also on time.
What a quaint little cafe inside a cute and quirky home accessories store in the lanes of Shahpurjat. Whenever I have visited shahpur, this is the place which I don’t want to miss.
Although it’s a vegetarian cafe, the food is super fresh and delicious. The flat breads and salads are must try items on the menu, Their flavours are light and refreshing on the palate. I’ve tried a few other items from the menu and all taste really good. And if you are a dessert lover like me, then do try their salted caramel chocolate cupcakes (I’m sure you would thank me for that).
Hence definitely recommend this place for its food as well as for shopping because am sure once you enter this cute shop their is no chance one can come out without buying something.
A beautiful and charming cafe with a great variety pf dishes. This was my third visit to The Mad Teapot and every dish I have tried was tasty.
Beautiful and mellow. This place is perfect for a solitude-weekend with ambient vibes. One can easily work on an end-minute deadline or read their favourite book in here. Their desserts are really nice and balanced and the coffee is a good companion.
I am what is called a Hard Core Non Vegetarian.. So, a place serving only Vegetarian food would not normally be a place I would visit.. Having said that, I would have to admit that this is one place I would return to. Great taste.. fresh ingredients.. cozy ambience.. friendly staff.. what more can one ask for.. Definitely a Vegetarian paradise..
The best hot chocolate I ever had! Thumbs up👍 Beautiful decor though chair's were not that much comfortable. Flat bread dish was pretty good. It was nice experience.
Loved the place...!!! Had sandwich and evergreen flat bread and both were just amazing...!!! Liked every inch of the place...!!! Double thumbs up
The best hot chocolate ever, you just don't want it to end, it's one sip is enough to take you to chocolate heaven.
On the other hand sandwich wasn't good and spending 300 bucks on such sandwich is nothing but regret.
It is really cute and quite place to go on a date and have chit chat and quality time.
Must visit and must try hot chocolate
A unique Cafe and unique place to buy cute little stuff to gift someone..!!!
Ordered these cute little gifts online for my husband’s birthday and he was so happy to see this amazing packing nd cute little gifts 👍👍
Pretty little things, pastel shades, floral designs, fragrances, soft lights, soothing vibes, brilliance and beauty galore! This place will win your heart if you’re one of those who fall for all things cute and flowery— they’ve got absolutely adorable stationary items, crockery sets, and interior decor pieces.
And apart from that, they’ve got a lovely corner for tea and snacks. I was there to meet a friend and half of the time we spent checking out their stuff. We weren’t really hungry so we ordered just drinks and a plate of sandwiches. My lemonade was a bit too strong and sweet. She enjoyed her 12 Secret Spices Masala Chai. The tea was served in a beautiful pot. The Faraway Farm Sandwich stuffed with mushrooms and feta cheese was also delicious, and quite filling.

This is a cute little shop cum cafe in trendy Shahpur Jat. Based on the much-loved children's stories' collection-The Magic Faraway Tree, this place brings to life your childhood dreams and memories all at once. You feel as if you've entered the world of the Enchanted Forest and if you loved these books as child, you would not want to leave this place! Also, this place is pure vegetarian--what a treat!
It is very pink and girly with gorgeous merchandize ranging from glass candlelights to fluffy pillows. All the stuff here can make your bedroom come alive and magical. At the back, you have quaint little tables and chairs where you can sit and relax, gaze at the lovely trinkets and have your cuppa tea or coffee.
The menu card, the plates and tea pots are all unbelievably cute and charming. There is an excellent choice of snacks based on the Faraway Folks and their adventures such as Moon-face potato roesti.
For drinks, we had caffe latte served in a lovely large cup and autumn tea served with its own tea kettle and cup. Both were delicious with just the right amount of ingredients. The selection of teas is quite unique and I recommend trying all of them.
For the main course, we had the flatbread with pesto sauce. The cheese was warm and fresh, the pesto quite tasty and the flatbread thin and crips. We loved it!
For dessert, there weren't many options but we got the chocolate cup cake which was delicious. It had a sprinkling of salt and gooey icing that was salty. Very interesting.
The bill amounted to just Rs 800 for a full meal for two. Very reasonable, especially for Shah Pur Jat.
I have fallen in love with this place and would love to come here again and again. This has been a wonderful discovery and I recommend it for everyone! Bon Appetit!
Coffee was really good, so was rose green tea.
I tried cheese and mushroom Rosti, it was good and filling.
Ambience is very pretty! Best in shahpurjat.
Beautiful place. Absolutely amazing. The store has the best collection. The experience was magical seriously. I felt like i was in a fairytale between all those lights..and books..and diaries..everything was just beautiful. The food was delicious..and service was quick. Really a very peaceful place to go to. Get a good book, sit in this place and enjoy the amazing ambience. Would love to come here again and again.
Recommend this to everyone for getting some peace off your hectic days. ❤️
Shahpurjat village has become synonym for Designer boutiques along with some small cafes.
Last I visited this cute cafe that is located inside the TWC store, in 2014 and chose to come here again to have my lunch on Monday.
From outside it looks like a home decor store but once you enter into this whimsical place, you are mesmerized by the quirky & beautiful decorative pastel shades items displayed on both sides of the passage.
As you proceed further you end up in a cozy cafe that serves vegetarian offerings only like salads, sandwiches, pastas, bakery items, tea & coffee.
I ordered for MOONFACE MADNESS (Rs.325/+) with a glass of Peanut butter & Oreo SHAKE (Rs.130/+).
The dish had a base of crispy pancake made with boiled grated potatoes, topped with mushroom sauce that was super cheesy and had sauté mushrooms in it. In the end, it was garnished with rocket leaves & balsamic sauce and what a delicious combination it turned out to be.. !! Must have for people who love a blend of cheese & mushrooms.
Thick shake had an appropriate balance of Peanut, Oreo & sugar, hence one should have it without thinking about calories.
Second & last was THE FARAWAY FARM SANDWICH (Rs.325/+) that I had during my last visit too and loved it. So this time again, I went with it and can say, there was no change in the taste. Prepared with thick soft brown bread, filled with mushrooms, onion, thyme & feta cheese, the sandwich was a sure winner. The bread was mildly crisp from outside and efficiently held the ingredients together.
I must say, it is a calm place with a fairytale feel where you can spend hours together over some delectable food and a cup of coffee.
Total bill paid Rs. 920/- only for two dishes and a shake
This cute retail store has a small coffee shop inside. The menu is all vegetarian but don’t turn a blind eye yet! The ambiance is top notch and very welcoming as well. They’ve got really pretty decors, wall hangings, etc. Food was decent, I loved the Oreo Shake! I’d give extra points for the awesome ambiance!

It's a cute little space, with bright interiors, inside a shop/ boutique... it's really well done up, all pretty!
The food is also quite good. It's all vegetarian, by the way. We ordered:
Peanut Oreo Shake
The Faraway Farm Sandwich
Mr. Grim's Green Pasta
All three items were good. The Faraway Farm Sandwich was the most interesting, with sauted mushrooms still warm!
The pasta could have had a little more salt, but otherwise it was good.
The Peanut Oreo Shake is hard to mess up, and they didn't!
I'm definitely coming again to try out the other interesting stuff on the menu!
This place is simply the warmest hangout place in Delhi! The cute little things sold my the owner and the decor are totally amazing!
Quiet place for a great hangout! Visited it a couple of times now and absolutely in love with it.
Would have given it an average rating ,however the ambiance and kitchsy-ness of this place made me give it a point extra!
Had their whatsizname sandwich - which was pretty yummmyy along with their oreo shake which was actually the right consistency.
The service was pretty cool too.
Basic place - but the shop has awesome stuff!

Well, a review probably won't do justice to the absolutely beautiful decor they've managed to dress this place up in. It's like walking into a jaw-dropping gorgeous living room hall that you wouldn't want to leave. Can't imagine the thoroughness these guys maintain to keep this place as brilliant; must take a lot of work.
Take a book from the chic-classical collection they have (I sighted a couple of Jane Austens; not really up my alley but, to be fair, Stephen King wouldn't be an ideal choice for such an ambiance), sit back with a cup of chai (or coffee, if you're one of the other ones; haha, sorry) and let this envelope of picturesqueness encapsulate you. Do try the food too, it's decently well made.
I understand I've probably gotten slightly carried away in this review, but this cafe is absolutely worth it. Really. Go through the pictures. If they don't inspire you to pay a visit, you probably have a more beautiful living room. In which case, you should definitely consider opening up a place of your own. And I'll definitely pay a visit.
Beauty inflicted, best place to shop if you love gifting and loves to buy aesthetically pleasing items for your house. Cafe is also good incase you fee tired after roaming for long in shahpurjat. I like this place .
Have eaten here a couple of times ! Absolutely love it !
Do try their salted Carmel chocolate cupcake ! It's divine ❤️❤️❤️!!
Their sour cream jacket potatoes are yumm !
Their farmland feta sandwich is yumm and so is their flat bread !!!
Their cold coffee is pretty great as well !
The descriptions right on d money.... quirky curio place with a relaxed cafe experience... i was a bit apprehensive bout d vegetarian menu but it turned out to be quite a delight.. gr8 work guys!! 👍
Everybody uses wishing chair as a landmark so always thought about visiting this place. It's a absolute gorgeous store with beautiful ambience, I ordered chocolate & salted caramel cupcakes, apple and brie sandwiches and cold coffee after seeing much praises about them on zomato and no doubt it's has now become one of my favourites coffee shops. Highly recommended!!
Amazing cafe with lots of unique stuff to shop...we bought a lot of stuff from here while we went for just an outing... unique showpieces and decorative stuffs...
The wishing chair is everything you wish for! It's like stepping into another world of one of the cutest restaurant ambience. I had the 'Secret tale of Mac 'n' cheese' which is actually made without any cheese! (Shout out to the health freaks!) It is actually a low-fat eggplant based sauce that they use, which is absolutely delicious! (You'd barely know the difference)
A pretty little cafe cum shop that serves good vegetarian food ! Yes. You heard it right. I tried their Great Hearts Sandwich & 12 Secret Spices Masala Tea. I liked the tea so much that I bought a little jar for myself to take back home.
If you want to eat healthy and less spicy then this is the best place for you! I had ordered 4 dishes and they were perfectly tasty. All these 4 dishes were perfectly prepared with amazing dressings. The ambience here is super quiet and calm which is a plus point. All over it was my great experience here and I would love to come here again!

Beautiful, peaceful and a happy place. I would definitely recommend you all to pay a visit to this lovely cafe. If you are a peace lover and love beautiful things then this place is just your cup of tea. ❤
The prettiest shop and cafe in shahpur jat.also offers great food.i tried the red sauce pasta (forgot the name for it as in their menu).served fresh and hot with lots of veggies and good quantity.the garlic bread served with it tasted kinda okay only.but anyways loved the whole experience at the mad teapot.
Love love love places like these :)
A coffee shop placed inside a pretty store. The store has home decor and gifting items - oh so pretty!! I know the review sounds girly but for all those people who appreciate home decor items they will like the store and the cafe.
The cafe is tiny and can seat upto 10 people at max. The theme of the store is carried into the cafe. They have pretty motifs in soft tones of pinks and mauves.
We tried a chocolate & salted caramel cupcake and it was really nice. Perfect frosting made from
Chocolate and the middle of the cake had salted caramel. Unfortunately that's all we ordered as we did not have enough time. My gut says this place is worth a few more visits :).
I'll surely be back.
I am not a vegetarian but boy if I could eat like this everyday I may possibly be ok with the conversion 😜
I have tried almost everything on this menu a time or two and I have to say u really can't go wrong
So my fave: the apple and Brie sandwiches and the cold coffee with a cupcake :) ... bliss
Oh and did I mention this is in the middle of a fairy land where u can buy everything and take it home!
This was a long awaited check mark on my wishlist, being a beautiful place that it is. Ever since I discovered this place, it was a must visit and to my expectations the coffee was well blended and satisfied my taste buds aptly. Thank you for having us, your store is beautiful :)
This is one amazing place and probably my highest rated place until now. When there are all sorts of pubs and restaurants coming up with shady ambience and dark setup, this one is a breather for sure. Beautiful ambience, delicious food and great service. A bit difficult to find, but a must-visit. :)
Just the perfect place for small bites n chit chatting with buddies, beautiful ambience amidst beautiful lifestyle products.
Their mac n cheese is an absolute must.
Beautiful cheery place with well behaved servers. Reflects a perfect Chic Delhi life.
Visited the cafe very recently. The ambiance is amazing and has been done up really nicely. The decor is to die for. If you're a fan for all things pretty, then this is the place for you. The cafe only serves vegetarian food and have a variety of stuff. We ordered Twisty's Tomtom spaghetti, The Folk of Faraway along with Cappuccino. For dessert, we had the cupcake and ice cream cookie sundae. The food was delicious, would definitely recommend the spaghetti. The cupcake and sundae were okay too. The staff was very courteous too.Definitely visiting again!
This place is a visual delight that you will fall in love with it the moment you enter. Lovely decor shop cum cafe.
Named after the famous children’s book by Enid Blyton, Vivita Relan has made this story come alive.
I loved its lights, different kinds of wall hangings, quirky furniture. One of its kind in shahpurjat.
A great place for gifts, especially unusual decorative pieces for the home.
What foooood!! FINGERLICKING
The dishes on the menu are named after the characters of the book.
we ordered Moonface Madness, The Secret Tale of Mac 'n' Cheese, Ginger root black tea and Oreo Shake.
Moonface Madness was smothered with creamy mushroom sauce and cheese. It was just divine.
Secret Tale of Mac 'n' Cheese was full of cheese and eggplant based sauce with brown crispy thin onion. Scrumptiously tasty.
I would personally recommend this place. Must visit.
With a strong creative and feminine aesthetics, this place is a delight in the evening.
You can take your own sweet time to soak into the atmosphere and enjoy the experience while sipping a hot cup of coffee. The Mad Teapot cafe located inside the store is a perfect amalgamation of food and view.
If looking for some Arabiata cheesy spaghetti, this is your place. End your meal with delecious tarts and customized desert options available on their menu.
With a presence in Delhi and Gurgaon, they are shortly opening in Bangalore..
Nice quiet cafe, didn't try much but the staff, ambience, and service were really good. Just tried their coffee which was spot on. Good for a quick bite if you are looking for a quiet place.
I stumbled upon this place. At first sight, you won't realize it's a cafe. The store meets you first, then in a raised platform inside the store is the cafe area. It's a den of cute and quirky DIYs, starting from diaries to lamp shades.
Randomly, I ordered Oreo peanut butter shake and believe me when I say that it was the best I have ever had !
Will go there again, for the shakes and to click pictures with the props.
The mad teapot cafe is a small outlet located inside wishing chair, shapurjatt.from outside it looks like a home decor shop but inside we were amezed by by a small cafe which serves pure veg and fabolous food.ambience is soo good, staff are welcoming, good music, finger licking food, coffee was very good,at last we had a dessert ice cream cookie sundae which was also fantastic.

Would rate this place for 3.5 majorly for the Ambience it provides...really cute.
Recommended by a friend who loves this small cafe which can be mistaken as a shop from outside.
So as you enter would see lots of cute little house deco items in the shop and walking towards the end of, two steps up is this little cafe with some 5-6 tables and sitting capacity of 12 people max.
It has a cute corner with a circular window and that's the best place to sit at this cafe.
Order:
A cappuccino, anandini Himalayan tea and a cup cake.
So the coffee was good even without sugar, as I prefer w/o sugar and most of the places make it strong and bitter.
Cup cake - chocolate with some salt granules. Overall I liked the flavours but not too fond of salt and sweet mix.
Staff : friendly, warm and welcoming.
There's not a lot to talk about this cafe but anyone would love coming back to this place due to ambience it provides.
Order 3/5 (can't rate food as I didn't eat anything)
Service 3/5

Overall experience 3.5/5
Would I go back....yess I would as it leaves a you with good experience.
Great place and a very good concept. Sandwiches are really good and so is the peanut butter oreo shake. Flat bread is awesome and a must try.
Awesome place to shop and to have good snacks :) One must try their sandwich and different varieties of tea. I usually visit to buy home decors but I make sure I sit and take a bite of their delicacies . Altogether I really love this place and the concept . Good going guys 👍
The wishing chair! It's a beautiful cafe located in shahpurjat.amazing interiors which will take out all your stress! The cafe serves amazing vegetarian dishes! We ordered green pasta and it came out to be surprisingly awesome! It tasted just perfect! Fresh broccoli and mushroom!no ingredient was overpowering the other and was added just perfectly!everything was in proper sync leaving no place for suggestions! One should definitely go for this one if you are looking for a cafe with nice ambience and some chit chat with your loved one!
With a simple yet satisfactory menu, this cute cafe is a must visit in shahpur. The pasta is yum, sandwiches are delicious and the cold coffee is to die for!

Beautiful interiors, soothing ambience, awesome shakes and delectable appetizers. Now does that sum up to a very good eating place? Hell yeah, it does! If you are the kind of person who is very particular about the atmosphere of the place where he/she is going to dine, then you might end up loving this place just how I did. The Mad Teapot is located in the Shahpur Jat area and has managed to create quite a name for itself in the areas nearby. It was recommended t me by a foodie friend of mine who absolutely loves this place and couldn’t stop talking about it a few ago when we met at her place.
One random day, I just checked it out on Zomato and realized from its ratings that the other people love it too. It was after that when I finally decided to check it out and review it myself. As I have already mentioned how amazing the ambience and decors out here are, I will directly cut to the chase and talk about what I had.
I ordered two drinks-
1). Oreo and Peanut Butter Shake
2). Cold Coffee
Both were outstanding although the Oreo and Peanut Butter Shake deserves a special mention as it was as heavenly as a chocolate shake could get.
Apart from these I also tried their salads and bruschettas. They were scrumptious as well.
I have heard that they serve a variety of delectable sandwiches too and look forward to trying on my next visit.
At last, I will say that Mad Teapot is not just any random café which you might have visited, it is an experience that you ought to have.
Their Peanut butter Oreo shake is to die for....classic combination..a must must try..!! Pastas are good too....the place is quite small but the ambience adds to it..cheerful :)
Okay this little joint us delightful. You have to try the peanut butter ores shake, team it with a choice of cup cake and you're in a for sinful dessert ride.
Desperately in need of a respite from our entire day shopping for wedding outfits in Shahpur Jat, we came across this quaint little place, through Zomato.
The place seems mostly like a place to buy décor items from outside but once you enter and go little further, you'll discover The Mad Teapot's seating at the far end. The place is setup beautifully. They have very few tables but that only adds to the cuteness factor of the place.
We were there for a quick break so we ordered only for cold coffees and an Oreo shake. The cold coffees were brilliant! The vanilla ice cream did not take over the taste of the coffee, as is the case in many cafés in the city. The Oreo shake, too, was a delight to taste.
Looking through their menu did make me want to try out their food but since we were on a tight schedule, we just had our drinks.
We also bought some stuff from The Wishing Chair, which is the décor and novelty items store you see from the outside.
The owner was a lovely lady who helped us in selecting stuff. The staff was very warm and polite and the service was pretty quick. The fun décor of the place really adds to the ambience of the place and ups your mood!
Overall, my experience was quite good and would definitely love to try out their food items the next time I am in the area.
Food: The food is okay. And you don't go for food here.
Service: It's good. Like all Hauz Khas and Shahpur Jat restaurants. Casual and okay.
Ambience/Seating: Well ambience is the USP. It's a set from a teenage girl magic music video with all fairy lights and pretty installations which gives it such a beautiful look. You may even buy stuff.
Value for money: Yea sure.
Go for: The experience to eat and drink at a fairyland.
Verdict: Nice place to go. Especially if you are with a girl. Or if you are a girl. Or if you are a guy and have a mellow heart.
Good thing: It's beautiful.
Bad thing: It's just beautiful.
Go or pass: Go.
The Mad Tea Pot is one of those cafes delights with its food and interiors alike. I don't need to tell you about the Pinterest-perfect interiors that set this place apart. So let's get straight down to business - the food! I was craving pasta real bad today and decided to give their Twisty's Tomtom Pasta a shot. The Arrabbiata sauce complete with olives, basil and sundried tomato was nothing short of perfection. Thank you for turning my day around! Other things on the menu that are just as delightful - the pumpkin salad, potatoes skins with cream and mushroom, and the apple and goat cheese sandwich, which they really need to get back on the menu!
First of all , the location of the cafe is slightly difficult to figure out. The interior of the store cum cafe has been done tastefully and is very soothing to the eyes. The cold coffee , mac and cheese and watermelon juice are amazing....Can never get enough of it!! A must visit...!!
The Mad teapot/the wishing chair is an interesting cafe which can be visited for sure thanks to its inviting interiors and for the fact that its a concept gifting store with a nice cafe inside which deserves a dekko.
We went here some days back and tried the bruschetta, and tater turnabout which had potato skins with mushroom and topped with sour cream. Bruschetta was nicely prepared but was very salty which I didnt relish, but the potato starter was good, and sour cream was nice as well.
In drinks we tried the Hot chocolate, and peanut butter oreo shake. Both were decent in taste.
The mad teapot can be visited once for sure.
Such a beautiful lovely awesome place to sit and think about ur dreams to come true!
Food got different varieties
Service also very good.
Ambience and everything gives so much of peace
This is one of the cutest cafe I have seen in a long time. It has very inviting decor and is a cafe inside a crafts store called wishing chair.
Finding the place is quite hard as shahpur jat can get confusing. Call the cafe they will guide you.
Coming to ambience and food: in terms of ambience this place is very cozy and compact. The staff is very pleasant and helpful. This place is pure veg. We had ordered the twisty tomato speghatti, winter woodlands veg pasta, hot chocolate, Oreo shake. The pastas have small serving but are very rich in terms of vegetable and cheese. The winter woodland pasta was an absolute delight as you had so many different flavours and vegetables in your mouth when you tasted it. The hot chocolate was a little bit unconventional, it had a strong flavour of cinnamon and could do with more chocolate. So unless you are into cinnamon don't try it.
Overall I think it's a really cute and yummy place to visit with friends, and maybe even a date !
The prettiest café in town! I fell in love with this cute little cafe in Shahpur Jat on my very first visit. The ambience is so soothing that you can actually sit for hours with your friends and relish the amazing food from their menu- Mac n' cheese being my favorite.
The shakes are to die for.
And when you are done with gossip and food, you can indulge in some shopping. They have a variety of pretty things from beautiful stuff for the interior decor to little things to gift someone.
I am definitely going to visit the Mad Teapot again!
This place is an adorable in shop cafe with the prettiest ambience. A perfect place for me. The food is amazing. Pockets full of surprises is a must have. The place gives such a homely feeling. The staff is so hospitable. The mad teapot/ The wishing chair adds so much charm to the streets of shahpur jat!

Definitely a Must place visit for all the food lovers .
Shahpur Jat tires you...walking in its little bylanes really takes it out of you. Starved at about 2 we walked into this little vintage haven nestled amongst all that bling from the designer shops and I absolutely fell in LOVE! From the little knick knacks stocked in their shop to the beautiful pastel colours used across their little corner cafe at the back it all soothed a parched soul. We settled onto the beautiful chairs and swiftly ordered a sandwich each along with drinks. I love love ploughmans sandwich salad with a nice onion chutney and that creamy almost fermented hit of cheese makes my day and the ploughmans I had here did it justice! Would say though a slice of mature cheddar would take this sandwich to glorious highs of yum! Nevertheless the sandwich was pretty darn good and the onion chutney inside hit all the right notes of sweet, caramel, oniony yumness. I ordered a summer special watermelon juice to go with and it was bursting with fresh watermelon flavour which I love!
I also took a portion from the mushroom sandwich my friend had and it was just as good. Sautéed mushroom with crunch of onion here and there in a lightly toasted brown bread made for a great combination and the lemonade she ordered was just the right amount of sweet and sour which most places just never manage to get right!
The sour cream on the side was a little high on the garlic quotient but all in all a wonderful treat and I shall keep going back for a little quiet time away from the noise! This could well become my nook!
Portions were filling, the food was good, the ambience was great happy times!
Perfect is the word.
It is such a beautiful craft n decor store plus cafe.
Cute little place with everything nice!
Pita pockets were good.
Twisty Tom tom spaghetti cooked to perfection
Faraway farm sandwich was reallyy tasty.
Cupcakes are to die for.!
Had a carrot cupcake with cream cheese frosting and dark chocolate cupcake.!
Love absolutely!❤️
Found drinks a bit disappointing.
Can be improved manifolds.
Definitely recommended place.
A treat, in every way!
Very very cute place. The food is good as well. One of our favorite place to hangout when too tired at office. Love this place. Ambience is really warm
A magical place tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, is what I would use to describe this place. I had heard alot of praises of it, mainly for the decor but sadly the food is much neglected by the rest. Although it has a limited menu, the food was really good. The name of the various dishes that they have conjured up tends to draw you in. I was pleasantly surprised by the food and managed to gobble it all up in pure bliss. Their salads are perfectly balanced with the right amount of crunchiness, sweet, sour, different textures, all in all it was an explosion of flavours in my mouth. The pastas are equally wonderful and are to die for. The green tea was just as refreshing and cleansing. However, much can't be said about their coffee as it was very bitter and as my friend said, and I quote, " I will be awake for a week straight, if I drink this." But as all things have pros and cons I would say, it's passable. So, if you are looking for a perfect place for a light and healthy meal, this is the place for you. A shop and cafe in one. The Mad Teapot also known as The Wishing Chair is an Italian cafe cum shop in Shahpur Jat, New Delhi. The lovely little cafe is situated inside the store “The wishing chair”. The shop at the cafe offers interiors and decor products. The cafe offers offers a good variety of salads and sandwiches which is fresh and delicious.
Some of my favorites here are Forest of Pumpkin Blossoms, Island of Greek Stories (Feta-Garlic base flatbread with roasted exotic veggies and Feta Cheese), Rose Oolong Tea, Himalayan Tea and Red Velvet Cake.
Well this tiny little place is one of the most endearing cafes I've come across. The winsome decor was so appealing to me. The food we ordered was scrumptious and well cooked but the drinks were just okay and not up to the mark. Red velvet is one such thing one must have here. It was actually finger-licking and so we asked them to pack some for home too. All over it was a delightful experience and I'll surely go there again.
I'm in love with this place! Not because of the food bit but how this place is been done.. It's a small cafe cum store in shahpur jat village.. They have amazing stuff for your home and you can stop by to grab a quick bite.. They have limited options on the menu but the preparation is very good and the staff is very friendly.. Overall good vibes and happy faces make your make, so I'll go with a 4!
This cute little tiny- minty place will blow your minds. Everything there is so pastel and vintage. There red velvet is one 'must-have' thing on your every visit:)
TWC or The Wishing Chair is one of my favourite favourite favourite stores in Delhi and I visit it every chance I get, have been meaning to go for one of their calligraphy and art workshops too but I'm never in the city whenever they are held so I really hope can go for one next time. It's one of the few stores which have such cute, artsy and floral products/home decor and what can be better in a such a store but to have the cutest cafe inside it.
I'd been to TWC a couple of times but never got the chance to try something at the Mad Teapot and finally one day I did.
Food: I had the Great Hearts Sandwich, I won't say it was very good because truthfully I was expecting something better than that. I was okay tbh, the taste of creamy pesto was good but I think what spoiled it for was the hard and extremely thick mozzarella. The presentation was good but taste could have been better. Though I've heard their pasta's are great so should have just tried that instead of the sandwich. Also, it's their personal choice but I would have liked some non-veg options in the menu too.
Drink: To drink, I ordered the there flower tea, it had a very nice taste to it and that is something I wouldn't mind trying again. Plus their tea sets are to die for.
P.S. : Their glass bottles and jewellery holders are something one shouldn't miss out on either.
The Feast That's Life

This is a whimsical and charming home décor shop which has cute and quirky products like lamp shades, mugs, teapots, photo frames, etc. The shop has a small café at the back, which dishes out small bites (all vegetarian) and a variety of teas.
We tried:
Winter Woodland’s Vegetable Pasta: This was a spaghetti dish, with a garlic, red chili and parsley sauce, with loads of exotic vegetables like peppers, zucchini and squash. The veggies were perfectly cooked, the pasta was al dente, and the flavours of the dish were beautiful. It was one of the best spaghetti aglio olio we’ve had.
Whatizname Sandwich: The sandwich was made with a good quality whole wheat bread and has melted mozzarella, cheddar, tomatoes, lettuce, pesto spread inside. However, the quantity of the pesto spread was too less, and there wasn’t much flavour in the sandwich.
We also got an Enchanted Forest Salad packed. The salad had rocket leaves, fennel, orange segments and feta cheese, drenched with a honey lemon dressing. The bitter rocket leaves complemented the sweet oranges, and the feta was creamy and sharp. However, the dressing could have done with a bit more lemon juice to get a zingy flavour.
Overall, the place uses really good quality ingredients and the food is quite good, but the prices are a bit steep.

A cute little shop with a café at the end, it makes one wonder why there aren’t more places with such unique concepts. The Shop is for all sorts of cute, adorable and miniature products pertaining to interiors and decors. It has a very captivating ambiance the moment you enter, you’re mesmerized by the place. It gives a very homely feeling as the owner herself manages both the shop and the café. It’s one of the places where you could sit all by yourself for a while and maybe read a book.
