The restaurant is good ambience, food is authentic, the spices are toned down for the delhi audience. The Meat across dishes is so marvellously tender and tasty.
We went through their food faster than they could bring it. However, the portion sizes are considerably small for what you expect, against the prices.
Great Andhra food especially the Chicken Biryani, Prawn Biryani, Chicken Pulussu, Andhra mutton fry and Malabar parathas. Hygienic and spill proof packaging, timely service and delicious preparations. Their customer relations and staffs’ behaviour (especially Mr Murli Chowdhary) is also exceptional. Polite, attentive and efficient. The best place in the capital for Andhra food lovers!

It was one of my best experience after the lockdown, the precautions taken by them amazed me! Masks, face shields, proper temperature check and what not!
But this was the second time I was visiting them! Because of their food! Absolutely love the delicious food they serve.
What we had -
Andhra Chicken 5/5
Mutton biryani 5/5
Very rarely I give 5 out of 5 to some dish as I’m very picky when it comes to taste but they have had me the moment I tasted Andhra chicken 😍 it was so yum! A great place to dine in! One must go if in CP and looking out for some delicious non-veg food!
Amazingly Delicious Food , loved the food and the portions , spices , gravy , everything is pure bliss 🌸.
Do try their Biryani if you like the flavoursome food .
It’s a good place for having regional cuisine
Went with my family and interestingly liked everything we ordered and price under budget was an add on. Briyani was epic ❤️❤️
And good option for vegetarian people
This is one of the most delicious Andhra meals we have ever eaten. The menu is extensive and varied and caters for all tastes of.. The restuarant was clean. The service was very friendly and efficient. It is a quaint place for those who love a combination of good food and great ambience .
Ordered : dosa , biryani and starter ( baby corn fry)
Rating: 8/10
The flavours and taste of the food is good. Ambience is also nice.
This is comparatively a newer place located in Connaught Place area. The name of this restaurant suggests that it is a Telugu restaurant. Bagundi in Telugu means 'good' or 'nice'. And it truly justifies its name. They serve one of the best Andhra food in the city. And also they accept Zomato Gold. I ordered the following items -1. Hyderabadi Chicken Biryani - The Biryani served here is a Hyderabadi Dum Style Biryani which on each palate is better than the last. The biryani is prepared in ghee. The Biryani is cooked perfectly, every grain of rice was separate and it was rich in flavors. I loved their Biryani.2. Chicken Pulusu - This dish was cooked to its perfection. This is my favorite dish here. It tastes little tangy in taste since they use tamarind in the preparation.3. Chilly Chicken - The chilly chicken is just amazing here. It is heavily loaded with the green chilies. If you are tasting, Andhra food it's quite common. I loved eating this.If you're looking for an authentic Andhra cuisine in Delhi then do visit this place. I absolutely loved this place. Just the kind of flavors and ambiance.
"HIDDEN GEM"😍
This place needs popularity guys and why not ???? Good taste, not so costly, nice interior with good options.

We ordered Hyderabadi biryani .......reminded me of my city !! It was excellent.sevice by siri chandan was exceptional!!!
We had some tiffins and ended our evening with deserts and the staff are so courteous and attend us nicely and we are attended by sandhya .you will have a feeling of being in south india and you can communicate in English Hindi and Telugu obviously
The food and service was exceptional. Especially the Mutton pulusu in non- veg thali. We had a good time as family. Should specialy mention Sandhya, who was attending to us was extremely patient and helpful. We hope to visit here again soon
Had a tasty South Indian food. Greeted and had a nice treatment by Miss Teja Rani.
Theja received and served us well till the end. Kudos
This is a Telugu feel good restaurant!!
Let me write my experience!!!
Stating with the look and feel, which we fancily called as “ Ambience” was very catchy... as it has all the Petra’s (big utensils) showcased that telugus used to use in the past for cooking.
Secondly , it contained the walls filled up with the names of different places of Andhra in different fonts , which makes you search for ur own place( if u r from Andhra). That makes it interesting and so relatable!
Thirdly the spice gets added up by the music that they play.. only Telugu old songs...not too old though!
U get so much connected with the above said things and finally here comes the Menu card.. which is filled up with the Telugu names of dishes ... like Karivepaku rice, chepala pulusu etc.
First, We ordered a non veg platter which contained chicken, mutton, fish, prawns in their starter form. They priced it at 1500.
Though the cost is little bit on the higher side, the taste was totally worth it.
Everything was very softly cooked in Andhra spices of higher order I shud say and just melted in the mouth.Especially the fish was very succulent.
Next we ordered the karivepaku rice. To our utter surprise, the rice was full of karivepaku(curry leaves) , and tasted too curry leafy😛! On the table, there is this ghee bottle which caught our attention, I dashed the ghee to the bowl of this rice and yes, it tasted heaven.. The quality of ghee was so good , that I felt like going to the owner and asking him, where we can get that ghee here in Delhi ( I didn’t , though)
Then comes the white rice with Chepala pulusu....which was okay okay, as I am not a pulusu person..
When there was this veg thali on the table...all I cud see is the small katoris,
And some pooris...
There was one masala vada which was good, as a starter .And the remaining dishes were sambhar, rasam some veggies fry and some sweet. We ended it with an ice cream..
A must visit !! For all the Telugu food lovers!! After all who doesn’t love Andhra food?? Come on!!!😎
Will easily qualify as one of the best restaurants serving authentic Andhra cuisine in Delhi/NCR! The food is just amazing with a range of options in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian variants! The service is pretty quick, Mr Rajkumar helps a lot with good services and the interiors will remind you of a south Indian rural household from the 1980s!
Very nice taste and potion and amazing service....Anand@bagundi
Food was very delicious. Very good service from Sri Chandra.
Nice authentic food with a humble ambience, a very typical indian family restaurant vibe, nice lighting :)
Visited this restaurant around sunset on a weekday during winters, and found it to be completely empty. We started our raid with chicken 65. The dish was beautifully cooked and had a captivating aroma to it, thanks to all the authentic secret spices and the garlic / green chilis. I hadn't had such an incredible tasting chicken 65 since leaving Pune 4 years ago. However the only issue with this dish was the quantity of the serving, which I felt was very little given its price. We then went for the boneless chicken biryani, which tasted heavenly courtesy of the ghee and the spices, class apart from the biryanis which most restaurants and other popular delivery joints offer in the name of Andhra biryani. The ambience was fantastic with Telugu songs in the backdrop, and the interiors are also very nicely done. I would recommend this place to others, and would love to revisit myself.
Since my friends wanted to try good South Indian food, I suggested Bagundi given its good rating on Zomato.
The restaurant is spacious and the ambience is lovely. We ordered two thalis, one masala dosa and one plate of idlis. The service was decent. We didn't have to wait for a long time for the food.
The food was good, to say the least. I am aware the Andhra cuisine is spicy but I didn't expect it to be so spicy that let alone a Britisher, even I felt my ears ringing due to the tremendously spicy Sambar. Sambar was the last thing I expected to be spicy. The rest of the items were delicious. I would love to try other dishes from this restaurant, sans the Sambar.
Good food, authecatic andhra food a and HyderabadHyderabad biryani. Service also good . Thank you ms. harsh priya for your service

Well served food...service was excellent especially I would like to note the hospitality of Ms Harsh Priya !
Egg biryani is delicious. Chicken biryani is not much to the expectations. Andhra chicken biryani gravy is great in taste ! Harsh priya is great and polite in her service .
I had bookmarked this place. Had a chance to visit this place as we happened to be near this place.
Had a veg Biryani. The Biryani is served with a small katori of raita and salan each. Raita was fresh and salan was tasty too.
The Biryani was flavourful, delicious and excellent. Ambience is spacious and good.
The service is quick but butter milk was served a little late. It was fresh though and had coriander with taste of green chillies. Will visit again.
Good food. Rajni was serving us and she is very helpful
Last time when I visited bagundi I love the food very much,I ordered three dishes which was mentioned above they are so yummy and delicious I am totally satisfied by food. Now come to service , the service was so quick and good, the way of talking is minblowing feels like I am sitting on my dining table. The server handling our table her name is rajni was too quick and very good in her way of talking . She feels ous like our home. Great work by you rajni good keep it up.
Best of luck team bagundi especially best of luck rajni for your future.
I will come back soon.
Excellent service by Rajni.. Well behaved waitress
A very special shout out for Harsh priya. She is so warm, attentive and courteous. She will remember names, preferences and will attend to you without you having to ask for it. It's a pleasure to see an affordable place with such fine dining-y service. And the decor is a plus too. Lovely, just lovely.
Amazing biryani with perfect flavour, spice and good cooked chicken. Worth the price! Me and my girlfriend can have it all the time.
Great food. Good staff.
Chicken dum biryani was fantastic. Fish fry was authentic. Nice and spicy food. Rohit explained the menu well and was very polite.
This place is really good for the food lovers and the staff is absolutely fantastic especially Teja Rani & Sandhyawho has been really polite.
A more than nice place where you can have South Indian along with few North Indian options at a reasonable price. Staff here is very courteous and the food delivery at your table is pretty swift too. Overall lovely ambience and a nice place to have some quality food at reasonable price.
Must visit place for Chicken !!! Chicken Chetinad and Malabar Pranthas were a treat! Anand was a great host , very polite and humble !!
Service and food is good

ambience is good and improve the spiciness. M.s Harsh priya service is too good..
Food and hospitality of the staff is nice and the restaurant service is best
Special thanks to Harshpriya for the lovely food experience.
Loved the dosa was very scrumptious along with the biryani. Great Service by Harshpriya very friendly.
Finally posting a long overdue review after visiting the place almost 50+ times. I have tried out pretty much Biriyanis from top places all over India, but this is pretty much one of the best, if not at the top. Situated in heart of the city, the menu boasts of a variety of Andhra food items with authentic taste. A special mention to all the courteous and helpful staff there including our hostess for the day, Harsh Priya.
Must have items here include the Hyderabadi biriyani, Chicken lollipop, chicken 65 and the Kodi Pulao available only in Mondays.
I was introduced to this restaurant by my friend. I really loved the ambiance as well as the food. The server Harsh Priya was extremely helpful. Would certainly come back again.
So , do you really miss home food and always have cravings for authentic andhra food.. Then , Bagundi Andhra Kitchen is the place .. Located at the heart of CP , the restaurant has been running since last 14 months successfully satisfying the foodies . The ambience is amazing with interiors designed as per andhra traditions and the authenticity of Andhra Spices is what will bring you again and again to this place
A must try place for lip smacking authentic Andhra cuisine. Great hospitality by staff.
Must try thalis..
harsh priya was a lovely host and we had a very nice meal trying out a new cuisine at bagundi, loved it
Great place to have authentic south Indian food
Non Veg Thali is just wow
The meals that are being served here is perfectly an Andhra recipe which feels like home made. Especially for andhra people who are missing their style of food, they would definitely feel happy once have food here, and they like to revisit again and again.Idhi nijamga chala BAGUNDI. All chefs here are from andhra, which is a best thing for any restaurant to claim themselves as authentic to andhra style.
This is a great place for authentic andhra cuisine in delhi, hotel staff is caring and environment is super for a family gathering. #Andhra special #Yummy Food.
This is nice stop for North Indian food craving especially for Biryani craving.
I had chicken biryani was so good and delicious. Nice staff and good customer service.
Ambiance is nice and comfortable seating.
Hey guys, so today I just visited this beautiful restaurant. The food was truly amazing, the ambiance was very cool, the staff was friendly. The food was pocket friendly and was truly amazing.
The bathroom at bagundi is majestic, the forts of Rajasthan shy away at the sight of Bagundi's loo. The bathroom accommodates 16 tables, each served with pretentious over charged portions of food.
The Malabar paranthas that we ordered dwarfed all the estimates of the Kohinoor diamond snatched away from us.
I recommend a buffet before bagundi at GT Road, right next to this place
Best place to enjoy hyderabadi briyani in C.P. Food is rich with mouth watering spices which is too spicy. We usually visit this place just for its briyani. Restaurant have very nice ambiance and staff are well behaved and helpful.
Authenthic taste of Andhra. A hidden south indian treasure in the heart of Delhi . 🙂
Was quite excited to try this place out since sometime! I am so glad to see more regional cuisine restaurants opening up in Delhi! We tried the Hyderabadi biryani and it was really delicious! The quantity was quite decent as well. We then ordered the the chicken chetinad and a malabar parontha, tandoori roti and a normal phulka. The size of the parontha was so small that I had to call the waiter to inform him about it! They made us talk to the chef to explained us that this is how the size is! I have eaten at a few other places but its never been this small. The chef was polite enough to send across another parontha for us. The restaurant has a nice ambience and beautiful drawings on the wall which add to the entire look! Had a nice experience over all and would love to go back and try more recipes!
Very good food. Amazing ambience, nice service by Harshpriya.
Very courteous staff, spicy Andhra food in the heart of DELHI !
The place should change its name from Bagundi (nice) to Adiripoindi (excellent)
The food tasted excellent and reminded us of home from the very first bite. I wouldn't be exaggerating if i said this was the best thali I ate at a restaurant and i frequent Andhra restaurants in Hyderabad and Bangalore. Chef chalam naidu and his team went above and beyond to make our dining experience even better.
CHEERS TO THE HOSTESS(SORRY FORGOT YOUR NAME) AND ANAND FOR MAKING THIS AN EXPERIENCE. THANK YOU FOR THE HOSPITALITY.. ALL THE BEST TEAM BAGUNDI..
Located in the heart of CP, the outlet serves authentic Andhra Cuisine. When I reached the place was quite empty but as it inched towards lunchtime, it got super crowded.
The decor is quite minimal with wooden tables and chairs.
We ordered Chicken 65 Biryani and Malabar Paratha with Gongura Chicken. Of the lot, the Gongura Chicken was delectable, with notes of sourness and tanginess. Loved its overall preparation and went quite well with the soft Malabar parathas.
Next time would visit for the thali.
It is like home away from home. The food, atmosphere and services were really good. Staff service was on point and excellent. Telugu songs playlist made me really nostalgic and being with family made it all the more awesome ❤️
Well ambience Best in class Restaurant with Andhra Cuisine, we had good and tasty food. We have ordered mutton keema fry, chicken thali and mutton thali here the taste was good everyone must try this in Delhi.
I ordered idli from here. There were 3 idlis with Sambar and 2 chutney. The idli was fluffy and soft. The sambar was tasty and the chutneys were really tasty. The price was also decent. 10/10 would recommend.
Edit: Ordered again from here. Had Masala Uttapam. The portion size was really good. Got 2 uttapam. Taste was amazing. Love the food here.
I never had such tasty idlis before... Guntur idlis that we ordered were spicy and the tomota chutney was so yummmm... Sambhar was equally tasty... Coconut chutney could have been better if used fresh coconut rather than made from coconut powder...
I went to this place on weekends so it was a crowded but generally it's not that crowded on weekdays
Ambience:I will say it 10/10 the decorations they have are so antique. They have some brass old age utensils and some wooden boxes and the seating area is beautiful too
Food: I had their veg thali and paneer masala dosa. The thali had many dishes but their rasam and fried peanut sabji was the best, they also offer a wide range of non veg dishes and limited options for veg. I will give 10/9 for the food
Service: Man don't get me started on the staff everything was good other then the good for nothing staff there I asked for glass and spoon at least 5 times for 20 mins until I had to walk to manager to get it myself when everyone got it naturally. They apologized on complaining but it was really disappointing.
Will recommend to south Indian food lovers.
Reasonably priced restaurant at prime location serving delicious Andhra food.
Location - The restaurant is located in the outer circle although it has become sort of lonely as many others in the same block such as Garam Dharam have closed. We went there on a sunday night around 10 PM, and the surrounding area was a bit dark.
Ambience - The ambience is pretty simple and nothing much to rave about. Looks more like a simple dhaba from inside with colourful paintings.
Food - Although we wanted the South Indian Thali, but they ran out of it. We ordered the Hyderabadi biryani, vegetable biriyani, chicken chettinad combo, egg curry combo, masala and plain dosa. Everything was really delicious. Even though Andhra food is spicy, we requested them not to cook very spicy and they prepared accordingly. I am surprised at all the negative reviews. The food we had was pretty good and the quantity was adequate.
Service - The service was very casual and friendly. It wasn’t anything out of the blue but they were happy to answer any query we had and the food actually came pretty quick even though many tables were occupied.
Prices and Menu - The food is reasoned priced and not very expensive. Menu is also good and not overly large as many restaurants tend to have these days.
Conclusion - It’s a pretty good restaurant serving delicious food. 5 stars if they improve on the ambience and upgrade on the overall experience. Recommended!
We visited Bagundi Andhra Kitchen as we were strolling CP Block M and saw this wellness welcome...on 11th January 2023
The ambience is ethnic and effort has been made to give it the Andhra touch ..enclosing photos
We ordered idlis Plain dosa and Ghee roast masala dosa...
The idlis were soft and fluffy and had the floating feel which is rarely seen and experienced in idlis today
The dosa dishes were crisp and crunchy and served steaming hot on a bitterly cold January afternoon in Delhi The Ghee in ghee masala dosa added a completely classy dimension to the taste and flavored the entire dish.Highly recommended all the dishes if looking for classy vegetarian fare
Need to visit again for Non vegetarian food some other day
We sorely missed the percolator filtered Andhra coffee and were informed it was discontinued We request filter coffee be reinstated for the Andhra kitchen completion menu.A great experience with Andhra food with we tasted in Secunderabad a few years ago
Resturant and food highly recommended for a pleasant experience.
We decided on our way to Connaught Place to dine in at Bagundi, we called to reserve the tables, they mentioned that its first come first serve basis, they don't reserve. As soon we parked at the entry of the M Block, C.P. the outlet was right infront of us, we went in, and we were lucky to get a table for four. The ambience is vibrant, i was expecting dull, 'naivedyam' kind of environment but its colorful, loud music and fun. We ordered Mirch Pakoras, Rasam Papad, Chilli Chicken, Chicken Lollipop was not available but was there in the menu, our favourite was the Malabar Paratha with Chettinad Chicken. The best Chettinad Chicken we had. The set dosa, keema dosa were good too, found them bit oily.. For desserts we had Kesari Bhaat and Paiysam. We're are coming back here for sure, especially for that Chettinad Chicken.
It's a good place to eat with family. Ambience is decent. I can bet this place serves authentic Andhra cuisine as I could see many people from South of India dining in. We ordered Veg thali and Sea food thali. The quantity was ample however prices were on higher side. The food was too hot and full of green chilly and spicy, the reason I didn't complain because that's how authentic Andhra cuisine is Hot and Spicy. Staff was warm. Overall a good experience.
This place in CP Serves awesome Biryani, the taste is super delicious and is completely worth the price taken. I went there twice and every time I came back satisfied.

Let's get this straight: if you're missing Andhra food, and you have a good spice tolerance, I'll just recommend the Andhra bhawan canteen for the better taste experience. However if you've been there, you'll know that it's *really* crowded and more of an Andhra mess experience than a calm lunch.
If you're looking for a calm Andhra meal, with less crowds, and a prettier ambience, then you can pick bagundi, but I would have to rate the food a distant second to the Andhra Bhawan one. Despite the reviews saying it was spicy, the pulusu or the guntur chicken we had didn't remind me of the spice levels I've had in Hyderabad that would make you reach for a cold drink. It does have more options in the menu than the Andhra canteen, although it does cost at least three times as much.
Food was exceptionally tasty. Gobhi 65 was my favorite.
Malabar Paratha and Chettinad was also delicious.
Everything was so good and the staff was really kind and suggested us the best dishes.
Great ambience, greater food, excellent service by an enthusiastic, attentive and knowledgeable waiter Ahmed. The vegetable thali was a superb assortment of authentic Andhra dishes and more than fulfilled my expectations.
Authentic Andhra food. Liked some things. Poori bhaji was ok, mutton fry was really good, guntur chicken curry not so much. Friendly staff and good ambience though.
Ambience of restaurant was good. I have tried Hyderabadi Biryani, it was good.
March, 2019 - We have tasted new tiffins which they have recently started and the taste was awesome. Their tiffins combination was good, like Idly with Chicken/Mutton Pulusu and Dosa with Mutton Pulusu ( We tried them). If one wants to taste different kinds South Indian tiffins this is a must place to visit.
Great thali with all indian flavors, Handi birayani was super hot. 100% value for money. The thing is good things are simply universally good so that type of food will be pretty much loved by anyone. The best part is food is inexpensive, ambience is good, service is amazing & the food is tasty. I mean what else do you want from a restaurant located in prime location of Delhi, CP. I bet even aliens would enjoy that food if they have taste buds.
