Govinda's Confectionery - New Delhi - Photo album

Place is a must try for the food. They need to work their ambience and the cooling temperature. Mr. Balaji (The Manager) is an awesome person and very supportive.
I went there to have breakfast. Upstairs was air-conditioned & had a relaxed atmosphere. Food was good: bhature were fresh & chhole nice and chatpata. Dahi bhalla was soft & delicious. It's a good local joint.
One of the few spots that provide authentic South Indian (Andhra cuisine) in Green Park. The service is great, cleanliness is spot on, looks a tad old but we'll maintained. Had chole Batura, dahi Puri and filter coffee, all tasted great. Rates are fairly good for delhi standards too.
I went to have lunch here on a weekday so the place was not crowded. I had Vada sambar which was really delicious. I especially liked the white chutney which had the correct consistency. The vadas were not too oily and neither too big or small. I then ordered the rasmalai which was also delicious. T

Masala Dosa is superb. Their sambhar and chutneys were authentic and flavourful. Idli was very soft and fresh. We had rasgulla in sweets and it was super soft and very moderate in sweetness. Overall a good place for south Indian cuisine.
If you are in 5km radius of Green Park and want to have some snacks or coffee, look no further than A2B / Ananda Bhavan. Me and my wife just felt like having some coffee and a small outing to refresh ourselves after a pretty monotonous day, (dominated by all talk of class X board exams of our son!!
