Prathon Wali Gali in Old Delhi/Chandni Chowk location is one of my favorite place for paratha eating. Its puri not paratha small pieces but very tasty served with three sabzi, green chutney, red chutney awesome. Aloo, rabdi paratha is my favorite pick love this spot.
Rabdi paratha & kaju paratha are a must
I went home for New year's and instantly after landing I had cravings for Chandani Chowk paranthas.
I ordered for 4 different types ( kaju, mixed, rabri, khoya) of paranthas and all were delicious.
These paranthas were served with aloo sabzi, khadu, green chutney and a sweet chutney with pieces of banana in it. Each plate has 2 paranthas which can easily serve 1 person.
Out of all the 4, I really like kaju parantha the most. It was very rich and you can easily distinguish the taste. Rabri parantha was sweet and when eaten with sabzi, it tasted really amazing.
I highly recommend for everyone visiting or living in Delhi to try the authentic Chandani Chowk Paranthas.

PT Gaya Prasad Shiv Charan is located at paranthe wali galli, Chandani Chowk. This legendary place is running successfully since 1872. We ordered their special rabri parantha and paneer parantha. Rabri parantha was hot and mind blowing whereas paneer parantha was good. I love the side dishes they give which includes potato curry, tomato ketchup and pumpkin curry. Ambience was minimal, so don't expect anything fancy.
This is one of the oldest place in parathe wali gali serving delicious parathas. The parathas are deep fried and then served with chutney and potato gravy. I tried their mix veg paratha and the rabri paratha. The rabdi paratha was filled with rabdi and folded in a gujiya shape.
I had been to Chandnichowk 12 years ago before my last visit with my husband. So I didn’t remember much.
My husband and I decided to explore Chandni chowk fresh and to try iconic food places. Parathe wali gali ke parathe was in our bucket list since so long and finally we got a chance to check ourselves the hype of it.
As soon as we entered Parathe wali gali, I really got excited like a little kid and also got confused with so many options. Never seen before these many varieties of parathas in life ever, so much to chose from .. after thinking a little we settled down with mirchi ka paratha and 1 alloo ka paratha. Service was super quick as people were standing in a queue for their seats. Though i find the making of paratha very unhygienic and oily but I any ways had to try this.
Our order got served on our table , paratha tasted heavenly.. never thought that mirchi ka paratha could taste this good.
If you want to try the original authentic Paranthe Wali Gali ke paranthe, this is the place.
They have various photos too claiming to be the original.
There are multiple options with respect to Paranthes and most of them are good in taste and are unique. However, keep in mind that the Paranthes are made in open by deep frying so it might affect your heart.
Anyway, it's a must try place if you're in Chandni chowk.

I went here in the afternoon and this place was jam packed, I tried
1) Aloo Parantha
2) Paneer Parantha
3) Mix Vegetable Parantha
Aloo parantha and Mix Veg parantha were great in my opinion while the paneer parantha was a bit bland and felt unseasoned. The sabzis they give with the paranthas are all good along with the 2 kinds of chutneys - sweet and savoury.
I'd recommend giving this historic place a visit at least once.

I was excited to try the parathas as they serve a wide variety of parathas which include parathas of potato, paneer, cauliflower, tomato, chilli, cashewnuts, rabri etc.
They serve the parathas with tamarind chutney (इमली चटनी), coriander chutney (धनिया चटनी), aalo matar, and pumpkin vegetable (कोहड़ा की सब्जी)

Parathon wali gali is famous because of this restaurant. Very busy and long wait if you are panning to visit but I never resist to visit whenever in Chandni Chowk.

Ambience: It was a small shop, but Hygiene was maintained even when the Parathe Wali Gali was clogged with rain water.

Overall if you visit Parathe Wali Gali, Don't choose Rainy Day.

I went to Delhi few weeks ago and here one thing that striked my mind is to visit Parathe Wale Gali. We went at 10pm and it took me little time to find it but thanks to Google Maps😁 It was crowded as usual but we got our seats after waiting for few mins. There are varieties of parathas, some which we can't even imagine also😂 I tried Green Chilly & Hing Jeera. They also give u different chutneys with 2 mix sabji. You need to take a min of 2 parathas. My friends decided to have Paneer, Cheese roll, Matar & Gobi ka paratha.. The best was which I tried😋 The stuffings are great which u can feel with your first bite😘 One thing which need to be look around is the hygiene.. When the restaurant is running so well, they should take care of the hygiene.. Otherwise good experience!! 😊

Can you believe this shop is 150 years old?! It is the 5th generation of serving delicious yet fascinatingly weird paranthas. They make paranthas out of unorthodox ingredients like rabdi(which is liquid essentially!!) I would recommend highly to visit this shop in paranthe wali gali. Paranthe Wali Gali ke Paranthe is always my favorite. They are crunchy and full of flavours. Also comes with 3 types sabji and 2 types chatni. I have ordered Rabdi Parantha and Paneer Roll Parantha. Really impressive. I don't need sabji but only banana Chatni is enough.
I was always thrilled on YouTube videos. Whenever, Food bloggers went there for there reviews. A must.

The charm of having paranthas never ends in paranthewali gali, the best time for relishing these paranthas is winter time, summer could be hot, the matar parantha, mixed vegetable parantha and rabri parantha are worth trying, the mix vegetable curry and some relish kind of achar goes well with the paranthas, all this with sweet lassi complete the meal, there is waiting time as the place is usually full at lunch and dinner hours.

Been to Chandni Chowk without visiting the famous 'paranthe-wali-gali', then I think you're missing out big deals in your life, Trust me I'm not even joking! The crowd is enough to make you realise how famous this place is and why people go mad for it. You just need to order which variety of paranthas you need, it will in front of the table within 10 minutes. They serve ample amount of paranthas that you'll get confused of what to choose and what not to(trust me, the choosing part is real tough😉)
*Ambiance/Interior/Hospitality*
Ambiance is perfect for go-to-go people who don't judge food by its interior as food's more important than anything else. It's a dhaba type restaurant with a seating arrangements of 20 people so it's not a big deal to wait as the wait will be worthwhile for sure. The staffs are good yet manageable so that's a plus point for sure.
*Quality/Quantity of food*
When it comes to quality, it takes the first place because the paranthe are meant to be appreciated but I'm slightly disappointed with their quantity like the size of the paranthas are really not worth the price as it's merely a 'puri' than a parantha. With no doubt their taste is quite unique and are made with 'pure ghee' but if size would've been correct then I would have given 5/5 rating. Trust me! Other than this, the staffs are well trained despite being a crowded place, it's really tough to manage and serve the right amount of food. Special mention to their side items which goes perfect with the paranthas for sure.

The parathe wali gali which is situated in the streets of famous Chandni Chowk .The Legend Lives On. It's hard to resist the whiff of hot oil and the aroma of sputtering spices.They have a wide variety of parathe which you can only find in this famous street,the parathe is served with flavourful chutney and 3 sabzis.The streets are bit crowded because of the fame of these parathe .It is on the walking distance from the sheesh ganj gurudwara and the nearest metro is chandni Chowk But for all the calorie counter it's not for you as they are fried in the pure Desi ghee and it will leave you guilty for sure.
When are you are in chandni chowk, going to paranthe wali gali is more than a ritual :) The paranthas are well served with two types of chutney and a vegetable curry. My favourite parantha is the pudina parantha. There is a lot of variety in the paranthas and all are worth trying :)

After all the hype that was created by people for parathe wali gali, we finally ended up going here with very high expectations. Being a weekday and early on time, we easily got a place to sit.
Flavours we ordered - Khurchan, Papad, Mix Veg & Hing Jeera (tasty in same order, Khurchan being sweet and best). Hing Jeera must be ordered at end to digest all the heavy parathes you have :)
The best thing - Very well stuffed and served with 5 varieties of side dishes (see in pic).
We also ordered Lassi. Yummm !!!👌👌
What we didn't like - Parathe were deep fried and hence like poori and also, the costs mentioned are for a single parathe. So a little expensive. One person can easily have 3-4 parathe.

Me and my cousins explore Chandni chowk food so we go to pandit Gaya Prasad shin Charan paranthe wala shop and we ordered varieties of paratha like ALOO PARATHA, DAL PARATHA, MIX VEG PARATHA, PAPAD PARATHA OR DRY FRUIT PARATHA.which they parantha is usually served with sweet tamarind chutney, mint chutney, mixed vegetable pickle, paneer and potato curry, potato and fenugreek curry, and a sauteed mash of sweet pumpkin.
The Parantha shops moved in, first in the 1870s,like Pandit Gaya Prasad Paranthewala shop, was established in 1872.
Reachable by metro, juse near Sheeshgunj Gurudwara, there is one and one only Parathe wali gali and the best shop is this one. Parathas are little in size but are tasty. Dont compare those with Murthal’s , those ones are totally different category. At least one try to banta hai

Even the place Parathe wali gali hasn’t changed a bit in so many years of my existence too despite full Delhi has been on a transformation mode. This is all for the complete package-and I loved every bit of it. If u r someone who needs a posh hygienic place-then beware! But if u are someone who loves to eat local food in a local format like thelas or roadside stall-u will love the place. I tried alllllll types of parathas- n paneer roll and khurchan paratha was my favourite. The achar, sabzi etc brought a blush on my face because of the spice but it was all so yummy n tasty...was full by the end of it. Reasonably priced at 130/plate (which had 2 parathas)- must try to see that Delhi is like this also. I loved the experience of going to the place through the galis. And paratha was made in desi ghee, fried like a poori but not 1 bit of heaviness I felt despite eating almost 2-3 full parathas...mist go for d whole package!
Went to have Paranthas from the famous Gali Paranthe Wali. Loved every bite of my food. They provide enough Vegetables for 2 Paranthas in a plate and all of them taste so good!
I ordered mixed Paranthas and the mixed Vegetable Achaar with Green chilli which was also amazing.
I also had the Sweet as well as Salted Lassi which was like Cherry on top of my meal.
The food was amazing even tho we had to wait for an hour to get seats as the place was very crowded.
From What I heard there used to be a lot of these shops but now there's only a few left and even those are worth the wait.
The hygiene maintained even with that level of rush is very impressive.
The only thing I felt should have been improved was that the price of each Parantha could have been reduced.

I went there with lot of expectations. They said that there is a minimum clause of two paranthas . So I ordered one namkeen parantha and one meetha parantha of Rabdi. It came with aloo ki sabzi, kaddu ki sabzi, kela ki chutney and salad . I liked Rabdi parantha more.
Worth the money .
I was expecting some very awesone paratha, but they ended up being only very decent. I tried their aloo parantha and mixed parantha and both were just okay.
Heard a lot about this outlet and it's totally worth but u must go empty stomach here. We were on hopping different delicacies of chandni chowk and paranthe wali gali so we tasted only alloo and rabri parantha and both were really good served with three vegetables two Chutney and salad.

Paranthe wali gali and the Shiv Charan paranthas have made a huge name already. Amongst the bustling streets of Chandani Chowk, this is definitely a stop for me. Tried their huge variety of paranthas- aloo paratha, gobhi parantha, pudina parantha, mooli parantha. Everything is definitely worth a try.
Small and cramped eating place in the midst of a chaotic bustling market. But it’s worth it. They serve all kinds of Paranthe, all with a standard plate of gravies and light salad. We love their mix veg, paneer and gobi paranthe... everything here is good and value for money. If you feel like it, order some lassi and a bowl of rabdi ...

I don't think I can be unbiased and review the paranthas from here. I eat these once a year and I can't even put my excitement to words as I excitedly wait in the queue for my turn.
If you are reading this review, you probably know about the place and want to know mostly about what to eat. So, here are my picks:
1. Karela parantha (I used to love karela as a kid and pretty much stopped eating it as I was growing up, if you like karela you must give it a try)
2. Never forget the basic (Aloo parantha/ gobhi parantha don't disappoint)
3. Some other tries were tamatar parantha, lemon paratha (this is basically with some lemon achaar gravy inside)
4. Try this with the heavenly lassi. Club the paranthas with that and it is death
5. And try the dessert, I usually go for the rabri paratha
What's best is the subzi refilling, I swear I would never that at home, but here it's just yum!

Pt Gaya Prasad Shiv Charan one of the older outlets that has survived and thrived since 1872 has now neon lights, laminated tables and greying photoghraphs of late politicians and other celebrities.They have a fairly efficient and fair queuing system that easily manages crowds well past its seating capacity
Despite the inevitable chorus of ‘the taste is no longer the same’ the taste was as good as what was in memory. The variety interesting as ever. Try the Chilli stuffed Paratha. It does not burn its way down your throat.

rabri parantha is such a new idea of presenting the boring paranthas.
i waiting for 15 minutes because of the long queue but they served the paranthas as soon as possible, also i ordered lassi whichh wass the best part to end the day with.

Dont expect too much on the ambiance side..its just as a normal eatery but note that the taste is legendary.
Situated in narrow bylanes of Chandni Chowk, not very upmarket but the Paranthes here will satisfy your soul. They come in various flavours. My personal favourite is mirchi paratha( Must try). Also mix veg paratha is pretty decent. Have a sumptuous meal!! 😊
A must visit place if one ever happens to visit Chandni Chowk in Delhi. This place is quite close to the famous Red Fort. Typically there is a lot of rush here or rather in the Paranthe Wali Gali in general and one may have to wait in a queue to acquire a place inside but it's totally worth it.
There is a rule here that you must buy two Paranthas at least. I went with Paneer Parantha and Mewa/ Dry Fruit Parantha. The Paneer one was decent whereas the Dry Fruit one was just too good. They provide a lot of sabjis on the side. One is Aaloo Mutter, one is Pumkin Sabji along with green chutney and one sweet chutney with banana pieces. I also had a Kulhad of Lassi which was utterly pleasing to have alongside the Paranthas.

To be very honest, at first I was left weirdest imagining, how can a banana or rabri paratha exist? But my friend, yes it can, it does exist here. Tried the dry fruits paratha and rabri paratha and was damn amazed and happy! Yes happy, I'm using this word for food, which very astonishingly surprised me. I was more than overjoyed, it was a delicious ecstacy, whose every inch I loved!! Please go here, try it just once, ambience okayish, hygeine good and food, mind blowing and awesome!! This Parathe Vali Gali in old Delhi is very famous for parathas. So I went there with some of my friends there, the place was quite crowdy as this shop is very famous. Whole Parathe Vali Gali is very conjusted with overcrowded people but this was worth trying for us. There were so many types of delicious parathas.
We ordered Rabdi Paratha, aloo Paratha and kaju kishmish. I had first time this type of deep fried Paratha. That was so amazing in taste and shop was quite smaller as we were eating at street. But all efforts are worth trying if you get this amazing food. Overall good, a must try place for foodies ❤️

My favourite place for paranthas. Love their paranthas and find them so worth the money. They serve their paranthas along with a variety of chutneys and sabji. This place is all worth the hype
I'm one of those guys ,who like to have a heavy breakfast and among all the breakfast items, parantha is my most favorite breakfast item. Well, paranthas are not just a breakfast item , people like to eat it as and when they like. From fancy hotels to Road side dhabas ,it's available everywhere. Our love for paranthas is such that, in the heart of old Delhi there exists a street named after paranthas , and the street is famously called paranthe wali gali. I've been to paranthe vali gali several times and every time the experience was good. The shops are very old and some of them are being run by the sixth generation of the family
Again Delhi's famous 100+ years old paratha joint where you can try many varieties of parathas which you have never heard before (if you're not from delhi of course)
They serve decent portion size of parathas. As this one is a famous places and Delhi's one of the main attractions for tourist it's difficult to get a table instantly. So you have to wait for few minutes depending on the hours you're visiting.
Just remember they don't accept UPI payments so always carry cash in parathe wali galli.
You'll see photographs of many celebrities visited here and some famous personalities as well.
The owner is always present here and he love to talk about his shop.
I'd recommend not to engage him with talking better concentrate on food and move to other shops.
place is small no parking available somewhat hygiene is maintained.
They are good. But they need to shore up very heavily on hygiene. One of the paranthas we ordered here had a long strand of hair. Not acceptable even if u r a very old shop and huge fan following.
The outlet is located in narrow lanes of parathe wali gali. They serve plenty of parathas. I tried their Paneer and Special cheese Paratha. Special cheese paratha is highly recommended. The menu is priced on the higher end but the taste is good. The seating is limited. Packing charges are whooping ₹50 extra which is little disappointing.
A must try spot in paharganj.
So tasty. Part of a food tour. Tried several of the stuffed flat breads. Lemon was interesting and unexpected. The pumpkin stew and the aloo mutter were both a dream.

This is the best shop in parathe vale gali to try the unique paranthas over there. The parsnthas are fried here instead of being cooked on tawa. The paranthas taste amazing and the filling is pretty generous too. The taste is quite distinct with unlimited refill of the vegetables and chutneys allowed and you can see the cooking process in front of your eyes. Please note this place is cash only. Also avoid lassi here as it is not worth.
Overall a good place to visit if you are at chandini Chowk.
Really best place to have paratha in parathe wale gali near chandani chowk at delhi,most celebrity and politicians have visited the place,prices are reasonable, from station if you have 1 hr gap for next train then take a rikshw for rs 50-100 it will take 10 min to reach have your tummy fill with delicious foods and return.

I ate mixed and paneer paratha here. The place is small and busy. The taste is not so bad. I liked paneer paratha more. They do have many different varieties of paratha. You may find some hygiene issue as I also ordered lassi in which I found hair. They tried to replace it but I did not took the replacement as I was already full. But they did not had any courtesy to say sorry and not to charge any money for that lassi. However, I did not argued either. If you are not a heavy eater you will be satisfied by the portion size.
I visited parathe wali gali multiple times, however most of the time I didn't like the food as much as it's famous. However, this time I visited in the early morning and we were the first customer of them. This time food was very good and delicious.
Authentic Delhi parathas deep fried. Great taste and it's always crowded. Right in the heart of Paratha wala gully and next to Chandni chowk.
Very listen about Paratha wali gali. So we also visited there. Different types of Paratha there and delicious as well but parathas are very expensive. One Paratha average price around 100/- rs. And they also want money in cash.
You must visit this place in paranthe wali gali to try their different varieties of Parantha, don’t go with the expectation of getting the traditional Parantha because here they cook Parantha on tawa first and then fry it in kadahi like you fry pakodas so i must say its almost like a stuffed poori and they serve it with delicious sides, like imli kela chuttney, hari chuttney, kadu, alu ki rasedar sabji & salad!
I'd say it was one of the best paratha I ever had.
