Service - excellent, Presentation - superb , Taste - sumptuous, Value - very good value , a must for repeats and highly recommended
Loved the food they do here, and found it very peaceful, however could have included some slow tempo background music.

Had their food at the ID expo. Pasta was mind blowing! Great food. Ordered sourdough bread with avocado too
Located inside British council of India, its a small quite place with pretty interior. The food served by caara group is awesome. I ordered many things. Masala potato roll was very tasty. Vada pao was ordinary. Cafe latte as well as cappuccino was good. The carrot cake slice was best part of the visit. It was yummy. Loved it. Gonna come again.
It is located inside the British Council of India. Entry is not an issue, you just have to check in at the main gate. the guards there will help you.
The cafe is quite spacious but some people might have just left their belongings on a table and won't be around in that case you can ask the staff to move it for you.
It is a self service cafe. The food is average but it is a great place to sit and relax or do your work or catch up with your friends.
This is nice, decent cafe inside British Council where you'll find all the students and staff studying or working over their coffee.
Must visit place for coffee lovers who want to try all the good coffee places, like me 🙈❤️
Andd theirr food menu might not have many options but everything is amazing.
I loveddd the carrot cake, best i had till date.

This place is very spacious and perfect.
Coming to food, they are serving amazing cusines and their way of presenting the food was damn good
This cafe is inside the British council at the ground floor , this is a quiet and peaceful place where you can have your coffee and read some great books. I visited this place to enquire about going abroad and got a chance to explore this cafe too. I ordered one hazelnut coffee which was decorated very well and had a strong taste along with that I ordered peach lime tea which again was relaxing. The place gives you a chilled environment you won’t get bored if you like less noise.
The cookies are amazing. The cookie dough one and the chocolate chip one.
The pizza breads are also Amazing and the coffee is to die for.
One needs to visit to eat cookies and relax with a cup of coffee.
An amazing place to go if you're someone who seeks peace and wishes to have a quiet place to work. The art work and the white ambience is a major attraction. The price is very economical and the taste is amazing. A must recommended cafe to go to in Central Delhi.
What We Had:
Chocolate Croissant : 8/10
Marble Muffin : 8/10
Cold Coffee : 7/10

This pretty looking cafe is located on the ground floor of British Council. It has a similar feel to it as you would see at the British Council Library-a space where you can see everyone doing their own thing. At the cafe, you’ll usually find people working, or socialising, or even attending workshops conducted by individuals on a small scale. In fact, I went to the cafe to attend a calligraphy workshop. There, as part of the workshop, we were offered grilled vegetable sandwich, a slice of carrot cake and chocolate cake. I also had their cold coffee. Everything tasted great! Special mention to the carrot and chocolate cake! In my opinion, one of the best carrot cakes I’ve ever had! I got a croissant sandwich packed, which I really enjoyed (and found to be better than vegetable sandwich, although maybe it’s because I absolutely love croissant sandwiches). A great experience overall!
Menu is caters all kind of snacks, salad and lot more. I have tried coffee, ice tea and various types of cookies. Need to tried some snacks however did not got time to try it. But coffee lover should try it once.
Beautiful and peaceful place inside British council where you can read, create things and even work with an amazing sip of coffee.
I tried the hazelnut cafe and chilly cheese toastie.
Perfect blends of chilly and cheese must try.
They have indoor and outdoor sitting, choose accordingly. The less explored place mostly explored by British council/embassy people.
Do visit alone or friends choose coffee, chai they have a nice menu. If you love eating cakes/pastries must try
Warm and nice environment. Cozy beautiful space. Food is great and are priced very reasonably. Quite place to read a book with coffee. Their home made cookies are also amazing.
I ordered a plate of cheese toast which was pretty good and Lemon ice tea which was okayish. Peach ice tea tastes better.
Overall, it’s a great place to work, read or casually chill.
One of the most wonderful place to be... It's white....it's cosy it's comforting... It's calm... Of course the process to reach in there is not like other usual restaurants u need to provide I'd lol but it is worth it. Totally...!!
The cinnamon coffee, the omg the most delicious carrot cake, the kulcha, the sandwich all tasted so great....
But the highlight was the carrot cake.
A place for great munching and great conversations is Carra..
A must visit.
In the hustling bustling CP this is a quite little cafe. With some great options of sandwiches, quiche, chilli garlic bread and cold coffee! So beat the heat with a visit to Caara Cafe
The Caara basil pesto pasta bowl was very tasty! Also had their lemon iced tea! My taste buds were satisfied at this cafe! Loved the experience overall!
I chanced upon this café while browsing an LBB list of ‘hatke’ cafes in CP. Being a bibliophile, I got doubly excited to find out that it was located inside British Council.
IMPORTANT- Non-members are required to carry a valid ID proof for entry to the British Council. We carried our Aadhar Cards.
I went to this cafe to breakfast. Its serene, white ambience instantly appealed to me, and the art displayed on its walls drew me towards itself. But my morning hunger pangs won the day and I decided to order some food first.
Here’s what my spouse and I ordered:
1. Hot Chocolate- It tasted fine. Could have been chocolatier.
2. Chilli Cheese Toastie- This tasted good. Recommended for people who don’t want their Chilli Cheese Toastie spicy. I still prefer CCD’s spicier chilli cheese toast. It’s the one thing that CCD has got right.
3. Baked Potato Cornish Samosa- Recommended. You might think why you should spend 85 bucks on a samosa, but the experience of having this well-baked samosa is worth the money. Also, the samosa’s size allows for a good amount of flavourful potato filling. This left me with the ‘Taste bhi, health bhi, khushiyan bhi’ feeling. :D
4. Cold Coffee- My friend had it and reported that it tasted fine, but not extraordinary.
So the food could be called above average. The fact that the staff has tried to take care of one’s health by keeping the sugar and spices mild is noteworthy, as the members of the library could be eating here quite often. Moreover, the helping nature of the staff acts as the needed condiment.
Just like Triveni, breakfast here on a day when you want to be away from the noisy, gluttonous food of standard CP cafes and prefer to be in quiet, yet musical, intellectual surroundings. Right outside the café, you might spot an artist sketching, a pianist practising, a bibliophile reading, or some visiting students clicking pictures. Grab some sunshine in the open area before coming back.
Great place to visit and amazing ambience. This cafe is inside British council you have to carry your ID proof to enter British Council and you will find this cafe in ground floor. This cafe is very pretty and peaceful.
Had amazing flat coffee with Best Carrot cake.
Tried there baked Samosa which was delicious.
I tried there pesto pasta which was not good at all.
But over all the place is must to visit once.
Order: Veg Sub, Chocolate Brownie, Carrot Cake, Latte, Green Tea
Foodie: 2 person
Bill: Rs 662
Mode: Dine In
Rating : 4.25/5
Pros:
The interior and the location of the place is very well selected. The ambiance gives a very soothing appeal and great for a business meeting, date or quiet friendly talks. The staff is courteous and the food is delicious. You can spend hours talking and going on and on with just a coffee on the table and the staff doesn't pitch in to bother
Cons:
The menu option is not long enough plus the seating is limited inside, with an option to sit outside (which might not be best in winters) The quiet ambiance might not be cup of tea for everyone. Do keep that in mind for planning an outing here.
Final verdict
A great place to hangout, when you want to stay of of any hussle of the city. Do carry a ID card for entry at the gate.
Bonus Point
The cafe is on the right side ground floor of the british council and added advantage that you can visit their library, which might be that huge bit good enough to spend some time away from the busy world.
Visited Caara Cafe for a Reader's Meet and loved the place!
We couldn't find a table inside (obviously, it so packed!)
So we moved outside to the wooden tables and took out food with us.
The lot of us ordered many things!
- a croissant
- ice tea
- green tea
- cold coffee
- chowmein
- brownie
- cookies
- a vegetable footlong
I later took a Hot Mocha while leaving.
The food was nice, the coffee was amazing!
Ice tea was pretty much the same, awesome!
The vibe of the place is more quiet as it is inside the British Council
But the outside area is more lively.
You can see in the pictures how much fun we had with our books and their food.
Definitely recommend
UPDATED: 15 June 2019 visit
We tried a 2 new dishes:
- Veg Chowmein (which looked & tasted quite different this around)
- Basil Pesto Pasta
And same old Iced Latte & Lime Ice Tea
Both the dishes were too oily for our liking, especially the Pasta 🙈
The drinks were amazing as always.
It's still a 3.5/5 cafe for me
A minimalistic cafe inside The British Council, Janpath. The white interiors are very soothing but you may have to wait for seating as it has limited number of tables . But it is worth the wait.
They have a wide range of coffees and desserts but a few eating options, which might be over by evening as they are pre cookednand keep limited quantities.
Tried the mocha and cold coffee which were great, not too sweet.
The caramel brownie was good and gooey but too much for a single serving .
The veggie toast was good but the vegetable noodles were okay ish.
Would love to visit again to explore their coffee menu.
Located inside the British Council is this cute white cafe with a soothing ambience. The seating whoever is very limited and you might have to either wait for someone to get up and leave or share a table with someone. Nevertheless their is outdoor seating and you can get your orders takeaway and sit outside.
Entry to the British Council is either through their membership id card or through any identity card (voter, aadhar, driving license).
What we ordered?
1. Iced Coffee
4/5
A bash of rich coffee served cold with milk and water. I loved the taste.
2. Lemon Ice Tea
4/5
Chilled and Refreshing
3. Stir fried Chinese noodles (chicken)
4/5
The best I've ever had. Though they need to increase the quantity for the price.
4. Chilli Cheese Toastie
4/5
Tasted good
5. Some cookies
5/5
6. Chocolate Brownie
4/5
Price again too much.
Surely coming back to this place! ❤️
This is an amazingly decent cafeteria situated inside British council. The food served here is money worth and delicious. The place is well kept, hygienic and quiet. Staff is polite. Service is quick and this place is ideal for small bites. Also, this is a perfect place to hang out with your friends after class or may be have me time.
Used to Spend hours at this place while my visits to the british council at Kasturba Gandhi Marg. Undoubtedly the classy white ambience catches your eye. The place is pretty peaceful and gives a very good cosy vibe.
The seating here is limited and the staff is pretty welcoming and cooperative. They also have an art gallery kind of a thing besides it.
They have a limited menu but serve some good variety of desserts. Their walnut brownie and carrot cake is pretty good. Their cappuccino and hot chocolate is my all time favourites.
I have also tried their stir fried chicken noodles, chilli cheese toast and samosa. The samosa, I, personally wont recommend. But the chilli cheese toast and chicken noodles are something u can go for. The food at first would taste bland, but eventually one starts enjoying it. It’s healthy and fresh.
Overall a nice place to spend a self time going thorough books sipping coffee with some cookies!
Cute and delicious!
Menu: 4/5 for having a new range of options even though the menu is limited.
Food: delicious! I didn’t find anything wrong with my order.
Price: great value for money considering how great the quality of food is.
Ambience: cute, peaceful, book worms and workaholic haven.
Staff: friendly and courteous.
Loved this place.
Quite, cute, and located within the charms of British Council, this place is a lovely hangout for friends, and the food won't disappoint.
Their sweet menu is fantastic, but the savoury delights (chicken esp) is amazing too.
Give it a go.
I give it a 4/5.

Nice Ambience, friendly staff, delicious food. Their dessert are all very good, especially their dark Belgian chocolate brownie, It’s just too good, it melts in the mouth. Not to forget their baked samosa which is really tasty and big. Overall a good dinning experience. The staff there were courteous and well spoken and kind.
Caara Café is a small cafe tucked away from the outside world inside British Council, Janpath. The interiors are plush, matching the likes of something you expect from British Council. The ambience is top notch. It matches your expectations of a high-end cafe, which is quite surprising given the cost of the items.
I tried the Cafe Latte and I can assure you, it is at the same level at cafes like Starbucks, Barista or Costa, at around half the price.
Would love to visit again and try more dishes at Caara Café!
After fainting with the exhaustion of shopping went with a friend to this place and had cold coffee and cheesy mushroom toasties.........amazing fresh food with the very good quality..... Its definitely on my list to visit again.
Ambience is good..food is tasty..service is good..ordered mushroom toast and cold coffee..a good place to hang out at janpath..do try the toast ..loved it very much
Great service and great food.
We ordered the cinnamon roll. Sandwich and Mint Iced tea.
Everything was tasty, The server was very patient in helping us make the right choices.
Will be back for more
I went there to satiate my cravings. Actually I went there second time so I have some old pictures too and I’m adding both the new and old pictures.
So come to the point it’s on ground floor of British Council, Janpath.
The food was quite good. Everything tastes fresh, delicious, and the environment is relaxed and beautiful. Definitely recommend you the supper tasty veg noodles.
With courteous and prompt staff this outlet really stands out. I surely look forward to my next visit.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
I recently got to know about this place from EatTreat's Ultimate Bucket List, and I really liked it!
Caara Cafe is a serene spot to take refuge from the chaotic CP crowd. It is tucked away inside the British Council with all-white interiors and art installations. They have a lovely outdoor seating too for when you want to soak up the sun. With made-to-order sandwiches, hot snacks and delicate tea cakes, simple yet satisfying food is what their focus is. The homely menu packs in a lot of options for a wholesome breakfast, light brunch or quick snack in the evening.
What to have: Pulled Pork Sandwich, Belgian Chocolate Brownie, Mint Iced Tea, Cinnamon Roll
Perfect for: Quiet Coffee Date, Breakfast
Absolutely amazing discovery. Perfect for a winter Sunday afternoon, brimming with the warm sun. They have a small set up to accommodate about c.50 guests and their food is absolutely delectable. Do try out their avocado chilli toast. They use the fresh produce in salads and good quality accompaniments. We had the lamb ravioli which was excellent, and also the locally made burrata which not too many restaurants can do well and they did absolute justice to it. Ambika personally pays a visit to every table and suggests dishes without being pushy, and what lovely recommendations. Totally loved the place!
Been waiting for this one to open for the longest time. Love the interiors. Prawn and chilli with sourdough and the carrot cake were to die for. The pesto stuff chicken and smashed avocado and chilli on toast were also quite nice. Had a great time, happy stomachs ❤️
Absolutely love this place! Great ambience! A peaceful place to spend time. Amazing desserts and coffee. Service is also nice.
I ordered an icedmocha and one Cinnaswirl cream cheese nutella.
Very peaceful and nice place!! Just locating it was a bit tough as it’s in the British council and nowhere it’s mentioned..!! But once u reach it’s an awesome location to just chill 😊
One of my best cafe discoveries in and around Delhi. This place for its quiet and peaceful - all things white ambience, cold coffee and desserts.
In pictures, carrot cake and dark belgium chocolate brownies
This place has been such a saviour during my CELTA program. Classes began early in the morning, and by midday, I'd be craving be for coffee or food. We'd sit in the quiet cafe, or in the garden and have our food. At times, they'd even be nice enough to heat our homemade food in their microwave. By the end of the course, I came to love their pesto pasta and ice creams.
Very pleasing café that is simple yet works very well for me. The seating is comfortable and the snacks are good. Prices are very good and affordable.
Situated in the interiors of British Council. The ambience is simple and elegant. I ordered for Cheese Toast, Cappuccino and Chocolate Cookies. Of which cheese toast was good, coffee below average (as per coffee lover standards) and cookies could have been better if heated. Apart from this they also offer a good variety of cold pressed juices to choose from. Overall when you get tired sitting in the library, everything offered to your appetite would seem better.
Its a nice cafe inside british council serves variety of breakfast snacks and deserts. Simple designed with lot of natural lights where you can spend some quality time in the calm atmosphere. I had their pesto pasta, carrot cake & chocolate brownie. Taste was good if not among the best.
Overall a fine cafe, you like it or not very much depends upon your taste.
Nice cafe with awesome snacks and a very cool set of beverages. Love spending time here with a pleasing ambience and comfortable seating. Kudos
A great cafe inside British council. Went for lunch with one of my friend ordered coconut yellow curry with rice, carrot cake, chicken bagel.
Yellow curry with rice- Great for Indian taste buds, rich, creamy coconut gravy with some Asian vegis and with Curry leaves on top loved it.
The only thing what I think can make it more worth it is the quality of rice currently they are using short grain rice. Long grain rice will make it completely worth the price.
Must recommended if you are craving for some quick Indian bite.
Carrot cake: carrot cake was to die for! Soft spongy carrot cake with shredded carrots and was topped with mascarpone cheese and almond flakes. Loved it! Must try
Chicken bagel : it was good as I am vegetarian, my friend had it.
Overall great experience will revisit soon to try other stuffs.
Great service!
This cafe is housed in the British Council Library and totally worth the membership here, although you can come as a visitor too!Open, spacious and large, there are wooden seats and clean white tables and a very modern hygienic environment. There is lovely and interesting art on the walls. This is a lovely, fresh, airy and well-lit place for you to take a break from the busy roads of Janpath or when you want a respite from reading all those books! This place serves mostly coffee and snacks, some very good breakfast options and is a self-service cafe. This place has the most delicious cheese toast, fresh crispy, spicy and cheesy. The penne pasta in pesto sauce is a favourite of mine. It has the right amount of basil and sprinkling of parmesan cheese and is so creamy yet so light. You simply have to try these two! They have yummy samosas too. The pizza isn't bad either and is enough for a single person. One of the few places where you can actually finish your entire pizza yourself!I tried the Queen's breakfast and was rather disappointed with their eggs and hard toast. Skip it.
I tried their samosa on two occsaions. It wasn't all that good the second time because it was too bland. Their spinach and cheese pastry was pretty unremarkable.
Their mushroom toastie was out of this world. Perfect flavouring! The coffee is really good. For dessert, the apple crumble cake was marvelous. Their chocolate chip cookie is ok. Not soft and chocolately enough for me. One of the best desserts I've had there is the eggless chocolate berry cake.
The cinnamon roll was ok. It was a little too sweet for my liking with a strong cinnamon flavour. I really love this cute cafe--very relaxing and great for a chat with your friends on quiet winter afternoons. You will love the sunlight too.
Art and food time together.
A great cafe with soo much natural light and greaf food/drinks option.
Tried their ice tea and cold coffee
Coffee was neither too sweet nor roo strong.
Iced tea - the taste wasn't great but fun and different.
Limited tables but you can share it if you find place.
The staff soft spoken and quick.
Overall the place is good to spend some quality time.
:)
An incredible bistro inside British chamber library... a quiet atmosphere a very place the espressos teas are super great so is their lazania general a decent bistro ...
If you love books and tea both equally, then this cafe is must. Before going to British Council Library you can have a sip of English Breakfast tea.😊
This cafe is a great little refuge from the hecticness of nearby CP. It's perfect for delicious snacks and coffee - quiet space for working. The spiced orange cake is also particularly good!
A great cafe inside British council library... a calm ambience a quite place the coffees and teas are super good so is their lazania overall a good cafe ...
I think there is no where in delhi where there is better on the move food than at CAARA..your carrot cake, banana cake, the panini esp with the Pesto are just amazing.. you need to let people know that the Cafe is open to all..not just the members of the BC.. i wish you would start a chain of these cafes all over delhi.. getting anywhere in Delhi is a pain.. at least at CAARA we can come and see some art, and calm and nurture our senses, in the special environment.. cheers to the British Council for having such a high quality place, instead of the normal samosa and chai Cafe Coffee Day or Coasta coffee !!
I TRIED THE TOMATO MOZZARELLA PANINI OF CAARA CAFE.....IT WAS SOOOOOOO DELICIOUS AND THE FLAVOR OF PESTO WAS YUMMY..... I LOVE IT.. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE TO GO THERE AND TRY SOMETHING...
Situated inside the british council, you ll get the fancy place feel just as you look at the building, as you go further, you ll be asked for any id and then you ll be allowed to enter the building.
The place is aesthetically very pleasing and makes you want to stay there for hours.
Their espresso smells perfect and tastes almost near perfect a little too bitter for my liking, I would have loved a hint of sweetness at the end on my tongue though. That being said, it is still one of the most quietest places where you can enjoy an espresso.
P.s. Go just for the coffee as their iced mocha was also good enough and their paintings will make you click pictures.
White walls, lots of open space, and artwork create an atmosphere of creative thinking and deep reflection. All the food is very well-prepared.
Inside the British Council, there resides a gem of a cafe.
Here you can get one of the best coffees with the perfect moussaka.
The cappuccino is quite amazingly whipped.
We ordered the Lamb Moussaka.
It's a delicious bake that has a lamb mince, grilled zucchini and thinly sliced round potatoes. All of these are mixed together and topped with round cut aubergines with a layer of cheddar over it. The feta that's sprinkled on gives it a different depth of flavour.
Anybody who's a fan of lasagnas in general has got to try this. Loved it to the core.
Would definitely visit again even if it's just for the moussaka.
Whenever you need a kick on a dull winter afternoon, this can be your pick me up.

This place is classy and will appeal to the Intellectuals and genuine foodies alike. They have a small menu however whatever is available, is Top-notch, made with fresh ingredients.
Everything right from the coffees, desserts or the appetizers is great! Just grab a book and enjoy your food... Deserves a 4.5 for the simplicity and the taste.
I wonder why this place has got such poor rating. This place a) opens by 8 or 8:30 and what beautiful Ambience. Go back to basics in your ordering here and you won't be disappointed such as a basic mock tail and noodles and that would never disappoint you
Then desert or pie is a good one as well. Enjoy catching up early In white here so you blend in amience
I don't understand why this place isn't rated well here. I absolutely love it. Amazing food, great coffee, good space, quiet and calm place to sit with a book. I totally recommend it to everyone who's looking for a quiet space to spend either some lone time or for a quick personal or work meeting while sipping on some great coffee.

Visited this café a few days ago with a bunch of friends and tried the following-
Oatmeal and raisin cookie- Tastes good and can be enjoyed with a cup of coffee.
CAARA coffee walnut cake- Walnut cake has always been my favourite but unfortunately this one did not taste very good.
Iced Coffee- A nice one for coffee lovers.
Breakfast smoothie- A heavy smoothie that has Yoghurt, honey and oatmeal.
Lemon and Mint ice tea- Tastes very average, have had better ones earlier.
Overall, my visit to Caara was good but they should really enhance some of the mentioned preparations.
We had chicken noodle, hot chocolate, sandwich and Americano . The food inspite of being a little pricey was delicious. I especially loved hot chocolate and chicken noodles. Ambience is nice and peaceful.
Caara's superfood salad is delicious! Go there just for that. Connaught Place desperately needed a health-conscious food outlet and Caara thankfully filled the gap. It should cut back on the plastic packaging though.
Excellent all-around experience. Espresso delicate but robust with fruity undertones. The Fig Tart as good as any I have had in Delhi. My friends had raved to me about the Caare Cafe. Now I see why.
The staff were courteous and prompt. The space is so bright and inviting that I didn't want to leave...it's easy to see why, on a Monday morning, the place was bustling and energetic. For a quick working lunch or a languid afternoon of conversation and laughter, Caara is the perfect place.
The ice cream here is delicious! I highly recommend the Chocolate Fudge Cake flavor for true indulgence. The space is also great for the summer – clean and cool. An excellent summer refuge!
I came here to visit the gallery and found this little cafe. It is set in a beautifully clean and quiet space right amongst the art work. I had a coffee (delicious) and a coffee and walnut cake that was a generous portion with a great icing. I’ll definitely come back for lunch next time.
Sometimes the ambiance scores way above what is actually served in front of you, Caara is a true example of such a place. The whole setting of the place with its pristine white look and artwork displayed on the walls and the super clean atmosphere makes you want a similar experience from the food and drinks, well with the heightened expectation that lacks slightly.
But hey this is a cafe !
A part of me still wanted the old canteen at the back of the building.
Caara cafe is a welcome change to the British council from the old cafeteria in terms of the classier interiors and new menu. However the menu lacks in terms of options of freshly prepared food. Also in general there are fewer options on the menu in terms of food. Drinks and bakery on the other hand is exceptionally good. Carrot cake and Madurai masala chai are a must have.
Bloody Brilliant . ☝ CAARA Cafe is so peaceful & the art installations are WOW . I ordered a Tomato & Mozzarella Panini which was perfect . Hot chocolate - Amazing . Scottish Short bread was yumm too. CAARA cafe made my winter mornings perfect . PEACE ✌
Would have given 4.5 if the coffee would have been good but rest was divine.... Spl the pulled pork sandwich and the short breads....would like to see more English dishes like a proper English muffin with sausage bacon etc, Cornish pasty's etc.
My first food exploration with CAARA was at the India Art Fair, where their ambience was so mesmerising that I had to sit down and order a cup of coffee paired with a Cinnamon bun. Boy, I still remember that experience. Having heard that the cafe has now opened it's doors at the British Council, I couldn't give it a miss. A quaint little cafe, inside an art gallery created a pleasant ambience to unwind at. I couldn't resist but order the carrot cake and a cup of coffee. Though the service was a tad bit slow, the food quite made up for it. Hope the quality remains consistent and they can up the service soon! Good luck guys.
Just simply brilliant... whatever I have had so far has been awesome... from brownies to cheese chilli panini to Parmesan crackers ... the salads are you and the pasta looks very tempting.... the only thing that didn't live up to my expectations was the mocha cold coffee... too pre mix kind of a flavor and you come to Caara for the rich and personal experience... but keep that aside it is must try for people... it is picturesque and warm... you will love the furniture and the warm friendly staff
I went to this place a couple of days after its opening, and was blown away with the beauty it embodied. An avid reader and a painter, this place amalgamates three of my cherished things: coffee, books and art. Although the registration does feel make you feel like entering a war zone, but I wouldn't complain as I'm glad we can now get a pass into british council, which otherwise has always been quite difficult until you're a member or a bud of theirs (blah, someone out there to take me? Please? *puppy eyes* :P ). I used to go to british council as a kid, and was always mesmerised by the surroundings. I got a similar feeling, as nostalgia kicked in when I entered this place after such a long time.
The downside: it was empty! Awkwardly I tried to have a small talk with the waiter, who didn't seem much of a talker. Hence, the weirdest part was the security guard coming to check in that area and staring at me with the look "why are you here?!" I think they're not used to the idea of British council being open to visitors, hence seem a bit hostile AND wayyy too suspicious.
Upside: the coffee, carrot cake and chocolate brownie! Simply voila! Amazing food, and the paintings by Sujata (don't remember her surname) were enchanting. Incase you're reading this, count me as your fan! :)
Apart from this, the price is a bit on the upside. But what else can be expected from a cafe in such a vicinity? I would really suggest the owners to market this place better, as I'm sure there's room for the entire literary hub (or not) sharing a cup of coffee on random conversations here, if they actually know about this place. Also, if the timings on weekends could be extended till 8 instead of 5.
Would love to visit again. :D
Good food at a very nice and quite place.
Food is overpriced but it's okay.
I ordered a breakfast muffin and a grilled chicken wrap, breakfast muffin was good but the wrap did not taste anything like 270 bucks.overpriced.
But still its Worth a visit.
This cafe is located inside British Council Library premises.
Very good cafe to grab quick bytes and coffee while reading your favourite book or waiting for your kids .
Their Pizza and orange tea cake are my favourite among the rest .
Overall a great place to enjoy your cup of tea with your favourite book .
Parking : paid parking available next to British council
Wheelchair ♿️ accessible entrance
It is located inside the British Council of India. Entry is not an issue, you just have to check in at the main gate. the guards there will help you.
The cafe is quite spacious but some people might have just left their belongings on a table and won't be around in that case you can ask the staff to move it for you.
It is a self service cafe. The food is average but it is a great place to sit and relax or do your work or catch up with your friends.
CAARA Cafe is inside British Council India. This cafe is the most peaceful, light filled cafe and you will find amazing British art from their collection.
You can sip tea or coffee and enjoy their healthy food menu.
You need to show your ID proof and register your mobile phone number to get past security at the main gate.
You can also visit the library inside if you want.

Visited again today for some work and had an Hazelnut Coffee (Best, must try if love coffee) with Mac and Cheese (good but less cheese) and Salted caramel brownie (brownie lover must try). There Coffee is really good.

Really fresh and really yummy food but they can run out fast of your favourites. Ours are Grandma's Carrot cake and the Chicken and Leek Quiche. Staff very helpful and friendly! Can't come to British Council Library without a visit.

Tou have to enter the british council, get a visitor badge and then at the first ground is the cafe.
Great place to visit and amazing ambience. This cafe is inside British council you have to carry your ID proof to enter British Council and you will find this cafe in ground floor. This cafe is very pretty and peaceful.
