Paharganj is an interesting place, its in the heart of the city, a km away from CP, and probably because of its proximity from the city fringes it is protected from the disturbing NCR crowd. After a stroll in the pharaganj market, if you want to stop for a drink, or some decent food, Sam's Cafe should be your stop.
Sam's service is super quick, food served is fresh, its busy so probably good turn around. The liquor is priced economically and not diluted (yes the new problem in Delhi).
Good service. Good food. Prices are good. Environment is cool and peaceful. Not a variety of beer is my only complaint. Otherwise, it's one of best place to hang around.
Wicked. we were a little to disappointed to know that this particular joint only opens after 1pm when on Zomato it clearly reads it opens at 11am. Have been a regular here and as usual its a great place. the staff are laid back in serving you (i guess the tips aint that great) however they are not rude. they are warm towards customers and the service is good. Clean place the food is good the drinks are cheap. there is a bit of a network issue when you are inside the joint.

Lovely place to spend evening. They have good booze and we tried shots and LIIT as well which were well pesented and well made. The food was good too. Hummus pita and palak lasange were both delicious. Staff was decent and quick too. Must visit place in paharganj.
It's a fine place in area like Paharganj, when you enter this place you get a vibe of classic yellow warm light setting was good its not like noisy and loud kind of bar!!

Located in the heart of Paharganj, Sam’s Restaurant is no stranger to Delhites.
Why should you visit here?
The first thing which grabbed my attention was the cheap beer pints. Serving pints for as cheap as Rs.120, This is definitely the place if you wanna crack open a bottle with your buddies. The seating area has a good vibe to it, combines well with a sports match in the background. The Restaurant also has an inner lounge where you can smoke while having your meal.
What dishes to order?
Stick with the traditional Indian combination, A curry with some naan. Chicken Rara combined with some butter naan might sound too clichéd for you, But it won my heart. The dish had four chicken pieces, topped with some herbs. The curry had the right proportion of spices and herbs, which also had minced chicken mixed into it. Combine all of this with a pint of beer, And you have your perfect lunch/dinner. Approximate cost should be around between Rs.500 - Rs.700.
What could be better?
Food quality was great, However, the quantity was a bit questionable. A full plate of chicken curry should serve around 3-4 people, However, that was not the case here. The curry fell short and I had to order more to compensate for my naan. Coming to the service, I had to wait a bit for them to take my order, even when I was the only person there.
Overall, The restaurant was decent, Especially with its pricing. Definitely worth a visit.

Sam's bar is the hidden gem of Paharganj . You will find this place at the main bazar of paharganj . Two words are enough : Cheap and best . This place has a good ambience , the crowd was decent too . We ordered french fries , veg noodles and the beer . We could not have asked for more at such reasonable price . Value for money 🤗

A fine and economical place for having a meal. The food is good, I usually go there, the chicken malai tikka, margarita pizza are two of the best options. You can try other delicacies also. The place is also a good option for having drinks, their menu is mot very extensive yet you may easily find the drink of your choice
Awesome ambience...never expected such a place in Paharganj! the rates are approx 10-20rs more than what is mentioned in Zomato's menu...anyway it's worth...a must visit for alcohol lovers as here u get variety of cocktails as well! keep up the good work!
We went there for a Sunday lunch, before leaving Delhi. We had some beer and Chicken Malai Tikka Kabab. The kababs were delicious, melts in the mouth. The mint sauce was perfectly made with the accurate amount of curd. Later we had some Chinese for the main course. The mixed fried rice and Chilli chicken were very tasty and spicy. Loved the decor and the dim lighting too.

Sam's restaurant and bar is a refreshing place. I tried the non veg main course with a few drinks. The chicken items were succulent and flavorful. Prices were also very good. Overall a great exp :) Must visit!
Cheap and good. Not visited by the usual Riff Raff of Paharganj. Quiet place with good food. Good to hang out with friends and have actual conversation instead of being overpowered by loud music.
Indeed! it a nice place for booze and eat. Crowd is very decent. I could see many foreigners enjoying their drinks. A gang of youngster were partying decently. Also, young couples are visiting the bar. Initially I thought waiters are bit slow and casual, but they are trained professionals. One good thing is that smoking area is little away (towards back side) and keeping the front area smoke free. The bar was dim lighted with English music in low volume. TV was on with IPL cricket.
I was alone this time. I had Kingfisher Premier beer, Masala papad and chicken malai tikka. The tikka was really yummy and quantity is very good. I spent the evening leisurely and to the fullest.
A vert good bar and restaurant in New delhi,near Paharganj Main bazar area. The service is very good the waiter specially the bartender DIPAK PANDA in the inside area is a really good guy!! A must try is the Bira white(draught) it's really good good for solo travelers as well as couples. The ambience is really good with a good selection of Songs that they play. A dive bar which doesn't look like one. The starts are pretty good. We had chilli chicken and onion rings. They have great spinach corn cheese rolls. The alcohol is super cheap. Plus there are a few TV screen to watch sports as well. Over all a good place to have your weekend hangout.
All points scored are for its ambience. A soothing and a calm place to have a drink or two. Every 7 out of 10 people in it are foreigners. A good place to hang out. Pricing is alright. Although, the tables and the chairs need to be fixed. They were wobbly when I went in there. Not one, not two, even the third table I switched to was the same. Service issues definitely are present. Rest the place is fine. Food is fine. Don't expect much for your taste buds.
I like this restaurant for its ambiance. Most of the time you will find it filled with the foreigners. The service is prompt and everything in this hotel is well managed but little bit cleanliness issues are there which they need to consider. Otherwise this restaurant is fab in all other means.

As you enter the place, feels like as if entered a different world, soothing place as compared to noisy streets of main bazaar. Taste of beer enhances with good sitting. Food is just average or may be bit below. Service is fine and just meet the standards. Pricing is ok, as ambience is good you won't mind the pricing.
It has a separate smoking area, so you dont need to leave your table if you enjoy smoke with drinks. A good place for reunion with friends over beer.

Well, to describe Sam's Bar is an honour since the service was exemplary , ambiance was wonderful & the food/drinks were sheer delight.
Prices were average; wherein, a group of 4 cost us 4500 bucks for Beers & Snacks.We ordered Paneer Tikka, Chilly Chicken & Chilly Paneer to go with our drinks & all of them were above par.This was only possible because all time favourite My Bar (nearby) did not had any good brands that day.Thanks to My Bar, I found a better & more convenient option in Sam's Bar as the ambiance here was far more better, relaxing & enjoyable than in My Bar (which is generally very noisy & smoke fumes going around in circles, all the time).

Its one of those hidden gems, mostly full of foreigners. Been here multiple times. The staff isn't good but the place is nice. They have happy hours which makes the alcohol more affordable. I had the pleasure of being here on Friendship Day! After trying my luck at a good number of places - My Bar included. This place turned out to be great. I never expected such an awesome experience. The booze was cheap. The music was decent. And the crowd was OK too.
I would prefer this place over My Bar any day (they are within 50 meters on the same lane).
Would recommend this place if you are on a budget, and want to have a good with your friends!

Sam's is located in the busy streets of Main Bazar pahargunj , a place usually favourite with foreign tourists . The restaurant is kept neat and clean and staff are very attentive . Ambiance is laid back with soft music in the background . This place is better than a lot of bars located in pahargunj because the crowd here is pretty decent comparatively . The kabab platter is filling to the core with soya kababs, mushroom Tikka, paneer tikka, aloo kababs and seekh kababs. Quantity is quite good . Beer glasses are served chilled always . Prices are low here . Spring rolls were passable. Pizza tasted decent , Manchurian was heavenly . Chilly garlic noodles were quite good and spicy . Food smells fresh as well .
We happened to reach this place as all the other known places in CP and Paharganj were full on the friendship's day. But we felt lucky that it was the case. The place has a great ambience, and nice crowd. Paharganj bars aren't particularly hip on meals, but this one's checks that part too. The drinks were very affordable and the music was good too. Never going to CP again for drinks!

Located at Vivek Hotel in the Main Bazaar of Paharganj, Sam’s Restaurant and Bar is a casual dining restaurant serving North Indian, Chinese and Italian cuisine items. If we talk about the interiors of this place, they are good and the ambience out here is also decent. Had heard about it a lot from various sources until I finally decided to dine here a few days ago.
Here is a list of the items that I had here-
Tandoori Chicken – Comes with a fine taste and ample portion size. The spices added were also adequate in
amount and it tasted good overall.
Chicken Achari Tikka- Had piquant flavors and a spicy taste. I enjoyed the combination of this Tikka and
Beer.
Chilly Paneer- Although fine, but a bit too spicy.
Honey Chilly Potato- Sweet and spicy, tasted good.
Butter Chicken- The creamy and buttery taste was likeable. The pieces were a bit chewy but fine overall.
This was all that I had here at Sam’s and found it good.
Have heard about their Soya Chaap which I am looking forward to trying out on my next visit.
Overall, it was a fine experience and I believe that Sam’s is doing a good job by serving items at economical rates and with a likeable taste.
Although, further enhancements of dishes is duly recommended.
I discovered this place while searching for good restaurants near rk ashram. We went there at night, the ambience was gr8 nd d crowd was also good. Chicken Achari Tikka was great. Overall quality of food is good and the place is a decent choice to hangout with friends.
The food here is good be it Lebanese , Israeli or Indian.The starters are nice to begin with. The pizzas and tandoori items are worth a try.
But on weekends , this place gets really smoky and over crowded and can be avoided unless you like it :P .
But over all , its a good place with good food and drinks !

This has to be one of the most economical bars that i have ever been to. They have a great bar menu all at very reasonable prices. Over and above this, what completely overwhelmed me was their playlist. All classics from the 70s and 80s (interestingly enough, they were playing all my personal favourites that day).
The food is equally awesome. I would strongly suggest the grilled chicken sided with boiled veggies and roasted potatoes. It was simply great.

I had been there for a birthday party... Ambience was very nice and peaceful , we spent 5 hours there and you don't have to order again and again to sit there ..they are having a separate smoking section so u don't have to go out for smoking....
We have ordered - Paneer Achari Tikka, Soya Achari Chaap, Chilly Paneer, Honey Chilli Potato and they all were very delicious ...

Honestly it's pretty good! Most places on the street are overpriced and run down. This has a good atmosphere, nice waiters, bug menu, the pizza was great and it's quite pocket friendly. Good place to duck into if you're sick of the touts hassling you.
I must say a companion to my bar paharganj...Sam's bar offer a better ambience, quality of food n crowd and better service experience.
A pocket friendly bar...if visiting in afternoon it plays soothing soft music and with least crowd adding up to ur good experience..
The only lagging factor is missing finger food like peanuts and all so u have to order proper starters with drinks..

Sam's bar was my last destination after a long evening of street exploration. Though I did not go with much hope having been disappointed in most places, this turned out to be quite the opposite. Don't know why it has such low ratings on Zomato, I definitely had a great time here.
The entry area sitting is very dimly lit, an overall dark ambience which is quite a contrast to the rear bar area which is spankily lit. I chose to remain at the dark side. The music is really good here, helps build your mood.
They have a wonderful collection of beer, and thankfully everything written on menu was available in stock, which is quite a rarity at most places. Both food and drinks are very economically priced. We asked for Fosters strong and tandoori chicken to start with.
The service was pretty quick. The portion of tandoori was enormous, knocking out our thoughts for ordering main course. The chicken was very well prepared, tender and adequately cooked. We loved it so much, repeated half more and beers. Rest of the night remains a blurry but happy memory, but would definitely love to visit again.

Veg lovers, dal makhani is one to be ordered, for chicken lovers grab all the starters you can,it's just delicious.
Since Paharganj is a place with mostly average looking cafes, this one emerges as a winner for me.
Pros - Full marks for Ambience and crowd, food is really good plus the presentation is taken care of
Cons - When I visited it, it was over crowded and a sort of mess, so we had to wait for a long time to place order and then get it served. Liquor is cheap, yet unavailability is an issue.
I would still love to visit this place for decent ambience and delicious food.

In the wall bar with locals all around. They have a really good vegetarian pizza. I was happy to see they also have corona beer. Their chicken malai tikka was delicious but slightly undercooked. Had a wonderful time here; the staff is great too!

I only stopped in the bar to have a beer, but the bar offers food as well. The beer hit the spot, and wasn’t to pricey.
The atmosphere was very relaxing. I was seated in front of the window, which faced the street. I enjoyed having a beer and watching the hectic scene below.
Loved seeing two cows casually walk down the street in front of the bar. The bar should thank the white and black cow, that was the only reason I stopped, which I then noticed the bar.
I would suggest Sam’s bar.

After searching for almost 1 hour in delhi, and was in search for a good bar aroun CP area but not too expensive nor too cheap. After searching nearby bars on google and stalked their menu for minutes. And tried searching for my oicks some are closed and others are not there, like I was searching according to the map in galis and kuchhas and can't find one. At last I ticked this place and went there and voila! with blinking signage, I finally found one. The bar was situated on 1st floor and if you're from car, parking can be difficult as it is a single lane road, too small for big vehicles and like me if you're traveling through scooty or bike, you can park it just right under. Good ambience and cheap rates of liquor. I found starters a bit and over priced as they are trying to compensate the drinks price with the food. But I am happy with the service and drinks. Sometimes beers are not available and only few will be present to satisfy you and it can be mood downer. Other than that a feel good place and not too crowded also( a tick mark for me, as I love less crowded places toooooo much). Go and have your drink now too much information. and fellas cheers🍻🥂🥃
Their strawberry lassi is excellent and their portion of omelette and toast is huge! It was a good place to do some work on my laptop and the service is quick and nice. The coffee isn’t great (just instant coffee) but still okay.

While lookin g for a cool hangout place, I end up in Sam's Cafe. The rstro & bar and hotel as well is great place with a pool table, Currency Exchange and travel booking office in the center along with a big terrace seating for a great hangout. Good food with vast options to choose from. The central flag in CP serves a great sight from the terrace.
Had the lasagna and pizza at 1 am in the night. Unparalleled ambience at that hour , and okay food .
