the interior is beautiful. the seating arrangement was comfy as well. the service was prompt. the presentation of the food was picture perfect. the staff was well dressed and well behaved. no issues with hygiene as well.

Great plates located in Mayur Vihar extension is one of the best place to have fine dinning experience. I have visited this place many a time but today I ordered their food at home.
I am really impressed by their packaging. The food was delivered really fast and warm.
In main course, I ordered
Boneless Butter Chicken along with butter naan,
Butter rotis and lacha parantha. Butter chicken too was really soft and tasty. it tasted really well with lacha parantha.

Yesterday was the second time I ordered food from Great Plates. It was Valentine's day and I had planned a good dinner for my wife. And Great Plates lived upto the name. Happy wife = Happy review :)
Jokes apart... I was not disappointed in both the ocassions. We had ordered 'Dhingri Matar Hara Pyaz', 'Paneer Butter Masala', 'Onion Kulcha', 'Paneer Kulcha' and 'Hari mirch ki roti' along with 'Dahi ke kabab'. Main course dishes were awesome. Great taste. Kulchas were soft and fully stuffed as they were supposed to be. Though the roti did not live up to the expectation. It was hard by the time it arrived. Also dahi ke kabab had a sour-ish taste so I did not like it but my wife loved them.
So overall a very good experience.
This place is bit costly if you don't have coupons else it is good. However you will find some discount. The taste is good. Briyani is awesome with different taste and it is yummy

Quite a decent place to order from if you reside in the Mayur Vihar area. The portion size is good and the prices are reasonable too. Tried their Chinese selections, the basics were done pretty well. Lots of flavor and good quantity.
Hosted a kitty party today...The food was ok but the location is pathetic. Moreover, the staff is very rude & inconsiderate.
We were so stuffed after eating snacks that we requested some sweet dish to be packed. The person in charge ( Mahinder) simply refused to do so & when we asked him to call his manager & share the number of owner. He simply refused it.
If the owner is reading this review. Kindly get your staff well trained.

Just went to this place a few days back and my take on this place in short are
LOCATION
This place is located in DLF Galleria adjacent to Star city mall which is more prominent or famous for half a dozen Beer & Wine shops. So the nearest metro station would be Mayur Vihar Extn. which is approx 150-200mtrs away from DLF Galleria. Although no particular sign board are there apart from main board which is visible from main entrance & from metro as well.
AMBIANCE
While you enter this place, for very first instance you will find it quite spacious & with their seating lined up it seems like they are more focussed in hosting parties, functions since you would be finding seating space for minimum 5-6 person. So seating for 2 person on a table which can accommodate 6 person looks odd. Place is lighted well, although i didn’t liked the way they had lighted their bar & its surrounding area. These Guys don’t have their own washrooms so just like Food Court you are prone to use washroom of DLF Galleria.
FOOD
As far as food is concerned with we ordered from Chinese cuisines consisting of 1 Main Course meal along with Hakka Noodles which i felt sufficient enough for 2 person of medium diet. Food was satisfactory keeping in mind how much quantity & what quality they offer. I would be Rating their food 4/5. And when it comes to bar they lack good brands such as Jack Daniel & Peter Scot etc.
HOSPITALITY
Yes, service was slow. For such a small order and with no rush out here it took approximately 15-20 mins. Supporting staff behaviour were below normal & evident from the fact that they brought dine-in bill after so many request & taking longer time than usual. They were always called out for some help or request.
CONCLUSION
I went there with my dad & after checking-in i realised i’m there with a wrong person since he dislike place with bar & relatively loud music, bar lights. So in a nutshell this place is best suited for a group of friends going in for a weekend dinner.
P.S : Payment charged by host for my recent visit was paid by me via HDFC Bank Credit Card. Snapshot for the same available upon request from zomato only. I don’t have any interest whatsoever in Great plates by AJ & amongst its owners.

I am also into this business and can't even think of opening a restaurant here but I shd say hats of to team great plates that they are doing wonders and sincerely they are following there tag great ambience great food and great service even though it was over crowded good job team great plates keep it up
One of the best restaurants offering good food for your taste buds in Mayur Vihar.
Portions and price also don't disappoint.
Staff is courteous and service is prompt.
No washroom inside though.
Location is isolated though at t
he back of star city mall.
A word of caution for ladies !! though there are guards placed , the only shops surrounding it are wine and beer shops and it is in an almost empty mall.
And if you need to take a leak, it'll be quite scary at night going by the secluded nature of the place
Well, this restaurant deserves bit higher review from the one in present...good ambience, good food (more of resto-bar kind), drinks pricing are pretty fair and reasonable....all total good place to hang-out with friends, does have happy hours...plus point being 15% food discount for corporates...highly recommended...

Searching for good restaurant in mayur vihar is really a tough job. after calling few restaurants of Sector 18 noida for food and reply was we dont deliver to mayur vihar area. Great Plates by AJ was the only option to order Biryani.
Biryani was flavorful and was aromatic as well but still i had much better biryani in the town.
Great Plates is another good thing that has happened to Mayur Vihar-I. At Least my experience with these guys has been really good.
I have used them only for home delivery so far but the taste & quality of food that I got was very good. I guess again the key is to know to what to order.
As a thumb rule I always visit the new place personally before placing orders for home delivery. These guys are courteous and the food is good.

Mayur Vihar Phase 1 lacks good restaurants. It has a couple of Rest-o-Bars but dozens of roadside food stalls offering unhygienic clichéd food.
Great Plates By AJ is hardly a kilometre away from Mayur Vihar Extension Metro Station. And absence of good restaurants nearby, it acts like a big fish. It attracts all those who visit to buy liquor from Starcity Mall. Being one of three restaurants in the same Mall and relatively low in price, it offers quite a range of food items with reasonable price for liquor. Though, you won't be having too many options in liquor.
I ordered Veg Fried Rice, Dal Fry and Fish Chowder. Everything was dainty. Courteous staff will help you order some of their special dishes, but it's upto you in spite of expectations. You'll also get their regular updates through SMSes about discounts on festivals. It was a nice experience overall. If I weren't in hurry, I'd check some more dishes but I saved it for some other time. It deserves a second visit.

Finding this restarunt is a bit of task..there are two malls located in district centre, star city and galleria..didn't find any sign boards for galleria mall. had to enquire the guard for the whereabouts. Only restaurant in that mall i guess..the mall is secluded...i find ambience of the restro very good and its bit of understaffed..but the staff very courteous..Food was ok to good..ordered chilli fish for starters ..it was high on salt but tasted ok.Chiken tikka masala for the mains was good along with mirchi ki roti..A good place to dine out ...Ample parking available..

It's a perfect place for a nice get together with soothing music, amazing food, courteous staff. Great ambience and vibes are just so good. Sohan, the head Manager is too polite and very attentive to guests needs. Really an asset to the Platinum Lounge. Whenever I think to hangout in East Delhi, Great Plates is one of the top most restaurant & bar which comes to my mind. I always enjoy coming here especially by the evening time. They have a great ambience here, where you will find all kind of people coming like, corporate professionals, families, group of ladies, gents, group of boys, kitty parties, birthday parties or other celebrations etc. And i have never seen any disturbances going around by the customers or the staff of the restaurant. The food is good here. The guys who serve here whom we also call as the "waiters" seems the most busy people here. They are always standing n smiling to serve their customers here. As I am a vegetarian, hence, I like honey chilli potato as the best snacks over here. Few of my friends suggested that 'chicken kebab' is good here. As being the regular customer I do expect to get some better discounts :) Otherwise, overall its a good place to hangout. Have a happy day folks.
