Excellent Food visiting for the last 35 years no regret no complain
I had chole bhature, Chole chawal, gulab jamun, all the three items were tasty and 1 of the best I had, do try when you are in old Delhi.
It was pretty refreshing to see a place that served great vegetarian food in the midst of all the great varieties of non-veg food in the area. Their Chole Palak Chawal seems like a weird combination, but it works, it really works somehow and I would definitely recommend this place for a visit.
Taking a stroll in Old Delhi has never been calm enough. And so it was this time. I went here with two of my friends for n outing coz when it comes to street food purani dilli is all i can think of! Found this very old hatti near khari baoli named gole hatti which is serving since ages and are superb in their taste.
We ordered many things and one of them was this aloo tikki which was so crispy and the dal filling in it was so yummy! It was served hot with green chutney and meethi chutney and i purely loved it!
This place is highly recommended if you'renearby chandni chowk.
Taking a stroll in Old Delhi gets tricky and messy in rain. I visited this place on a rainy afternoon. Having heard of Kulhad wale chhole chawal from a long time, visited this place finally. The presentation of chhole chawal here(chickpea and rice) is appealing, tastes good too. Though not very spicey, unlike other restaurants, it satisfies hunger in a pleasant way. The quantity is little less due to the limitation of serving in Kulhad. You would want to dig in the kulhad to find if there is any rice left in the bottom. Overall, the meal was satisfactory.

This shop used to be in Lahore which was shifted to here during partition. Famous for it's Chole palak chawal, this shop is run by a sweet unlce who tretas his customer with so much love. Must try their Chole palak chawal.
This is one of the most famous and oldest shop in purani Delhi. If u ever visit purani Delhi don't forget to visit Gole hatti. I had chole kulche there nd those were very delicious.😍
Iconic, legendry, old delhis pride, gole di hatti has been shining and standing tall amongst the gamut of restaurants in delhi. Rice kullad is simple but you will keep on digging into it until it gets empty. Chole bhature have very less spices but despite that it satiates your taste bud and craving.
Had some amazing Street style cholle Chawal here . The place is located on the corner of khari baoli and is popular for its street style food. It's quite reasonable in pricing and has a decent dhaba style arrangement . We tried Thier cholle Chawal served in Kulhad and dahi Bhalla both of them pretty good.
If you are in Chandni Chowk go visit this place. It's serves the best chole bhature with chatni and gulab jamun is to die for. It's a really old outlet and I am sure you won't be disappointed.

Food here is very tasty and everyone in the area knows this place very well.
Tried their most famous dish chole palak chawal along with the chole bhature and plain pulao.
You can ask them to serve the chole chawal in kulhad and it has a different taste to it, served with some onions and carrot pickle you will fall in love with the taste of it.
The chole bhature were also really great and there was no trace of oil in bhature. The plain pulao was not really great in taste.
One can have a proper lunch at a very cheap price here.

This is quite an old outlet that serves some lip smacking food at decent prices.
I had
Chole chawal in kulhad which was one of the best chole chawal I have ever tasted. The chole is quite unique and has a great taste to it. Onion and gajar achar is a great taste booster.
Chole bhature which again was amazing neither too heavy nor too light. It was not at all oily and tasted great.
And also pulav which I would say is quite bland but with chole it tasted great.
Overall great food reasonable price but quantity can be increased other than that it's awesome also getting a seat is quite tough.

This place is famous for palak Chawal. It's in Fatehpuri, Old Delhi. We went on Sunday for a food walk in Chandni Chowk but unfortunately we got that it's closed on Sunday. But will next time definitely to try this.

I’ve had their Chhole Bhature here and I’d loved it!
The bhaturas are soft and tasty . The chickpea curry or chhole is perfectly spiced with pomegranate( anardana) seeds powder . There’re some other accompaniments like pickled carrots and shredded onions.
The Lassi is also great- helps to wash down everything after a hearty meal!!
Tried chole bhature from this place some days back and would say was pretty average. Chole was like homemade, not too spicy. Bhature was first fried and then while serving they were cooked in tawa too. Great people like this kind of bhature but I love my bhature to be crispy and fluffy. A very old shop in Chandni CHwok.
Gole Hatti is one of the gems of Purani Delhi that you need to visit during your trip to Chandni Chowk. The delicious Chole Chawl served in a kulhad has a magic that you won't find anywhere else. The best way to complement is with a plate of Gulab Jamun. You'll feel as if you have arrived in heaven.

If ur a chole kulche fan, you ought to try the ones from here! The chole is very chole bhature like with some gravy & kulchas are the crispiest kinds. Its really pretty tasty yet distinguished.
The rasgullas are soft and u can try the fresh ones even at 11 am in the morning which is the best part!

One of the most famous shop in old delhi n a deccades old shop!! This is one of my favt joint whenever i visit chandni chowk!! My forever favourites from this place include chole bhature n chole chawal!! They r just too amazing!! The way they pour chutney n onion over rice is like cherry to the cake!! Talking about the desserts, rasmalai is my personal favt!! Rusgulla was nice!
It's probably one of the underrated vegetarian food places to eat at Chandni Chowk. I found the food much better than paranthe waali gali. The choley and rice was my favorite. Have it only if you like street food obviously :) but ultimately it's street food and hygiene is of concern. I would recommend it only if you have a strong gut.
Love the Kulhad Chole Palak chawal! The Rasmalai is very unique here( it’s like flat rasgulla submerged in Malai). These are my favs from here. Aloo Tikki was usual. Yet to try other stuffs on the menu( don’t know even if I will). Will stick to my favs I hope. Do try my favs and see if they impress you too :) P.S Don’t expect any ambiance n very warm service here 😃 My rating is for it’s food and it’s legacy!
Gole Hatti is a joint specializing in Kulhad Chhole Palak Chaawal.
Interestingly served in a clay pot called Kulhad, the dish has Rice - Chhole - Paneer topped with Carrot Pickle and Lachaa Pyaaz.

The seating is decent and better than most joints around and the owner was a friendly man who joked around too.
It was a nice experience to have food A’s even now - it’s a sit down restaurant but one has to pay and take the token for the item and be seated.

The places instantly takes you back at least 25 years with its ambience, menu, and service; and it's charming in its own way. The menu is pretty small here and you can try complete menu in just one visit. Chhole chawal and chhole kulche should not be missed. They are amazing. Dahi Bhalla are also good, but we have better options nearby. Service is quick and you can expect your whole visit to complete within 20-25 minutes. Visit for nostalgia and a feel of real Old Delhi.

Chandni Chowk is an assortment of Indian food with authentic unrevamped recipes. Gole Hatti serving for more than 30 years is an attraction of fine North Indian foods.
The ambiance is quite basic and seating is fine. What makes it best is the cleanliness, well lit and hygiene.
In Food we had,
➊ Chole Bhature. Bhature served hot but the make is totally distinctive and disappointing, unlike traditional airy oval bhature it was circumcised. The bhature was less oily is what makes it appreciable. Chole served along noticeably had less chole and the usage of lime was overly applied. Quantity was decent. Overall didn't please much.
➋ Dahi Bhalla. One of the best items in their menu. Sweetness is perfectly balanced. Bhalle felt fresh and supple. Ginger and black pepper blended into the taste. Quantity was adequete too.
➌ Rasmalai. Probably the best rasmalai serving outlet in the area. The milk was utterly fresh and curdled well till nice texture of cream. The rice cheesecake was succulent and supple. The only flaw is that they don't garnish it with anything which really needs to give it a good notch.
Overall, the outlet serves alluring delicacies and definitely the experience is quite on a good note. Service here, is certainly prompt and dishes were swiftly served. Good food at affordable amount.
I would say their USP is to serve spicy choke with palak and rice in a kulad. They way they serve this palak rice cholay makes the happening place. I really enjoyed the cholay in kulaad and I can watch out for chole bhaturay..

This place is to be visited only if you want to enjoy the old charm of chandni chowk. A simple place to sit down and enjoy their limited but taste worthy menu. My favourite is palak chole chawal. Also their alu tikki and gulab jamun are a hit.
They are center of chandi chowk. The place is quite old and serve a limited menu. Their specialties are kulhad wale chole palak chawal topped up with onion and chutney which brings out the real flavor.

Gole hatti has been known for serving different kind of Choley-Bhature, unlike regular deep-fried, oil-dripping and big bhature; it's soft, less oiled version. Rice-choley-pallak in Kullarh (clay bowl) tastes good, so is Somosa, white rasgulla and dahi-bhalla. Seating is basic.
So respect for this creation cannot be rated. I'm talking about the much awaited dish i.e. Palak Chole Chawal.

An old place to be found in Khari Baowli. Really famous for the spicey chole combinations. We had the classic chole bhature and chole chawal. The place is great for Desi and oily ( if you aren't a fitness freak) lunches :p
Visited around 3 in the afternoon to try their chole palak chawal. The dish had an old worldly taste and was delicious. It was fresh and hot and rightly spiced. Also tasted the ras malai which was homely but not really outstanding.
The best part of the place was that it had a cool sitting area and the owner was very polite.
I wanted to try 'chole kulche' but kulche were finished as i reached the place around 7.30pm but I ordered 'palak chole chawal' and they were super delicious. Service was okay and ambience is not cozy(as it's purani delhi) . Staff is cordial to talk to. All this combined with great pricing make this place a must for food lovers.
People born before 90s would remisce the old style restaurants of purani Dilli and ghante ghar..come to this shop with furniture of bygone era and food of by lands..Flavour at the top with reasonable price spot service and cleaniness . Flavours are flambyony and Flamingo style with "khade maslla" freely used. My all time favourite is the chola kilch dahi Bhalla..Also to be tried is chawal cholla ..Must try is their Ra's Malia..Which speaks of simplicity at the best tangible taste.better then any Bikaner/haldi or similar shop.

Have packed food from this place plenty before. The taste is unique and must try for once. My fav are the chholley bhature (they are not freshly made in kadai, but are pre-prepared and just heated before serving - they still taste good) and the Palak chawal. Quality is as expected (average), but the taste is good.
Packed place whenever you will visit. The waiters are not that friendly, so service is a bit laggard.

This famous place is located just at the starting of Khari Baoli. Had a quick stop over to satiate myself with their legendary Palak Chole Chawal. Served hot in Kulhads, the chawal were amazing. Palak was spicy but delightful. Will come back soon for more. The service was fast and servers were humble.
Exact location is Fatehpuri and it's where khari baoli market starts. I visited it in the morning and ordered one plate chole bhature which was for 50 rs. I would say the quantity was small and the taste was decent!

Gole Hatti is extremely famous and quite old food joint in chandani chowk. It is about 100m away from Fatehpuri Masjid. After hearing its name for too long, we decided to try their food. We ordered Chole Kulche, Gulabjamun and their iconic Chole Chawal Palak which is served in kulhar. Their chole kulche was amazing, one of the best in town. Chole were nice and spicy and kulche were soft and buttery. We do not have any words to explain theur chole chawal palak. It was a real treat for us. We liked these chole chawal served ith spinach and pickle. It was just out of the world experience. After all this we had gulabjamun to end our heavy meal. We strongly recommend this place. This is a heaven for all the chole lovers.

Its one of the oldest food joints and you just cannot miss it for its location. The only reason i go here again and again, and the complete rating is for ras malai and gulab jamun.
They have a limited menu but the dishes are pretty decent. But if you order chola chawal you will be disappointed for the quantity they serve.
On the other hand the ras malai is just lip smacking. If are only going there only for ras malai then also its worth the effort. The gulab jamun is pretty good too.
The place have a decent sitting arrangement. Its clean. Somebody is instantly there to take orders and with the same speed the orders are tabled.
A meal for two will cost around Rs.200.
I had chawal Chole palak only which they have served in KHULLAR with some pickle. Quality of the food is perfect. Taste wise I would say, mix of home and bazaar style. Service was quick. Perfect spices and flavour. If you looking for something quick service food in chandni chownk, Gole Hatti is a place to visit.

Visited gole hatti on a Saturday during lunch so it was obvious to have a lot of crowd there. Got seats in about 5 mins and I was amazed to see that the person who took the order wasn't writing anything anywhere but remembered the exact order of every table. Service was fast w.r.t. the crowd there

Dahi bhalka were amazing and rasmalai was in white color and not the regular color. It tasted a bit different than normal rasmalais I have had in past. Over all a nice place to visit and have quick and not si expensive food.
The legendary Gole Hatti serving some lip-smacking food for decades now. The ambience being the only low point but the taste compensates for everything. Famous for its Chole Chawal along with Palak Curry, though we ordered Chole Bhature and Gulab Jamun as well.
Chole Chawal was indeed hell tasty, I don't think there would be more than a few eateries in Delhi which can match to the taste of Gole Hatti. It was rich in strong flavours and for me the Palak Curry made all the difference. Chole Bhature was quite normal, nothing to boast off. Chole though was good in taste. Gulab Jamuns were damn delicious. They were very succulent and easily melted in mouth, served piping hot and had the perfect amount of sweetness.
It's a pocket friendly joint and do visit here to gorge on their Chole Chawal and other delicacies.

They serve the best chole rice 🍚 with palak curry in the city. The taste is so homemade and yummy as well. But the only thing is less quantity. I liked their dahi bhalla also. It was so soft and sweet curdy taste. One can try golden brown gulab jamun too.
Gole Hatti at Chandni Chowk has neither ambience, spices mix or the legendary name tag. But tos has voted Gole Hatti as the place which serves the best chole bhature in town. Location of Gole Hatti. Those who shop or visit Chandni Chowk regularly are familiar with this restaurant. As you walk on the street and ask anyone, what is famous about Gole Hatti, pat comes the reply Palak chole chawal. Which translates to a plate full of rice, spicy chick peas and spinach.

This is very old and famous outlet in Fatehpuri Chandni chowk. They are famous for their Chole Bhature, chawal, etc.
They have a seating arrangement of around 30 persons. Their service is good and staff is polite. The owner sits at the place and is very polite and nice.

Good place for eating food.taste is ausam. taste is always same.one time you eat food here then you came again you eat food of this restaurant you get same taste.

Place well known for Palak chole Chawal i tried it but i don't feel their is something special in it.Very basic taste with lots of garam masala.
Finger licking food - we had chhole kulche and palak - chhole - chawal here. There is a decent sitting place in this restaurant. Though the area around is dirty and unhygienic.

The Chole Palak Chawal is unique and extremely flavourful. The pickled carrots served with it are extremely different. The Chole Kulcha can be skipped. The Gulab Jamoon is the best you can find in Delhi and is only available during Winters. The Rasmalai is also extremely good and is served with the right amount of Doodh. The Samosas are fantastic and are accompanied by tangy Imli Chutney.
HYGIENE: 4/5
It is cleaner than most such restaurants in Old Delhi. The kitchen seems a little dirty but much better than most other places.
AMBIENCE:
The seating is provided in the form of Chairs and Tables. The orders are taken at the table. The ambience is quite rustic.
ACCESSIBILITY:
The place can be accessed by alighting at Chandini Chowk (Yellow Line) and subsequently on foot or by shared autos. Alight at Fatehpuri Masjid. This place is also close to Old Delhi Railway Station. Better to avoid personal vehicles as the traffic is intense and parking spaces are non existent.
PRO TIP:
Ask for the Chole Palak Chawal to be served in a Kulhad with extra Gajar Aachar.
