Since my childhood i have had alot of pizzas and chowmein out here .. everything is pocket friendly and the taste is your own desi pizza chowmein wala still i love it so much . Must try - any pizza and chowmein dont really like the spring rolls or pav bhaji and burger

So, this a very famous place for Chinese. I recently tried their spring rolls and tbh it was not good at all. I won't recommend it but yes I guess they serve the best pizza. Will try that soon.
This is a gem for all people who love chinese and they recently shifted in the Deep market towards the front side so parking is not an issue now.Not just they serve great chinese cuisine but they have also got great pav bhaji and burgers.
I love to have their spring rolls, pav bhaji and noodles and have been eating it for more than 15 years now.

I have been going to Shankar's for the last 20 years or so. Its obviously not that 'Hygienic' a place. There is not much space to park your car or stand and eat. Not much for ambience !!!
But whatever might be the negatives,it more than makes it up with the awesome taste. The pizzas are yummy and crunchy. The pav bhaji is tangy and the spring rolls are absolutely mouth-watering.
Overall, a must visit for foodies.
We were looking for an economical outlet to have a quick bite and that's when we came across this place which doesn't look so good and is a take away but the food tastes amazing and with all the choices that spoil you, it's not even heavy on your pocket. Must try when at Deep market!

Small chinese shop located near deep market. There spring rolls are really very nice. They dont have any sitting arrangement, take away or eat on the go. Average local chinese shop where you can attack for your evening snacks.
well its a place to go if you are a food lover. cause this place really serves full desi and authentic chinese food !! and pizza with a home made feel and loaded with cheez. the pizza they serve i have seen in dominos and pizzahut ads onlyy. so its that much loaded. this place is the best example of being cheap and best and on the same hand superb in matter of taste ,quantity, and quality of foood.

Its chow mien and burgers are a must to try. Located just outside the deep market, it is easily accessible and a much favorite for ashok vihar people. As well as, many from near by places like model town, Shalimar bagh do visit as well.

A roadside eating joint in Ashok Vihar, on the backside of Deep market. I never miss a chance to have my favourite SPRING ROLLS here at Shankar's.
Pao bhaji and pizza are also quite good here. But no match to their Spring rolls. Perfectly crispy, delicious filling, served with the very tasty mint sauce.

This is like the first fast foo ld corner i have known. Its a very small roadside eating joint that serves amazing hotdogs and pizzas. It is always packed with young students and families too. It serves amazing fast food at reasonable prices.
What can you say about a food stall which has been around since forever and sells fast food - Pizzas ,footlongs,burgers,Chinjabi dishes by keeping the taste and the quality, quantity too; intact over so many years. All you can really say is that this joint has pulled off something very difficult to achieve.
Its LOCATION adjacent to the Ashok Vihar Post Office is a very busy one,compounded by the throng of people who wait for Shankar to deliver to their cars. The PRICES are very affordable, you get good value for your money. The taste is better than what you get on most road side stalls. Don't go expecting too much in terms of flavors, hygiene and quality of the sauces etc and you wont be disappointed.You certainly get what you pay for,which is more than what you can say for scores of places in Delhi.

One of the best small outlet that I have ever went. I have eaten spring rolls at different restaurants but Shankar spring roll is one of the best with some namkeen, lemon and onion with some masala spread over it .Must have given 5 stars but its location is not good it as at back side of central market.
Been visiting here since 20 years. Best veg spring roll in all of Delhi (at that price). A must try. Also worth having pav bhaji, veg pizza (the cheese just elongates) and burger.
A small shack behind Deep Market famous for its Pao Bhaji and Pizza. Also offering variety of chinese food. I go there to have the Spring Rolls which are one of the best I have ever tasted. Everything else also taste fine but not bad at all. No seating and even difficult to find a place for your car so you have to stand and enjoy your meal. The prices are fair but the quantity they offer is something you cannot complain about. Its very much specially the noodles and spring rolls. Give it a try and you might find a place for spring rolls.

if u talk about taste... it is much better than any small fast food centre.. and the plus point is that it is pure vegetarian which is rare in the category of this type of shops. must try item is Pao Bhaji, cheap and best. pizza, burger and noodles are also good. on the negative side, there is no home delivery and if u go there in peak time than u have to wait for more than a hour, sometimes. in addition no sitting facility expct 2-3 table on the busy road. preferable to go in car n eat inside .

Opened in somewhere around early 90's...this small shack started delivering some really tasty pao bhaji at that time...nowadays selling a wide variety of snacks like pizzas and burger...beware..u have to still wait long for the orders..

I live in ashok vihar itself and believe me the food they serve is amazing. Though you might not like it from the hygiene point of view but it is easy to the pocket and also the flavours are good. A place one must try.

This most certainly is a hidden gem in ashok vihar because of their yummy and very different home cooked style pizza.
It is just a delight to see the cheese oozing out of their delicious pizza's, sprinkled with a little chaat masala. Wow it is definitely different and also much more pocket friendly than your dominos and pizza hut. No pizza is more than 120 bucks.
Many pizza places have come and gone but this guy has maintained the taste and quality of his pizza's so a must try for all big foodies.

Shankar is the name of the owner and he started this place maybe 20 or 25 years back. It has its loyal patrons who throng to this place from as far as rohini.
Be it a mere aaloo patty or pav bhaji or pizza ,all things are a notch above when compared to any other place. Everything is made when ordrd ,and no need to wry about stale food being served to you as there is no food left at the end of the day.

Shankar has been a hotspot in Deep Market.built in a makeshift hut this place offers value for money food!!Starting with the pizzas, their quantity pizza toppings beat any international pizza chain.Ordered for a butter special pizza and it was all topped with loads of cheese, tomato, onion and mushroom. The spring rolls are a must try too!!The chowmein was tasty and good in quantity as well(a bit oily though). All the items are very freshly prepared.
Verdict: Please switch to this place rather than going to Dominos etc if u r nearby.
I like its burger, pizza and chowmein.. for people living in ashok vihar and nearby areas, it is not a bad option.. its a small corner but has been serving people from at least 8 years.. the problem is parking ..but its good for a change from master bakers sometimes.. only good for some snacking time..
The best in fast food in Ashok Vihar, after Master Bakers. The Singapuri Chowmein and Spring Rolls are lip-smacking. Avoid Chilly Potato. The price-quantity too is well-matched. The only problem is that there are always too many people.

Ever since the inception of all this fast food 15 years ago , with all the rates of the branded fast food chain being too pricey and high shankar has been our saviour. The prices have always been pocket friendly but dont expect for too much quality or hygiene . The taste has always been amazing and dont compare it with the branded places . I am going there since my childhood. Still do. The prices are so pocket friendly. They tend to serve in the car as well. Pav bhaji and Singaporii Noodles is my favorite. Value for money. Is located on a running road. Parking is sometimes an issue.
The place has some good food and is quite economical. I had some spring rolls and momos which were pretty good. Had a street style burger too which was okayish. With a good location this place can be tried for some good chinese and street side food.
