This place is for famous for it's north indian spicy dishes like chicken and paneer. We have also tried their Chicken rara last which was too yumm and this time i ordered veg tawa delight combo which includes:-
1. Tawa paneer tikka masala
2. Tawa veg pulao
And they serve it with their special butter til naan. If you love sipcy north indian you should try at least once. Over all it was nice. 🙂🙂
Ordered egg curry from this outlet after reading the positive reviews.
The egg curry had a good blend of spices. Though not spicy, it was flavourful. The only thing which troubled me was the fact that there was a thick layer of oil floating over the curry. Had to remove it before eating. I would request the management to use less oil as it just goes waste. :)
As we went out for a outing with our family and yet we were very confused about out lunch ,i saw this place on zomato and ordered panner tikka masala which was super amazing and tawa soya tikka pulao was the star of that lunch

We had ordered two chicken malai tikka combos, two mutton curry tikka combos and one paneer tikka combo. The food was very good. Dal makhni, chicken malai tikka, paneer tikka, butter naan, lachha parantha, green chutney all were very good. The mutton curry though was not up to the mark. The quantity of each combo was also quite sufficient. Delivery was also in time.
Recently tried their dal makhni.. it was amazing.. butter naan was soft and well made and I am so happy with their quality and service. Kudos!!

Ok so starting with the review for this restaurant, it was absolutely a delight to eat from here.
I ordered food at home from here, and the delivery was pretty quick. The food was delivered in just a few minutes.

Achari chicken tikka:
Yummy chicken tikka, with achari flavour. Nice and well cooked chicken. It had perfect amount of spices, as required.

One of the best dal makhni’s i have tried as off now. Perfectly cooked, really tasty, with perfect spices. Loved it.
Tawa paneer tikka masala:
Nice masaledaar paneer dish. A delight to taste. Well cooked and well prepared paneer. The paneer was soft enough.
Tawa chicken tikka masala:
Yummy chicken tikka masala. Soft and juicy chicken pieces. Well cooked with perfect amount of spices.
Breads:
Garlic naan:
Soft and well made naan. It had perfect amount of garlic which was neither more nor less. Liked it.
Lachha parantha:
Soft and served hot lachha parantha. It was made very well. Really liked it as well.
Overall, the experience at this restaurant was pretty satisfying and i would surely order from this place again in the near future. It was a total delight to try this one. Loved it.

I have finally found my ideal soya chaap Roll here at Sardar’s Tawa Gali.
The menu is quite vast and most dishes sound super appetising which is why I will definitely be ordering from these guys again.
The rates are not steep which is great because I am always on a lookout for reasonable places as I mostly order out during lunch time.
Coming down to the food, they have perfectly portions meal combos which is great.
I don’t like my Indian food to be greasy, these guys can take instructions and moderate their grease according to that.
I ordered Soya Tikka Roll which was lucky, absolutely non greasy and well flavoured. The Rumali was soft and warm and the Roll was just filling. I quite enjoyed not having oil dripping down which is usually the case with such orders.
My friend ordered a Paneer curry which was slightly greasier than my liking but delicious never the less.
Packaging is basic and quality is good.

Today i had my lunch here at this outlet. It is near to my friends place so she took me their to have some food. She told me that she always order from here.
As we are in the mood of proper lunch , we ordered Chicken curry , Tawa paneer tikka masala and in breads we ordered garlic naan and tandoori roti.
The "Tawa paneer tikka masala" was super lit. The flavours were really good the spices were perfectly balanced. Chicken curry was also good , the chicken was soft and marinated. The breads were soft and easy to chew.
The prices were also pocket friendly and the food was dope.
Most of the time I ordered from this restaurant but this time they have introduced some new rice box so i decided to try them.
I ordered one dal makhni rice box , one butter chicken rice box and my all time favorite fried rice.
The food was delivered on time and the packing of the containers are excellent. There were no chances of spilling at all.
Talking about the taste both the rice box were really good. I like the chicken one more because i am a die hard fan of chicken.

We ordered Soya Chaap Tikka. Have ordered soya chaap was different restaurants but the one here is better than the others. Will recommend and order again.
Recently we ordered food for a night stay at my friend's house from this place and it was a wonderful experience. The place was barely 3KM away and had served the food hot and fresh.
We had ordered a chicken seekh roll, a Tawa Soya Tikka Masala, chicken lababdar and Tawa Soya Tikka Roll. For breads, we had ordered two Garlic Naans.
The chicken seekh roll was done up in a rumali with onion and mint chutney properly surrounding the chicken seekh which was adequate in portion size.
The Tawa Soya Tikka Masala was spicy with a thick cream topping that added to the texture. It wasn't a complete curry, but the texture was still pretty smooth.
The tawa soya tikka roll was very decent with a good amount of soya tikka rolled up in the rumali. I prefer the seekh tikka roll over the soya tikka roll though.
The garlic naan wasn't overdone with garlic, also the bread was crisped and tandoored properly!

They have a variety of momos. Tried three flavour- achari, afghani and chilli. Achari was zesty and chatpata. Afghani had a very nice and cream marination. Chilly momos were made in chilly chicken style.... all of them were really good. Would recommend this place to everyone.

I recently ordered from this place and the taste is really good. They serve North Indian food full of flavours. I ordered paneer tikka, tawa paneer tikka masala roll, afghani momos, garlic naan, Malai kofta and pudeena paratha. All the dishes were very good and this place is a must try. Tried veg afgani momos and tandoori aloo both the items were outstanding and there taste is soo nice and tandoori aloo very well prepared even momos doesn't have extra cream still it's taste is soo good as I can get vegetables in every bite.
I ordered murgh makhanwala along with pudina Naan and garlic Naan.
They will prepare the chicken the way you prefer tomato tangy-sweet /salty ;just let them know in your instructions.

Defence colony is a place where you can have loads of tempting and mouth watering food and i found one such place, Sardar’s Tawa gali. Don’t miss this whenever you are in south delhi. Travelling to this place would be worth it.
I had their paneer lababdaar, the perfect gravy with pretty soft paneer pieces and the perfect spiced gravy.
Also their tawa paneer roll is a must have. Served in a lachha paratha, even though I am a non vegetarian lover, this roll was no less than satisfying me to that extent.
Also the packaging has been taken care of nicely.
If you are a fan of tawa chicken, then this is the place to be. Tried their chicken pataka. It was amazing. They make it on a live tawa right in front of customers..it was an awesome experience to watch the chef making it. Keep it up
I am big fan of the simple old chicken curry. But these days it is very difficult to find it. A friend suggested me to try chicken curry at Sardar's Tawa Gali. It's a take away joint in defence colony and I am thankful to my friend for recommending me this place ...their chicken curry has got amazing flavours and they have not overdone it by making it every spicy or filling it up with cream. They have kept it exactly how it used to be in old times....kudos
Heard a lot about this place so tried 3 items. Chicken kalmi, chicken Burra and soya malai Chaap. All of them were very good and perfect blend of flavours. Will definitely recommend it to everyone.

This place serves the most amazing delicacies. There tawa items are out of the world. Tried Tawa Brain and Tawa Gurde Kapure Kaleji. It's the best I have ever had.
In a food lane of Def Col, this place is located at the corner serving delicious tandoori snacks at its best.
We tried three things which are every home's favourite in the evening:
1. Afghani momos : these were just perfect in terms of taste, texture, cream, chutney.
I mean it's been a while I have had such a good tasting momos. Quantity was very good.
2. Soya chaap tikka which were cooked really well and were really cheesy.
3. We tried Paneer Tikka roll too which was not a usual Maida roll, but tandoori roti.
It was just a homemade flavoured roll which was really stuffy and good to eat.
All these within 600 rs only and quantity was really sufficient for two!
Looking forward to visiting this place again for evening plate of momos.

On my short visit to Delhi recently my friend took me to this place to grab some quick bite...While he indulged on some chicken kalmi and mutton burra (which he enjoys a lot here being his fav) I grabbed myself some chilli and tandoori momos..Must say it tasted great..Would recommend this place for a bite.
Next visit I have already planned to try out the main course.
If you looking out for yummy tawa delicacies in town then this place is the best place to have all the scrumptious food , during my visit to delhi i had tawa veg pulao which was adorable , so fresh , also had chicken methi malai which was just amazing , a must try , Tawa Gurde kapure kaleji and tawa brain masala is also a yummy option if you a hardcore vegetarian , best part is they deliver also , so grab up the tawa delicacies from this superb place.

Would've given a 6/5 if I could. Love how they've priced their menu and the generous quantity they serve. Love the packaging, my food came in before time. Dal butter fry: I assumed it would've been yellow dal tadka but it was someother dal fry which was absolutely delicious. Satiated three hungry souls! Paired up with their butter garlic naan and rumali roti which was soft and delicious.
Tawa chicken tandoori masala: forget your conventional butter chicken and kadhai chicken, this dish was a dry curry version of kadhai chicken. It was absolutely delicious. I really liked how the chicken pieces were huge. They were perfectly sized. It tasted heavenly! Will definitely order this dish again!
Afghani chicken tandoori momos: the contact person at the restaurant suggested I try this over fried chicken momos, and definitely glad I made the call. Such creamy, delicious Afghani gravy in perfectly tandoored momos! However for a while I couldn't make out whether I was eating chicken momos or vegetarian ones, so might want to increase the chicken content in the stuffing. They tasted lovely though
Thanks for also sending generous amount of chutneys and onions. Any meal is incomplete without them and restaurants generally don't comply with sending a good quantity.

I was craving for some spicy mughlai food and just going through zomato's long list of restaurants, when i swiped this place, it is in defence colony, quite near my house and after looking at the name and menu, i thought of giving ita try, and without a doubt, the food was just great.
I ordered food for the family and everyone liked it. We ordereed for:-
Chicken Barra - Roasted chicken with barra flavors, marinated in amazing spices and giving you the taste of a lifetime. It was hot, juicy and just full of amazing mouth watering flavors, you need to have it to believe it.
Gurde Gabure and Kaleji - A tawa delicacy with a mix of gurde, gabure and lamb kaleji, it was spicy, tangy and the taste of all the ingredients came out so good that it came out to be a marvelous one. The taste was like fireworks in mouth and just made me want to have more and more.
Chicken Rara - Chicken in keema gravy, cooked to perfection, with tangy flavors. The gravy was thick and the chicken was tender, flavors just soaked right into it and took it a notch up. It was delivered piping hot and the chicken, again a dosh to order again.
Garlic Naan - A naan so amazing that i wanted to have more of it, the garlic was spread evenly and the naan was cooked well too.
The food that i was served woth, was just amazing and full of flavors that will surely make me want to order from that place again. You need to have such amazing food to know it, great food and taste to remember.
I love trying out new places, and very recently I came across Sardar's Tawa Gali and decided to order some North Indian food. The delivery was right on time. The packaging was leak proof. And the food was piping hot when it arrived. All the three things that a delivery outlet must have.
Coming to the food, do try their Garlic Butter Naan. It's the BEST I have never tried. Literally. You'll love it.
As for other dishes, I tried Kadhai Paneer and Dal Makhani which tasted pretty good too. Also, I loved the Keema Naan which was served with gravy. One naan is enough for two people, it's that filling. And very very delicious.

Flavour was mended within mushrooms in such a good way, i like this dish the most. The whole mushroom masala was rolled into a tandoori roti which also makes it filling and enough to fill 1 stomach.

Extremely thick and tender tawa chap gravy rolled in tandoori roti makes quite a good meal on the go.
Achaari Paneer Tikka
It felt like bit of uncooked which can be due to obvious reasons as it pretty much cold weather in delhi and it delhi.

I just say this place on Zomato and it had a really good rating so thought of ordering food from here, the food came in no time and even was fresh and hot full . Even the garlic naan came hot and fresh and eatable usually naans are not in an edible condition by the time they came home but it was specially recommended by them so I had to order this and it was a truly special recommendation for everyone.

Truly im not joking one of the best dal makahani I had , since the first time I have orderd form here dal makahani is a must in my order and highly recommended to every one that you must try . Seriously have been to 10000s of places but this comes in top 5 for dal makahani.

Great quality gravy and chicken was being used and also had a great taste . Came home hot and fresh didn't even had to reheat it .

Okay to start off with this place is one of the best for kebabs and tandoori items. It is a must visit if you are an ardent fan of mughlai cuisine or the rich and succulent Punjabi food. The food has the right amount of spice blend and just melts in your mouth.

Amazing food. Love chicken Kalmi and chicken burra. Fish finger is the best. Also try their dad. Makhni and butter chicken along with garlic naan
Quite picket friendly and nice place to have food.. Chicken momos are the best you would find in this area. Food is cooked very nicely. Overall a nice place.
Everytime I think of having Punjabi food, this is the place which plays in mind. Delicious food, awesome service. Punjabi dishes will never disappoint you here.

Being a vegetarian I was wondering if I’ll have anything on the menu that would interest me . To my surprise I had a huge variety to pick from . I tried Tawa Paneer Tikka Masala and with no second thoughts I know I’m coming back to this place to order the same . Loved it!

So we got the menu dropped to our office, and we decided to take the risk.
Firstly, I am big fan of Tawa Brain, an item which is not very difficult to cook, but requires the right precision in cooking, which I found to perfect at Sardar's Tawa Galli. Not many places in Delhi are able to even serve or cook tawa brain.
Secondly, their Malai Tikka is to simply die for, I have in more than 25 years of living in Delhi never eaten a more tender and perfectly cooked chicken malia tikka. (One has to order this)
My appetite made me further explore their Tawa Palao - Mutton. I was amazed that how mutton rice, with the perfect blend of tawa masala's can make it taste so flavoursome. Being a Biryani lover, I was but apprehensive, but the fact that the first two items were so good, i just simply had to try it and it was definitely worth it.
And last but not the least the Tawa Gurde Kaleji, a dish which is scarce to this part of the city. I have only had it Old Delhi. Though I only ordered it based on the suggestion of the owner, Sahil, to which I may add is very good in assisting his customers, and was right. The dish was perfect to taste and I have not enjoyed such brilliant Tawa items in a long time.
Sardar’s Tawa Gali, This restaurant is situated in Defence Colony, one of the highest-flying province of South Delhi. With a well-brought-up ambience this place offers remarkable North Indian and Mughlai cuisine and explicitly tawa dishes are the area of expertise of this eatery.
I went there with my friends for a weekend dinner,

1. Tawa Chicken Tikka Masala
2. Tawa Brain Masala
3. Tawa Soya Tikka Masala
4. Tawa Pulao Mutton
5. Chicken Curry
6. Bhuna Gosht
7. Lemon Herb Chicken
I would say the food had very well balanced savors, keeping the essence of the authentic Tawa Cooking technique alive in pocket friendly prices, usually Tawa dishes fails to impress my palate by this one was certainly different and has created an urge in me for more of such delicacies.
Food was served with great warmth.
Would strongly recommend this place in Defence Colony.

One of the very few outlets whose menu caught my eye almost immediately. I must say, the menu certainly seems very promising and full of variety.
The food was delivered on time and was neatly packed. I must say I couldn’t fault anything in my ‘extra’ extravagant meal from here. I ordered -
• Malai Soya Chaap - Perfect creamy preparation, charred perfectly. The soya was soft and tender. A perfect appetiser to kick start a lovely meal.
• Chicken Dhania Adraki - Excellent preparation. I am not usually excited by a lot of ginger in my food, but dish got me to like its flavour. Good sized, succulent, absolutely tender and juicy pieces of chicken in a lip smacking gravy rich in flavours of coriander and ginger. Very different from the regular non veg mains like kadhai chicken, butter chicken, etc. Definitely worth trying!
• Mutton Rara - Mutton pieces prepared in a keema curry - just the meaty dish needed to complete my meal. Extremely flavourful and grainy texture in a thick gravy. Prepared in a rich typical punjabi ‘tamatar-pyaaz ka masala’ the mutton didn’t require any side bread. Delicious and must have.
• Dal Makhni - No meal can be complete without this one and neither can an indian cuisine serving outlet be rated without having tried this dish. Loved the preparation. Classic, rich and creamy; tasted best with a crispy mirchi parantha.
• Afghani Chicken - Rich creamy preparation, the chicken pieces were absolutely tender and juicy. The chicken was well charred and added a lovely smokey flavour to an otherwise creamy and buttery preparation.
• Chicken Barra - I ordered this purely on the basis of the reviews. In my experience so far, I have never had a chicken barra that has matched the preparation and taste of a mutton barra. To my surprise, this one was at par. Extremely delicious preparation, rich is black pepper. Charred and grilled to perfection. Went extremely well with spicy onion.
Breads -
• Garlic Naan - Big shoutout to this one. It wasnt only topped with garlic and kalonji, it was even filled with garlic. Extremely delicious.
• Mirchi Parantha
• Pudina Parantha
I’m saving the tawa specialities for my next time. I had a great meal overall. A big shoutout to Mr. Sahil who ensured I had a quality experience. All the best!!

Beware - Tawa Gali is an addiction for food lovers.
Not only non vegetarians but Vegetarians also have a wide access to the delicacies here. If you happen to talk to Ishpreet or Sahil ( the owners )they can customise your taste and happily do the tweaks you want.Tawa paneer tikka and tawa soya tikka are awesome .Dhaniya paneer adraki and garlic naan are great too.
Well the def col flyover market is full of food joints but Sardars tawa Gali is a welcome surprise as a lot of attention has been paid to quality and taste.
So far So good and I hope they keep my taste buds happy in future too !

Defence Colony is a well heeled zone situated in central South Delhi, built in 1960s for ex-defense service people. Today, Defence Colony marketplace is an abode to around twenty eateries and bistros, other than top of the line shops. On very eager urging of my brother we went to this newly opened eating joint called Sardar’s Tawa Gali, This restaurant serves North Indian and Mushlai cuisine as its forte which has an affluent aromatic preparation and just unrivaled taste of flavors.
We tried Tawa Chicken Pataka, Tawa Brain Masala, Makhanwala Chicken, Chicken Dhania Adraki, Chicken Jugalbandi, Bhunna Gosht and Mutton Rara. Firstly I just tried Chicken Dhania Adraki as an appetizer and after that I could not resist myself and ordered like a king as I got so keen that I would have tried all the dishes present in the menu if it would have been possible for me. The food was super duper amazing in taste, quality and quantity. I haven’t tried this eminence of flavors in Delhi before.
I appreciate the taste and hospitality of this outlet and would strongly recommend to others.

I went to this place while visiting Delhi as some of my friends had suggested it to me. The paneer is so fresh and soft that it melts in your mouth. The menu is filled with lip smacking dishes and each is a must try.
