On this Holi my relatives gift us pack of Gujiya from Mahendra sweets. The Gujiyas are really good in taste.
Inside this Gujiyas there is lot of dry fruits and many more things❤️😍
I got so refreshed after spent hours in shopping. I love this place and I visit there everytime I go for shopping in sarojini. Bhalle papdi is my favourite and I also tried Raj kachori which was also so mouth watering. They have very good menu and well cooked healthy food. I recommend this place to everyone.. Go and visit mahendra sweets if you want some great food in between your shopping. So in loved with this place ❤😍
Heya mere bhukkad friends,
Whenever I went for shopping with my sister in Sarojini, this place is my first priority to have good food at affordable price.i frequently repeats my order every time, I love their deluxe thali, pyaaz Kachori with aalo sabzi and rajma chawal,
All food items are very good in taste and quite fresh as well.
But there is lack of sitting arrangement there and they need to fix it, over all every time I enjoy their service.
A big thumbs up 👍 from our side

Thank you 😊
Today during shopping i had visited this store and bought SAMOSA & CHOLE BHUTURA. Bother were good. Specially there samosa. Chole bhutura was good but bit expensive compare to there taste and quality. But nice place for snacks.

My go to place after shopping in Sarojini. One thing that I order always is Chole Bhature and I find the same taste always - spicy, full of flavors and just too good. Tried their pav bhaji recently and was totally impressed. Do try this outlet of you're planning to visit Sarojini market.
Great place with a variety of food items available.
AMBIANCE: The place is a buy and eat shop, with few seatings available outside, standing tables. You need to buy coupon from counter and then take your dish from particular counter.
FOOD: A variety of Indian chaats and street food is selled here. From Delhi6 chhole bhature to Rajasthani Raj kachori, Patti and fried samosa etc. All tastes good and served with sides.
SERVICE: The staff is welcoming, and fast service. Since it's a rush place they don't interact a lot.
VALUE FOR MONEY: After and from a hustle and bustle shopping streets of Sarojini Market this places gives one a perfect spot to relax, eat and regain energy. The prices aren't high and cheap in fact. When nearby you can eat at this place.
Best Place For Eating Chole Bhature In Sarojini Nagar Market..This Market Is Reallg Big And You Time For Shopping And This Is The Best Place Your Refuelling Yourself😜..Must Try Their Chole Bhature And Aloo Paratha And Kachori..They Serve Chole Bhature With Chach Which Is Very Refreshing..
Located centrally at Sarojini Nagar Market, this shop serves Indian dishes & snacks right from early morning till late night hours. We have tasted many items here & found everything aptly delicious. “Chhole-bhature with chhach” is our all-time favourite here & is particularly recommended.
I never knew about this place until I ate my birthday cake. Their cakes are so good and yummy. Loved it to the core of my heart. It melts in the mouth. I can't resist myself from having more and more of it.
This sweet shop is located in Sarojini Nagar. They serves quality and decent sweets over the years.I have tried their Besan Barfi, it's lovable and amazingly tasty.Motichur laddu was also enjoyable.
Too much delicious and very economic choley-bhature Nd chaach when you are on shopping and want some economic food as compared to Haldiram this is the best place.
This place is famous in New Delhi for different varieties of sweets and Delhi Chaats. So i ordered Samosa, Dahi papdi, jalebi and pethas. So I started with Samosa, Taste was totally different from other samosa but I really enjoyed for having these kind of Samosa. Then I tried Dahi papdi taste was good and little sour. First Tym I tried hot jalebi, it was so sweet that feel to having jalebi again and at last I ordered angoori petha which was totally different from other pethas. So I really enjoyed for having Delhite food.
One of the famous halts of Sarojini Nagar Market, Mahendra is the only good sweet house. Others things which are a crowdpuller are the papri chaat, pav bhaji and the Raj kachori.
That cake has a great look, tasty amongst all. Made my day, it was my sister’s birthday and what a cake. Fast delivery! Made the day and saved the day. Thanx alot Mahendra Sweet Corner. Everyone visit this place, crowdy a bit. Cheers!
Aloo tikii was amazing....toppled with dahi
Dhaniya chole and onion
Perfect combination for chaat lovers
Do try this and tell me how did u like it
This place is near my home whenever i feel hungry i get there and eat my favourite chaat .. aloo tikki and chole bhature are my favourite other things are average but there cakes and sweets are very good and of good quality
Tried pani puri and papdi chaat, pani puri was very spicy but papdi chaat was yum. Quick delivery and the staff is also good. Best place to try street food in Sarojini market.
The best resturant that serves food which tastes just like your mother's home made food. The rajma chawal, chole bhature, butter naan, gol gappe, chat, pav bhaji all these items tastes really good. The best part is that during navratri they serve food without garlic and onion. Kudos to the theists out there. 😜
This place is located in sarojini nagar satisfies your tummy to the core. they serve some awesome street food but with hygiene and very much reasonable. also they have some awesome cakes which are hard to grab as they run out of stock as soon as they are made available because of their softness and amazing presentation.. A 2 pound cake approx 900gms is so reasonable here. Only Con- No sitting space. Find yourself lucky if you find one across the shop..
One of the best places for street food in Delhi. Food is totally drool-worthy with a very very nominal pricing. I just couldn't get over with the gol gappas, Pav bhaji and choley bhature. Bringing true flavours of the streets, this place is always flocked with people.
Bestest burfi I have ever had :)
This Lauki or Ghiya (Bottle Gourd) burfi is soo much appetizing 😍
It's soft, not very sugary, and above all its so tasty that I could eat the whole pack.
A must try!! And you will surely love it 😘
I have heard about this place a lot. People say that their sweets are extremely good and yes it is. Gulab jamun is really tasty. All the sweets are kept fresh. Bengali sweets are a must try. I bought cake too from here but that was just okay not too good.
This place has a nice variety of both snacks and sweets. So we tried both. Talking about their sweets, ras malai was good, so was raj bhog but chaina toast was too sweet for our taste buds. We found some sweets reasonable but some were actually overpriced. In snacks, tikki and raj kachori were really good. While chole samosa was not at all nice. Chole were too oily and there was no chutney and dahi.
There is no seating and the staff was also not very friendly.
Here is the final review
Taste- 3.5/5
Service- 3/5
Ambience- 3.5/5
Presentation- 3.5/5
Value for money- 3/5
One of the oldest sweet shop in Sarojini nagar been going there for the last 15 years. And have to say in theses years there quality has only increased in value which is rare for an outlet. Sweets here are great not to mention the snacks they offer. There paneer samosa and jalebis are awesome and so is anything and everything they serve. Come for a quick bite if u are in sn 🙂🙃
A very old shop in Sarojini nagar market. Have been visiting it for over a decade now.
No sitting inside but there are a few tables outside.
Makes fresh chole bhature, jalebis and samosas every time there's a new order. Nice sweets must try the Gulab jamun bread pakora and kesar milk in the evenings. Very filling and easy on pocket.
Must try
#Cheers

Having lived all my life in Sarojini Nagar, I grew up on healthy helpings of sweets and snacks from Mahender Sweets House! It's the taste of my childhood. I still crave Gulab Jamun, Kalakand, Rasmalai, Kaju Katli, hot Jalebis and Samosas from this place! I remember this place as just being a shanty on the corner of Babu Market. Now it's a swanky place after decades of serving good quality Indian delicacies. Although, the guy, who sits behind the counter, needs an attitude adjustment, the goods more than make up for it!

It is a decent place. Service is good.We had-
1. Pav Bhaji - It was pretty good. The best thing about their Pav Bhaji is that they put lots of ghee over Bhaji which makes it more tempting. Do try their Pav Bhaji.
2. Gol Gappe - They were ok ok. Not that good.
I give them excellent ratings because their Batura's are super fresh no matter when you have them The kitchen is open for you to see them make Galebi's are also freshly mAde when ever ordered and do try the lassi you will love it for sure
Best Part-- they let me make galebi's along with them when I requested
I have been eating from Mahender Sweets for over a decade now and I have liked most of their items. The only complaint I have is the frequent surge in their prices. Mahender has a wide range of food items and I have literally tried all of them! Their speciality is obviously sweets. The classic items I like are Dahi Bhalla, Chhole Bhature, Samose, Puddings, Jalebi, Chocolate Truffle pastry and Kaju Barfi. In the last few years, they have added a Chinese station, Chaat station and Chuski Station. In winters, they also have Kesar Milk and Sweet Corns. They have recently introduced Indian main course items like Rajma Chawal, Chhole Chawal, Kadi Chawal, Thali etc. They also have bakery items and birthday cakes. Their shop also sells party hats and such stuff. All in all, its a good place to eat in SN!
P.S. They do not have a seating area so it is wise to takeaway and eat at home/car or the benches across the shop.
Food is quiet nice Nd budget within the pocket ...and specialty jalebi so itz a must try ...and you also try pahadi chaat, rasmalai etc for their even the cakes they have are amazing
We tried only jalebi, it was awesome. Very juicy! There were many other items we wanted to taste like burger samosa, cutlet etc but due to lack of time, we didn't try. They were looking amazing! I will definitely go there when I go to sarojini market again.
The backbone of Sarojini nagar shoppers & residents !!
The sweet shop is one of the oldest and biggest in Sarojini Nagar market. While living nearby, it was a one stop source for all the snacks serves for guests and eating joint when we went shopping. It has satiated hunger of countless shoppers and hundreds of government families living all around\
#ambiance : 3
Its still a corner shop with halwai sitting outside, deep frying snacks and preparing fresh dishes. You will mostly be eating on the pavement or standing at one of the make shift tables. Its very dirty as plates are strewn all around and stray dogs abound
Its the atmosphere and the accomplishment after a long hard day at the market that you feel the most of the food
#service : 3.5
Average and prompt. QSR style
#price : 3.5
It used to very economical but slowly the prices have risen. Its still one of the better options considering quality of snacks
#food : 3.5
#samosas: really good. Definitely try
You can give a miss to chole bhature, pav bhaji and other north india snacks.
Try chinese as its better than its pav bhaji
Sweets: Good. You can buy some to eat later at home
You will ultimately come here whenever you are in SN market !!
CHHOLE BATHHURE MUST!!
Pav Bhaji and Gol Gappe!
A m a z i n g
I got so engrossed in eating that forgot to even click a picture! Only drawback is that, there is no sitting area! But the food is worth the stand!
Me and my friends went for Chhole Bathhure for two days consecutively! Although it's really far from where we actually were.
Definitely, both the thumbs up!
Every kid has plenty of imaginative and ambitious plans of what he wants to be as a grown up. Well, for a point of time I wanted to be a dacoit, raiding one sweet shop after another in Kolkata. This silly dream of mine came back as a flash of memory and brought a smile as i stood eating at Mahender sweets house. Most places have stories, this one has legends, and i have heard many of them from the times of how it used to be when Late Shri Mr. Mahender used to run the shop. I stood there examining like a kid, the wide variety of mouth watering, hard to resist sweets in display. After eating some and having tears o joy we decided to get dinner packed. So we got ourselves Burger samosas, Cutlet Samosas, Paneer kulcha and gajar ka halwa packed. Pretty unique food i must say. Eating the burger samosa was a mega project, it was huge and even after finishing the whole thing i could not figure all its ingredients. It felt like neither burger nor samosa, but overall it was good. The cutlet samosas were better though they were a bit spicy. Enjoyed the paneer kulcha the most. And i won't write about Tye gajar ka halwa or it will make me hungry again. The food certainly has scope of improvement but will definitely make you happy.
Nice place to eat after shopping in sarojini market!!! Local friend recommended and it was worth. Burger Samosa was odd!!! Otherwise fine!!!
Located at the entrance of Babu Market, this sweet shop gives a warm welcome to you, as you go on a shopping spree in Sarojini Nagar. They have constantly experimented with food and also the design of the shop. Earlier it used to be a small shop which served very limited amount of street food, but now, it is almost on the top of its game. They serve samosas, jalebi, kachori, bread pakoda, Chole Bhature, veg and paneer patties, gol gapoas, Tikki, pao bhaaji, steamed corn and momos have been the latest additions. You name it, the shop has it. The design has also been made very chic and there is plenty of open space for crowd movement in the middle.
If you are in Sarojini Nagar, you should definitely give this shop a try. People living in Sarojini Nagar have been associated with this place for a long time and crowd here during the evenings, tells me that, this is where people of Sarojini Nagar buy their snacks from, when it's time for tea.
I always visit this place during navratras just to enjoy the specially prepared falahari paneer pakodas. It is one of my favourite. From the regular menu I personally like the pav bhaji and chole bature. The samosas are pretty good too. Overall a nice place to enjoy snacks after a good day of shopping.
The real thing.
The old Delhi air
The owner busy in throwing attitude than serving customers
Outside counters for kachoris, chaats etc.The insides for display of sweets and attitude.
Angoori pethas and rasbharis.
The best I have had in recent times.
Perfect in sweetness,texture,flavour and presentation.
If only they knew about good service.......
Just when your legs tell you, not even a yard more, you can sit and find for this place in sarojini nagar market, located near babu market, it is easily reachable and a very authentic option.
Being one of the oldest shops in the area, it serves fantastic samosas, pao bhaji, pastries and jalebi.
Sweets packaging and quality is really good, yes with haldiram this place has become slightly overshadowed, but the one who has tasted food here, can give haldiram a miss anytime!
5star for Pav Bhaji...
What an awesome taste!!
Pav was so fresh that it actually melted in the mouth and after having done so much of shopping you surely need a place to eat where you get an awesome taste..
U cant miss this shop if ur in sarojini nagar market. located in the corner just at the entrance of babu market, S.n..this is one of the oldest shop here. It has a variety of mithais for which it is famous and street food .
On the entrance there are a few counters of pao bhaji , aloo ticki , gol gappas and jalebis. Also there are few display counters of pre-prepared foods like sanwiches , dhokla , kulchas etc. Mahender Sweets has some items like burger samosa and burger pizza. Though the names are attractive , the food doesn't do justice to it.
With the amount of the crowd coming in , you cant expect much hygiene and comfort but the quality and the taste of everything they have is decent .
The chole bhature is a delight though Yes! too much oil is there indeed which needs to be worked on :(
One also cant miss the Imartti which is available only on sundays till 11am. Their bread pakoras with sabzi is nice and the samosa with imli chatni is decent too. Im quite a fan of their Pao bhaji too :)
One surprising thing is their bakery products. I had ordered a chocolate cake in emergency which turned out to be really fresh and tasty.
I will start with "Maja aa Gaya". After some years I got a chance to enjoy Chole Bhature & my Gulab Jamun. This food outlet is situated closer to SN railway ticket counter. It is a full fledged shop with large frontage.
I simply went for Chole Bhature & it was really tasty & Yummy. Hot Gulab Jamun added more cravings to my taste buds. Chole was really awesome because it is easy to crack Bhature but Chole is tough to master.
Don't expect any services bcoz they don't give any. You have to manage your plate, find a place to sit on the peripherials & enjoy ur food. That part can be really tough & gruesome in evening. I was feeling uncomfortable in morning time. If they could provide an average level sitting comfort I would have rated them 5 straight but the outlet management has just ignored it.
A must try outlet in that area just for food they serve.
Here the review of Mahendra Sweets in Sarojini Nagar, New Delhi, with three pros and three cons:
Pros:
1. Exceptional Food Quality: Mahendra Sweets is renowned for its outstanding food quality. The chole bhature and medu vada you mentioned are indeed delicious, and they consistently serve authentic and flavorful dishes.
2. Affordable Prices: One of the standout features of this restaurant is its affordability. Despite the high food quality, the prices are reasonable, making it accessible to a wide range of customers.
3. Quick Service: Mahendra Sweets is known for its efficient service. They prioritize quick service, which is perfect for those looking for a quick and tasty meal on the go.
Cons:
1. Limited Seating: As you mentioned, the restaurant has limited or no seating space. This can be inconvenient for those who prefer to dine in comfortably, especially during busy times or extreme weather conditions.
2. Lack of Ambiance: The restaurant primarily focuses on the food, so the ambiance is quite basic. If you're looking for a more upscale or cozy dining experience, this may not be the ideal place.
3. Crowded During Peak Hours: Given its popularity, Mahendra Sweets can get extremely crowded during peak hours, leading to long lines and wait times. It's advisable to plan your visit accordingly.
In summary, Mahendra Sweets in Sarojini Nagar offers outstanding food at affordable prices, but its limited seating and basic ambiance might not suit everyone. It's an excellent choice for a quick, delicious meal, especially if you don't mind the lack of seating.

One of the oldest and most delicious items being offered. Due to its location, it is always jn high demand. Their sweets are yummy. Chole bhature is a must try. They can certainly improve in the customer Service part
When u scale up, u need to be polite and courteous. Otherwise pricing wise and taste wise, too good a place to be in.

Please do try chola bhatura,Pav bhaji and the last but not the least Jalebi, All of these are must try.
Jalebi was ultimate, I am not pretty sure whether they made it in ghee or some other oil but they taste and smell like desi ghee and I enjoyed them so much. :)
It's situated at babubazar. This shop has different kinds of sweets I bought 1.5 kg of peda for my colleagues and . 5 kg for my family. The price is 400/kg.I also tasted some gulab jamuns and rasmalai from there. It tasted really good. I ever visit sarojini market, please try some sweets from here.
My customized Papri chaat was too good. Chaat topped with pomegranate, kishmish and beetroot slices gives a nice taste
