And today my friend from Bangalore came to Delhi, we were friends since long. Long enough to say almost a decade. He wanted to taste some dhaba food. Being a delhi girl, the hardcore delhite I dint know much of such places. So I knew one near IIT and IIFT area in Delhi. The small joint near these institutions, named Laxman or Lakshman as people usually call it or what I have heard by the hostellers residing nearby. I must say if you wanna try tasty food in budget, head towards this Qutub Institutional Area. You can get the address asily by googling. As always G oogle baba ki jai! Seating might be a problem in rush hours but that’s pretty fine jab paise bach rahe ho toh that too without compromising food quality. We orderd paneer and mix parantha. Yummylicious they were. Then as I am a teetotaller, I had tea which was fairly fine to me. Overall a good show and worth it. So, next time whenever you are near this place have a good time with bae :P by ditching all those CCD and Nik Baker outlets.

Laxman dhaba is a small roadside shop where you can have the best food at the cheapest price. It's popularly known for keema parantha and chilly garlic noodles.
Noodles are cooked to perfection with lots of spices and vegetables. I however had Maggie and it was no less tasty than it's counterpart.
They even serve us 2 types of chutney and mixed pickles.

I have been to this place for quite many times. They are famous for their parathas. Generally this is the place where you find maximum people clustered. I too like their parathas and their sexy chicken is also really good. The quality is huge. Half plate of chicken can easily be consumed by two people. I love their chai as well. However I feel that this place is comparatively expensive as compared to similar joints located adjacent to it. The taste over there is more or less the same but are on cheaper side.
This is an amazing spot for grabbing a quick bite. Since the place is in front of IIFT , it’s always full with with students , which ensures that there food is fresh. I ordered a aloo and paneer paratha both of which were served with a cube of butter and some very tasty chutnee. I then ordered 4 more parathas as the food was tasty. The service is quick , the place is fairly hygienic and the parathas are delicious. They also serve chicken parathas which are a little heavy. Best one is the aloo and paneer one.
Started going here in my college days and untill now I haven't stopped. They recognise you from your face. Very friendly ambience and comfortable, even though you have to sit outside. Whenever I am in that area, always make a visit here for a plate of chilly paneer. Never had this tasty chilly paneer anywhere. Nice service and very hygienic.
Just outside the IIFT bhawan, a perfect Nukkad type dhaba for the parantha and maggi cravings. They also have this funny names for paneer and chicken items (sexy paneer/chicken) which can be had with fried rice and plain parantha.

They have impressed them all with their food and amazing locations.
The iconic sexy paneer was spotted here first then i have seen it getting all over the street and this is one good fodd which has floored all the firangs .. not only with name but with flavors.
their paranthas are the best in South Delhi and please don't even compare them with "Parnathe Wali gali" they paranthas are stuffed with Filling not Atta.
Their amazing staff is headed by Mr Vishnu he is as old as the restaurant is in my eyes he is the only guy who serves me since 2006 and trust me i must have been there atleast 300 times imagine a year spent only eating at Laxman dhaba.

If you can't go to Murthal(famous for their paratha joints) just visit this place and taste the unimaginably diverse platter of parathas. The shop is a small dhaba. Unlike the parathe wali gali's deep fried paratha, this one serves regular big size one with options of sexy chicken and sexy paneer (this are actual names on the menu card). Would recommend mix, keema, aloo and chicken paratha that comes with a golping amount of butter on it. Price is completely reasonable that justifies the taste. Thumbs up to this place. 👍

Located in a very Quiet and beautiful place.The pranthas are famous due to Ranbir Kapoor. The taste of the food is amazing.Have been going her quite alot as it is a goof hang out spot with friends.
My recommendation will be the Panner Parantha,The onion Parantha and the Chicken Parantha with tea,also try the lemon tea as it just amazing.

Food - Quantity and Taste are things you can't complain about. The food is simple and tasty. They don't invest on plating, they make the food just that better! Simple menu, good taste. Keema parantha is a favourite. And the paranthas anyhow are really nice both veg and non veg. Dal makhni and aloo zeera are other really nice dishes.
Ambience - only reason why this place gets a 4*. While I personally love it, everyone might not like the out in the open, under the tree dhaba setup. But, get your car along and they will serve you in the car. (P.s. chai here after a nice dinner on a winter night is a must do if you're a foodie)
Value for Money - Please have a look at the menu. You can't ask for more. At this price the food you're getting is excellent!

This was the first place in Delhi I tried the Chicken and Keema paranthas and they were amazing. Located opposite IIFT and adjacent to the boundary wall of Sanjay Van, this place has been serving MBA aspirants day in and day out. I have been going to this place for 8 years and writing a review now (injustice).
The place serves great paranthas ranging from regular Aloo/Paneer to Chicken/Egg and Keema. Tea at this place is great and a perfect complement to the piping hot paranthas and cool ambiance (due to the adjoining jungle). The complete road is covered with trees branching from both sides of the paved mortar.

Another favorite hangout place serving lip smacking food at reasonable rates. The Laxman fast food is a very humble place right opposite the IIFT gate. There is ample parking space unless the place is full but even then you will not have much trouble. In the winter afternoons this place is heaven as with the winter sun smiling & you reciprocating while having some sumptuous paranthas.
While the menu is quite elaborate, my review is limited to 3-4 items that I really like here. (Haven't tried everything)
Paranthas - This is a no brainer as the place serves one of the best keema paranthas. The paranthas are of a decent size with Keema stuffed fully till the edges. While the chicken parantha is also served but somehow I found it bland & never ordered again. For the vegetarians, the aloo pyaz & the gobi paranthas are quite good. You will be served butter & achaar with all the paranthas & if you want then you may order lentils or some vegetables at an extra charge. The paranthas are well cooked & are not at all spicy.
Chicken Macroni - This is the first place where I had Macroni outside my home. While the color might scare you but it really heals your taste buds. Along with chicken chunks, a good amount of veggies are also added. It is a must order if you visit this place.
I have also tried the maggi here which is quite ordinary & tea which is again inexpensive & well prepared.
As I said it is a complete value deal & while it is a dhaba, People visit this place with families for the sumptuous food. A sure shot place to visit 👍

Their lip smacking paranthas at pocket friendly prices are surely a delight to have. I had CHICKEN PARANTHA and KEEMA PARANTHA (minced mutton). I relished both of these, smeared with butter, so aromatic and irrestible! Prices are very economical, only Rs70 and Rs75 for these two.
Visit on a pleasant evening and enjoy the piping hot paranthas with a cup of tea and your favourite companion, trust me it can't get any better!

who would've thought that a roadside shack sells few of the best parathas I've ever had during my time in Delhi! let the look of this place not deceive you because they have hot butter coated soft paranthas that will surely make your mouth water. I visited this place yesterday and the seating area was full. my friends and I ordered for food inside the car, we had aloo parantha, dal parantha and paneer paranthas. I really enjoyed the dal parantha a lot and even the aloo paratha was quite appetising. they served it with big blocks of butter and three types of aachars. it was mouth watering good and it's super affordable which makes it a must try for everyone. unfortunately yesterday was a Tuesday and they did not serve non-veg so the next time I go, I'm eager to try their keema parantha as well.

Typical Delhi dhaba in a quite area.. Near Sanjay van. Paneer and gobhi parantha are the best topped with butter. It's a little chilly out there compared to other parts of Delhi due to forest, so 1 cup of tea won't be enough sometimes when you visit. When you want to have Paraanthe just remember the name Laxman Fast Food. It's a road side Dhaba in front of IIFT in Qutub Institutional Area. The JNU has multiple options for having paraanthe but I visit this place because the taste of their paranthas are on top of the world. Besides Paranthas everything on the menu is on the expensive side for road side Dhaba.
The Paranthas I recommend are Gobhi Parantha, Aloo Pyaz Parantha and Paneer Parantha. You can have anda bhurji also with plane paranthas.

The non-veg parathas here are just...DIVINE!I always have the kheema paratha here which is probably the best paratha i have ever had! The big chunk of butter that the give melts oh-so-easily in the hot parathas. Chicken paratha is delicious as well, but kheema paratha is at another level. The chutneys available make the paratha even better.Never had anything other than the non veg parathas here. Theyr'e awesome!

The place is AMAZING! The food that we tried - Aloo Parantha, Tawa Paneer, Chicken Chowmein and Chana Masala, were all best in taste and texture! If you're a vegetarian, Tawa Paneer is a must to have dish with Tawa Roti. The only things that are on the downside, is that it is a bit pricey and that it does NOT have an option of ordering in parts (half, quarter), so that kind of makes it hard to try multiple things in a single sitting. The taste and service makes up for it though! Do try it out!
Being a frequent visitor of Laxman Fast Food, I can safely say that you should definitely try their Paneer Paratha and Dal paratha, among other food options.
Service is usually a bit slow but the chill atmosphere sure compensates for it!
If you are a parantha fan...this is your place. You get one of the best paranthas here especially egg, daal and paneer paranthas with that red chutney...it's OMG!! After which you should try their cold coffee or hot tea, they are amazing!!!

Laxman dhaba is a small roadside shop where you can have the best food at the cheapest price. It's popularly known for keema parantha and chilly garlic noodles.
Noodles are cooked to perfection with lots of spices and vegetables. I however had Maggie and it was no less tasty than it's counterpart.
They even serve us 2 types of chutney and mixed pickles.
You can order the food in your car or sit on chairs that they have made available. Service is quick and food is lip smacking.
The place is famous for Ranbir Kapoor.
You will find numerous food bloggers going there for the famous Keema Parantha once Ranbir Kapoor ate during Rockstar shooting.
But truly, the Paranthas are good just like another street vendor. Nothing too good about them.

One of our favourite go to places, ever since I have stepped in Delhi. The food is just so so good. Keema parantha and Chicken parantha are super good.
Love the keema paratha and chai. They have quite a lot of options for stuffed parathas. Good place for a Sunday breakfast
It's a road side dhaba but the food is finger licking good..and the it's reasonably priced! If u like eating in the open..must visit for trying
