We tried Idli, Vada, Pongal, Mysure Dosa. Mysure Dosa was the best, Idli vada was good, better pongal is available anywhere else. Highly recommended in Karolbagh.

Hygiène oriented, clean and old look, good service.

Had a meal, and it truly tasted good. I liked the Sambar. Was wondering why the pickle was North Indian type. Initially, I was hesitant to enter as it had no good space and ambiance. Next to this, there are other vegetarian restaurants, including Saravana bhavan.

Food is homely and owner is very welcoming. Best place for those craving to have South Indian food. We travelled from Chennai as a big group with kids. Everyone would rate this as best food in the entire trip. They even serve meals for dinner - rice fans to note
Ambience is not great but that's ok.

They serve the best south Indian food. The quantity and quality are both perfect and to top it all, the food is also inexpensive. The service is very slow, perhaps due to understaffing. We were three people and ordered four dishes. By the time they served what I had ordered others were done with their food so I just had to eat it quickly, yet I was forced to leave 70% of my portion. Then they took good 10 minutes just to get the bill.

Decent South Indian food.. didn't disappoint

It is rated way less than it deserves , i Found it as a quality option for my daily breakfast while i stayed there, because it was a middle option between low hygienic street food and Costly AC South Restaurants.....the prices are relatively cheap if you compare to other restaurants which offer South Indian food, so if your pockets are not deep, this can be a worthy option👍

A small place but delicious food.
all south indian items available+ north indian Chinese too.
I hesitantly ordered manchurian but it was beyond expectation at such a South Indian Restaurant.
it was very tasty!!
one must try!!
good place for good food!!

The average 'Udupi' outlet, though cannot comment about its authenticity. The food was good, not extraordinary. In the busy Karol Bagh shopping area, its location is a tad better off as it is not on the busy lanes.

A restaurant with minimal ambience but tasty South Indian food. Trust me the food is really prepared in authentic South Indian Style, you won't get disappointed if your are from south . The cocunut chutney or white chutney they provide is very tasty. Also liked the taste of the tea. Reasonable charge on breakfast items. Felt the meals a little costly though.
If you just don't mind the ambience ,but prefer a tasty food in clean environment on minimal budget this is the right place👍

We had a very good experience in Udupa Sri krishna hotel. We were searching for South Indian resturat final we got it this from zomato. Thanks for zomato app also. All the dosas and rice item were extraordinary. I would like to recommend for all to visit this place.

Being a South Indian I will never compromise on the south delicacies which are lifeline for me . South Indian cuisine is much-loved across India, especially its wide spread of breakfast treats like Idli , Dosa and uttapas. However, there is much more to South Indian cuisine, including a large variety of rice dishes, one-dish meals, main course dishes like Sambhar , Rasam , etc., accompaniments like chutneys and salads, as well as preserved foods like podis (powders) and pickles. If you guys are looking for such kind do visit this restaurant 😄
Eat well and stay healthy 😊

Brand - No , not a brand so far.

History - running from quite a long time and i have visited many times from this area but noticed recently.

Location - it is on saraswati marg which is near to Karol bagh. Nearest metro station is Karol bagh.

Ambience - ambience is very very simple. No fancy look. Just a single colour on the wall. Sitting arrangement available.

Food from menu - they serve south Indian food only. All items are familiar in nature.

Hygienic - yes, serve hygienic items.

Staff & service - quick service. No delay on their part. Only time taken is time in cooking your oder.

People response & crowd - little known place. By the way, other competitors are already available in Karol Bagh area with more options.

Taste - taste is good. South Indian food is always considered among healthy foods. Lots of people enjoy only south Indian food while enjoying food outside. One Rosa is enough even if you are too hungry.

Price - prices are very much affordable. No issues for this.

Opinion - you should visit if you are a follower of south Indian food.

Just had dinner a while back at this restaurant. And i came out satisfied.
This restaurant is located on the Saraswati Marg opposite Spicy by nature restaurant.Initially ordered for Paratha with kurma but since it was unavailable changed to Mysore Masala Dosa. The order took around 5-10 minutes. The dosa seemed aesthetically pleasing with hues of dark brown to the golden yellow progressing outwards. Had a quick try of everything.
Coconut chutney- one of the better ones you can have at Karol Bagh. Fresh, refreshing, right consistency and balance of taste make it great.
Sambar- Nothing special. Slightly spicy which hits your throat. No taste on the palate though.
Mysore Masala Dosa- Appearance didn't deceive and it tasted very good. The red spices that were dressed onto the inside of the dosa made it taste different and pleasant. It had the slightest aroma of the spices. The masala was flavorful and it had small pieces of finely grated coconut which lent the special taste to this dosa.
Based on this single dish, i can confidently rate it among the better South Indian outlets among the plenty that adorn Karol Bagh. Its better than the Om saravana bhavan nearby definitely. Radha's Kitchen is the only better place at Karol Bagh for South Indian food but that is again a different level altogether.

Although you can easily find South Indian food joints in Karol Bagh, this one stands out from the rest and is near to the authentic expérience at an very economic price !
Over the years I found that the quality of the south indian food is degrading. ( sambhar is diluted with water and idli is getting harder ), nevertheless this place has still managed to rise above the my expectations.
I tried plane Idli and Maysore Masala Dosa, and they were a delight - the idli was soft and fluffy while the dosa was nicely prepared; stuffed with filling !
The coconut Chutney(no longer tasty these days) was a delight when consumed with the food.
Though the ambiance is not very hygienic but I suggest you give it a try !
You get to sit and finish your food comfortably, better than the competition.
I'm surely going to order somthing next week.

One of the worst south Indian restaurant I ever been to and have been lotz of them . Firstly ambience is so bad , it smells like rotten eggs or something . order 1 Masala dosa and 1 Idli .. It took around 45 min to get I plate idli . n after that I was another 30 min for dosa.. Quality of dosa was pathetic . I am never going to this restuarant , n will suggest people not to go to this restuarant

I've been here with my friend Yuvraj Nayar .. N we kinda liked the food... We had a masala dosa and an onion utapam n it was gud... But the interior is not up to the mark... And the service and staff was also below average...

A very small and shady place, but if you don't have any option you can eat here. I had a very avg experience here. Idli vada are safe bet, or a plain dosa should be just fine

Had very nice pongal - what you could call comforting soul food. Could complain about poor decor, ambiance etc, but I suppose it does not intend to cater to clientele that would bother about the decor. wholesome simple food, good authentic taste... at a good price... for the masses... nothing wrong with it.

Visit the place once a month when visiting our Homeopath doctor on Saturdays.
The south indian preparations are very authentic and remind me of my years spent in Bangalore.
We usually decide to take the thali and end it with a strong filter coffee.
For our kids we order a plain dosa and idli.
Their kesari bath is also worth a try.
We love their rasam, sambar and a tangy mix vegetables on offer in their thali.
The place is hygenic and reasonably priced and service is quick and attentive.

Worst place ever......Gawd awful food and ambience....been here once and will never go back in. The place was empty when we went in and it was so when we left except for a rat running around!!

Was there in last july being a tourist from Kanniyakumari the southern part of our country I was craving for some hot south indian food but would say that it was rather unpleasant. Okay starting from the ambience I was not much pleased but good (definitely they can have better furnitures) the service was bad because when I was here I waited for nearly 30 minutes to get my food at the table(This happened all the three times when I was here) okay that was excusable as I was not that bored or waiting for the food and talking about the food it was good nothing much to complain nor appreciate the pooris were hot and puffy the masala was cold but was good and the ghee dosas were good the accompaniments to it was bland but was manageable and the coffee was good as usual okay now coming to the climax the bill would definitely make you weep if you are a south indian but considering there payloads that was manageable too.Special mention their servers and cleaners were friendly and helped us with the routes to our destinations.

Ambience -2/5
Service-3/5
food-3.5/5
VFM-3/5

A place I remember from my growing up years in karol bagh, now in much in a sorry state .

A big team , 10 of us landed there after a street play performance, ravenous and in search of a peaceful place.

The idlis were soft and fluffy, vada crisp, uttapam was nicely done, though onion masala was too full of raw onion pieces , but we were happy with the sambar and chutney and the service was efficient and friendly.

However the toilets were in a real bad shape and the place looked desolate.

There was no filter coffee and we reluctantly settled for bru.

However the prices were really good and we thought we would get back there soon when we go karolbaghing sometime.
