I like tandoori chicken and afgani chicken there with is best in all texture also staff of this restaurant is very polite and good manner . ..........👍........

Orient Tavern has been a hangout spot for a while now. The food is consistent, service attentive with fantastic finger food. Try the fish fingers, fried & Gin Fizz!
I ordered tandoori chicken, mutton chops, dal makhni and nan. Tandoori chicken was juicy and tasty but pieces were bit smaller than expected. Nan was chewy.
But overall the food was quite good including the smoky flavour of the mutton chops and dal.
In all that has changed around it, the Orient Tavern has managed to stay remarkably the same. Good food, reasonably priced, affordable liquor and predictable service – has enable the tavern to stay relevant even today!
This place has stood the test of time. The quality has been consistently good.

Gave a poor rating few days back which was taken seriously but it's management and improved a lot. On my recent visit, I enjoyed having beer here again.
This outlet in Vasant Kunj has been there for a really long time and I remembering ordering my first few Thai take aways from them.
Their Thai Chinese and Indian offerings (in order of tastes and recipes) are really good.
The portions sizes are really huge and their recipes have not deteriorated at all
I recently ordered Chinese and was really very satisfied with the quality and quantity, I was served which was truly Value for Money.
Their Chilly Garlic Noodles are one of the best that Ive ever tasted.
A good place to sit down and drink. One of those places where everyone knows your name. Good service makes up for the occasional greasy dish ( not saying that the food is bad or anything!). Shout out to Joshi ji
Cheap food and booze. Nice and quick service. Quality and quantity of food has a great combination here.
Although lasooni kababs were heavenly in taste, chicken biryani was bit on a downside.
This is my go-to café .The prices are really reasonable and they beer at cheaper rates !

The place reminds me of my college days. Delhi wasn't how it is today few decades ago and this place still look the same when I visited in 90s. I had ordered daal makhni and paneer tikka. Both tasted good and the staff was happy to provide various chatnis. It was a good experience and whenever in Vasant Kunj, I would visit again to refresh my memories.
The quantity & food quality is quite good here. Mutton burrah and Chilli Chicken were awesome. Other good thing is that since the place is away from malls, the place is not so crowded.
I had ordered Tandoori Momo's and Dahi Kebab as suggested by other reviewers and I am not disappointed. Really nice taste and very affordable.
I will definitely try something new on my next visit to Vasant Kunj. Do try the Tandoori Momo's as they are prepared differently from the usual.
Orient Tavern is an amazing place! Delicious food. Cheap drinks. Cozy place and a television. It was almost like I had a restaurant at my home. Loved the comfort of the place
No non-sense place to have Cheap Booze & Okay price decent quality food. Do ask for extensions on the happy hours as the staff is friendly to extend the same.
Nice old looking feel place. Cozy and quiet. I liked the food, the Veg. Manchurian and noodles were really good. It's a decent place to take your family as you sit, eat, talk and relax.
Affordable alcohol and food which compliments it well. The Tandoori Murgh was well cooked and tasted even better with Bira. Cool place to hang out with friends. The place could use some good music though.
I recently decided to try out new restaurants & stumbled upon Orient Tavern. The place looks old however its more relaxed ambience with lesser people around since not many people know about this place. We were happy with the extended happy hours which Narendra offered us & food was decent & pocket-friendly too. Their salsa dip is just fantastic.
Upon a friends suggestion, I took my siblings to this place. We had a good time watching cricket with our drinks. It's good to break out from the regular bars with loud music. The food was good too. I loved drums of heaven & chicken salt and pepper, do try.
Firstly, I commend the Chilli chicken for being very aptly prepared - crisp, spicy and the right temperature of hot.
Second, the place offers a calm environment to enjoy my drink and food in solace or with friends! I would definitely recommend this place to all the people reading this. Most importantly the staff was very helpful and courteous. Cool vintage guns on display too. Loved it!

I went Orient Tavern for the first time and honestly I didn't have my hopes high as the place looked really old-schooled. But, contrary to my assumption my experience was above average.
A. The food was good. I only had spring roll and dahi kabab but both tasted well.
B. The staff was very helpful and paid complete attention to my table at all times as per my requirements.
If only the place could look a little better, it would top my fav places to hangout. Although I am from Gurgaon but I have a lot of friends here and Vasant Kunj so it could help.
There's a range of these basics Restro-Bar in NCR though I feel where Orient Tavern score is their food & location. I am a vegetarian & I liked their Dahi Kababs, Tandoori Momos & Noodles. The reason I gave them a slight extra on the rating is because of the friendly servers & usual pocket-friendly pricing.
I could see how much people enjoy drinks at this place from the look of it, this place is famous for drinks but my experience differs. A few food dishes are just so amazing, like the Tandoori Chicken momos are a MUST HAVE, they are very differently cooked from the normal with an amazing Dip. The Chilli Chicken was also perfectly cooked. The Dahi Kabab also, amazing!
The ambience is quite perfect if one has to drink/meet/discuss but doesn't want a loud music place. From what I was told, the place hasn’t changed a bit since very long which is why maybe it is very homely.
However, it's not the everyday bar where you drink & dance on loud music with DJ. It's more like drink & dine.
Also, I would appreciate the staff for their humbleness and help the elderly carry their food all the way downstairs.
If you want cheap alcohol in a nice cozy environment in VK then this is the place for you. The beer is reasonably priced and specially Chinese food is good. We were two people who ordered 4 lagers, 650ml. The invoice was under 1500 with snacks included. Go for it cheers
Delicious food at cheaper rates....one of the best in delhi. !!!! I liked Dahi kabab and tandoori momos. A great restraunt served with veg , non veg n drinks..... 5 stars from my side
I used to come here when I was 18, when there was nowhere else you could get a drink in Vasant Kunj. 20 years later there still isn't a place in Vasant Kunj to grab a drink. There are of course malls but OT, as me and my friends call it, still is the same old, slow paced beauty that serves you chilled beer.
The food is okay but OT is the place where you can even be alone.
No one would imagine a place bang in the middle of a DDA society.
Not many know about it and I hope not many will because it still serves its old people with love.

A no-nonsense waterhole in VK. It's cheap, simple with an okayish selection of food and drinks. We, however, did manage to dig into a few delights last time. The fried fish fingers are worth a shot. Also recommended are the lamb burra and the boneless mutton tikka. The tikka is generously spiced and cooked well on a tandoor. The fish is fresh, sinfully deep fried and served with oodles of tartare dip...

Tucked in a upper floor corner of a convenience complex in D4 vasant kunj, orient tavern is almost as old as the regular clients that walk into that place.
The ambience is old school with no billshit decor, it's strait and simple for people to have booze, eat good food and get wasted.
Well that what I did with my friend a few nights ago. Ordered 16 bottles of budwieser abs some pretty awesome food.
1. Chicken kalmi is incredibly amazing. The white sauce over the bhatti styled butterflyed chicken legs was to die for. Chicken was nice and tender. A must try.
2. The mutton burra chaap was very flavorful and succulent. The mutton was well cooked and really juicy with nice marinade cooked deep into the pieces. Though I felt the Masala was a little towards more Sour than I would've like. But it was really good.
Well, I was surprised to see "OT" on the option list & shocked to see it got 3 rating. This restaurant is in D-3, right in the market. I have been visiting it for over 10 yrs now. It's not a fancy resturant like new age we see in Mall but the staff is very very courteous. Infact service, food quality & quantity, ease of reaching it is something that has been making me go back2 this place again & again.

Chinese is something which i can vouch of Orient ; Veg Noodles/Schezwan Noodles are my Favourite

orient is our family place. whenever we cant figure out what to eat we go to orient. it serves the most chilled beer and the best butter chicken. everytime we have a bigger group and dont want to cook at home orient is the home away from home. have been going there since the last 20 years now!
The quality, quantity and service is simply superb. The beer is chilled and is of the right temperature. Simply love going to this place if I am in the mood for a quiet dinner and drinks mood.

Orient Tavern has been around in vasant kunj for ages and I have ordered in or visited the place for almost 8 years. It is a very consistent place in terms of ambience, service and quality.
Food - They serve North Indian and Chinese. Both types are above average with a few exceptional items such as chicken afghani, mutton burrah, fish finger and mixed cilli garlic noodles.
The food is slightly on the higher side in terms of pricing, but it is still value for money because the portions are typically huge.
Bar - They have limited drinks but most basics are available. Don't expect any malt whiskey or designer beer and you wont be disappointed. The prices are normal and they offer 40% discount till 8pm.
Ambience - Nothing special, but its functional. It is frequented by quite a fwe regulars who go there often, so has a local pub feeling
Service - Most of the staff have been working there for more than 5-6 years and try their best to provide the best service possible.
For home delivery its a safe choice in the sense that you wont be dissapointed by the quality, but you wont get any exceptional taste or quality either. Food is hygienically prepared as I have never had any problems even though I must have had over 100 orders
Orient tavern is an excellent restaurant in Vasant Kunj. I have usually ordered at home and can say that the service is super quick. However the prices are a little high but the quality and taste of food is excellent. I have had their chilli paneer, salt and pepper and spring rolls. For main course I have had rice and noodles with a veg gravy. The taste is totally Indian Chinese which I love the most about the place.
I don't know why it's rated so low. The chicken chopsuey and friedrice are the best I've had compared to most places. The place is extremely light on the pocket and serve huge portions.
Perhaps other items may not be great, but I vouch for these two

The Chinese food preparations is good also Indian tandoor items are lipsmacking. The decor is quite antique. Moreover, the food is the factor that pulls me back here! The location of this restaurant is at an unexpected place of the small market. One of my fav Chinese food joints*****
I have sweet memories of this place as a youngster when I came to Delhi for the first time. My friend Karn introduced me to this place and then this was a regular for Beers and snacks. Plus the best place to hang out with your gfs.... I was happy to find it again. You are on my list, the first thing next month. reviving old memories.
I went to this place last week to chill and have drinks with friends. The Tavern (I love that word) is located inside the residential complex of D4 and so not many people seem to know about it.We reached at about 5pm on a Friday evening, and it was sufficiently empty. The best thing that I liked about the place is that they have a separate dedicated smoking section, which isn't outdoors!
They had a good selection of beer, and they provide papad with it.
Since we didn't eat anything, I don't know about the quality, but I would definitely recommend this place for a no-fuss chill out zone with friends over drinks.

By far the best place for a drink in Vasant Kunj. Not crowded like a mall. Nor swamped with kids. A place visited by regulars. Decent food. Great service. Best staff. The food is also pretty decent. The best part is that one can smoke inside. So no stepping out or going to the smoking room.

A very cosy restro bar tucked in the Community Market of D4, Vasant Kunj. It is a popular joint for local residents as well as those who know about it.
The ambiance is cosy & the cheerful & welcoming nature of the staff make it a very pleasant place.
It has properly separated smoking and non smoking areas.
As for food they have an elaborate menu that includes an assortment of Indian as well as Chinese dishes and I have found the preparation to be overall consistent.
Its a nice place for lunch or dinner with family or to grab a quick drink after a long hard day.
Dry chilli lamb was banging hot and full of flavour. Garlic naans were superb. Staff were great.
Food is tasty but alcohol rate is too high. I felt the space is bit small that can accomodate 25 members. Good abmiance
Wonderful place. Very old school and one of its kind. This is not a place apt for those who prefer friils. The place outrightly lives up to its name and description - it's truly a tavern (to the extent there can be one in Delhi). Prices are a little uppish, but for those willing to pay for a good "adda" with friends at a place that makes you feel home while you drink, this place is highly suitable.

Nice place to hangout with friends on a Saturday evening. it is located right in the middle of a posh residential colony of Vasant Kunj. The entrance to the shopping complex is from D3-D4 Colony entrance. Very good for a medium sized group.
