Had a terrific Bengali dinner recently thrown by none other than Utpala Mukherjee. Everything was finger-licking good. I ate mutton kutlets (for appetizer), and in main meal... muger dal, alu bhaja (thin strips and crisply fried), narkel-shorshey chingri (this was my husband's favorite), doi-chicken, pork-curry (specially made for me), amer tok chutney.

It was good experience but food quality specialie in the vegetable category needs to be more required to upgrade for best experience..

YWCA is a serene place. I have never found this place crowded and that is one of its USPs. You can sit and chat with loved ones for hours without any hurry to make place for others.
It serves food from various nations, mostly Indian subcontinent. The food is costly but tasty, and is a break from the cliche menu served in most of the restaurants. Order judiciously because they serve in good quantities.
Also enjoy the green lawn in the front with its lone swing. They also have a range of traditional indoor games to pass your time. Coupled with its good service it deserves your first visit.
