The first time I was their in last December and in May recently. The place has not changed much but I loved the Chetse Dry Noodles here and they are really good with the pieces of vegetables and the flavour of noodles. I also love their apple beer, I tried pineapple beer but it wasn't really good.

A cute little cafe in the refugee colony of Majnu ka tila. A place which provides value for money. Cozy seating and good food. We had carrot cake and peace iced tea and we liked them both. A must try as per my opinion

Small and a very affordable place, If you're looking for fresh and traditional Tibetian food, you should definitely go here. They prepare everything as per the order so it might take some time, but totally worth the wait. Thukpa here is one of the best of its kinda!

This place never disappoints. Go here for freshly prepared Tibetan food and because they make everything from scratch after your order is placed, the food takes time in reaching your table. But their food is worth the wait.
Their Spicy Chicken Pizza, Classic Margarita Pizza and Rhuchowtse Chicken Momos are just amazing; the momos come with a clear chicken soup which helps in soothing your mouth if your mouth feels a burning sensation after the spicy Momo dip.
The Chicken Spring rolls are not something that will bring you here again.
They did not have Pineapple beer which is an in-house preparation the last time I visited but it is worth a try.
I am not a person who dislikes spinach so thought of trying Spinach Cheese Momos as well but I regretted ordering them; flavorless in my opinion.

Recently visited this restaurant ,it was purely by chance as other restaurant in the area were crowded that day ,as we entered the first thing which instantly warmed us up during that chilly evening was ambience it had a homely feel to it.We ordered a vegetarian Tibetan thali ,tofu mix vegetable soup , vegetarian Momo's,Greek salad, honey chilli potato ,fruit beer and fresh watermelon juice.
The service was quick.
The thali looked exotic and taste was good ,thingmo bread in it was made with unrefined wheat flour ,dal served tasted really good,it had some fresh greens stirfried.
Tofu mixed vegetable soup was creamy and tasted really good. It
Momo's came with a clear soup and were filled with fresh greens and paneer or tofu .
Greek salad and juices were fresh .
But honey chilli potato we're a big let down .

Not many people know that The Big apple restaurant has 2 outlets. One is present on the main lane towards the left side, while the other outlet is situated towards the right side in the substitute lane. I prefer to go to the latter one because it's more peaceful and cozy out there ✌🏻
While you're here you can order Chicken noodles and Chicken momos and you won't get disappointed. The soup that comes along with the momos is simple yet earthy ❤️
Cold coffee will just be like a homemade one and won't make you caffeinated xD
Had all these just under 300 bucks!

P.S. - If you're a person that believes in prompt service don't visit this place. Come here to spend a good time talking to your loved ones till your food arrives and then have some comfort food ❤️

Majnu Ka Tila, which is a Tibetian settlement, is a world in its own, away from the hustle and bustle of Delhi, tucked in a corner of North Campus. The settlement, which is spread over an area of a kilometer or two, is a foodie’s delight as it is inundated with restaurants. The real challenge lies in finding out that one restaurant, whose food suits your palate. It took me around 10 years to find out my preferred restaurant in Majnu Ka Tila, The Big Apple.
Like Majnu Ka Tila, Big Apple too is tucked in a corner, hidden behind Tibetian artifact, currency exchange, travel and tour operator shops. Owned by Kunga Namdul, it is one of the few restaurants in Majnu Ka Tila that serves Tibetian, Nepali and Bhutanese thalis. Kunga’s parents had come to India during the mass exodus from Tibet after the escape of The Dalai Lama. They initially settled in Sikkim, and later shifted to Dharamsala, the capital of the Tibetian government in exile. Kunga’s family owns three restaurants, his eldest sister runs a vegetarian café in Dharamsala, and Kunga runs two restaurants in Majnu Ka Tila, the next one is close to The Big Apple and has a similar menu.
Like most Afghan restaurants in Lajpat Nagar, a few Tibetian restaurants in Majnu Ka Tila, too, now offer sit on ground and dine facility, the other Big Apple restaurant is one of them. Kunga is a hotel management graduate and strives for the authentic Tibetian taste. It’s nearly impossible to vouch what authentic Tibetain momos look and taste like, but I have a firm belief that The Big Apple’s momos must be very close to the authentic ones. The thing about Delhi food is that in many cases the authentic taste is highly compromised to make it suit Delhittes palate, but that’s not the case with The Big Apple. In Delhi, two variants of momos are available --- Nepali and Tibetian. The Nepali momos are the ones that are widely available across all momo counters in Delhi, most selling Nutrela instead of chicken. The Tibetain momos are only available in Majnu Ka Tila and Buddh Vihar Market near ISBT. Tibetain momos are keema-based and juicy. Kunga explains the trick of making this momo. He says, “The dough has to be thick on the sides and soft in the middle, so that when they are closed, the seal is strong. But it has to be in the right proportion, a little thinner or thicker, can make it break or the sealing, too, hard.”
For me The Big Apple’s momos are a must have. Other must have of the restaurant are Ema Datshi, a Bhutanese dish made of yak cheese and chilli. I also give thumbs up to Big Apple’s good old Tibetian Shapta.

Visited this restaurant a few months ago on an impulse. The decor is quite simple yet soothing. The place can accommodate around 20 people at a time so its not very spacious but has a cozy and homely vibe.
This place is famous for its Thalis but I wanted something lighter so I Went for fried spinach and cheese momos and an Apple Beer. The Apple Beer is non alcoholic and tasted just like Appy Fizz. The only difference was that it came in a fancy beer bottle. The Spinach and cheese momos were a big disappointment. The mixture hardly had any cheese and the momos had just been taken out of the oil and served on a plate with a napkin. It was too oily and they did not think it necessary to sieve out the extra oil which was a huge turn off. They really need to work on presentation.

If ur in for a succulent Momo then this is the place for you. They prepare some of the finest momos im Majnu ka tila. They also have something special in their menu which is their pineapple beer which was too good. So i had ordered Beef Momos and i just loved em. Highly recomend this place to all.
