Being an Old delhi resident, I’ve practically lived on Jalebis from this place! Utterly delicious delicacies you need to try! The poori sabzi is also a must try here!
My favourite place to eat the BEST bedmi puri and sabji. I grew up around this place and visiting this place after almost 25 years was super nostalgic. But more than the nostalgia trip, I was amazed that the quality of food has not changed at all. I took one bite of the super awesome bedmi puri and I was thrown back to being a kid. With the puris, you should try the hot and crispy jalebi. I love this place for its simplicity and quality of food. Must visit if you are in Old Delhi.
Delicious paneer jalebi and rabri. Not into mithais but can never avoid this one.
Jalebis are made perfectly thick as i like with absolutely right sweetness and softness of cottage cheese.
Rabri from here is my favourite. Chunks of cheese and flavour of milk is authentic.
Halwa mathi is the item worth trying i have eaten it almost since i was a small kid. The item is avaialble early morning. Jalebi is also worth a shot. Chandni chowk legacy.
i have grown up eating its sweets especially balushahi n jalebi. its a more than two-decade-old shop located in Old Delhi. Sweets are reasonably priced but the quality has bit compromised now a days. Balushahi become dry after a day or so. can be consumed fresh only
This place is all about old world charm, clean and hygienic.
Everytime I am fatehpuri area around breakfast time, make it a point to visit them. Like their Poori allo, Nagori halwa and the katchoris. Though of late the nagori halwa seems to be a bit dried.
Recommended for sure.

The place is just next to Kake di Hatti. Tried this place for breakfast and their famous Bedmi Poori with Aloo Cholle ki sabzi. The pooris were light and crisp. Not at all oily. The sabzi was subtle. Spices were kept low. The place has good seating and service was fast.
Mahalaxmi Mishtan Bhandar is placed on the same road where the famous kake di hatti is located . Infact its just few meters away from it . Went there with friends for the famous bedmi puri !! Its a different puri and is not similar to the usual puri. Puri was softnand not too oily. Sabzi served with it was nice flavoured . Overall a nice experience.
This is a old place in fatehpuri on the ground floor and specialist in snacks and sweets. Reached there in the afternoon and ordered aloo sabzi and bedmi puri which was delicious and I am loved it, at the end in sweets ordered jalebi which is famous for this place. Must try place for quick snacks and pocket friendly rates👍
Superb place for some nice breakfast any time of the day. The poori alu and the kachoori's are something to die for at this old charming place at fathepuri.

Let's talk about Dil...Dil...Dil...Dilli (Delhi) aka Purani Delhi. Oh I can't express in words how much I love this place and everything about this place. My maternal house is in same lane where you hog parathas (parathe wali gali). And many of our maternal side relatives live in the heart, liver and veins of this place. Hence, my childhood is mostly touched by all the delicacies of this place. After running a Marathon, typically my stomach wanted some solid feed, and I chose to have halwa naggori. After a smooth drive of 15 minutes, i landed a place name Mahalaxmi. The food is good, healthy and made in "Desi Ghee". A plate full of taste and calories of halwa naggori with halwa and chole aalu was enough for two of us and we had only a water bottle. We end up paying only 70 Rs. Yes!!! That's it... Here I give you some idea of this place, they also serve chole-puri (not bhatura), naggori-halwa, sweets and almost all milk based Delhi-maafik-drinks.

Great for breakfast in Chandni Chowk.. Had the bedmi puri Aaloo and Nagori Halwa.. Loved it..the pickle is a nice, tangy accompaniment :) It's located next to Giani's..so not that hard to locate
Get your fix of sunday breakfast here. The place serves Nagori with halwa, which is exhausted till 10 am or even earlier. The nagori was crisp and halwa was aptly sweet. To balance the sweetness, they served it with cholle aloo. You can opt for puris also.
Visited this hidden gem multiple times and surely they serve best poori sabzi and super awesome nagore along with sooji halwa..
Hope they can improve arrangement a bit.

This is also an old delhi breakfast venue.....famous for their nagori halwa , desi ghee jalebis and kachoris....dont miss malpuas if u r there
I had read an article about halwa nagori & subzi poori in (FED) at mahalaxmi mishthan bhandar and decided to have a go there solo after not finding any company.
But when I visited there at 10:00 am it was all over I was told that halwa nagori was over but I can have poori subzi, i ordered one plate of the same along with 100 gm curd.
Taste: Both poori & subzi were great, poori was crisp without being heavy & subzi was a delight, Yum. It had both chana & aloo quite conspicuous. The subzi took me back to my memory lane. This place is spacious considering other nearby eateries in mind.
All in all though I missed that halwa nagori but poori subzi made my visit worthy.

If you are a jain, they have a choice of no onion garlic foods. Ask for staff by the name of Gowardhan or Arjun. They will serve you the options as per your requirements.

Mahalakshmi mishthan is close to Giani faluda in Fatehpuri Chandani Chowk. On Sunday early morning due to less traffic you can park there however during weekend you need to take Metro on walk from Chandni Chowk metro station to Fateh puri.
