Afgani Murgh. Extremely delicious to eat. The chicken is very well marinated and very well grilled. Served well with onions with green chutney.

A good place to eat chicken in rajinder nagar.as they claim to be the founder of tandoori chicken,they really make delicious chicken dishes.the best is the chicken lababdar there,a must try.the service is pretty average there.
My favourite place for Butter Chicken and Dal Makhani ofcourse! And yes, the ambience is a big plus. I particularly enjoy live music when they play it out, along with their non-veg starters and a chilled beer

I hv loved moti mahal since iws in lko and here too they r amazing..they r there for no cook sundays and no mood weekdays...love their taste..couldnt get a chance yet to visit but as i order frequently fr deliveries i can certainly say its super fast fr my place..like max 15-20mins so thats another reason i love them...its definitely worth a try and i know it will join the list of ur favs as well ๐

We had landed in Delhi on our vacation and my dear aunt ( mom's younger sister) and uncle take us for lunch to Moti Mahal. History says that its founder invented the famous butter chicken that even Pandit Nehru loved. I recall my sons loving the dal makhni and a paneer gravy ( not sure the name) and my aunt although a strict South Indian food eater eating a Harra Barra kebab with me and sharing a thick Malai laden lassi. Sadly i could not eat the famed butter chicken as I was the only non veg eater today and felt odd eating meat in front of my fellow diners. And i thought I was very hep and radical..Kukkad ki kahani aur Swaad left untouched by me... LOL !!!!
This is a nice place to dine out...liked the interiors n the location...food was ok...dal makhni was tasty but the butter chicken was too sweet...
I went for the dinner....food was good....ambience of the restaurant is very sober which, I liked very much...basically it is a family restaurant

This review is based solely on their online order booking and delivery experience ,.
Had some friends over for dinner and wanted to order in but not having any menus at hand decided to once again use online food booking option of Zomato and was surprised to discover that even these guys delivered to my address in the Park Area. T heir reputation and the heritage behind the Moti Mahal brand helped us zero in on ordering from them . As always the online order experience was the simplest possible as was our order , a portion each of Dal Makhni and Jeera Aloo accompanies by two Pudina and one Laccha Prantha and a serve of Jeera Rice , but here was the twist , one of the guests was a great fan of their Paneer Makhani Gravy but was also lactose intolerant , so could not eat Paneer , I went ahead and added a Paneer makhani to the order and in the special instruction section added that this dish should be served without any Paneer , I know it sounds funny and confusing , a order of Paneer Makhni , without Paneer . A press of the button and the order was placed and within a minute of the same being placed , I revive a call from a court opus sounding person from the restaurant , confirming both , my order and the strange special request , on conformation he assured me that the order will be there promptly.
True to his words , the order was at my gates within half an hour of the call , delivered by a polite delivery person , packed nicely in plastic containers and food grade foil
Fresh and hot , every item of my order was delicious , with a special mention to the Jeera Rice , cooked perfect Al Dente , cooked but firm to bite , not soft and mushy , with a fine Jeera Flavour.
All in all it was a very nice experience , which I would like to repeat some time soon and would also recommend.

Rajinder Nagar has dearth of fine-dining restaurants with the exception of Moti Mahal! Amazing restaurant! Very spacious (they have little area for kids also) and always serving amazing food. Being a punjabi, my favourite is their Butter Chicken and Dal Makhani. Last time i tried Murg-Bemisaal as was recommended by someone, and it was exceptional too. All in all very good place for family dine-in and throwing parties.
This place was one of the recommendation from my foodie friends. We had ordered Mughlai chicken, butter chicken n lamb curry. The food was juicy, delectable and of ample portions but I felt the pricing was little higher than its closest competitors in the area.
Been here thrice already, a very quiet place away from the bustling streets and the jostling crowds....the ambience was very inviting.....although the furniture could do with a replacement .....the staff who waited on us were very courteous ......we tried the Tandoori chicken, tandoori gobi and the fried rice......the chicken was pretty good, the gobi was a bit on the softer side....it could have been made a little more crispy....the rice was just right for two people...I would recommend going here for a nice evening with a special someone or chilling with friends as they do serve alcohol!
We ordered Malai kofta, Paneer labadar briyani (highly recommended) and butter roti, prefect blend of spices and great quantity..!! Delivery was very quick.
Plus they offer a cent discount on home delivery. :)
I have always been a great fan of moti mahal chain of restraunts. This place also lives up to the name. Delicious food, adequate quantity, polite staff. Good going!!!! Keep it up.

The ambience was not as expected. The food served was hot. As we had ordered starters it was really good. They provide 3 kinds of biryani as preferred by the guest. We had the labhadhar murg biryani and it was just awesome with perfect amount of spices.
A fantastic place to dine in if you are looking for authentic mughalai food plus if you are a fan of affordable dine in options.ย

Occasionally, may be on weekends, they have Ghazal singers... it just adds to the mood. I like to listen to live singers sometimes.. but they should improve upon the quality of the band..ย
It is a must go. The only improvement i will recommend would be on lighting. The should make the place a bit brighter.ย
Oh yes, they have valet parking. So don't worry about the parking issue. I have never ordered home delivery so will not comment on that front.ย

I have been its regular customer since past few months. The ambience is OK. Dim lights all around. I like their service. Very Courteous staff. A THUMBS UP for that. I like its few dishes. They are just average but good. Dal makhni, Kadai Paneer and Butter rotis were quite decent. A nice restaurant at this cheap price :) Their home delievery is awesome. Very fresh. Very hot. The ambience of the place was not like the typical moti mahal. It looked liked the eng bar.
Most of the premium brands were not available in the bar.
The food was good. The signature dal makhni had the perfect texture. The butter chicken was amazing. the chilli paneer we ordered as stater was good too. It had that punjabi chinese taste on which we indians are living on for many years.
The peanuts and papads were complimentary with the drinks.
Live ghazals was a good experience.
I've lived in India for over three years now and thought I was totally over Indian food. I went here recently with some colleagues from work and since then I've gone several times alone as it's not far from where I stay. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is really incredible. The waitstaff are friendly and the prices are quite reasonable.

It was one of those Tuesdays, when the self imposed restriction of sticking to 'veg only' food limits the spectrum of choices especially in Delhi, famous for its non-veg offerings! But the short visit of an outstation business colleague and Tuesday evening being the only slot available left me scurrying for a quick research in Zomato. Trying to avoid long travel through the snarling city traffic, we zoomed in on Moti Mahal at Rajinder Nagar.
The restaurant is located in a rather quiet zone on Shankar Road beyond the fiercely commercial hubbub of Rajinder Nagar...and lucky us, we could park the car right in front of the restaurant...that was pure bliss! The interiors are like so many restaurant interiors of Delhi...less said the better...heavy sofas on one side, heavy wooden chairs on another (so heavy that the wait staff needs to shove you in for the right posture)...dimly lit...many seating covers, all look alike and are closely packed around the huge space...straight from the olden times, when a restaurant meant a place for gorging into food...two pennies for the ambiance!
The floor manager and the waiter were quite a buddy though...suggesting, going a little out of their way to help (though it was little past 7.30 pm, they still offered a 50% 'happy hour' discount on drinks), adjusting the blast from AC...very friendly and warm people! But food really made all the difference...our starter of tandoori mushroom (Rs.199.00) was of top order, very fresh and well prepared! A portion of tomato dhaniya shorba (Rs.109.00) came in huge quantity and with the right twang. We also asked for a portion each of dal tadka (Rs.199.00) and vegetable jalfrezi (Rs.199.00) - both the items came in humongous proportions (could be easily shared by four people!); they were prepared with passion and tasted excellent with freshly prepared tandoori rotis! Our total bill of Rs.1365.00 inclusive of all taxes & duties was a sure pointer to return for the non-veg fare at Moti Mahal.

Huge portions, delectable taste, decently priced, quick and precise service, food served by servers, adequate lighting (not to dingy, not to dim), valet parking and most of all, LIVE music.
music that helps you lay back, relax, enjoy your food. not the type that keeps banging into the back of your head like a nail into the wall!
i had visited Moti Mahal Delux - Kebab Trail for dinner with my family. we ordered the typical north indian khana, butter chicken, dal makhni, paneer, accompanied with naan's and prantha's.
since we were 4 ppl, we decided to order the family naan, which is supposed to be one big naan, but this was 6 butter naan's, on a big platter, with dry fruit toppings! though the thought of having dry fruit naan wouldn't be easy to digest, i kinda liked it :D
the butter chicken was nice and creamy with melt in the mouth pieces of chicken, the daal was nicely prepared and tasted really yum, the paneer though was the highlight as it wasn't your regular bland paneer in gravy. this was paneer which was marinated before being chucked into the gravy, making the paneer have amazing taste :D
all in all, it was a really nice experience with the live music, nice food and comfy ambiance :) thumbs up.

can avoid - family naan (if u dont like dry fruit naan)
