Alright so i was invited for tasting here at Vasant Kunj. So the first thing i tasted were two things. They look like small gems but the quality of chocolate is absolutely mind blowing. One was dark chocolate with 55% and milk chocolate 35%. Its chewy but once you chew it, it will just melt in your mouth letting you know hey am there. 😄
Then comes the pastry.
Belgium chocolate dark pastry. Its filled with layers of different types of Belgium chocolate. Its soft and once you cut it with a spoon it just moves so smoothly. Perfect!!!!
The next one is Choco mousse pastry. The flavors are very noticeable. You can distinguish each and every flavour with each bite. That is the level of quality they put in to their products.
The best one in the list is Berry cheesecake with french toast base. I loved it. The crispy base, soft cheese in between and the berry jam on the top. Heavenly. 😊
The last thing but not the least, we tried choco balls with butterscotch center. Absolutely rich with cocoa and the concentration of it makes it like i am having a peice of heaven.
If you are passionate about chocolate you should definitely visit them. Plus they are located at prime location like DLF promonade.
It’s always a pleasure visiting Choko La so obviously this visit was no different. This time instead of my usual visit to there Khan Market outlet I went to the DLF Promenade one.
The food tasting was absolutely brilliant since they served the best chocolate bits starting from Milk, then the dark chocolate & finally the walnut chocolate.
Then comes the best part of the tasting known as the Coffee infused pastry- The best I ever tasted.
Also had Blueberry cheese cake but am a fan of there Belgian chocolate coffee party 😍
They also have savory options to try.
The store is also good for gift hampers, they have a variety of products to offer. Do check it out.
Highly recommended for everyone.
I was invited by Choko LA team 2 days back to review this outlet which specializes only in Chocolates that too Pure Dark Chocolates.
So yesterday I visited Choko La Vasant Kunj which is located in Ground Floor , DLF Promenade Mall. Well The nearest metro station would be Vasant Vihar but that's 2.8 km far from the mall.
When I entered, I was warmly greeted by the Manager-Angelica and her team.
This is a quite big chocolate confectionery as compared to normal one. But becausd they have only two tables for seating in that way it looks small otherwise its perfect.
The moment i finished doing a review for the Choko La. I was wondeing why they have chosen the orange colour with white why not Dark Chocolate colour. But later realized and searched in Google that Orange represents creativity which their products has. Orange indicate happiness so this also a tick from from myside as through out the review i was happy.
Now coming to the desserts which I Tried 'n' Tasted
To begin with they presented
1. Two variants of chocolate like bits one was dark chocolate and the other was milk chocolate. The dark Chocolate was 55% dark and milk chocolate was 35‰. . The Milk Chocolate was more sticky than the Dark Chocolate.
2. Belgium.Chocolate Truffle Pastry prepared with Dark chocolate. Rich in taste and this was a spongy one.
3. Eggless Coffee Caramel Pastry - It was more of like a mousse had prepared with amalgamation of Coffee and Caramel. The coffee were fragrance were strong. Very soft to eat..It melted in my mouth as i took it the first bite.
4. Berry Cheescake -I felt this was common..Like a blue berry cheesecake.
So that was a bit description about the gastronomic experience with Choko La.
Also they have created special hampers for Rakhi .So what are you waiting for. Go and Grab those hampers. And Gift your brother /sister.
I got an invitation for tasting from Choko La and I started wondering what it will be like. They have 4 outlets across Delhi and Gurgaon. I visited the one situated at DLF Promenade, Vasant Kunj. You'll find this cosy yet beautiful chocolate cafe at the entrance of the mall having a number of variety of chocolates and cakes.
I had the following delicacies🍫🥧:
*Belgium chocolate truffle pastry
*Eggless coffee caramel pastry
*Milk chocolate (35% chocolate)
*Dark chocolate (55% chocolate)
*Almond and cashew rochers
*Butterscotch crunchettes
This place is more than what I expected it to be💞. They serve the best quality chocolates coming from Belgium and giving them Indian touch. Everything what I tasted was up to the mark and quite innovative. I loved eggless coffee caramel pastry and almond & cashew rochers. The most innovative chocolates I saw there were Chilli surprise and Fennel fusion, which were the combination of Belgium chocolate and Indian spices.
Choko La is perfect for gifting chocolates to your friends and family as they have beautiful gift packages🎁. They can customize cakes and gifts as per the requirement of the customers🎂. As it is Rakhi season, they have edible rakhis also🤩.
If we talk about the overall rating then:
*Food taste- 5/5: Chocolates are delicious, pure and quality oriented.😋
*Ambience- 4/5: Beautiful, cosy and very well decorated.😍
*Service- 5/5: Very friendly and polite staff members. Special thanks to Angelika and Sudha.😄
*Variety- 4/5: Perfect combinations of Belgium & Indian taste and quite innovative products.🤩
If you love chocolates then it's a perfect place to visit and satisfy your taste buds. For more information you can write on foodswingsbymadhuri@gmail.com and DM on insta ID @foodswingsbymad 😁
Although you can grab a chocolate from a nearby store but there’s a fact about these artisan brands that their products have an an authentic touch. Choko la situated in this fancy mall has a limited number of products but they are thoughtfully made to satisfy the cravings of a customer. I was welcomed with smiling faces who introduced me to the whole concept of this chocolate heaven. The staff no doubt is aware of each thing present and would happily discuss it with you.
Certain things that we enjoyed were the berry pastry that had a french cookie base with cream cheese and berry compote. The coffee caramel is stunning and bring backs the nostalgia of my favourite toffee Coffee Bite. I can vouch that the punch of coffee will instantly brighten up your face. They have a couple of jars as well that are compact yet freshly curated. I chose the lemon crumble one which had a base of french biscuits topped with blueberries, lemon crumble, and mascarpone cheese. For the pricing, this is a sure shot buy. It will cleanse your palate and you might be left asking for more.
They are truly a master in their business and know what they are curating.Mostly everything is made in house and the chefs behind must be appreciated for keeping up with the quality.
It’s niche yet affordable and a must must try. I didn’t try the hot chocolate this time and I’m sure I’ll come back for that.
Choko la is an amazing place and it does live up to it's name. I finally got a chance to try out various items and it surely did live up to it's expectations.
I tried the following items:
¶. Eggless Coffee Caramel Pastry- This was caramel at the centre, chocolate at the bottom and coffee at the top. The good thing was that they each had a distinct flavour in themselves and you could taste them equally. This would remind you of your childhood and those coffee caramel toffees.
¶. Blueberry cheesecake- So this was something quite different and unique than any of the items or any other cheesecake. It had it's own character as the centre consisted of soy, the bottom was french biscuit and the top was a mix of berries- strawberry, blueberry and raspberry. All three were mixed in a perfect combination with the sweet tangy flavour of the strawberry and blueberry and the crunchiness of the raspberry.
¶. Rochers- Everyone has had chocolate wrapped dry fruits but none like this. Dark chocolate coated almonds and cashews were distinct from others due to the quality of the chocolate as well as of the dry fruits.
¶. Hot Dark Chocolate- One of the best hot chocolates I have tried. You can taste the bitter flavour of the chocolate as the hot chocolate is 75% dark chocolate.
Other items to try would be the Belgian Chocolate Truffle cake, Brownie with Coffee Mousse jar, Chocolate Purist jar and the Lemon Crumble Jar.
The service was really amazing and I did love the experience. Special thanks to Sudha, Aditi and Amit.
Will definitely visit again.
Great desserts and great service. Thanks to Sudha for helping us select the right hampers and making the experience smooth for us. Great ambience.
I happened to visit Choko la , a place known for its chocolates. I was shopping for Rakhi gifts and had some their pastries as well.
Ambience- 5/5🌟
Service - 5/5🌟(Spl mention to Amit for explaining all gifts)
Food- 5/5🌟
Value for money - 4/5🌟
It is on an expensive end but not as much as I expected it to be.
In the gifts I liked :
1 - Bliss - A blissful combo of 2 milk & 2 dark chocolates. Marbled hazelnut minis & classic milk minis. Along with Dark chocolate Mendiants& Honeycomb - Caramalised sugar coated in dark chocolate. Priced around ₹1250
2 - Medium Tray - A perfect gift for Your loved ones with a delicate combination of our signature products like Milk Heart Chocolates, Coffee Crunchettes, Tropical Coconut Sovereign & cookie combo. Cost ₹1500
3 - Golden Round Tray - A perfect gift for Rakhi to offer the richness of Cocoa & cookies with 4 different varieties of cookies, Butterscotch Crunchettes & Signature Honeycomb. Cookie can be bought in small packets also costing ₹200-300.
4 - Rose Bouquet - Delicately carved milk chocolate roses put together in a bouquet to show your love. Cost ₹1000
5- Milk chocolate Rakhi- Milk chocolate carved in the form of car pasted on leather band. Cost ₹200
Overall the gifts are of all ranges.
Moving to dessert section :
1- Belgium Chocolate Truffle Pastry -signature Belgium Chocolate Truffle pastry with richness of Chocolate Ganache & chocolate sponge. Tasted best when warmed.
2- Eggless Coffee Caramel Pastry - A moose based pastry with Coffee moose & richness of caramel in between. I loved it to bits.
3- Classic Dark & Classic Milk Bite size chocolates.
4- Brownie with Coffee Moose Dessert Jar - It is a coffe flavoured dessert jar with Brownie chunks at the base, chocolate ganache & raspberry jam in between topped with coffee moose.
5- Chocolate Purist Dessert Jar - Richness of 55% dark chocolate ganache at the base, chocolate sponge & chocolate moose sprinkled with chocolate chips.
6- Lemon Crumble Dessert Jar - Refreshing dessert jar with Crunchy french biscuit at the base with lemon curd & fresh blueberries topped with Mascarpone Cheese.
The pastries cost ₹250-300 and dessert jars are of range ₹160-₹180.
So overall I found the place to be perfect for picking up rakhi gift packs. I highly recommend The Bliss combo and eggless coffee caramel pastry.

Choko la is a brand which I love from my childhood days because who doesn't love chocolates?
The ambience is really eye catchy and you can't let yourself out till you buy your favourite dessert.
So this outlet in vasant kunj has a small sitting area where me and my friend had a great time having their diffrent variety of desserts.
What we ordered -
Belgium chocolate truffle pastry-
Served with elegance the pastry with richness of chocolate ganache and Chocolate Sponge had a sensational flavour and the chocolate was rich in its textures
Eggless coffee caramel pastry -
Oh who doesn't love coffee caramel, the soft and spongy pastry and the the richness of coffee mousse and caramel in between was pleasurable
Lemon crumble dessert jar-
A four layered dessert with crunchy French biscuit layer as the base with lemon curd which was topped with blueberries and the top layer was of mascarpone cheese. My eyes were struck to this dessert which was beautiful.
Chocolate purist dessert jar -
Dark chocolate ganache as the base with chocolate Sponge and mousse sprinkled with chocolate chips. I am really a fan of dark chocolate and this was my favourite
Last but not the least
Classic dark and classic milk bite chocolate with 55% and 35% cocoa respectively. Such high percentage of cocoa in chocolates is really advisable and healthy as well.
Overall had a great experience visiting the outlet and the staff was really courteous and looking forward to visit again
Thumbs up to the team
Visited Choko La today and this place is definitely one of the best among the other French bakeries.
Located right at the entrance of the mall, this place offers deeply divine chocolates.
What I specifically loved :
1. Lemon crumble with fresh blueberries : fresh berries and tinge of lemon , topped with mascarpone cream 😍
2. Coffee and Caramel : oh so divine ! Loved the flavours, just perfect.
3. Belgian Chocolate Truffle : indeed one of the best, and lightest dessert I have had till date. Usually, Belgian chocolates are really heavy, but this was soft and moist.
4. Chocolate bouquet : what's better than this ?
A bouquet with chocolates in it. Loved it. A perfect gift for beloved ones
They have some amazing hampers too with superior quality cookies and chocolates.
Quality: I loved the quality of desserts and chocolate, the freshness in the taste is what gives you a clear picture of how well the desserts are made.
Presentation and Service : the staff is knowledgeable and knows the in depth recipe of what goes in the chocolate / dessert.
I really enjoyed my experience here, and when you talk about premium dessert cafes , this place is listed number one ☝️
Delightful Place to Try out rich and superior varieties of chocolate. They use couverture chocolate which is a high quality chocolate with high cocoa content.
Keep On reading till the end to know each type of dessert I had.
They have most chocolaty goodness you crave for. Be it chocolate & coffee caramel pastry , hot or cold chocolate drinks , cakes , chocolates bars etc. They also have tea options in drinks & cake to choose from . Some savoury snacks has also not missed their menu .
The Ambience is lively as you would expect in a dessert place. The staff is really amiable and prompt. Specially Aditi who is wonderful in understanding your confused chocolate cravings 😁
Now about the Deliciousness I ordered
#Eggless chocolate caramel Pastry (4.5/5)
Well this was delicious 😋. The caramel was pouring out when you go through the pastry. Lovely texture and lovely taste . And the mousse was also adding to the flavors
#Lemon Crumble Dessert Jar (4.5/5)
Layer after layer of deliciousness. The top layer of mascarpone is soft and creamy. French biscuits provide the crunch . Blueberries in between provides the freshness and lemon curd provides the acidity to perfectly balance the dessert. Lovely . Do try
#Brownie With coffee Mousse Dessert Jar (4.5/5)
Again delicious 😋 . Coffee was singing through with chocolate ganache and mousse. Brownie chunks provided the spongy delight and the dry fruits in it provided the crunch. And to balance the coffee flavor the raspberry jam provided the perfect counter balance.
#Red Velvet Cake (4.5/5)
Each layers had red velvet as the hero. Red velvet Sponge is really good. The rich mousse and the butter cream frosting was so light and luscious. Red velvet crumble on the outside is Surprisingly a relief from all the creamy and red velvet rich sponge.
#Hot chocolate cinnamon (4/5)
This was really good. With hot milk it's beautiful. Do get a packet of this and enjoy it whenever the hot chocolaty mood sets in you.Cinnamon is not really ubiquitous once mixed up but it is there and its good. Adding little sugar is advised , otherwise perfectly fine as it is.
#Chocolate Purist Dessert Jar (4/5)
As the name suggest , the chocolate is really more dominant in this dessert jar. Dark chocolate upto 55% is used. From ganache , crumbles or chips , all chocolate 🤗. A relief may be needed to avoid brain freeze 😛
#Belgian Chocolate Ganache Pastry(4/5)
Richness of Belgian chocolate and the truffle is really a good combo. Chocolate Sponge is good can be better. Like the ganache in every other dessert it too was solid and not the silky ganache you expect , as expected bcoz they have to use freezers.
Overall it was a delicious Experience with choko la . Really wonderful and rich chocolates. Various options to choose from. And also Very reasonable for the Quality provided. Amiable and cordial staff as well.

I must say that have Amazing chocolates although i am not a big fan of chocolate and this time it was my friends demand but I'll love to try again other flavours from chokola
Great place. Great service. Great food. Only complaint I have is that they don't keep more cakes & pastries. They can get finished real quick and the ones that come later might not get to take the cake or whatever home.
Been a regular at Choko la, and this place never disappoints me. Their Belgian chocolate truffle cake is ah-mazing, and I've been ordering it since time immemorial. Definitely a must order!
Dear Choko la team, I want to thank you for giving me such a wonderful experience for my friend's birthday. We all are in love with your Belgium Chocolate Truffle cake. You guys are great.
The best dessert place in town! Love the chocolates and cakes! The display and decor is very nice. staff is very courteous and its definitely a place to visit when in #PromenadeMall
GreaT place to buy eat & gift ChocoLates, High quality, Great taste, good service staff , All about WoW Place for drink a chocolate to all together.
Was there this week! It's at a premium location (right at the main entrance) with premium products. The staff is well behaved and they have a great variety of chocolates and cakes. I've been told they use couverture chocolate.
Was averse to dark chocolate until I tried their dark mini chocolate.
It's a Heaven for chocolate lovers.
I have just had their chocolate and raspberry cake...twice!! Man o man, what an amazing cake. Chocolate isn't overpowering at all, which usually is the case if you order this for or from a lot of bakeries. And looking at the other cakes too, I feel they would taste equally good. Superb preparation!
One of the best bakeries in the area, Choko la immediately grabs one's attention the moment one enters the mall. They do not have an extensive variety of cakes and bite-sized chocolates but whatever they do offer are absolutely heavenly. One of my favourite places to get birthday cakes from. Make sure you drop in and taste their products when you're at the mall!!
Definitely in the line for the top cake shops in the city, chocola has limited but great tasting deserts. Had the Belgian truffle cake . The chocolate used was dark to the edge of bitterness and was just rightly balanced with sweetness. Although the pricing is a bit steep, however the main issue is the limited menu
Happiness is when your best friend gift you a box of chocolates for no reason.
The box had total of 16 thin round dark chocolates. The chocolates were too gud. On top of every chocolate there was One piece each of Almond , Cashew and Raisin.

Chokola doesn't have an extensive range of pastries. They do chocolates and decently. The chocochip cake is a must try here. It's sweetened just right and is deliciously soft and moist. I got gifted a bunch of chocolate roses from the place. They look lovely but are regular milk chocolate flowers. I find the cookies here slightly dry and hard, they could have been done better given the prices they come at
Food:
Really good chocolates served here. Super impressed with the variety of chocolates at avail. The real essence of cocoa is showcased through these tiny, bite-sized chocolates that pack a punch of decadence at every bite. They come in various, intricate shapes too in order to add to the aesthetics of the chocolates consumed! I found myself to have consumed around 4-5 chocolates a day as I couldn't just stop at 1. It must say... It is pretty tempting!
Well... The only reason I didn't give this a 5 rating is because of the pricing as it is kinda expensive for a tiny bag of chocolates. But it is definitely worth a first try!
Ratings:
*Taste- 5/5
*Cost- 2.5/5
*Packing- 3.5/5
Would I come back for more?
--- Yeah definitely!
Overall, my experience in Chokola has been splendid!
Chokola breads are a must especially the whole wheat bread. Soft and the best. I personally recommend the breads and plain croissant. Must Try.

Chokola is the best place for chocolates. Every visit to the mall with kids invariably results in 3 of us sharing one of there pastries. A bit expensive....but they are the best without doubt
Have been a fan of their cookies since ages. We love everything about heir cookies the crunch, the taste even the packing. This is a heaven for every chocolate lover. Each and everything is delicious here be it cakes, chocolates....basically everything. They may seem little over-priced but the taste worth it.
My friend gifted me a lot of chocolates for my birthday from this outlet. Baring the dark chocolate with hardly there almonds, everything else was worth every penny. I am big fan of their rochers.(not sure of the spelling). Though their chocolates are a little expensive but the quality, taste, presentation is a 5/5.

Having visited their Khan Market outlet earlier, I actually kinda had an idea of what Chokola was all about. But honestly, I had no idea that it could still easily impress me with its preparations yet again. And yes, they did. Be it their chocolaty delights or even the other saccharine delicacies, Chokola serves it all with a very appreciable quality.
Had gone to Select Citywalk a few days ago and placed a takeaway order for the following-
-Chocolate Croissant
-Coffee Caramel Pastry
Had tried their Plain Croissant before, this one was much better. The Caramel Pastry too was toothsome.
Had a yet another enjoyable experience.

For a sweet tooth to be thoroughly satiated, there are not many options available to explore. But when you go out looking for bakeries in Vasant Kunj, Breads and More located in the DLF Promenade Mall is one of the greatest bakeries in that area and is quite known among the sweet lovers of this city. Was tootling around the premises of DLF Promenade Mall when I came across their outlet and decided to pop in.
Tried out the following items here-
Red Velvet Cake- Not very sweet and hene delectable in taste.
Chocochip Cookies- Highly delectable and tasty!
That was all that I had here at Chokola and my experience was a delight.
If you are somewhere near the Vasant Kunj area, Chokola can be certainly considered.
FINAL VERDICT-
Quality- 4/5
Service- 4/5
Affordability- 4/5
On the Whole- 4/5
What more can u say wen I give it 5.
The word which describes this place is perfection.
I had that tomato Danish pastry in savoury and what nice flavours it had I was totally mesmerised.
And that coffee caramel pastry was yum.
Thanks chokola for a wonderful experience.
Choko La is quite a delight when you enter the mall with is bright orange color. You will never miss this store. Its full of chocolate and happiness. I always take birthday anniversary cakes from here. They are delicious and my favourite is the Belgian chocolate. I always like the way they make different shapes of their cakes. They are extremely fresh and nice. They also have breads and delicious beverages.
I am a total foodie and the taste of food totally matters on my birthday party or other parties I host.I feel happy when people have a smile om their face after having the food I make or which is catered or from restraunts.Especially Birthday cakes. It was my birthday on 8th June but due to my absence in delhi I celebrated it today 25 June.Chocolate cakes are very common so Tapasya didi (working in chokola)reccomended us their Vanilla caramel crunch. It was not so heavy which is a good point. The cake is creamy and fluffy. It has kind of a butterscotch taste and has a nice aroma. My friends and I loved it and I think it was a perfect birthday cake. Not so heavy, not so sweet but perfect.I was quite impressed by bollywood style decoration.I thank chokola for making my day special
This chocolaterie is easy to locate, for one spots it as soon as one enters DLF Promenade. The inside oddly reminded me of Flury's in Kolkata. My friend who's a huge fan of Choko La was urging me to try something from here, so I barely managed to buy a chocolate croissant, being short of cash for the day.
According to the menu the chocolate croissant is "an exclusive sweet and savory croissant oozing with the deliciousness of chocolate, baked to golden-brown perfection." Well indeed it was a chocolaty perfection in all senses, living up to its flamboyant description. I'd hoped to pack some more goodies but couldn't owing to cash shortage.
A chocolate-themed cafe selling variety of chocolates and desserts, Choko La will always stand out as one of my favorites. They're also a premium online chocolate shopping site.
You cross this cute little fancy store as soon as you enter the mall and it immediately grabs your attention.
I've been a fan of whatever I've tried here, and the quality and flavors are not even close to those of other fancy South Delhi Bakeries, who very conveniently charge you a big sum for mediocre products.
Choko la does not have an expansive variety, they have a few things but all of them are perfect in their flavours, textures and freshness. Moreover, the price is reasonable for the quality you get.
My family has been a fan of their caramel- coffee cake- this cake it fairly priced, looks fancy and each and every bite has intense flavour. If you like bold coffee flavour and a rich, dense cake, you'll love this cake.
The red velvet cupcake is the best I've ever had. It's moist and generously iced.
The other things I've tried, including the berry cheesecake and focaccia bread are faultless.
The staff is friendly and efficient and the store is consistent with both it's service and food.
Got the 1kg chocolate truffle cake for my mother's birthday. One of the best cakes I have had. This is now my default cake place in Vasant Kunj.
Choko la is a unique place that is themed around chocolate.
Tried coffee cupcake and cafe latte. Both were good. Not eaxctly VFM, but then it's an upmarket brand.
Cafe is built with good interiors. Coffee is good, chocolates even better.
I've only had the one thing from here. The Belgian Chocolate Truffle cake at a birthday last week. Best you'll find Delhi I reckon. Unconventional but practical, the cake is rectangle, with little chocolate truffles on top. Absolutely superb, would love to try more stuff out.
Choko La is my favourite place for a cup of thick, creamy cup of chili hot chocolate, especially during winters. Besides my regular order of their signature dark hot chocolate, I also enjoy their salted caramel and chili chocolate cups and almost always carry back home some of their freshly baked breads. The place also has quite a few savoury items on its menu, but I'm yet to try those. Also, they do really nice gifting packages/baskets at different price ranges.
Definitely a must-visit for its chocolate items!

I haven't tried much of the items... but its chocolate pizza was amazing. After having that, there was not much of the place left in my tummy. So i took Almond cake home...its a dry cake.. soft enough and tasty as hell to make u fall in love wd them.Loved the place.. it gives a nice feeling of a cute little cafe where u can sit for hours and watch people come and go... having a sip of coffee/hot chocolate and talking..
My weekly visit to DLF promenade is incomplete without a visit to Choko La and relishing the cold coffee/ desserts there.
My favorite is the Caramel Coffee shake and hot chocolate in drinks.
While if you are looking for some snacks, their grilled veggie sandwich and Margerita pizza are a must have.
went their with one of my friend to try their famous "CHOCOLATE PIZZA".make sure before having it your stomach is empty :D as its tooooo heavy!!i loved it by the way!!
Surprise Surprise...as most of us might not know but this is an Indian coffee joint and that too of a quality which can easily fail the other International brands running out of India
The flavors are just majestic, be it its coffee or any bakery stuff.
All coffees are truly full of taste specially the Cinnamon coffee. The sandwiches are so different and yet so perfect.
Their Gold product is their desserts, just about best you can ever have. So true flavors on any item that you pick. Everything comes in all sizes and is exactly the same, you can have a pastry or a multi KG cake and it will be just the same as it is. Thus you can taste a pastry and order a cake and it will just be the same, and that's called consistency.
So proud to see and Indian brand doing so great not because it's a fluke but the deliverable are so perfect.
Since Choko La at Galleria has shut down I come here once in a while to get my fill of the hot chocolate. I love sitting at one of the tables and people watching.
The hot chocolate is the best I have ever had and am a fan. Do try it.
I loved the ambience
I loved the aroma
I loved the variety of chocolates they were offering
After having a couple of chocolates I took home a chocolate rose which was just amazing
Perfect place for chocolate lovers
Choko la has now been one of the oldest bakeries which is still maintaining its rep because of the originality in the taste and flavors of the cakes and pastries it offers!
I visited it 2 years back and recently when I visited 2 days back- I found one thing common: the freshness in the pastries !
Belgian chocolate truffle was my pick and the pastry was perfect! It had the richness of chocolate and wasn't moist at all from inside! I have developed a sweet tooth for this one!
Triple chocolate mousse was another smart picks ! I however thought that the former pastry was better! Triple chocolate mousse had a coffee tincture in the last layer , vanilla tincture in the top one!
I will recommend chokola any day, to try their pastries ! I would love to try tiramisu, when I visit again!
Its a 4/5!
IGNORABLE yet ADORABLE YAPPING :D
Yeyyyyy.. its Christmas time…The only festival which i celebrate as whole heartedly as Diwali.Christmas reminds me of my school days..those carols, prayers, first piano, church and awesomely cute…SANTA CLAUSE :)
Since my childhood,my xmas wish has always been around food, ice creams, desserts and gadgets.I have been a good boy all throughout this year and hopefully santa will give me more chocolates, desserts, candies and gadgets as a gift :D
Coming back to the topic, lets discuss about Choko La.I Mostly prefer spending this winter fest in Delhi due to its high Xmas Spirits (jaipur is catching up but..Delhi Celebrates xmas way better than us)
I first saw Choko La in Saket but after the first visit,i frequent their Vasant Kunj branch only, this review is based on many repeated visits. Some pictures are from my photo archives (not latest)
THE MAIN REVIEW
Ambience
This outlet is very conveniently located near gates of DLF Promenade, therefore while going out..we always stop and get some sweets packed from here.
Its small but very nicely maintained.its clean, very well decorated and displays a great variety of sweets.I wish the place was big enough to convince us for dine ins..but its fairly sufficient.
(after seeing few tiny outlets of angels in my kitchen,i can say that this outlet is not small :D)
Choko La always contributes to the mall decor.they do unique decorations matching the season..the chocolate xmas tree for example is being done since past few years but always looks very cute.
i will give it four on five for ambience
Service
Staff has always been generous and helpful.nicely trained to always maintain a smile. They help in selecting stuff and till you step out..they are always ready to help.
Delicate desserts are packed with great care, many times I carry the boxes to jaipur but never damaged anything in transit. (some other careless bakeries should learn from them)
They accept cards without asking questions, their packaging is awesome..no complaints at all
Four on five for service too
FOOD
Tastewise,ammm..i wont say anything is wayy out of the box.but almost everything i have tried till now was decent.
i dont like the extra milkiness in their products but well, thats my personal taste.everyone else loves it.
their Cheesecakes loaded cupcakes are my moms favourite.
what i have liked the most ..mmm..probably the double layered black forest, double chocolate cupcake and blueberry yogurt cheesecake.
Their handmade chocolate truffle box was quiet good.
Hot chocolate was..as i said milky..so i didn't like it…
in general if you ask me,everything is decent..except extra milky and cocoa taste in almost everything (which probably others will love)
three on five for taste
Value for money
three on five for VFM..some products are priced very high..n some are moderate..but nothing is cheap here.
Acceptable if you see the quality of ingredients used, presentation and brand value.Plus the fact that they have outlets in almost all big malls of delhi.
you are bound to spend something extra to avail all that.
FINAL VERDICT
I have been visiting them since many years and always felt satisfied.the variety is great, your food looks good.packed nicely,,what else do you want.
its undoubtedly recommended to sweetteeth of this community.and specially if you like typical cocoa and milky cheesy stuff..thn dont think
twice..Choko la ja aur kha kha kha :D:D:D ho ho ho ho (everything rhymesssssssssss )
Merry Christmas to all followers n each n every liking n commenting foodie ^_^
The first thing on your right when you enter Promenade Mall, Vasant Kunj, Choko La is a tiny coffee shop, full of all things chocolate. We thought to sit down for coffee after a long day at the mall and was tempted by their selection to order a lot more than just coffee. We ended up getting a truffle, a visually enthralling cream and chocolate cupcake, a cafe latte and a mad over chocolate shake. And it cost a mere Rs 500.
They play some really cool music, and overall I would recommend it as a nice place to chill out and rest your legs after a hard's day shopping in Promenade.
I love chokola and my love for this one will never die. I visit chokola only n only for their tiramisu. Nothing can beat these guys when it comes to their tiramisu. Its moist, it has right amount of sweetness n the hint of that coffee flavour just makes it out of the world delicious.
I am pretty happy to see chokola at promenade which is quiet big as compared to other outlet and the chocolaty brownish atmosphere just makes me fall in love with this place every single time. I ordered black forest pastry today whch was also good but i guess i shldnt have ordered it with tiramisu because that is the hands down winner according to me. Ill keep visiting chokola till the time server remembers my face or name haha !
Keep it up guys ! U r the best in town n i love you for the most random reasons. Love:-)
nice comfortable and inviting interiors...polite staff....their deserts are simply amazing. didn't try any of the snacks as i was too full already but would sure love to the next time. prices are on d higher side as each pastry costs at least Rs.150 but thats okay as the quality is simply amazing.
This is the best place for hard core chocolate lovers... I will rate it as the only place that provides authentic hot chocolate : it actually tastes like hot + chocolate ...the ambience is calm and the cupcakes are a work of art.
High on pricing but its worth every penny. Best to buy gifts for your loved ones who love chocolates
The place is inside a mall but has it's own charm with a brownish interior
It makes you feel pretty much at home even in the hustle bustle of a mall
It has become a pretty much a routine affair that I go there and buy their sunflower bread
Although on the higher side of price it leaves it competitors such as bakeries and pattesieres far behind
Must go place
A very strong recommendation for something a lot of people don't try here because of the 'chocolate' image: their take away breads! Absolutely delicious, soft and light.
The first time I bought their croissant I wasn't expecting something out of the box but when I tried it I was regretting not picking up a few more. I make it a point to pick up the croissants, focaccia and masala feta bread every now and then and enjoy them with my meals back home. Do try!
I only heard about this place but became a regular once we received a gift hamper from someone in our friend circle. The gift hamper comprised of a few tins of biscuits.
The almond Nutty something biscuit is absolutely one of its kind and the taste has not been replicated anywhere else.
Its a superb heavy biscuit if crumbled in some chocolate ice cream or vanilla ice cream makes for a fantastic dessert. The Tin costs 150 rupees and would have 12 thick biscuits.
The chocolates are also very good although a bit on the pricier side.
Choko la is really the place for true chocolate lovers. Their name is interpreted by me in a different way, la which means 'the' in french but bring it in hindi, and I with reference to Choko la say 'choko la se hi chocolate la' to all my friends if they are looking for chocolates. They have almost all kinds of chocolates that you can imagine. What I really like about Choko la are their gift packs and assortments, as they are perfect to give to your special ones as gifts.
I particularly like the very nutty milk mendiant choclate and the rochers(40rs/piece), pralines and nut studded milk chocolate bar are very good too and the flavor feels very real. They also have a lot of options in cookies and small assortments of chocolate cups with different flavors, and some deserts are there too.
Ambience and Food: Although this outlet is not ideal for having a meal as its designed more as a bakery with lots of options on display. There is a little place for sitting and some standing option too. The interiors bare a wooden look which complements the chocolates:)
In food, I have had a small sample of their stuff. The grilled vegetables foccacia was good in taste, margherita pizza was average. Some people also like to try their chocolate pizaa but I have tried to stay away from the unusual combo. Coffees are something that I always try here and Mocha chocolate coffee is very good and sinfully chocolatey, caramel cold coffee is a nice try too.
Service tends to be a little sluggish but not that bad over all if you just want your selection of chocolates. Choco la for an Indian company comes quite close in creating the same vibe that the likes of legendary Godiva chocolate bars/shops creates around the World.

Choko La first opened in the Basant Lok market and I remember being quite fascinated with the creamy, chocolatey exteriors. For a true devotee of chocolate, it is very eye-catching to see a place particularly devoted to this wonderful invention. It doesn't disappoint you when you enter, at least not with its desserts. There are rows and rows of delectable looking cakes, mousses and truffles. If you look closer, each of these is carefully designed and artistically decorated. I can truthfully say that the best cake I ever had was from this place. It was the chocolate truffle and I bought a slice. It was topped with some sweet pink creamy balls which I couldn't figure out. They were amazingly sweet and fairly melted in the mouth. Imagine my surprise when I asked them what it was and they answered 'beetroot!'. Yes, I know. Sounds yucky. But somehow it just wasn't. It was fantastic. It became my choice for birthday cakes, both my own and for loved ones, for at least the next few years.
I'd also give this restaurant full marks for ambience. The decor is in rich cream, coffee brown and warm red tones which are somehow very soothing to the eye. It also gives a very French feel, with couches near the windows, as well as big comfortable sofas for a group. The location of this Vasant Kunj outlet solves the problem of no longer having to visit the recently-turned-shady Priya market. Enter in the cool airconditioned comfort and breathe in the yummy fragrance of coffee and chocolate!
All is not peachy however. While the desserts of this place are exceptional, the ambience is lovely, I don't think it is the best place to sit down for an actual meal. We tried the bruchettas and sandwiches, nothing of which was exceptional. Meanwhile, the variety is so limited that we were really hard-pressed for options. The all-day breakfast is fine though, with a simple croissant or toast, and coffee. I tried the chocolate milk, which is their signature dish, but it was somehow a little too sweet, a little too rich and the quantity was so much that I got bored somewhere halfway.
The prices are pinchy...a wee bit. For 1/2 kg chocolate cake, you'd need to shell out about 1200! The desserts are the ones that add to the bill, though. For 2 dishes and 2 drinks, the cost would be about 1000. Which is not that bad.
Must try for the sweet toothed foodies. For the rest, it is average.
One of the best chocolates in the world that I had.. Awesome...

Its a good place to grab a quick coffee and a few munchies after a tiring afternoon at the malls. I tried the ChokoLa Dark and found it to be one of the best hot chocolates till date. The Viennese with Cinnamon was took a different route with a generous dash of cinnamon thrown in. Although I did witness a peculiar incident which I'd like to tell here -
My father ordered the Viennese with Cinnamon. Being a hot drink, we expected it to come without sugar already added but that wasn't the case here. My father, being a diabetic didn't want to consume it. We asked our server that why it already had sugar in it (the hot coffees there don't come with added sugar and the sugar sachets kept on each table were a pointer to that) to which he said that its not a coffee and so they add sugar irrespective of the customer's preference (I somehow don't buy the logic). Although, he was polite enough to replace the drink with a cappuccino (his exact words being "Sir, I will change your drink in case you don't want to to have it.') So, he got us a cappuccino and also gave us back the Viennese back saying that it would go waste anyway so we could consume if we wanted to. Till now, everything is fine but as the bill arrived, they had charged us for the cappuccino as well as the Viennese drink. We were confused, as we thought 'changing' the drink meant a replacement but that wasn't the case. We were in a hurry so couldn't clarify with the cashier. Don't whether it's their policy or a mistake on their part.
Otherwise, the place is worth a visit for the coffees and hot chocolates.
Its a very chocolaty place. A cute little corner it occupied in promenade, which is too enticing to ignore. The prices are high, but the pastries are heavenly! They have an unmatched smoothness and taste. On my wishlist here, are their hot chocolate drinks made from 70% cocoa and the cinnamon mocha which i haven't tried yet. I'm sure that'll be great too.
But having tried most of their bakery products, i'd recommend you to go here to indulge. Don't look at the prices for once, just dig in and enjoy:)
We had the chocolate crumble cake and it tasted amazing
I would love to try more products from them!!!
Chokola's Chocolate is best and excellent chocolates. Quality is superb. Quantity is great. Price is reasonable. Taste is yummy and delicious.
They have a small sitting arrangement. . If you’re a coffee and chocolatier fan, this place should it, am partial to the place coz of their hot chocolate, cold coffee shakes and pastries. They also sell coffee beans
ChokoLa had been on my list of Dessert parlors to review for a long time and I finally got the opportunity to do the same. This outlet is located in the Posh and Happening Khan Market. It serves a big variety of Desserts, Cakes, Customized Chocolates, Breads and Drinks.
I Began with tasting the 35% Milk Chocolates and 55% Dark Chocolates which can also be used in cooking. Both were velvety and extremely consistent in the taste.
Then i tried the Coffee Caramel Pastry which was mousse based and it didn't excite my taste buds much.
Next i tried The Mixed Berry Cheesecake, Not the best cheesecake i have tried but quite satisfactory.
Coming to the Belgian Chocolate Truffle Pastry, This cant be described in words and I highly recommend you to experience this for yourself.
The Butterscotch Crunchies were a tasty nibble and you can definitely pair it with something savoury.
I Also recommend the ChokoLa Rochers which are Nuts dipped in dark chocolate and they are really rich and tasty.
It gets an overall rating of 4/5

Amazing taste of fine chocolates
Have been going for years.
Love all their milk chocolates and fresh baked cakes.
Bought a chocolate chip cookie cake from here today... it's SUPER delicious! And the customer service is great as well, they took care of my grandmother and explained their products with keen interest and a smile.
Plum cake packaging is good and neat
