I'd thought the Delhi of lore was only an enigma - the Delhi where people took minutes out of their lives to care for strangers was but a myth.
A take out order here changed that.
I have Never received such warm service at a restaurant from such genuine people. I really appreciated that they seemed to know the rest of their patrons by name, and were willing to take time out to stay a few minutes at their tables and catch up and joke with them.
Besides service, the food was great. The coke was not overloaded with ice, and the burger buns were soft and yummy. It was a really good deal at a reasonable price.
Can't get over the super-warm service though. Wimpy's, you have won my heart and helped me recover my faith ๐
Was really exited when i saw wimpeys in hauz khas because there used to be a outlet in Jalandhar, Punjab then it hot shut down. It was a nostalgia trip for me. We had grilled chickn burger and veggie burger. Surprisingly even the veggie burger was amazing.
They dont have over the top burgers and srick to the simplicity which works for me just fine
This place has the best hamburgers in town. I am surprise to see so many bad reviews. I have tried them more then 100 times. They are the best

I have been going to Wimpy's for the past decade or so and the quality of the hamburger (normal, maxi or king size) has remained consistent which is only one that I order.
Wimpys has been around for ages from gk1 to CP to the New delhi railway station and now only at Aurobindo market but honestly the chicken in a bun and the spicy bean burger have tasted exactly the same forever.. So good!
Undoubtedly the best mutton burger in town since decade s. It has never dissappointed,and is consistent.

Ordered chicken pizza and veggie pizza, for a change it was nice having a homemade kinda pizza, ( unlike crappy overrated pizza hut n dominos) with soft and light crust along with veg nuggets which tasted fine too, the seating is out in the front in open and limited which is fine in winters but becomes unbearable in summers.
Overall its a nice not too expensive place for a quick bite.
Car can be parked right in front of the place.
Wimpy is one those places etched in childhood memory. It's where we went when we didn't go to Nirulas. It also had the reputation of being more expensive than Nirulas and for serving lamb burgers. While they've largely disappeared across the country, the store at Aurobindo Place continues to remain extant.
Burgers are still good. For is still affordable. And the service though slow and largely smile - less is fine.
We went there for a quick bite during lunch time and it felt great to still have places where the food is affordable.
The menu had grown and the addition of drinks such as cold coffee makes the experience nicer.
Meal for two including parking 600/-
For that tate of the familiar and a whiff of nostalgia, Wimpy is worth the visit.

Growing up in pro McDonalds era (now there will be a post McD era too), Wimpy's and Nirula's was the place for fast food and also affordable burgers etc.
It is still nice to go to Wimpy's and get a burger
The service or the ambience is not that what it used to be at the CP joint on the radial road to janpath ...but certainly worth a visit
Maxi and spicy chicken are worth trying
Used to come here everyday after my class, the spicy chicken burger is delicious and fries are decent . Won't forget the day when the guy gave me a free burger , hope he's not fired .
Words cannot describe how good this place is after a good clubbing night or a pre clubbing or night out. They have the most amazing burgers and nothing can compare to their taste and quality.
The all time legends are the spicy chicken burger & lamb burger . I need not say more. I do not know why the ratings are low but this place is definitely making a comeback.

Located in the aurobindo market, wimpy was one of my favourite places to eat in childhood however the quality of food and cleanliness had decreased. They have few seating outside their outlet. Service and pricing is average. I love love love their french fries, so thin and crispy! Also their ice tea is amazing. But they don't have any consistency with their pizzas or burgers. Wish they would have better and more hygienic eating surroundings since they were once a big name in the market.
Its a small outlet located near hauz khas village with small open seating arrangement. I ordered a double maxi burger with cheese over there and quality and quantity wise its perfect. Its a self service outlet and if you will feel awkward to eat in open then take away will be a great option.

Wwooww what a burger.... Never expected it to be so good as it was bit expensive ( obviously had to be as located in HKV.... LOL ) but amazing chicken burgers with a good size and amount of fillings enough for a large appetite.
I have been visiting this place since I was a kid. One of my favourite childhood places. But now the quality has really decreased. Also now lot of other options like kfc ,burger king, mc donalds etc have come up. The fries are still good though. Can be tried if you don't have an option. Cheers!
Wimpy is my choice for burgers... I would suggest to try its hamburger for which its quite famous... And the mutton burgers are really good here...
Wimpy's has been a childhood favourite, dishing out some of the most scrumptious hamburgers ever. Many burger chains have come up but it is still difficult to come up with the flavours Wimpy's Hamburger carries. Their Double Maxi Hamburger is one of the best in the trade, if not the best! Small, simple and modest place with outdoor sitting in the market, but a hamburger lover's delight! Try it out๐๐ป

Wimpys, oh god! The burger place, our burger place since decades. Big one in cp, a really happening one in gk1 and then they just shut down. After ages I got to know that their is one at aurobindo. Quite shabby and not kept well, but I didn't mind, ordered my favourite spicy bean burger and there it was gushed down my throat in no time. While having it I really felt that I had missed it all these years. I wish they had made a nice outlet.
There is something about their hamburger/lamb burger that just takes one back to childhood. This is not a review but more of a thanks to this restaurant for just keeping it open despite low ratings and if im not wrong then even low sales. Dont compare this place to any other burger place because honestly they dont stand a chance in probably any parameter but give a chance to their lamb burger if you're a fan (tell them to cook the patty well) and you wont be disappointed. Its a no frills burger and also that no other mainstream burger company does a lamb burger (minus burger king which is a new entrant). I hope this place stays open forever!
Now slipped into obscurity, Wimpy's has always been my favorite for burgers. The mustard sauce that they give with their burgers is so authentic and strong! It's really something special, not to be found anywhere else. Have always enjoyed the food at this outlet, but my last experience was not so great. The bun was too thick and patty too thin. They need better quality control, and they might just survive.
I have always been fond of traditional eateries more than the urban, swanky qsrs that have inundated into our country post the liberalisation phase. And wimpy is one of the few, surviving restaurants which can give you that taste, both culinary and aesthetic. Thanks to a local friend, who took me to this place yesterday. First things first - the staff is very friendly and they suggest you options based on your appearance. Can you believe that!!!
Come to the food.. I ordered chicken in a bun. The bread was not so nice but the filling was very good. Crispy chicken fillet which was hot and tangy. Definitely better than the ones in mcd or KFC. My friends ordered ham burgers and the reviews were similar.
Come here if you want to taste a burger that traces its roots to the pre - mcd period and you won't be disappointed. But don't expect a world class service.
The spicy bean Burger is the God of Non McDonald's burgers. The business runs slow but the burgers are nice and juicy. They have a different bun than the usual and that's what sets them apart. Their mustard is a delight. The pizzas are rather extra crunchy and diet pizzas as far as cheese is concerned. But the bean Burger steals the show.๐๐๐End of review.

It's a small take away sort of joint and I guess the oldest over here, so please don't look out for comfort sitting..they have 2-3 plastic table chair sets.
But the burgers r reasonably good.
So enjoy eating.
Visited my childhood burger place today! Ordered a vegetarian meal. Loved the taste, it immediately reminded me of the childhood days. The burger tasted delicious. However the sitting area was a bit sad. Nevertheless plan to visit the place again to revisit the childhood memories!
There's something about this place that refuses me to think anything negative about the burgers here. As a child the only burger place that we used to have was Wimpy's and the fries were the freshest. Though with the invasion of Big Daddy's of burgers, Wimpy's couldn't keep up with the pace and the flavors and the new age thinking.
Nevertheless, I will never refuse a Wimpy's burger, I might just die of starvation but will never accept a McDonald's or a Burger King.
Hope one of the VC's identify this brand and revive it from its slumber.

The 'vintage classic' would hold the best definition for this place. The burgers here are cheap on pocket and are amazingly good to have. One can check in here whenever one is in a good mood to eat the best of the lot burgers. A win win situation for you to try a new place and to have a bunch of sexy burgers!
The double lamb maxi burger is really awesome.!! Survived on their burgers while living in HKV for a year.
Simple small setup with a friendly staff.
The burgers here are obviously their USP. My personal favourite is the Maxi Lamb Burger. Definitely one of the better lamb burgers you'd have anywhere in the city. The cold coffee dispenser is a bit shaky though, gave me extremely water-like cold coffee, which had to be mended twice to be called that. Good joint for a quick bite though, if you're partying around Hauz Khas.
I have grown up on wimpy burgers..This was the only place in my childhood which shaped the meaning of fast food in the city..And I always used to love having the chicken nuggets,French fries,vegetable burger and the spicy chicken burger.Whenever I visit Hauz Khas I make it a point to come here and relive my childhood memories.

I love Wimpy's Aurobindo Market coz it's the last of this India's first fast food restaurant chain left and I absolutely love their Lamb Hamburger offerings! Maxi cheese hamburger is just delicious and an all time favorite. The simple preparation beats all other lamb burgers offered by almost every other restaurant! ๐

I love this place...
Food is actually better than you'd expect. Definitely so when you consider the price! The menu is very simple, unlike many of the newer eateries today but, what they make, they make very well. This outlet unfortunately does not have much by way of seating availability but you can sit around here and there in the market. The staff is very polite and service pretty quick. Go there when you're in the mood for some simple, old school snacking!
I would always strongly recommend this place as I have been seeing and going to this outlet for almost 20 years now and even though they have not grown in size in terms of outlet space but they have definitely maintained their great taste of their chicken and lamb burgers. The outdoor sitting is good but not in summers. Their burgers are their USP.
Its been there since I was a small child. It's chicken in a bun burger is my favourite. Prepared in a jiffy, always served hot! It has 3 tables to dine on, if you are in a hurry or super hungry and need a quick bite, this is a go to place.
Great place for all sorts of Bean burgers, probably the only place in Delhi to serve Bean burgers! It's a simple outlet - no air-conditioning, fancy tables and chairs or service staff. But the burgers are crisp, clan and very yum! Wimpy has a small menu but the food is fresh and delectable all through!
Love their burgers, especially after a few drinks they just taste divine! Plus they are open till 1 am, so it's a good place to satisfy those late night cravings.

It was very late at night I was in a hurry and was hungry so I didn't cared about the service or anything. I tried ham burger maybe it was a long time ago it was made of lamb meat I know that it was ok or maybe more than that. I didn't loved it.
