It is a regular dhabha type restraunt where you can have lunch it dinner at very cheap rates.
100 for thali Or chapattis and a veg ..
Located near patel nagar metro station, you can get daily lunch or dinner if you want to eat daily without putting out much money
The best aloo gobhi in the entire zomato ,I have been ordering from here since the lockdown started but bfr that I tired from every restaurant that had aloo gobhi in it ,tastes like home cooked ,I ordered so many times that this dish and dal fry became their bestsellers lol
I visited this place with my friend recently and I really liked the taste of the food. I ordered daal makhani, kadhi, rice and butter roti. All the food items were fresh and tasty. Service was fast and good. Tables were clean. It is a good place if you are looking for basic food items. Will definitely visit again to try more food items of this place.
Best place for homely like food
When you miss out on a meal this is one of the best places to go. food is good. Quick service. Limited menu. Stick withthe basics and you are set
I went to this place as it is near my library and that day my tiffin wala didn't deliver food. This place offers very homely and good food. Also, the rates are quite adequate. Economical! Tasty! Homely! You can go every day and eat.
The food is awesome, not too spicy, not too oily, perfect comfort food. Onion paratha was mouth watering and rajma was also super yummy. The owner was very polite too.
Good place if you are looking for simple food. Tastes like homemade food and preparation is always fresh. Also the waiters are very courteous and provide very good service

My favourite place to eat homely vegetarian food in Delhi. Best food as always. We miss this food in Gurgaon. Healthy, hygienic & perfectly cooked with less oil & spices.
Quantity and Quality is mind blowing.. Finger licking food... Must try.. staff and owner both are co operative... All dishes were very tasty... They also take care of hygiene...
Very nice food as always. Rajmah Chawal is always best in town. Keep it up. Will try other new dishes soon and if possible will have it in onsite.
Ambience was better than I expected, the restaurant has been recently renovated so it is super clean. The service of the food is of superior quality, the steward kept asking me for more chapatis and had a lot of patience
Today I ordered breakfast and delivery was very quick and food was also good and fresh. Highly recommend this for a pocket friendly food. Great food.....
its an old restaurant, newly renovated. restaurant offers neat, clean and healthy vegetarian food. Reasonable price.. enough parking space in front.

Best one considerating quality and quantity at this price level.
Restaurant has got a complete makeover.
Far better and cleaner ambiance , food quality improved , price unchanged.
Overall- 4.0
Very cheap compared to the ambiance and quality it has got.
Food -- 3.5 A "dhaba" indeed. Not very standard but homely, edible and cheap meals available here. It is the best one can have at this price level, more than what it is priced at.
You can go here if :
Need a full meal under Rs 100 or
Not in a mood to have typical restaurant food or
You always eat outside food.
But students living in this area even go there for daily regular meals ,thus the food is edible here.
Kadhi pakoda and kadhai paneer are the only two edible items here. Dal may be tried.
They do home deliveries also.
A new "thali" has been added in the delivery menu.
Ambiance-. 3.5 --outside food is allowed here .Earlier it was very dirty but with an upgrade it feels far more tidy and fresh. Advised to order bottled water.
Location 5.0 -- just beside metro station.
Pros--- Very cheap.
Allows you to bring your own food items i.e outside eateries allowed.
I just cant get enough of the dhabba food....
Kadai panner... Yes i fell for its hot and spicy flavors.. Its a very simple restaurant with very simple flavours...
It just saved me from starving through coaching clssses.. Hot rotis and channa just filled my tummy...
Missing home cooked food ?? Jus hop in to venus dhaba & satisfy your craving for home cooked food.
Coming directly to food i ordered :-
▶️ Dal Tadka - ( My personal fav. ) i have been eating there dal when i was a kid & till date they have maintained the same taste.
Consistency was good, not too thick not too thin. It had a good tadka off jeera & dry red chilli.
▶️ Jeera Aloo - size of the aloo was perfect with perfect blend of indian spices.
To give the perfect dhaba taste it was prepared with chopped tomatoes & onions.
▶️ Paneer Bhurji - paneer bhurji was perfect , the paneer was fresh & soft.
It had chopped tomatoes & green chilli to give the perfect taste.
▶️ Butter Fried Rice - don't go on it's name, it's no fried rice. It's tomato n onion rice the same way we cook at home ( tamatar pyaz waale chawal ). The rice was overcooked it was high on salt.
P.S - My review is based on my personal choice
Do try - Dal tadka & Jeera Aloo
Very cheap and lovely food. In vincinity of metro station. Lovely paratha options. Chaap is delicious. A must try. Awesome for students. Please try this place.
Khana achcha, fresh and cheap hai. Maalik paagal hai. Beware! Chup chap ja kar khana kha k aa jao n agar mood achcha nahi hai to ladh k aa jao.
A good option for vegetarians. Verg cheap homely style food that does not feel on your pocket. A must go option for students living around this area .
Want to try delicious and economical vegetarian food then this is the right place better than any other dhaba in rajinder nagar.this dhaba delivers in old as well as new rajinder nagar. This place serve only tawa roti which is always a better option then tandoori Roti's .a must try is its delicious malai kofta, kari pakora, zeera aloo .this place also serves seasonal vegetables with as usual all the paneer veggies. A heaven for vegetarian s. The food quantity is also good and taste is marvellous. For the first time I found a place where spices are added in adequate amount not like bland food served at other dhabas in near by regions
One of the places where you can find "mummy ka khana ".
I've been living in patel nagar for 4 months and i can surely tell you that this is the place that i ve most often frequented.I am very doubtful whether i can find any place in delhi as affordable and clean as this one.
But for the ones who think they are going to have a five star dining experience ,
sorry sounds like your in the wrong place,.
Taste,affordability,hygiene clearly outweigh the competitors.
taste:4.5
hygiene:4
ambience :3
service:5
affordability:5
But don't expect petty change from the owner,
u ll get melody .
The waiters here are quite honest and working all the time.
he he.
awesome food nd kudos to all the reviews
After living in Patel nagar for 3 years and with my maid taking her unannounced weekly offs I found out the solution to my problem and that was Venus dhaba. It is situated just near to Patel nagar metro station and is a small eating joint serving food which tastes just like mom made. I have still not gone to sit and eat there but I have been getting the home delivery whenever I get a chance. For me it’s a home away from home eating place. Whenever I am home sick I order from here, that makes it once every fortnight. The food is at my place within 15 mins and that says about their service.
I have tried everything on the menu and it’s too good. Must try rajma, kadhi, baigan bharta, paneer bhujji, aloo jeera, aloo parantha, paneer parantha and the rotis are tawa roti just like home. For everyone working/staying away from home, if u are in Patel nagar do order from Venus dhaba and try it, u won’t be disappointed.
One of the best places to have a vegetarian Punjabi meal. Inexpensive, tasty and wholesome. Even the "Half" plates come in an overwhelming quantity. Must try: Aaloo and Paneer Parathas for Breakfast with Curd; Black Dal (Dal fry), Paneer Bhujia and rotis for lunch/dinner. The green chutney is amazing too.
Not for the hygiene Nazi!
I was searching for a place to live in south patel nagar when I first saw this place. At 2 in the afternoon this palce looked like a tiny room with a lot of crowd. A person making rotis and parathas was standing right next to the cash counter and preparing rotis in a flash like manner. I decided to give this place a shot and believe me or not, that has been the best food that I've ever had for the small amount of money that i was asked to pay. This place has a waiter who doesn't forget anything. he can serve 20 people at a time without getting confused and I have no clue how he does that. The place has a number of items in the menu and all of it is delicious. Soya chaap has been my favourite. They serve regular North Indian stuff like Rajma, Daal Makhni, Paneer gravies, Kadhi Pakoda, Chana Paneer and like. In the mornigs they serve aloo paratha with a delicious aloo ki sabzi which really good. The kheer that is served here is really nice as well. This place should definitely be given a shot.
Nice place 4 regular home food, esp 4 students.
fastest home delivery i ve ever seen...
Are you a home-sick student? or Are you an "aam aadmi" living in a rented apartment working in Delhi? or Are you a married guy but your wife lives in a different city?
Missing your mom? Missing your wife? Missing home-cooked food? Do you feel bad when your office colleagues bring tawa roti with bhindi or rajma or aloo-gobhi for lunch and all you have is a stale dabba?
Venus Dhaba is your solution, my friend. It has been there for almost 50 years, and I have been eating there for more than 7 years and I know people who are a regular since almost 12 years, and trust me, this dhaba is brilliantly consistent.
Located just next to patel nagar metro station, it's a small place with a dedicated staff that has been there for years. The success of this little magic place is credited to three people majorly (in this generation) - the chef, the roti-wala and most importantly the waiter. The chef will make an excellent father/mother just because he has mastered the art of cooking "ghar jaisa khana". The Himesh Reshammiya fan cum roti maker makes roti at a speed faster than your internet connection. And the show stealer - the waiter - is the most efficient man I've ever known. He is 36, and has been working at Venus for more than 24 years. He is excellent with numbers (MBA aspirants can take some Quant classes), he'll never ever go wrong with your bill, in fact if you're with a group, he can even split the bill according to the number of roti's you have eaten. And talk about hospitality, you will never ever have to wait or call him for an extra roti, he'll always be around, handling all 14 tables by himself.
Food - Barring Shahi Paneer, everything else is pitch perfect, just like your home. From a simple Dal Fry to the Punjabi preparation of Rajma (the best you can get outside your grandmother's place), from the "vegetable of the day" (we used to pray for aloo gobhi) to the ever exotic and brilliant and consistent paneer bhurji, Venus serves food for your soul. The prices have almost tripled in the past seven years, but the quality of food makes it worth everything. The economical thali which you can actually customize is an excellent dinner option. I'd also recommend the awesome Kadhi, fantastic Paneer Paratha, lovely chhole with butter fried rice. For desserts, they serve kesari kheer which is undoubtedly the best 20 bucks can buy. The kheer is actually made by the waiter, and he refuses to disclose the ingredients. An absolute must have.
I have a lot of memories associated with this place, I still make it a point that I visit Venus once in a while because it makes me happy, very very happy. Don't miss the complimentary jaggery during winters :)
Hi, I am living in patel nagar for around 5 years and GHAR JAISA JAIKA to bas VENUS Dhaba pe hi milta hai...Thanks Venus...Jitesh.............
Well it may not be a fancy place to eat but it's a paradise for every-day food..
I've been in Delhi for 6 years, and for the first time i've left patel nagar.. even when my internship was in gurgaon, i stayed in patel nagar only bcz of venus.. and I have known ppl who have been eating there for 12 years... The prices may have doubled in just a span of 4 years... but one can not just ignore the epic food. The best part of the food is it's simplicity. It's a 47 year old dhaba and there is an absolutely awesome waiter who must be having a brilliant IQ and has been working for the past 25 years.
If you want to eat simple home-made food... just go to venus..
Must tries -> Paneer bhurji, Rajma, Kadhi... Kheer is epic. so is the service.,. 5 years back Shahi Panir was awesome, but now it's kinda sweet, so quite subjective to taste.. Lassi is decent.. The cook, roti wala and waiter are just too good!
When I was sad, when I missed home I dint need a shoulder, I just needed rajma chawal :)
(the owner is kinda uncool)
---- a student of IHM Pusa!
Very good hygienic food clean restaurant good taste
Delicious food and politely behaviour of all staffs
Good food. Infact very good food in Patel Nagar. It has been recently renovated. Now it's look has been completely changed and I just like it. Onion paneer Parantha are quite delicious. You may also try rajma here. Which too is quite good. It's thali is also good.
Regular paneer sabjis like kadai paneer, paneer butter masala etc are not upto the mark.
The best part is
It's quite affordable here.
Although they have increased the prizes by a bit after renovation.
If you are in Patel Nagar
It's a go to place when you are hungry
All paneer dishes here are best 👍 I loved it ❤
A very good budget place, specially for students. Taste is nice and service is fast. Dal fry is a must try and my favourite is mixed paratha. It was delicious. The only cons of this place is that it does not has a washroom. But that is justified because this place is meant to serve its local customers.
Best food and cheapest price...the food here is exactly as north indian home food. You will never feel bad after having your meals here. Since they keep it simple, clean and use the best ingredients in the preparation. I have been eating here since the time i could not even afford the cheapest of the food. Highly recommneded.
Hygienic, clean, spacious as compared to other mess and dhaba in Patel Nagar.
Nearby metro walking distance
It is nice economical dhaba which offers veg and non veg food. I like the parathas specially mixed paratha, paneer onion paratha with the mint chutney.
Super neat and clean place with reasonable prices and they serve fresh food with just like Ghar jaisa swaad ..very hygenic ...must visit
Must try kesar kheer, just don't miss out take away is good but dine in is best. Good taste affordable 👍🏻
Very nice food at low price hygienic and clean. Just like home.
Cheap and best food for all. You can get variety of vegetarian items.
