One of the decent and worthy restaurants you will find in karol baug. Quality of food served is good. Service is average, taste is good. Ambience is very good if you want to spend quality time with loved ones as it's hard to find one in Karol baug in any restaurants.
Nice place to have tasty Punjabi dishes. Additionally I like the honey chilly potato and pasta from here. Staff is nice to you and place is also nice.

Have tried egg biryani and egg curry.. They are good... Its only restaurant that provides egg biryani in locality... Food tastes mouthwatering.. Mushroom masala was also tasty.. Their minimum order is at times forces to order more than required unnecessary... Must try place though!!

I was back from a long 11 hour drive from Amritsar to Delhi and for obvious reasons we didn't want to go back home to get to the kitchen and start cooking, so we ordered online from this outlet which was rated very well on both swiggy and zomato. We had a lot of Mughlai and Indian food on our trip so we wanted to have Chinese food.
Located in the over crowded main Old Rajender nagar market this outlet is situated close to Mother dairy (vegetable) booth and the popular juice shop. Parking can be a big issue so we choose home delivery option.
We ordered for an appetiser along with a portion of rice and a main which was apt for the two of us. Chili Chicken which was a appetiser was spicy enough to be enjoyed for me but for my wife it was a tad bit on the higher side, it had plenty of veggies to compliment the fried chicken balls. For our mains we chose the Fish in Chili garlic sauce (they have an option of 4 Sauces, we chose the chili garlic), boy this was fantastic and paired up very well with the rice. The quantity of both fish and chicken were excellent and the pricing too was moderate for a small place like this.
Will I visit again, for sure and this time I will be having their Indian food as I have been reading great reviews from my trust worthy friends on Zomato.
Hi guys....i had my official party so many times and trust me its very nice place to hang out....best service n best quality of veg n non veg food....have haryali chicken, dahi ke kabab, chili manchurian dry, paneer tikka followed by chicken and mutton biryani....all in all a nice restaurant to have family dinner wid best qualiry and quantity of food....thanks Saurabh bhai for giving us option to have nice feeling and pleasure in ur restaurant.....Amazing Place....

Heard a lot about the tomatoes kitchen biryani so tried it for the first time ordered chicken biryani and chefs special chicken beliram with rumali roti ..first biryani a bit different from others biryani exact amount of spices perfect taste coming to chicken beliram which was keema gravy and chicken pieces again bang on rumali which was served with it was so soft and fresh.Enjoyed my meal the only thing they need to be little fast . RECOMMENDED FOR SURE.
So we ordered Penne Pasta Alfredo in white sauce, Stuffed mushroom, soya chaap masala and Garlic Naans. Besides the soya chaap masala being a little too spicy (which i guess is our fault as we didn't ask them) the food was really good and worth the money. I'd say this place needs to be rated above 4 for the taste and the speedy delivery. So for all those who read this, TRY THIS PLACE OUT!!!

Visited the outlet for the first time on Tuesday with a couple of friends for a birthday treat. Ordered Chicken Afghani, Achari paneer tikka and Fish Orlay for starters. A good choice we made for starters. The taste was surprisingly different from most places and the portions were good as well. For main course we had ordered Paneer Butter masala, Rarra meat and butter naans. And we were very satisfied with the taste of the main course as well. All in all a good experience at the outlet. The owner and staff are very cordial and prompt. A must visit if you havent been here. Keep up the good work Team Tomatoes Kitchen.
Ambience ok kind f. Food quality is very good. Inside decor is stuffy but nice.not much spacious. Ordered chilly mushroom. Very well prepared exact amount f crunchiness complimented the chilly flavour. In Main course egg hakka noodles and Hong Kong chicken. Both well prepared. Gravy felt tasty when taken with noodles. Had a nice tym 😊

Saturday night , plans for a BBQ party at a friend's place in Gurgaon , last minute my ride fiches me , no mood to drive apne all the way. So stood up. Last minuet plans , explore the area around my temp residence and find food. ORN Market is familiar grounds for me having gone to school here , was surprised by the transformation this place has gone through , now it is a vast ghetto of youngster PG' s in town to attend various coaching institutes and like all student centric neighbourhoods , even this place is littered with economically priced eateries , however unlike other student centric areas , all eateries here are pretty basic , in terms of , cuisines , costing and decor , no fancy new ideas , decors or themes , pretty boring actually .
Walking around I came across Tomatoes , at least the name was creative and it was one of the very few places , where you could not look in directly off the street , so some privacy. Decided to walk out of the over crowded street into calmness. First impression as I entered , is it really a good idea , while the streets outside and the other restaurants in the area were bursting to seams , this place was totally empty , nice air consisting , basic but comfortable seating , four , four sweater tables , but none of them taken. However having taken the first step decided to stay and taste their fares. Once seated inside that they have two more levels to this place one basement and a first floor too and the sounds from the first floor reassured me that I was not the sole dinner in the house , there were more people eating upstairs. I guess upstairs is the preferred seating area as couple more groups of diners who came in while I was dinning , headed straight to the first floor.
Menus offering a range on North Indian and Chinese offering and a couple of Thai curries too decided to start off with a non veg hot and sour soup (₹85/-) and a chicken in green Thai curry (₹285/-) , which came with a serving of boiled rice. The server was efficient and courteous throughout the evening but the service was really slow , the soup came after a fifteen minute wait and after finishing that there was a further fifteen minute wait for the main.
The portions were barely enough , the taste clean , not really yummy but palatable , Thai curry had at least thrice the amount of Broccoli , mushrooms and other assorted vegetables in comparison to chicken , was more of a Broccoli curry with some chicken thrown in . At ₹400/- including tip it was not really a VFM meal.
The food was ok for a neighborhood hangout , so if you are home ( or hostel ) and want a slight change do go here and eat but certainly will not recommend the place for a planned outing or an event.

Very fulfilling, nice servings and service. The dahi k kebab were really nice. The prices were a bit high compared to the ambience of the place but the food is worth a try for nearby people. Also one feedback for the restaurant. don't waste food on serving decoration. Instead make the decoration edible in proper pieces.

The food i have always ordered tasted good every time. Especially kasturi kabab which is called bano kabab, tikkas wrapped in egg coating. Tandoori chicken , bit different style but recommended for sure. If you keep quality and service intact or can improve; you will surely win hearts and people will come back to you. Keep it up.

I discovered Tomatoes kitchen by chance. The brightly lit signboard outside stood out amidst the darkness. We tried both chinese and indian dishes, since we went in a large group. The highlight of the dinner was lemon fish, and chicken kaali mirch tikka was the best I have ever had. Anyone who goes there must definitely order chicken kaali mirch tikka once. Prices also seemed reasonable, around 300 bucks per head. After having food there, all of us were left wondering why Tomatoes is so under rated inspite of serving great food at good prices s.
I have been to Tomatoes Kitchen twice with my friends. Both the times the overall culinary experience we had was simply amazing. Their non vegetarian fare is definitely the best in the area. Ordered chicken Kali mirch tikka, chicken kebabs, daal makhni, butter chicken and naan. The quality of stock used and the preparation were very good. Service was prompt, and the waiter was helpful in recommending the house specials. My friend who was new to the city was especially impressed with the decor,service and of course, the dishes we ordered. Definitely the place to go if you relish mughlai cuisine.

Complete value for money. Excellent well cooked variety of snacks and main course. High spending does not guarantee best quality but low cost food does guarantee low quality. It's better to spend an extra penny and get trust of hygiene and good taste rather than looking for saving that extra penny. Tomatoes offers Good hygienic food with taste at the most reasonable cost. Couple of good items to taste: Pudina tandoori chicken; Kali Mirch Tikka; Thai red chicken dry; saag meat; butter chicken and Bukhara naan.

Amidst the chaotic streets of rajinder nagar the peaceful environment inside albeit bit cramped up in terms of space strikes the right chord to settle you down.

I am shocked to see tomatoes being so underated on zomato. Pinches the pocket but the quality of food served is good. If hygiene matters then this is the place to stop and fuel up. Chinese food not being that great but regular north indian stuff bang on. Some of my favt - clear soup lot of veggies in it, corn malai tikka, butter chicken and roti even the pulao is good .. Overall i will give 3.5 on 5 .. Better than all other restaurants in rajinder nagar..
Pasta was good..... Chopsuey above average but somewhat sweet..... And soup yuck.....couldn't even finish it.....ambience okay..... Can give a try.... Tried it again ... food isn't that bad... actually somethings are really good.... that's why upgrading the ratings from 2.5 to 3.5
Visited here many times. The Ajwaini Fish Tikka is excellent. Must try. Other fish dishes are also good. Veg clear soup was also very tasty.

It's quite known among my friends & acquaintances that I'm a big sucker for experimenting with food and trying out new restaurants. So much so that if the power to decide the place rests upon me; I'd almost NEVER choose to goto a restaurant more than once.
But I must admit, choosing a place, despite knowing its dismal rating of 2.7; that too on the valentine's day; for a brief meet-up had me completely on tenterhooks. The choices were quite limited because of the area chosen for the meet. Infact; to be precise; there were 2 options only - either it was going to be the tried & tested (& loved) Flashback cafe or goto a completely unknown (& unpopular on zomato) entity like tomatoes. But then, that's why love is so goddamn amazing. Sensing my dilemma and knowing my aversion to going to a place more than once, my partner herself asked to tryout tomatoes :) :) :)
This place is as close to a fine dine restaurant as it can get in an area mainly resided by students. Since they can't spend much because of their limited pocket money so the owner din't go overboard with his budget and kept the designing to minimal and classy. Tables for 4 are arranged in rows along the walls with beautiful painting on top of each. An LCD has also been placed at the far end wall to cash-in on the worldcup fever.
While the lady was quite sure about her order (noodles); owing to their bad rating; I was quite apprehensive about what to order; so I ended up asking the help from the server who suggested one of their thalis. Feeling li'l hungry I jumped onto his suggestion and immediately ordered chilli garlic noodles and a veg thali. The noodles though quite indianized (as expected) tasted great. The thali comprised of dal makhani, paneer, raita, pulao & 2 breads. All the items were well prepared and I wasn't able to find a single fault with any of the items, making me dubious of their low rating.
Can be tried for the only (& therefore the best) fine dine experience in this area.
Good Food. Better than many hotels in Rajinder Nagar. Food is quite affordable and the ambience was great. Vegetarian food was okay but Non veg food was awesome. The butter chicken, lemon chicken was good. Worth trying this place at least once if you happen to visit Rajinder Nagar.
Thank god it's Tomatoes now. Rajender nagar has been deprived from such authentic and yum food for long. The food is so well cooked and every flavour is so well embedded that you don't need to drive away any where else. The experience so far has been brilliant. Yum yum to their fish dishes and love the chicken curry...... Service is quick and that's what you want when you are hungry.......

Now, we ordered soup and a starter in the beginning.. Both were awesome.. Full marks to their chefs for the presentation... It seemed like whosoever cooked our meal did take pain in doing so, taking care of all the intricate details .
I am a diehard fan of paneer ! Their paneer butter masala was spot on... ! Then the fried broccoli too was a nice dish ! Amongst bread, the chilli parantha was really nice ... The food was served hot and fresh ! The music played was good too...

First of all i would start with ambience which was pretty awesome compared to ORN STANDARDS just accurate for evenings with family and friends ..then comes hospitality and services must say good and friendly service spacious in such small place ..food quality and quantity just awesome ....we ordered THAI GREEN CURRY ..HAKKA NOODLES ...CHICKEN TIKA ...CREAM OF TOMATO SOUP which was enough for 4 people ...presentation was up to the mark very elegant ..thai green curry was something new to me but it was lip smacking people who don't like spice much just go for it ...spices were just accurate neither to salty nor to spicy ..u can always tell them how u want ur meal to be i.e spicy or just lil spicy and they would adjust it according to u ...now comes the cost must say economically best as compared to what they are giving they are charging really less ..so everything is just awesome only thing they need to improve is add more dishes to the menu ..other than that just awesome
Good food at reasonable pricing with ok interiors makes this place worth visiting. Service is a bit laggy. Ordered some new stuff and it met our expectations.
Serves good food.They take a bit time to serve you like we had to wait around 20 -25min but it paid off fortunately food was tasted good and the price is in affordable range.
