Well this is a dhaba... That's exactly what you'll get what you just understood or thought... But with a little better place to sit and light and hood service... They also have a mithai shop too.
Food here is just good enough according to the prices... but the hygiene is not their priority... i saw some critters here and there and near flour room... So yeah go at your own risk.
Else they do provide good range of payment option if that matters to you... paytm, upi and card transaction.
It is a nice place to order food from. A must try place for all. Loved the food over here. The packaging was nice as well average food
The place is very simple and clean and the food is just awesome. I tried butter tandoori roti with palak paneer. It's the best north indian I have eaten in a long time, outside my home. Great food at pocket friendly prices.
Good restaurant for lunch. I visited twice. Got good taste both the times. Perfect place for north Indian food. Good quantity served per serving.
This restaurant delivered good food for me
The service was great experience thank you zomoto I will repeat this order regularly because the cost is very low after apply promo code
The place is very good to have some delicious paneer butter masala and malai kofta in North Delhi. 😋 Their rice items are also tasty. Prefer laccha paratha & naan over roti here 😎
They serve best food in kamla nagar and that too at a very nominal price. Best option for du students. Kadhi and paneer bhujiya are a must try.
A very neat and clean dhaba with good food worth the amount! If you ever wish to eat at a dhaba so visit. Or if you are broke and want to have stomach filling food.
An amazing place to eat at super cheap costs. It's a dhaba in the city near the students campus area. What more can one want. It has good preparations. The food is not class apart but a good meal can be had for just 100 Rs per person. Which is great in today's day and age for even a dhaba in the city.
I ordered paneer and it was delicious. The chapati was fresh and tasty. The service is very quick and the sweet dish is also amazing. I had Ras Malai and rasgulla and had an amazing experience. Very satisfying place. Must visit
I had dal makhani & tandoori butter roti, the service was surprisingly quick & the taste was also very good,a great VFM place, would definitely recommend it, however the hygeine part can be worked upon.
Amidst all the fancy restaurants in Kamla Nagar and GTB...I found love in Ved Dhaba. Purely because of the super tasty food ...can't ever get over it. Be it paneer or daal...or lassi... I love them all.. plus it is economical ...so it's a good place for students to eat yummy food...
This place is boon for students. Every item in their menu is very good. I have tried almost every item in the menu. The best part is their quick service and at very pocket friendly Prices.
This is great place for students looking for good food, home made rotis and mixed veg. Paneer masala is good and so are the sweets. Reasonably priced.
He should start delivery system or atleast register on swiggy so that we can order from our fav food point in campus , his mix veg is amazing :)
Best place to visit for students
Fantabulous taste of dal makhani, infact best i ever had
Must visit place
Amazing staff
Most importantly gentle owner
A good dhaba, home like taste, the good and light food is served, not much like heavy and creamy. A option if u want homelike food. Soecially dhaba style food.
The food was quite amazing for, at least the items that I have tried.
I had their palak paneer (quite tasty), butter and plain nun (how they usually taste, just softer), malai kofta (okayish), and jeera rice (that was good as well).
Decent place to try out if you want to to go cheap on your pockets.
As close as it gets to ghar ka khana. Plain simple sober eatery. Everything is nice. Have had almost everything on the menu. Lassi and rasmalai are too good :)
This is a go to restaurant for all the students in the area. The food is good and prices are reasonable.
We have had dinners packed from here multiple times that I have lost count and they have never failed our expectations..
I love their mix Vegetable specifically.
However, if you are packing food for home.. tandoori roti is not the best choice. I would suggest opt for laccha Parantha.
The food there is amazing! Especially the paneer burji. I hope they start home delivery soon! It is too far for an everyday visit and you just can't get enough of it.
This place is simply amazing. You can visit here in particular hours. It get closed between 3-5 I guess.
The staff was very cooperative and nice to us. Even we were late ,they served us. If you are a north-indian lover, they will serve you some amazing dishes. They also pack the remaining food if you want.
Any meal at this place would be delightful when your servers welcome you with a smile and the food tastes super-delicious. A must for all. Though the food served is only vegetarian but it is lip-smacking - reminds of home food. A hidden jewel. And on top of that, it is not at all expensive. Love the butter roti, daal and Ras malai here.
Most of the time this place is occupied well this is because it serves good food and service is quick. It’s spacious enough. In the pictures it’s paneer sabzi, ras malai, daal makhni and chapatis and lassi.
If someone wants to have proper meal or some really good sweets, this is the place to visit. Lots of sweets along with samosas and proper meals are offered here. Not a very nice place to go for a party but if you want to have a good meal in less money, this is the place.
Went there in evening when it was almost fully occupied. Service is good and taste is great as well. A good place if all you care about is pocket friendly lunch. Don't expect much on hygiene.
When the Desi NorthIndian inside you is hungry
You go to a proper desi Dabha.
And that's exactly what i did.
When today i was craving for North Indian food.
I went to Ved dabha.
This dabha is nearly 30years old and serves pure north Indian Delicacies.
I ordered a veg thali
And trust me it was completely loaded proper bang for my bucks.
Although i wasn't sure about the cleansiness of the food and kitchen but the taste made me forget all that.
If you're ok with a dabha type sitting you must try Ved
4.5 🌟 from my side.
If you are near Malka Ganj and short of money and hungry as well then this is probably the best place you can stuff yourself. I guess I've tried everything here and I must say everything here is really tasty.
But yes you have to wait for the table sometimes and it opens around 7 o'clock.
Best place around campus for end of the month budget eating.
Ordered a Paneer Butter Masala and a Dal Makhani with Butter Rotis. Quickest service even during the peak lunch hour and everything tasted fresh. Nice rich taste, a bit on the heavier side. Gonna be a go to for dhaba food cravings.
If not been there , while there in north( off course north delhi) one will miss the desi taste! And Good thing is that it doesn't costs much of your bucks! Every college goers in north, ved dhaba is a kind of weekly routine!
This is perfect place to eat north Indian food when you are low on budget. We have eaten here many times. The place serves nice chole masala, rajma masala and paneer korma. People who too conscious about hygiene and infrastructure might have bit of a problem.
According to the prices and portions that they serve, the place is pocket friendly and the taste is also good.
I love dhabas. But only the highway ones, or the hill ones.
This was a welcome change. Though I had heard a lot about this place, I could never find time to visit.
The food is oily, which means it's tasty of course!
Also, it's quite clean. And super reasonable.
This dhaba is a saviour for me.Whenever we are not cooking and want to have a cheap yet filling dinner, we set out for the legendary ved Dhaba.Very cheap, offers great lassi, thick and creamy. The dal makhni is delicious relative to what it is priced as.Paneer bhurji is tasty and filling. If you are a student, running on a tight budget and wants to have a filling, tasty dinner, then this is the place for you
Best bet for all the DU students. Food is economical and service is good too. Waiting time is minimal. Â Kadhi, Mixed veg and Paneer bhurji are a worth a try.
I write the review based on my time in DU north campus from a couple of years ago. This was one of my absolute favorite joints for good, cheap food. Absolutely wonderful stuff. My favorite combo used to be butter roti and paneer bhurji. Excellent food, seriously. You have to give this place a go!
Fantastic food!! Spent 3 years of college life eating at the place. Extremely pocket friendly. Great place for students at north campus. Do try the kadhai paneer and the paneer bhurji. The gulab jamuns are also good.
Again very economic north Indian food. Specially priced for campus students. Naan and paneer vegetables are good. Lassi with dinner or lunch is must.
It has Great and affordable food which is very rare in the city mostly for students . quantity is also good . if you have shy pockets but want nice taste come here
The best place when out of money ...with the awesomest north indian food..specially khadai paneer and dal makhni and yellow dal ... With its lassi
A search for a good dhabha in Delhi took us to Ved Dhabha which turned out to be very near to my place. A friend recommended and this is how three hunger stricken people landed at Ved on chilly December night. Now it looks like any small eatery but the food here is simply delicious. I have been searching for a place that has authentic roadside dhaba taste ( Murthal doesnt qualify anymore!) and my search ended here. We ordered for yellow dal, kadhai paneer and pyaaz naan which was served with fresh onion rings and green chillies. If you are a dhaba fan then you must try Ved dhaba! Only regret is that don't have home delivery
Delicious food at economical rates,
Channa dal in butter is very tasty & Shahi paneer is awesome with lachcha prantha, hygienical restaurant.
4 star rating
The best, authentic, healthy, delicious pure vegetarian food. Ved dhabba has been around for years and still have same food as ever. Best place for students to have budget lunch and dinner.
Went there with my friends and total bill surprised us seeing what we all had eaten. Roti and naan doesn't gives you taste of Maida at all and all other vegetables are very rich.
Ps Have butter roti instead butter naan :P . Do try lassi its very good.
An ideal place for those looking to spend less on their food. Not just tasty but you can also expect hygienic food at a good low cost. Majorly noticed the college students here who would spend enough at clubs and den come down here to save on their meals ;) the plates they served in were like those used during 1970's. They also have a sweet counter where you would find some nice collection at a very good pricing.
Delicious food at the very best prices..
Paneer bhuji is an all time fav..
Jayant Dalmia (PuchkaToPizza)
+3.5
Decent place for a quick and cheap vegetarian meal.
This place is quite popular among the DU students who occupy majority of Kamla Nagar. Given the pace at which things run in this restaurant you can be done from ordering to finishing under 20-25 minutes. I've tried choole masala, dal makhani and a few paneer items and found them to be good in taste. The seating is a bit congested but you'll be done with your meal by the time it starts bothering you. The lassi was quite good and is definitely worth trying. As for pricing, you can feed yourself well at under 150 bucks per head. Hygiene of the place is questionable though.
If you are a student and low of funds, Ved Dhaba is a quite a treat.
This place is the heaven for all vegetarians. A pure vegetarian dhaba offering a variety of paneer preparations which are irresistible. One has to have the kadai paneer and the malai kafta. It is very cheap and the proportions are substantial. Order the simple butter roti as bread so as to enjoy the taste of the side dishes. One can't leave the place without having, at least, half a colossal glass of fantastic lassi with malai.
amazing food at cheap rates. if you are a foodie do go. although the ambience is not at all nyc.
One of the best place to eat near campus.Food is delicious plus after the reconstruction dhaba doesn't look like a dhaba anymore. The best part is its very cheap ,easy on your pocket !! :)
Totally a place which is affordable by college students. whenever I feel like having outside food I will prefer this. Lassi is something which you can give a try here, I find it good.
Good way to go, Ved dhaba has everything to satisfy a college fella
Yes ! I had three years of graduation with a close to home food , Lassi worth it ( Malai marke )
All together helps college students to flock over every time
Costs pretty moderate ,can be monotonous at times but that again depends on your taste ,
I bet you ll love it at the first instance :-)
I love zomato for actually putting this place online! i thought Zomato was for corporates only as the bio said! :P
Anyways!! This place has been our life saver all these three years of graduation! I have been here since first year and yesterday for latest! ;-)
The food quality is lovely, the way it has to be in a dhabha! Wish this place has more seating capacity so that we do not wait for our turn to get in for long outside in this locality! The locality is kind of congested, has loads of traffic and polluted too! Unlike the locality, their kitchen is pretty clean and hygienic (I did go in their kitchen once). Vegetable pulao for the regular chawal lovers is an awesome item on their menu and you have Aloo naan for those who has a huge appetite! Kadhai Panneer, Panneer Bhurji and Shahi Panneer are the regular dishes I order here. I never liked brinjal back home may be for the color but this place made me actually fall in love with it and I am sure you'd fall for it too if you taste their Bengan Bhartha once! And you always have the Lassi as a Cherry on the cake! Don't be amazed by it's price being 30 bucks when everything else on their menu is cheap but order it and you'd know by the quantity they'd give you! I love the malai topping on that lassi! Completely refreshing! I made sure I introduce this place to all my juniors after all every needs a life saver once or the other after a pretty expensive Date on your Valentines! ;-)
Completely worth visiting this place at that price. You may even pack the food and take it home and your guests wouldn't doubt it is from some restaurant! Complete Ghar ka khana! :))
It's an okayish fine dining restaurant, with reasonable prices without service charge.
There will be a high waiting time during evenings especially weekends and holidays.
The food is good for this price point. Portions are decent.
The place happens to be a bit noisy due to the crowd.
The service is fine, during rush time it could feel a little slower.
Have tried their north Indian food and i found it tasty.
Can go with kids, family and friends for a quick bite or a full meal.
Would Recommend.
One of the oldest and finest dining space in Delhi 7 area. Most of the fooditems have a distinguished taste and flavours. Non spicy. Just that the approach of the place is crowded and washrooms are on first floor. Hopefully the lift will start operating soon. One thing that hurts is that although the name is Udupi but South Indian rice plates are served only on weekends.
Udupi is serving you all some 90s ambiance and good food. Rates are well priced and this is a great place for lunch or dinner.
This place is like a hidden gem in Kamla Nagar.
Can give tough competition to any high end restaurant.
I went to shop in Kamla Nagar, found this restaurant, it was fully Air conditioned, so decided to give a go. The seating is good. Service is very fast. Staff is police. And they have a lot of variety. I tried their north indian, south indian both & even their navratri thali, all of them are top notch. Must try food at this place.
An old known place for south indian. Generally you would find waiting due to it's location in crowded market area. However, the wait is worth the delicious dishes. Must try - Dosas, Uttpam, Suji Halwa. It also offers north indian and chinese dishes.
I visited this place at round 2 PM Sunday , there was no rush . Place was hygienic with ample seating space.
We ordered Udupi special dosa , Mysore Masala dosa , Pineapple dahi vada , Chaach and lassi.
Everything was very tasty.
Udupi special dosa has extra paneer grated and the dosa base was covered with green sauce.
Mysore masala was awesome , with authentic taste.
Chutney was perfect , sambhar was rich in texture and constituent ( contrary to the liquid sambhar you get elsewhere).
Pineapple dahi vada is a must try , the vada was spongy and the whole dish has a topping of tutti-fruity.
Chaach and lassi both were good.
Everything costed around ₹710 which was reasonable enough.
Staff was quick and courteous.
The only peculiar thing I found was no napkins were there on the table or with the plate.
Though the good thing is you have a basin area to wash hands.
I visited here to try their navratri special thali. I absolutely loved Kuttu puri with aloo sabji, it was super delicious and sabudana kheer was also so mouth watering. I also tried Malai chilli potatoes, Manchurian dry, malai kofta, Kaju paneer masala and mirchi paratha. I had malai kofta so many times but their kofta was so creamy with proper sweetness, and tasted yummy with mirchi paratha. I didn't like their honey chilli potato as the sweetness was a little too much. Overall, my experience was quite good. Service is fast and staff members are so humble. They are even maintaining all safety precautions. Must visit place with family and friends.
I have been going to this resturant from more than a decade now and it never fails to impress me, this is a perfect place for foodies who are lokking for clean good and authentic south indian food in kamla nagar. The amazing taste & quality of the food has never changed. 100% recommend it
Usually crowded at evenings and weekends. Wait time = 15 mins. Food is cheap but delicious. North Indian food is also surprisingly good for a south indian restaurant.
After lots of shopping finally time lunch Meal so visited Udupi Krishna try out their North Indian and Chinese cuisine. I order Kaju Paneer Masala, Malai Khofta, mirchi Naan, Chilly Potato and Veg Manhurian. Food was Damm yumm specially malai Khofta was unique in taste. Service was good as order came fast.
Must Visit and try their food.
Place for the South Indian lover's they serve best south indian food as well as chinese food and north indian situated in kamla nagar opposite of goel garments prices are reasonable , Services are prompt and staff here are friendly can. Had an amazing experience with udupi restro. Must vist once to taste best ever south indain dishes. Meal for two is ₹300/.
Udupi krishna in kamla nagar is a superb place for dine in and satisfying hunger pangs. They serve south indian, desi Chinese and north indian food items, we tried desi Chinese and their dosas both the items are just amazing.
Their menu which is extensive and gives you multiple choices and gives you the chance to try good food on reasonable price.
The area is located on the main Street of kamla nagar market. This place exists in a 2 floor building. Nicely constructed and smartly used in every area. Spacious place. We ordered malasa dosa and North Indian thali. Masala Dosa was very tasty but in north Indian thali the daal makhni famous was very sour which I didn't like that much. All over south indian was tasty but somewhere north Indian thali disappointed us.
The quantity was nice. The staff was also very polite and humble. Whenever we go to the kamla market we always visit Udupi.
Near Delhi university (north campus), in Kamla Nagar, authenticity of Delicious south india food... Udupi Krishna 🥳, it was really a nice experience in North of South indian authentic food....
It is located in Kamla nagar. Sittings are available on two floors.
Food was very delicious. Service was good. They serve pure veg food.
They are famous for dosa but North Indian & Chinese food was also very yummy.
It is situated in crowed place so parking is not available there but you can park your car in Spark mall.
Last month I visited udipi with my family . They have good sense sauth Indians flavour dishes. I ordered dosa and fruits salad with ice cream which was outstanding.
