4 of us went to Sahil today. Had appam, theeyal, kappa biriyani, idi irachi, ghee rice and chicken puttu. Ended with sulemani. We were served a small cup of an Arabian dish made of mutton liver and a milk based flavoured drink, on the house. Everything was top notch, except the appam, which had a leathery texture. Chef Haseeb did not charge us for the appams, even though we did not complain to him about it. He also apologized for the same, many times. Extremely decent of him and goes to show his passion for serving good food to his customers. Kudos. When I appreciated the theeyal, he generously packed a bowl for me, again on the house. Highly recommended, not only for the great food but also for the passion for his craft which Chef Haseeb has brought to the business of providing good, wholesome food. Absolute value for money. The ambience is makeshift but don't let it deter you - the food more than makes up for it. If going by car, park it at the Munirka MLCP and walk up the half a km.
Best Kerala food I have had in Delhi so far. I'm so happy I found this place. Had amazing Malabar chicken dum biryani and buff fry! Wish the place would do deliveries too.
Authentic kerala and chettinad cuisines, which is usually not too chilli, aromatic spicy type. Not like Andhra or Hyderabad cuisines. Netholi fish was fresh, and taste was perfect. Many varieties of puttu. Try once, you'll keep going there. Highly recommended.
Chef Haseeb was an ex Chef in one of the biggest hotel chains in India. I am no one to judge his food . He always makes the most exquisite and exotic of Malabari dishes. Recently shifted from the old place and I was really lucky to be part of Day 1 in new place. The best thing is his unlimited buffets. Trust me no where in Delhi you will get these many dishes unlimited for such an affordable price. Food not to miss

This place is a godsend for JNUiites! The fact that it is Kerala food served by a Mallu chef with spices and fish shipped from Kerala only adds to its authenticity. Chef Haseeb is always a delight to meet. He always remembers his regulars and always insists on sampling his new recipes. I love how he gives you a very detailed description of dishes if they appear unfamiliar.It is a 'hole in the wall' place in Munirka so obviously not your fancy restaurant setting, but perfect for a flavourful culinary experience with friends.'Idi Erachi' and 'kappa biryani' are my personal favorites here,but really recommend every dish on his menu as they are all made with great attention to detail, served with love, and yes, a lot of condiments! :)

The owner is really passionate about his food and is making an earnest effort to let the ppl of Delhi discover the delicacies of the south. The cuisine is kerela/Malabar. They have a great variety of meat, food we can't even dream about getting in Delhi, like mussels, squid, lobster and so on. What he offers Is really authentic kerela food. The biryani is amazing. And they make it with different types of meat including duck, which is my favourite. They also have amazing kakkathill preparations. Though his restaurant is small and still coming up in infrastructure, but he does deliver if u order on the phone.

Everything in their menu is worth ordering! You will get one of the finest tasting non-vegetarian food here. And all these at very reasonable prices. Sea food quality and taste is excellent. Sahil also has some exotic sea food options which are usually not available in Delhi, and definitely not at such reasonable prices.
While ordering, chef Haseeb packs food with care and you can expect good quantities. Moreover, chef Haseeb is very humble and customer-friendly.

Delicious Malayali food. Puttu biryani is amazing! Malabari biryani also good. They have clams, mussels, fish, mutton, squid, you name it! And all in various perpetration styles of the Kerala cusine. Being a fan of Kerala cuisine I was guided to this place through Zomato. The place has amazing variety in the menu with authentic tastes. Chef sources most of the spices and ingredients from Kerala itself so what you get is burst of flavours and aroma. We tried chicken malabar biryani which is their signature dish. It was very light and non spicy and with beautiful flavours. It was different from any other biryani I have had so far.The Malabar sharbat was also interesting and is supposed to be a cooler for hot weather. Tried appams and mutton boti as well. Recommend this place for delectable kerala cuisine at very reasonable prices. Only glitch is the ambience as the place is undergoing renovation so hope to have a better dine in experience next time. They also deliver nearby but that would deprive people of chat with chef who is most pleasant and very hospitable host. Thumbs up to him and wishing him all the best. He was quite patient though we did not let him eat for the selfie with him😊
Had the buff kutti and the prawn malabar. This is amazing food with unexpected (yes low) pricing despite being a “Delhi place”. The menu is larger and more diverse than one would expect from a place tucked deep in Munirka.
If you chance to meet Pheroze Vincent there, he’ll ask you to have the duck (which Sahil shared gave us a brief taste of), but the menu has much much more to offer. Hope to see some dessert options soon.

This restaurant Sahil is located in a basement close to Anupam in Munirka and is a hidden gem The restuarant besides the regular chicken, mutton, fish, etc offers a wide range of exotic meats like duck, squid, quail, crab, etc as well at affordable rates. I had been here twice in last month and tried out Squid biryani and Quail fry and both dishes tasted awesome. Also this place has buffets sometime and I would love to try out the buffet when it happens next. Another item besides the food items to try out is Nannari sharbat. Both Soda & Milk variants were good The chef Haseeb Ahmed is a nice guy and makes people feel at home in the restaurant. Overall I would give a rating of 5, hoping the seating has improved after the renovation and I will visit again soon
Visit for great inexpensive Kerala Cuisine, one of the best value for money Kerala place in Delhi. We had ordered Biryani and Kerala Roast. Biryani was served with Raita, chutney, pickle and papad. Loved the Biryani and the gravy of Kerala Roast. I plan to visit this place soon to try out more of their stuff. Won't comment on ambience as the place is undergoing renovation. Special mention for the chef's hospitality.

Small place, but delivers the heavenly and scrumptious Malabar cuisines. Whenever I crave for good biryani (Duck, Mutton and Buff are beyond imagination) or Fish or any other dishes; this place comes as one of the gruntled patrons in my list.
Our current favourite, Sahil offers surely the best Malabari food (within our budget) in town! I have already been to this place thrice in two weeks and have brought along friends who too have equally enjoyed the food as well as the ambiance. So far we have had the chicken, mutton, duck, crab biriyanis and chicken roast. The rice is so well flavoured. The other plus point of this place is definitely their extremely cordial service by the staff and the warmth of chef Haseeb Ahamed.

Must try the Malabar Dum Biriyani. We were a little skeptical in the beginning if we will like the taste or not (hoping it would be too spicy for our bengali taste buds) but it was amazingly light and tasty. The owner and the chef was so warm and well behaved (he even gave us a discount) added brownie points to the dining experience.
Plus it was very pocket friendly for students (like us).

i have not been there but have got one of the most amazing biryani home delivered a few times. my friends loved the buff and prawn biryani. for me the vegetarian biryani was a discovery. coming from manipur where use of spices is very limited, i always found most biryani very spicy. but Sahil's biryani has the right spice and that aroma which i cannot forget. and the sardines kuttanadan is another favourite.
If you want to taste authentic Malabar cuisine, you're in the right spot. Chef Haseeb makes you feel like you're at home with his wonderful hospitality and service. He is dedicated in making his dish perfect and the customer happy. The instant aroma of curry leaves being saute when stepping to the restaurant makes your lipsmack.

Located in a nondescript basement of the urban sprawl of Munirka, here is a restaurant where, once you reach, you are sure to leave with your heart content, and your tummy full. At a reasonable price, you may over here savour the finest Kerala cuisine and a very friendly chef who despite being busy, is always ready to consult you with a smile. I have visited and ordered from here multiple times, and every time it has only whetted my appetite for more. Sahil’s is the perfect stop shop for one of the best biryanis in Delhi. Amazingly catering to your taste buds is their idi erachi and suleimani which never fails to impress you. Since the place is very close to jnu and offers reasonable price, it has become one of my regular places. A complete delight to your taste buds, this place would never disappoint anyone looking for a good Kerala meal (biryani and idierachi being my favourite). Amazing mouth watering food ... went there three times. Biryanis, Kappa(tapioca) biryani, prawn theeyal(or gravy) were mouthwatering. Chef/owner Haseeb will always be around to help you with the menu, to ensure the quality of your food and everything.

This place is so so good, that it has become my regular option for meals & snacks whenever am in Delhi. You'll get everything from "kanjim payarum" to Malabar Dum Biriyani and all of them are my favorites. Homely taste, friendly owner and staff and a great value for the price, I highly recommend Sahil.
A place for tasty kerala style food especially Malabar dum Biriyani (Chicken & Mutton). They also serve some authentic kuttanadan dishes. Service was good, the waiters were courteous and the restaurant owner/chef was very polite and friendly. Lack of ambient seating, inadequate ventilation and poor mobile signal reception are somethings you have to compromise on. This won't be an issue with home delivery.

Haseeb was a very gracious host and a fantastic chef as well. We had the biryani and it was one of the best we have had. The meat was tender and juicy and the rice was really flavoursome. The coconut chutney was fresh and the pickle home-made. The sarlas was just right. All in all a very good evening. We look forward to visiting again and having the sea food. If the pictures on the wall-photos of his own preparations rather than stock photos off Google-are anything to go by, we are in for a treat again!

This is a newly opened in Munirka near anupam restuarant. Awesome chicken biryani. Truely unique and different from biryanis one usually gets in delhi. Milk sharbat is also tasty.

I've been a regular visitor since the restaurant opened. Their classic- Malabar Dum Biryani- is as authentic as it can get . It's really yummy. They also serve typical Kerala combo dishes like Kappa (tapioca/ cassava) and meen curry (fish).
The owner cum chief cook has considerable experience in hotels like Taj and that's well reflected in the quality of food. Service is impeccable. They regular do dinner buffets too.
Update: now the menu has been expanded...includes Kappa biriyani (a Kottayam speciality made of Tapioca and meat), edi erachi (non veg), prawns, squid, duck biriyani,kakkathil, manachira sarbhat etc. Tried all of them. All of them were lip smacking.
I've been getting regular updates from the restaurant. One may call/whatsapp the restuarant for getting updates on buffet fests and sorts. Recently, they held a seafood festival and biryani fest which served excellent food for dirt cheap rates.

Been here a number of time. Especially for their parothas. It reminds of Laccha paratha in Kolkata, but this variation is much softer. It perfectly combines with Mutton roast or mutton fry. The filter coffee is also worth trying to end the feast..

The best place to get Kerala food in Delhi. Very affordable, in fact, in the same amount in which we get dishes from Kerala. The price is variable with the menu but not that expensive as compared to many other restaurants of the same kind (and swiggy -of course). Seating arrangements are somewhat okay but when it's crowded, it would be somewhat uncomfortable to have a good dining experience. The restaurant run by Jerin is known for authentic Kerala food, offers a wide variety of chicken, fish, lamb and other delicacies. There are several Kerala hotels around, this one is the best. Their service is quick, accepts UPI payment and also provides juice drinks.

The location of the Kerala hotel is near the Delhi Metro station, platform 2, exit, and on the first floor of the building.The food was very tasty and had enough quality and quantity to make it worth the price. Also, after 10 minutes, we got the dishes.

A very nice and affordable place to eat but not so much friendly for vegetarian........... location is in ina market, delhi. You can also get to see unique boho jewellery and stuffs. Subway is also available to reach the opposite side which is delhi hatt. Metro is also there.
