Surprisingly people go to rate a bengali sweet shop and talk about laddos and phuchkas. Shame indeed. No wonder why this sweetmeat delicacies are faster getting replaced by khowa and barfis and all north indian horror in the name of sweets.
This shop is possibly the best in C R Park or in delhi. for almost ten years have eaten their lord chomchom, nikhuti, sondesh.
They arnt smart to rejig the look of the shop or r=fake rating on zzomato but this is too close to my bengali soul. :)

Small mithai shop located  in Market no 4 near Kali Mandir of C.R.Park. Yes it is away from the bzy market place which has become a hang out place of not only bengalis but may non bengalis. But this shop is serves pure vegetarian items not even onion garlic in their savoury section. Most of the people going to offer puja in mandir buy mithai from this shop. Is neat clean and reasonably priced sweets of pretty good taste.  Malai chop, Lord chomchom, Chitakut, Kacha golla beside regular bengali mithai is really good. Mishti doi in earthern Kulhar are tempting. I did not like the boondi, it was too sugary. Lobongo lotika and dorbesh are good. Goja is ok.  Bengali singara and kochuri are at par with other big shops in the area. Go for their Dal puris. Its really good but the alu sabzi served with it could be better. On the whole is a good option for good quality in competitive price.

This review is not for the sweet shop but the phuchka wala outside Lokenath. I have been having phuchka (Bengali gol gappa) from this outlet for last 6 years. While the mkt 1 phuchka guy is more popular due to his location, this guy at Kali Mandir mkt is all about awesome taste, hygiene, behaviour and reasonable price. A sudden burst of phuchka craving yesterday afternoon got us to the place. For INR 20 we had 6 phuchka plus 1 plain to clear the taste buds. The water is delicious....also served is churmur and papri etc.

My next door bong sweet shop! A small shop that belts out some really yummy items including the quintessential mishti doi in earthen pots!
One wouldn't even notice this place but situated in market 4 just next to the cr park kali temple, this place is frequently by the bong community and those who know about it.
Well, for one, you should taste their loung. A dry sweet layered with a thin coating of sugar syrup and filled with khoya, it's one damn tasty thing they make.
Then, you should try their kacha golla. There are two varieties; one made of sugar, the other from jaggery. You should try the jaggery kacha golla. It is a milk based, round ball shaped sweet, which is essentially tasty and finishes off very fast from the tray.
Then offcourse, you should try their mishti doi or sweet curd. This is surely made well by them. They are served in mitti ka khullars in 250gm, 500gm and 1kg weights and are a perfect thing to carry home or to places you have been invited for a meal.
The other good items are ras malai, rajbhog, rassagullas, mihidana, the samosas and katchoris. This unassuming shop is pretty good actually.
So visitors to CR Park, I will recommend that you visit this small shop in market 4 and try their loung, mishti doi and kacha gollas.
I will easily rate this place a 3.5 for these goodies.
Ekla cholo, Ekla cholo, shobayer jonno mishti niye jao (come along but take sweets for everyone)! Was trying to be poetic but it was a terrible attempt! Well, you should atleast make an attempt to come here and try the three goodies I mentioned! Adios.....

Though there are many Bengali sweet shop in CR Park but lokenath sweets is little special, there are couple of reasons for this. First it is the most closest shop to the kali Mandir in CR Park hence one doesn't have to travel far to buy sweets to offer to Gopal or Maa Kali in the temple, Second the prices are competitive or lower than other sweet shops around, third the variety is good, fourth the Paani Puri or puchka is very tasty and last but not the least the RAJBHOG is worth trying here.

Sweets are above average as per CR Park standard. But what I love most in this place is the fuchka stall. I found it best in CR Park. And the person sell fuchka there is very humble too.
