I ordered a Mutton Biryani and a Chicken 65. The food was delivered hot on time. Not cutlery or tissue paper came with the order. Packaging could have been better, they could packed the food in containers.
Mutton Biryani was toothsome. It had the traditional taste. There were 3-4 medium sized mutton pieces. It was perfectly spiced. Gravy and Raita came with the order.
Chicken 65 was good but was extremely salty.

I have tried each and every type of dosa and peechu paratha which is wonderful as I am vegetarian I am not tried the non veg food but veg food is very good and you must visit place ambience is ok ok but food is very nice.

A very small shop in Karol Bagh which offers you the authenticity of Tamil Nadu taste. I had Chicken Biryani and Chicken 65 there. The taste is awesome and rates are quite low. The only problem is the seating space as they don't have much area for sitting.
Rates are quite nominal and it's worth a visit.

I have tried chicken and mutton biriyani here. I have to say mutton biriyani is beats chicken biriyani hands down. If u want to eat tasty mutton biriyani u should go for it. Must try.
Best south indian food resturant.Wonderfull briyani and chicken dosa.
But the people are sometimes rude during the crowd.week at crowd management.
It is very easy to miss this shop, although located on the main road, it is surrounded by car repair shops so keep a close eye for it.
There is only one table on the ground floor so i decided to sit on the 1st floor, on the upper level, there are around 5 tables to sit but the seating is very very congested, luckily for me, i was the only one there at that time. Service was very quick.
I ordered a chicken biryani and that is when the magic started. The biryani was truly amazing with authentic flavour, the portion size was huge, there was a small bowl of gravy with it and a boiled egg and salad to go with it. The taste of biryani was superb, wether you have it with the gravy or without it. It reminded me of all the amazing biryani i had when i went to madurai.
I will come here again to try other things too and i highly recommend this place.

A rare non veg south Indian chettinad mess in delhi. Ambiance doesn't exist, may feel repulsive. Ordered a chicken biriyani and chicken 65. The biriyani was perfect with the chettinad touch. The 65 was good too. The rating is purely for the taste.

Visit after 12:30 in the afternoon as they prepare biryani around this time only.
In the evening after 4pm you will only get chicken biryani .They might prepare mutton biryani around 7pm in the evening(not sure about it)
They have sitting area upstairs also where you will get privacy.
Authentic South Indian biryani , being specific Ambur biryani . Kothu parotha and chicken 65 is must try and not a five star rating for this place due lack of seating arrangement and hygiene .
Great food, Horrible Ambience. Must visit. Do NOT even try to sit. Stand outside or eat in your car. Kottu Parotta and Chicken 65 is a must-try. Followed by Parotta and Mutton Fry.
Forget the reviews. Go and experience for yourself. Veggies can avoid and stick to the bland fare at Saravana Bhawan.

Tamilian people come from Jaipur, Gurgaon, Noida and other parts of Delhi to eat the traditional tamilian Non-veg food.
I ordered 1 plate Parantha Guruma (contains 2 parantha with guruma), 1 Mutton Biryani, Chicken 65 and a water bottle.
Parantha Guruma is basically parantha churchur type (made of maida) along with Guruma (chicken curry). Parantha Guruma was very tasty, i love to eat Parantha with hot Guruma, Coconut chutney and Tomato chutney. Mutton Biryani is a bit different from north Indian biryani, it contains small size rice (not like Basmati rice of north India) wrapped in Mutton gravy along with small mutton pieces and a boiled egg. Initially if tastes different as i am a north Indian but later you feel the taste of it and enjoy eating it. Good Mutton pieces in biryani.
Chicken65 is something like tandoori chicken but it contains small boneless pieces of chicken along with small onion pieces and white chutney.
In last at cash counter i got sweet Sauf which i love to eat as i used to eat it during my childhood days.
Their awesome biriyani and kothu parotta omg i totally didn't miss chennai when i ws eating here.. They hv all south indian varieties and they are served hot and spocy.. There is this one thing i find it very cramped and there s literally no place to sit and eat.

I tried a spoon full of biryani and was overwhelmed; a typical Ambur-style biryani. Authentic flavors just bombarded within and i was bowled over. I have fallen in love with this place's food and recommend food fanatics to try out. Do not try if you are one of the snobbish kinds frowning at street side joints. Bon Apetite'!
The place is too crowded and congested. Apart from this if you want to taste the chettinadu style biryani this is the perfect place, the chicken and mutton biryani costs ₹140 and ₹150 respectively and serves the value for money.

This review is exclusively for the biriyani of Amma mess. The biriyani I should say is even better than some of the restaurants that serve biriyani back in the south. I had the mutton biriyani which is full of flavour... the meat so soft and the rice cooked to perfection. It's served with a chicken gravy (Salan) which is absolutely delicious!
We also tried the chicken 65 and mutton chukka.
Chicken 65 - tasted great but the quantity is just too small for the price.
Mutton chukka - a few pieces of the meat were stale and dint taste that good and not to mention the quantity is pathetic.
But all these downfalls are compensated by the fabulous biriyani that this place serves. A must try if u want to have some good South Indian biriyani!

This is where the restaurant suffers.Though managed ingeniously,the place is little old and run down and the service is okay.
The seating space is very small so I decided to take away. Tried chicken biryani which was good. It was the dum version. Comes for Rs.120 with raita, salan. It seems they cook plain biryani and add chicken, mutton separately as and when an order comes. The chicken pieces were fine but I guess they were cooked for some gravy dish so had a different flavor. Overall a decent place at a reasonable price.

Some Tamil delicacies in the busy populated business driven locality of our capital in North India ! . Yes there may be many and this is not far behind. One of my Tamil friend brought me here and oh I really loved this food.
Ambience: Its a small probably one storied restaurant but they have meticulously managed to make a 2 storied space within that. One needs to slightly duck and climb those stairs to their first floor where about 5 tables are in place. Place is a lil crampy but yeah remember I was here for food ... I mean i was promised real good food.
Staff: Really such small restaurants have really efficient staff. The way they manage the orders ... amazes me !
Food: You order anything from the menu at any point of your meal... they serve it for you... in minutes. We started off with usual biryani.. then addons like chicken fry... and then omlets and on and on... till our tummy could not take it ! .. The taste makes sure you never forget this place... for years together.
Price: After all that thing bill was relatively low.....compared to one person's food cost in Bangalore these days ! Prices are competitive.
Next time in Delhi... I would definitely try re-visit this place. Recommended !

This is a pure diamond restaurant, you just need to give it a try. Chicken biriyani cooked in andhra style was so yummy that I ended up coming back again for it many times. Its very pocket friendly. I would recommend chicken kutu porrota too(sorry for typo, I prefer saying paratha but its not 'paratha'.
Must visit if you love biriyani and fried flesh.
The first time I entered this place, I thought where have I been brought to? The small 4 tables in a tiny space. But the moment I took the first bite of the kuttu parotha, my brain went blank. I regained my senses after finishing 3 parothas, 1 biryani and 5 fish fry. The taste is just heavenly. Great experience. Service could have been better but the taste covers it up.
Ignore the ones cribbing about ambience and hygiene. Yes it is congested but the taste compensates it by far. This is an authentic Tamil non veg restaurant. Kothu porotta, kalakki, mutton biriyani not to be missed.

Had a good food for breakfast and dinner , people from South who tend to miss their home can afford this hotel .... Really Pongal in the morning was one the nice dish and afternoon lunch is really awesome with sambar.... People who come to Delhi from tamilnadu give a try to it....

I'm just returning home from the eatery. Still the taste of the salna is in my mouth. Been there with a friend. Had a chicken biriyani, parotta, fish fry and kalakki. Our mouths started to water on the sight of biriyani. It had an excellent south indian flavor to it. Parotta was good. Fish fry.. ah! Can't explain it in words. Kalakki was like an equivalent to a choco lava cake. One problem is that the space is tiny. Also, cleanliness should be taken care of. Rates are reasonable. If you're concerned about hygiene, you could order a take away and savour the food at your home.
Had been der thrice .. It's a paradise for biryani lovers ... My humble request to open a branch in gurgaon .. Plzzzzz...it ll be a big boon to South Indians of gurgaon....
Biriyani is most better than north Indian biriyani as it is cheap and tasty. And the hot and spicy 'kothu porotta's ' aromatic smell can run a ship inside your mouth. Cheap in rate.except less space for accommodation it is best.

The place is small shop, has a small seating area. It is a place from where you should pick up food and eat at home. Food is something which does not disappoint at all here. I have tried their chciken biryani, chicken chettinad and chciken curry and have found them to be quite deliciously appetising and VFM. Their full plate biryani is served with a curry, raita, and onions and is enough for two people.

Authentic tamil non-vegetarian food. Not very high on hygiene though, but the food makes up for it. Must haves are chicken n mutton biryani, chicken 65 and kothu parotta. Very small place...can hardly accommodate 10 people..Ambience being the downside, food is good. Mutton biryani is very tasty and is better than chicken biryani which is also good. Quantity of biryani is very less...2 of them can be had with ease.
Even though the place is quite small and dingy the food more than compensates for that. It is absolutely traditional Tamil Non-vegetarian foods.... but if you don't have a flare for tamilian food then avoid it. especially the biryani (mutton) is a must try. Lip smacking and light.

I got a chance to taste the food here today.(21st Jan 2019) Egg koththu and Chicken Koththu. Those were really good food compared to the other indian food. As koththu is a famous food in Sri Lanka, I recommend any Srilankan to go there and taste the food. The place is small but enough for having food for 15 people at a time. Service is quite good. But koththu is available after 6pm.

Chicken65 is a boneless roasted chiccken pieces wrapped with onion pieces and masala. It was awesome in taste. Parantha Guruma was as usual tasty consisting of chicken gravy and Parantha. Chicen Biryani was a bit spicy with small sized rice served with raita, 1 boiled egg and guruma.
A must try food joint, take away is advisable. But the food is awesome, a wide variety of Dosas (delicious and mouth watering.
