A very good restaurant to try for chinese food. The food we tried was tasty, delicious and in good quantity too. The prices are good as compared to other restaurants
Grub Pub has been a good to go spot for me when one of my friends lived in Hauz Khas Market. We never had to go there to order anything, it has always been just one call away. They have very good Chinese cuisine. I love their Paneer Fried Rice, Garlic Chilli Potato and Honey Chilli potato is love. I've started missing Grub Pub now. I'll visit there soon.
this small restaurant in the hauz khas market hardly noticeable if you are new but serve the authentic Chinese cuisine and my saviour for the day as i have been ordering food from last 3 years from them ❤️
Affordable and tasty Chinese food. Been coming for around a decade now. And there's nothing to complain, whatever we've ordered has been of a decent standard
I've ordered from this restaurant quite a few times. I really appreciate the quantity they offer. I would recommend you trying honey chilli potatoes and chilli chicken. The chicken soup could be a little better. But, I would say that this restaurant really is something you should definitely try. Cheers!
I stay very close by and every time I have to order authentic Chinese I have one stop place! Mind it it is very old joint and is very popular among older generation. I have had almost everything in there menu! The place is reasonably priced with a small siting for 12 ppl only!
Very nice place....our childhood favourite hangout specially when it was a friend's birthday...good food good times...happy they are still continuing the legacy ....
An old joint which is a regular haunt for families n bachelor's alike. Simple no fuss Chinese . awesome soups n momos.. pan fry noodles with chicken being my favourite. Old colleagues who have shifted out of Delhi still remember our weekly dinners to this place. Nostalgic moments
The quantity has reduced significantly and there weren't enough red and green sauce to go with it,only one small packet. Still lovely food as always.
Since the 80s, when I moved to Hauz Khas, the Grub Pub has been a place where I could eat comfort food favorites by myself or bring friends for a lively evening and delicious fare. Almost 4 decades later this hospitable eatery still has higher standards than its better advertised restaurants. The helpings are large, like the large hearted owner and the Chinese cuisine is mapped neatly to the Delhi palate. It has carved out a special corner for itself in the quiet part of the bustling market square as well as in my list of favorite Sunday treats.
The portions to the food are good enough & the prices are decent as well.
My usual orders are as follows
1) Chicken fried rice
2) Chicken Noodles
Chicken lollipop and chilly garlic fried rice are amazing and the spicy sauce they serve is just mouthwatering best chakna with drink love It
Good and tidy place
Place is little small
But chinese is really good here
Even quantity of food is also really good
Good place if you live in south delhi
Its comforting to have a Chinese restaurant near your home. Any lazy day, its my go to place. Mixed Chowmein Schezwan is my fav! My friend has to always order their chicken lollipops whenever she drops by my place. I have tried many more dishes and it has never disappointed me. Quick delivery and value for money.
Amazing food and affordable! Definitely worth the try though the ambience is nothing great but food > ambience as long as it is bearable. Do try their momos, it's good. And the gravy fried rice. They present it pretty well too.
This is the place where you go when you have a thing for the Chinese, Thai, noodles or dimsums. The place has a live chef section outside sometimes in addition to their big kitchen at the back. They usual have something special comes everyday. What we loved about the place was the mixed non-veg noodles which is served rather quickly. The seating and the ambience is not that bad and not get either because this is the kinda restaurant that you go to for having a tasty food. There seemed to done renovation happening upstairs but otherwise the restaurant gives you a good place to sit with an aquarium by the side. The waiters are good people who would get you what you need just in time though they would be mostly unavailable at times. This one is a south East Asian treat for your taste buds.
I really don't know what to write except that it's next to my place and the food is good sometimes and sometimes it's pathetic . Ambience is still a bit under lit and dingy compared to location they have, they can brighten up the place and maintain some consistency in the food that would do wonders.
We were in this locality and looking for a good place to lunch when someone recommended us this place.
So we go to this place and I suddenly feel like I'm in Pune. This place has a very chill vibe to it.
Coming to the food. Now everyone knows that there are two types of Chinese food out there.
1) Desi Chinese:- Something that you can have anywhere anytime.
2) Authentic Chinese:- You need to plan this out and go with a proper mindset.
But, this place is the perfect mix of both. It has vibes of the Desi Chinese but feels of the Authentic.
Must go. Try out Dry Chilli Chicken and Fried Chicken Wontons for sure.

Will surely visit again..and will recommend to others..the best think which I like about this place was their starters.
Loved the food here. Try the honey chili potatoes and the chili paneer. The food is filed with taste and flavor. Great food at a great price.
Loved the food served here. Mostly like home made Chinese but filled with taste.
We ordered spring rolls, chilly Garlic Noodles and Chilly Paneer.
Everything was super tasty and we loved how it was prepared.
It was such a filling meal for me and my two friends and with soft drinks our bill was of just 740.
Super smart on our pockets.
this is very good option for outing with friends and spend quality time with them . location is awesome and wonderfully organised interior, staff is also nice.
Grub Pub is a good options for everyone looking for chinese craving fixture in the area. I have been there only once and can vouch for the food quality here. The honey chicken and chilly mushroom were just delicious, the pricing is very affordable as well. Go there, you won't be disappointed.
It's a cosy place in Hauz Khas market with a beautiful ambience. Loved most of the items I tried. The management was good and food was served or packed as required.
Authentic chinese food which is not heavy on pocket.
Chilli garlic noodles , veg manchurian, chilli paneer are just mouth watering. They also serve barbeque in the evening
This is walking distance from my place & I just love its chinese food. My favourites are veg chowmein and lemon chicken which is full of healthy vegies👍🏻 *MustTry
Ordered food their restaurant manchurian prawn and lemon chicken .
Really guys
Manchurian got a great flavour and mouth watering food..manchurian has gotten top Saling dish their restaurant.
Really I enjoyed their food.
I love their food.
I would like to thanks all restaurant team..
Good going guys.
An excellent place to eat - Chicken Lemon Coriander Soup and Chicken Hot and Sour are great choices amongst soups. The starters are good - both veg and non-veg and the main-courses are amazing - Rice and Noodles - every single kind leaves you feeling happily satiated! The chicken chopsuey is mouth-watering and a personal favourite! Must have tried around 15-16 dishes over 10 trips to the place and each time they were worth it! The sitting is very cramped though, but at the cost and taste, it is well worth the effort to visit!
Great food. They are perfectionist in serving good food. Must try mixed chowmin, chilly prawn there lots of options Chinese Both veg and non veg items good.
Just a few days back someone told me about their Chinese food and i decided to order from them after that. I ate Chilly Chicken along with their Veg. Fried Rice.
The food was spicy and pocket friendly as well.
A treat for those who love Chinese.
A Chinese hub.... a very quiet place with good food... The place has seafood too... The quantity of the servings is sufficient... The prices are also affordable...
Have ordered from here 50 times and loved it each time. Very satisfying and at pocket friendly price. They deliver at the right time and good menu. They should come up with new dishes though..the chefs are talented !
Grub Pub is a decent casual hangout serving some good chinese and indian cuisine. I have been visiting this place since long since Hauz Khas does not have many restaurants to dine. They also deliver and serve in the car. Clean place and courteous staff. I strongly recommend this place.
A must place to be visited, ambience is very normal and the service is also very casual but the main attraction of it is the food, some of the must try dishes are singapore honry chilli potatoes, veg manchurian, honey chicken with chilli garlic hakka noodles. They all were very delicious, will visit soon.
Grub pub is very good place to try for Chinese lovers.
The place offers a wide range of Chinese along with sea food. Each platter has a good quantity and can be shared by 2 or more people. The taste is amazing. The prices are also affordable.

Most commonly known for its multifarious Chinese items, Grub Pub is a good food joint tucked away in the Main Market of Hauz Khas. For the people who do not prefer to spend huge amount of money on eatables, Grub Pub can be a decent option as far as the Chinese food items are concerned. With its el cheapo rates and good looking interiors, it managed to satiate my needs of a fine Chinese meal.
Went here a few days ago with a bunch of friends and had the following-
Lemon Coriander Soup- Served hot and fresh, tasted good.
American Choupsey- Had a spicy flavor and was served in sufficient portions.
Chilly Chicken- Extremely spicy and makes for a good non vegetarian starter.
Chilly Potato- Crispy in texture and fine in taste.
Veg. Fried Rice- A bit unflavored yet likeable in taste.
In the end, Grub Pub was a satisfactory experience and I would suggest you to try it out if you are somewhere near the Hauz Khas area and crave for some spicy Chinese food.
FINAL VERDICT-
DECORS- 3.5/5
FOOD- 3.5/5
SERVICE- 3/5
VALUE FOR MONEY- 3.5/5
OVERALL- 3.5/5
One of THE DESTINATIONS for all of us born and bred in this locality during our early teens. We have numerous episodes, experiences and instances which make this a symbol of nostalgia and memories.
The food remains just as it was at the time, friendly, neighborhood, local flavoured Chinese. They deliver in a jiffy, serve generous portions of good old American Chopsuey, Chicken Hakka Noodles and Chilly Chicken Dry (emphasize the last word when verbalizing) & Sweet Corn Chicken Soup... One portion of each except 3 soups and your bill would be about INR 1500/- odd, food good for 3 adults.
It's an average place with amazing food and decent price, the staff is a bit rude and not available for service at times. Being a foodie I tend to go just for food!!

I have been having food from this place for many many years, but never realized the need to rate it.However i thought that it was high time that i rated this place and make others also aware of this economical and super tasty food joint.
Located in Hauz khas market, this place has been there for many many years and the only reason that they have survived even after so many years is because they know that taste is the only key to any food joints success.
Their chinese is just amazing my favorite include Hakka noodles, soups, chili garlic chowmein ,Manchurian ,fried rice ..........and an all time favorite Chicken fried momos..........
Rates- Economical
Ambience/Decor-Just fine
Food-Amazing(Must Try)
Simply amazing food. Hot and sour soup, lemon coriander soup, wantons, honey chilli potatoes. Sadly could only try vegetarian food being Tuesday. Went after years and years. Nice staff. Portions are just right. Am definitely going back again, this time soon. Taking my family along this time, for sure.
Stopped by for a quick bite and the Momos and Chicken corn soup were amazing. Super quick service and delicious food make this place a restaurant I'd return to.
A very nice place, excellent service. The food is very good, the hunny chiken is to die for! We ordered sweet corn soup and veg rice which was good as well. And the best part- very very good price. A meal for tow (very) hungry people - 2 soup, 1 dimsum, 1 rice, 2 chicken and drinks - 1,500. See you next time we are in the area.
THIS PLACE IS LIKE A HIDDEN GEM.! Walked into it one random evening and ordered without much to expect. And this place did not disappoint us. Started directly with a veg hot and sour soup followed by veg Hakka noodles and veggies in garlic sauce. Being a fan of garlic and spicy Chinese food, Grub Pub offered me one of the best experiences in have had with this cuisine. And not to forget about how pocket friendly it was! Cheers guys. See u soon again .
A decent place for having Chinese. Have ordered many a times from there and tried almost all the chicken items. Can try dry chilly chicken for getting peppery and spicy taste. Chicken noodles is equally good to have. And yes, the one that comes with 1 whole chicken can fill atleast 4 people with utmost satisfaction. Though as compared to earlier, there has been a hike in its price, and rather than getting upgraded, the food quality has degraded a bit. Still it's way better to visit there than a Chinese fast food stall if u want to have a balanced good quality food, moderately priced with hygiene well maintained.
Best place to not lighten your pocket !.. good food and a very simple peaceful environment..i have never regretted coming here..food is always good and cheap ..must visit for a nice meal..
My love for Grub Pub goes back to 2012. A couple of days back, someone ordered Egg chowmein for me & all the good memories demanded I come back to leave my warm regards for such a fine place which makes a hater of Chinese food unnervingly miss theirs!
Not all that exciting an exterior but once you get in, the peaceful atmosphere is what strikes you the most. This restaurant is primarily a take away but there are a few tables laid out. The service isn't that great. The food though is impressive. Few dishes worth mentioning are the Chicken Manchow Soup with crisppy noodles, Chicken fried rice and chilly chicken with gravy.
This place is very attached to me. Been frequent since college days, when a friend in ntroduced me to this place. Again I feel it's calm and nice and u actually go there to enjoy a good talk with your friends and to hogg on food. Ur stomach should be ready to be filled with indie chineese food.
I like the manchow soup a lot.
Honey chilli potato a definite must try.
Chilli mushroom
Dry Manchurian are favourites.
Hakka noodle and friedrice a must add.
And the place is unbelivably cheap, just fits fr your pocket with a delightful tummy full meal.
Love the Manchow soup !!!! My all the time favourite😍😍😍😍 . The rates r fine doesn't burn ur pocket . The only problem is that they r Preety slow in delivering the food !!!
For great chinese food. Been there many times and the more i want to go. Very calm n soothing ambience. Service is excellent n price is reasonable. Must try
Since its inception, my regular place to have good Chinese food. It's some one really and rightly termed as chin-jabi joint. Decent place for a family dine in with fast service. Should try honey chilly potatoes, fish in garlic sauce and has ka noodles.
Well grub pub has been around for ages now and it's probably as old as the market itself! The previous owner passed away a few years back and the place was closed for a while! However, they have opened shop again and have renovated the place too! This may not be your fine dining Chinese restaurant but this ancient little place has one trick up its sleeve that has been consistently good since the last decade and that's their honey chicken with chilly garlic Hakka noodles! Trust me when I say this order it and you won't regret it!
Food is good and rates are cheap.Good place to visit in the evening for snacks.Need improvement in service and ambience.Still not bad considering the prices.
Good food cheap price and good quantity. Service is nothing great. But if you like to have Indian Chinese this is the place to order from. Must try
A great place but a small restaurant indeed. Located at a corner in the main market of Hauz Khaz. It offers you a wide variety of lip smacking Chinese.. some of the must try dishes are veg noodles, veg Manchurian, american choupsy, chicken momos...Singapore honey chilli potatoes. Also if you are a fan of yummy soupy thuppas in that case you can grab a bowl full of decent thuppa. both veg and non veg are satisfying... the ambiance is very basis..and the service is also very casual...but surely the food compensates it ....would recommend
Small restaurant with amazing food at hauz khas. It seems they just have 1 waiter to serve the tables and he is doing all the running around. To ask for the check we literally had to knock the kitchen door :-)
Order veg noodles and chilli chicken gravy and be ready for a nice treat..quantity wise they give plenty for two people. Easy on pocket and highly recommend
Great food..if its food that matters the most to you in a restuaraunt..and you can well, pass the ambience and oder crap..dis is d place for you!!
Food is good, better to get it packed from here rather than dining. Some dishes are different in taste from other Chineese joints. Near to college it helps to have a quick bite here.
One if the best restaurant earlier they had a no of options bur they are still working on it I.e. Because the original owner of the restaurant is no more now his brother took over and he got the original team of chefs back there are still gathering rest of them
......There is only one word to say awesome
What you see is what you get..this place is indeed true to its name! There's plenty of grub to slurp :D
Having ventured here during a half hour lunch break from classes nearby, we ended up staying a little longer than that as we ooohed and aahed over our generous serving of lamb in hot garlic sauce and veg fried rice. The S.O. is on a lamb ordering spree everywhere, and I'm not complaining! this is a small restaurant with a big kitchen, and seems to have a steady flow of deliveries to their loyal customers. the ambience isn't much, but its functional and cool, which is a good break from the fancy places when u mean business( food asap and lots of it, I say!) . I loved the bill too, the menu prices are all inclusive of taxes so there are no surprises and stressing and calculating the final bill. it also makes it easier to eat here more often. the service is impeccable, the chef is polite and helpful, and everything I've tried here so far has been sumptuous.
quantity :5/5 a gravy and rice order was enough for 3, and we often get leftovers packed for later.
Quality :4.5/5 the Lamb was crispy outside and tender and juicy inside. the chicken chopsuey, crispy potatoes too were made well
variety : there's plenty of Chinese stuff to try from, and they even serve oriental burgers and pizzas. the pizza is rectangular and cut into several pieces, and can easily feed 4... a little low on the cheese though.
Well, the five star rating is because of the following reasons-
1.i have been eating from here for over 10 years ( it was shut for sometime, as the owner had passed away).so i have my childhood memories of having their chicken momos , and I remember I used to eat them so slowly, taking almost an hour.
2. My boyfriend has fallen in love with this cute shacky place. Whatever is the occasion, or no occasion, he only likes to go here.
3. The chinese food is pretty good. Momos are way better than the microscopic momos of bercos. The gravies are fine, and meat options are plenty. And yes, it is reasonably priced.
My most frequent order-chicken manchow, chicken momos and chicken hakka(i ask the waiter to get me soy sauce, and then it is fun to work my way up with little bits of the accompaniments) .
The only con-
It is a tiny no-ambience kinda place, and the voice echoes, so everyone can hear the conversations on all the tables. But it is not noisy.
And a word of caution-it is shut on sunday afternoons. Had specially gone their and got to know this. Bummer!
Do visit. :)
If you live in Hauz Khas and have those sudden late night cravings for Chinese food, this is the place to order from. Believe me, I've been ordering from here since 1989 - I'm not kidding! It's not pretending to be gourmet but their food is flavorful and satiating and really cheap. You'll find all the 'Indian-Chinese' staples like Manchurian and Chopsuey if that's your style. Otherwise their authentic momos and thukpa (yes, not Chinese) are very good. Best reason to order from here is great value for money especially if you're ordering in larger quantities. The only reason I keep saying 'order home delivery' is that the place itself is a bit of a hole in the wall and not everyone's comfortable with that. But give it a go.
This is one is one of our old place to dine out. We loved the staff as they are super friendly. Food was amazing.
Superb.... I was super hungry n my sisters jiju took because they had their experience of their college days that they serve super tasty food n quantity of food is ekdm perfect. After so many years also this restaurant is consistent in their food taste n quantity... That's the best part of it.. Everything is served so fresh n hot... So if you in Delhi once come to this place place n have their delicious food at reasonable prices..

Located in cosy place, vibrant ambiance, not too Much crowded. Park view side. Food drinks also in good manners.
Good visit hauz khas near by axis bank.
Among the oldest chinese restaurant in Hauz Khas.
This place has Been there since I can remember! Same amazing tasting food. Great quality and absolutely fresh with very affordable prices...... Don't get me started about their portions, 2ppl can share half a portion! Opened in 1982 and still running great, there must be something great about them I guess!!
Great place for Chinese food. Wide variety and affordable prices. Centrally located. Have been vising this place for the past more than 20 yrs. Would surely recommend.
We only eat Chinese food here - Fried rice and veg manchurian. Good quantity and quality at reasonable prices. Good location.
Oily and gooey Indian version of something called Chinese. Takes you back to the Chinese vans of yesteryear. Almost the same food but in cleaner and air conditioned avatar. Its quintessential Chinglish. It's yum.
Great chinese. You may experience delayed service at times and the overall aura is not that appealing. Though the food somewhat compensates for the aura part.
My go to place for great value for money Chinese since 1982...
It's been an all time favourite place to have good decent Chinese food and that too a decent quantity
Great food. They are perfectionist in serving good food. Must try the live barbeque grill. Both veg and nonveg items are equally good.
