I have visited chankya several times. My all time favourite from this place is their mali chaap. Their chaap is all different from other restraunts.
We usually do family get together at this place I love there Shani paneer and dal makhni. Serving portion size are also amazing and service is also good and perfect place for big family outing
One of the oldest junction near my house . the chape taste have never changed . Rumali roti are so nice and fresh . go have a try. the place is lit and yes the food is nice
This place is very old place and they have been serving very good south indian food with good spices and all things in main course menu are good.
A good restaurant with staff people and good food! And they've maintain hygiene as well it food was also good but there's some parking problem they should work on that
Chankya is a great family restaurant. It is located in krishna nagar, lal quarter market. There malai chaap is the best thing i ever had. I also had dal makhni, mix vegetable, noodles, malai kofta. All the dishes were really delicious.
Malai chaap is a must try.
A very famous restraunt in Krishna Nagar market known specially for it's South Indian dishes and chowmien. Their butter masala dosa is worth waiting as they take bit long to serve the food. Taste of sambhar and dosa is fresh and crisp.
Chowmien here is also quite famous.
Singapuri chowmien has mushrooms, onions and green bell peppers and not too spicy by the taste.
Ambience is clean and air-conditioned.
Overall, it's reasonably priced family restraunt.
Definitely worth a try.
I have been to this place from my childhood.
They serve amazing chowmin.
I like their Dal makhani and shahi paneer.
Their naan is soft and crispy.
Staff is also good.
This restaurant serves really amazing North Indian food. I personally like their chaap a lot. They have renovated their place now, and the service is just on a fine scale, Ambience is also good. So yea this place is worth a try for family dinners.
Good place to spend time with family with your food...
The food is of great quality but the service is not that well....
It take a bit of time for food to get ready..
But overall is a nice place to be...
You can find this place as one of the oldest place to have food in krishna nagar. They have changed there interior and also improves the food quality too. They also serve food without onion and garlic if you want. I liked there special chowmein most.
I went there last week with my friends and I ordered Masala Dosa, Hot garlic noodles 🍝and Masal Chaap..for which I must say that food was very tasty 🥘 that too for reasonable prices ☺️👍🏻 Service is quick 🤟🏻Staff is helping!! Sitting is simple but can be improved for comfort. But it’s perfect for short food break between shopping at Lal Quater..Krishna Nagar market!
We ordered butter roti, butter naan, kadhai paneer and chaap masala ...that was good in taste... The ambience is good, cleanliness is maintained and staffs are also well mannered... Had a great time with my friends.
Will recommend this place to every foodie
We visited in the afternoon time and it was crowded at that time also. It was our firstl visit here and we had Chilli potato and Spring rolls.
The waiting time was very short. Chilli potato were very crisp and oil free, a little bit more towards the dry side, thus making them more crunchy and crispy. On the other hand, Spring were served with fried noodles which was good, but the chowmein stuffing filled in the rolls was not so fresh. So the taste was not that good. The bill was of 240 INR.
Me and my family use to visit this restaurant because of it's service and quality of food they provide in a very nice price. This is a very genuine family restaurant where you can go and find very comfortable dine out it is.
Coming to staff. Waiters and management is really nice. They are polite in nature and maintain discipline and listen to your demands in the food and prepare the food as you like it( like my family don't like adrak(ginger) in the food).
Coming to food. We usually order daal makhni, kadhai paneer, malai chaap, and butter naan. Everything tastes really good and everything is fresh prepared right in front of you so there is assurity of fresh meals everytime you visit this restaurant.
Really nice in price also.

Kadhai panner is very tasty pls try it
A really nice place to have food with family. the seating arrangement is good and the environment is also good. The food is very tasty aspecially the South Indian food So I would recommend you to order Masala Dosa whenever you visit at this place.
The Prices are also affordable but there is no parking space for visitors So keep that in mind before visiting at this place.
An old name in Krishna Nagar for family outings and Takeaways. Pure veg and good service plus the taste and quality is being maintained for the past tow decades. Rates are reasonable and one must give it a try once

Food at the place is just average. But the real deal is the service quality as somehow the serving staff is always irritated with you wants you to just empty the table. Recommendation would be to opt for a take away.
Shahi paneer and malai kofta is a must try .excellent service but lacks a little quality .given contact no. Do not work .ambience 2 out of 5

This restaurant must be 25 plus year old... One of the oldest in krishna nagar and I have been eating food since my childhood and taste is still the same.
Must Try - Noodles, dal Makhni, Shahi Paneer
Service - Average
Seating Place - Average
Chankya is one of the oldest restaurants in Krishna Nagar and serves you with a decent variety of dishes.
Food- we ordered,
Paneer Butter Masala- totally delectable, also is not too heavy and the gravy is aptly cooked.
Malai Kofta- nice and soft koftas with perfectly cooked gravy.
Chilli Potato- Mediocre in taste.
Mix Utapam- served with sambhar, again totally delectable.
Dal Makhni- perfectly cooked Dal, loved it.
Ambience and Staff- Staff is kind but the service is little slow. Ambience is not too good some improvisations could be done with seating capacity.
Chankya restaurant is a very famous one in this area and has been running from past so many years. No matter how the ambience or service is the food they serve is delicious and flavorsome, also it's very pocket friendly and the quantity served is also good.
Superb food! Delicious I must say! I am a regular customer here n I'm in love with their food. Though a basic family restaurant but it quenches your thirst for delicious food that too without making a hole in pocket. Highly recommend
Chaaps and tandoori items are awesome.........I think they have the best malai chaap i ever had............i will definitely recommend you go there and try for yourself
As they say Old is Gold!!! This holds true when it comes to this restaurant. I have been a huge fan of their Mix Veg and Shahi Paneer since my childhood days and can still have it any given day. In Fact their South Indian has also improved drastically specially their sambhar. I can only say this is one true place in krishna nagar that really suits your pocket and satisfies your hunger.
Another affordable and tasty restaurant in Krishna Nagar. You will get chinese, south indian and north indian, all tastes good. One more thing, another restaurant with a very constant taste from years.
They do not spend much on interiors but yes they do take care of the service.
One of the oldest restaurant in krishna nagar. Gone here once . Tried variety of dishes all of them tasted really good. Ordered dal makhni, paneer tikka, chilly patato, dosa and chaap. The best dish according to me was panner tikka. Service was okiesh. Better seating arrangements can be made which was the only drawback I found.
Years back this Chankya restaurant would be the best restaurant in Krishna Nagar. Its taste would be the best. But now its condition n food is pathetic. Taste has degraded over times. Its not a comfort restaurant.
It needs a serious upgrade with comfort seating, goid ambience n affcourse its food taste as it was years ago.

An old restaurant in area. Nice taste. Service is little slow. Having Seating arrangements with Acs. Chaap is nice and i loved it. Easily accessible.
One of the best north Indian restaurant in this area definitely.
There dal makhani is very tasty. And paneer butter masala is to die for.
I have been eating at this place for the last 12 years and the quality is still the same as it was before.
This restaurant is one of the best in east Delhi. It is a perfect place for a vegetarian.
The food is the best , the service is also very good.
I love this place as well as food.
Oldest restro in lal quater.. I can't count on my mind dat how many tyms i had visited dis restro as m a resident of krishna nagar itself..
Perfect place for dining..either wid frnz or wid family.. Rates r quite reasonable.. Food is good.. Thumbs up to its north indian collection..
Have been going for family dinners here for as long as I can remember. They have increased the seating area and finding a table here is no more a pain. The food here is good as compared to the other outlets in the area. We always order their dal Makhani, shahi paneer and breads. Both the main course dishes are very good and the quantity is very good. The noodle soup here is excellent and I don't remember a single meal here when I didn't order it. Today I ordered take away and the food was hot even after 45 minutes. The quality of the bread was disappointing today. Too much maida.
Otherwise excellent service with delicious food
Ambience is not at all attractive but the food is satisfactory...paneer dishes are really nice..
South Indian food is okay-ish but when it comes to north Indian food...strongly recommended from my side (Y)
I love their chaap items but sometimes they add up way to masala so you have to be prepared for it or you must warn him initially.
Place is not so good if we talk about ambience. Food is Ok. But nice n old place.
Ambience is not so good but the food is great n service too. The person who is a vegetarian n want the taste of nonveg can taste their malia chaap its great
The gud old warhorse in krishna nagar its been there since 1993. When i was a kid it was the first ever resturant i went to. Taste of food is gud kadai paneer is their speciality. Though sitting is not upto the mark but overall conclusion for this resturant is gud.
Good food, we enjoyed a lot, menu choice is also good, but service is so late and no value for money, lachha parantas are so tasty with dal makhni and paneer bhurji... so nice
food is nice & tasty but the service is little slow. The sitting arrangement is good but not so best otherwise the restaurent is OK
its nice but the service is little bit late..but all n all the price n food is absolutely good..☜☜
I have had some really amazing north indian food all over delhi but believe me when i say this,This small little place beats them all :o
Chanakya is this restaurant in the Krishna Nagar area near the Local Lal quarter market.
Reaching there is gonna be a little problem for people who are not from Jamnapaar ;D
Now the food,Its amazing :D
The dal makhani, shahi paneer, pindi chana, malai kfta is better then some of the biggest north indian restaurants in delhi.
The prices are nominal .. The dal is for 110/- rupees and the paneer dishes are for 130/- rupees.
You have to go there to try out the food.
The sitting is small, and non-fancy but the food .. wow-o-wow :)
keep up the great work guys :)
Ausum quality of food specially kadhai paneer. and the best part of it is the service
