Best for south Indian food in delhi. Ambiance was good
and services also good. My favourite doaa and idly,
sambar taste so yummy, seating was good
Shree rathnam is one of the best South Indian eateries around . All their dishes seem authentic and are good in taste . Masala dosa and rava kesari are good.
Shree Rathnam is located near to my house,a very good option for small get togethers like birthday and kitty parties, very cooperative staff and the food is really very amazing, this time I ordered idli sambhar and veg noodles, both are very delicious in taste and the different types of chatnies are really amazing in taste.
Good food good service.....keep it up,,
..... Good experience.... Delicious food.. Friendly service
While heading out for great food, if taste is the only thing that matters for you, then this is the perfect place! You can enjoy fine taste of each and every cuisine here with a not so appealing restaurant. It gives you a very homely kinda feel. Delight for pure vegetarians, I've been here many a times and never came back disappointed. Just took away that one star because of the interior, but otherwise it is 5/5 anyday.
I have ordered rava masala dosa from here. My experience goes as following:
The dosa was crispy and sambhar was full of taste that I would recommend every one to atleast try once from here.
Taste-4/5
Packaging-4/5
Delivery-4/5
#Rabrakha
So, I tried dosa, idli vada and uttapam from this place which was good in taste I liked Thier sambhar.
But yes the Idli was not so good.
I would recommend to try once.
Food was good , good for small party , still need to workout in the quality according to prices and have better competitors so u may check them too
This is a properly maintained restaurant for a good family dining. The seating is quite good and staff is also humble. We ordered- Masala dosa, mysore masala dosa, onion uttapam, rawa masala dosa, onion masala dosa, paneer dosa, dal makhni and malai kofta with butter naan. The dal was good in taste. Talking about the dosas, paneer dosa is the best out of all. Onion uttapam was also just amazing, it is worth trying. Mysore masala dosa was also very tasty. The only disappoint was onion masala dosa the stuffing of raw onion was way too much which made the dosa a bit sweet in taste. But overall it is a nice place for family gathering. Happy eating😍
Verry nice, fast delivery thanks
I used to go to shree ratnam as i am a south indian lover..quality n ambience are good...service is also fast ...must go for rawa masala dosa...superb ...yummy
Nice south Indian dishes
The employee seem to be very professional and ask you about your taste before delivering the product.
Was here with family
Thanks for the services.
Among the very authentic South Indian chain in Delhi, the dosas are very good , I rate them above the more popular chain Sagar ratna. A delight to eat here.
A must go restaurant with family. Value for money but ambience is too normal. Space is an issue. If you go in peak hours then you will have to wait may be for an hour. Food is amazing and staff is also nice.
Great place and food. If you are not in favour of waiting or have kids with you, call them before visiting and they reserve a table. This is great gesture when infants are with you!!
Very nice fine dining restaurant. serves only veg food. my mom loved the place. awsome south indian food. amiable staff. quick service. winderful experience.
Great food and quality there. Good ambience and polite and friendly staff. However, food is good and not that appealing for taste compared to sarvana or naivedyam.
food was hot so nice and of course it was good
i love the food of Shree Ratnam
This place serves the best butter masala dosa and freshly steamed idlis with their three variants of chutneys! i love visiting there. You can also try their north indian cuisine. On weekends, it's difficult to get seat here. This is a complete family resturant. Happy Eating :)
It was during the navratras we decided to have a family get together at this place and I am about to review the place based on the food without any onion and garlic.
The place is a two-story setup and the décor and ambiance is pretty soothing and comfortable. The seating is pretty comfortable and the basic steel cutlery gives a traditional feel of a south Indian restaurant.
We were a pretty big bunch of 20+ people whom they were serving so minor flaws were excused in between. Though I would appreciate the floor manager for taking care of everything and coping up with the staff. But I still feel they should hire more professional and courteous staff. The servers need to know how to greet and offer food while serving, which I felt was Lagging.
Food
We ordered paneer tikka, spring rolls, veg. kebabs along with tea and coffee for the starters and shahee paneer, dal makhani, mix vegetable along with gulab jamun for the mains.
All the starters were pretty decent and well prepared but didn’t have that WOW part.
Paneer tikka were nice as they were well cooked and marinate was nice and tangy.
Spring rolls were the best I would say. They had that desi fusion taste in the stuffing with noodles inside. The crust was crisp and overall liked by all guests.
Veg kebab was decent but the preparation was a bit soggy inside, as the kebabs felt a bit moister than they should be.
Their tea and coffee both were appreciated and the filter coffee came in a traditional manner with steel glass and katori. Both were well prepared and had this amazing flavour.
All the mains were really nice and freshly prepared.
Dal makhani was perfectly cooked which was simply nice and creamy. I really liked the part that the dal was not overcooked.
Sahee paneer was decent but I liked it for not being sweet. It was simple tomato gravy based preparation, which tasted nice and creamy with a fresh n soft paneer diced in.
Mix veg was also well cooked and had very nice balance of all the ingredients. The over all taste of the dish was really good even though there was no use of onion or garlic.
And for ending a delicious garma garam super soft gulab jamun as sweet dish was the really great.
Overall to conclude we really enjoyed the dinner and overall food preparations were pretty good too. I felt there is a scope of improvisation on the service part. Rest I would say the place is a pocket friendly option to have a family dinner.
So after long tiring day when you are feeling hungry and finding difficult in deciding what to eat... take my suggestion for this place . Dim lights , soft music , comfortable sitting and good food !! What more do you need to make your day the best one ?? So visited shree rathnam jail road to made my day the best one. ...🏵🏵 we ordered rava mysore onion rava masala dosa !... The yummiest dosa I ever had .dosa was very different and unique ! ... The dosa was lined with tomato onion chutney what we called as mysore masala . The outer layer had onions embedded in the rava layer which was perfectly roasted .Inside was perfect a loo mash masala with carrots and cabbage ... despite of having so much filling the dosa retained the crispness .
Vegetable noodles :Vegetable chowmein #price rs 180/- . Had the vegetable chosen at shree rathnam. Despite specialising in South Indian food , their Chinese preparation are a hit too: had chowmein : perfectly made , with apt amount of flavours of every sauce and veggies were roasted well too...with adding more chilly sauce it was made more good #flavoursome .
#uniquedosa this dosa came in four pieces and served with hot Sambhar , coconut chutney and onion tomato chutney which complimented the dosa very well ... #appetising and #scrumptious #nitilovesit #proudgoldmagician #beingafoodie #thevegetarianfood #shreerathnam 🌻🌻🏵💐💐🌸🌸🎉🎉🎉🌹🌹
I ordered Veg Masala Dosa and It was very yummy. The sambhar, coconut chutney, tomato chutney and dosa, everything was tasty about the dish. Loved it!
Amazing food but make sure you put more butter in Dosa
Utterly brilliant. Though the packaging could use work
Excellent food. Awesome and fast service. They customise the food basis your needs and taste. Food is not oily like other outlets. Wide variety available.
we went to restaurant yesterday evening.... there dal makhni and malai khofta is really amazing.. the atmosphere was really nice the staff is very friendly ... also they provide special discounts on Wednesday i would recommend this restaurant
A descent place to take family, spend time with friends .. chit chat... and munch.. I went with my friends over here ( almost like a sudden plan) 😀
Unlike their name - they even do have a lot of North Indian variety on their menu.. although I began with choosing South Indian cuisine -
1. Onion rava masala dosa - yes👌🏻Going again to have this 😍 if you enjoy your dosa to be very crispy till your last bite. Then this is the one ☝️ you have to try. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ recommended. (Ask then to serve you the masala separately)
So that it's crispier till your very last bite. 😊 😜Sambhar was also good along with 3 types of chutney's ( not bad either ) 😍
2. Lemon rice - A BIG NOOOOOO... too much lemon, no salt plus complete waste of money. Huge expectations from a South Indian restaurant but definitely not worth it.
3. Filter coffee- Not very great but yes worth a shot.. we ended up the dinner with this and yes it was indeed a happy meal.
Place was clean, hygiene and descent ambience plus friendly staff along with quick service makes it a place to visit again.. In future.. ✅👍🏾
Yum food and a quite ambience is what you actually need at a South Indian restaurant. The food was delicious aromatic with nice flavours and the chutneys with the dosa were lip smacking.
Dishes ordered ~ Paneer Rawa Mysore dosa ~ Vegetable Manchurian
Ambience- 9
Food- 9
Service- 10
Value for money- 8
Average decent and very simple family place serving-
South indian
North indian
Chinese.
Service is good with nice staff.
Food is average.
Lights are bright and it can be little low.
For 2-600
A fine family restaurant located on jail Road near tilak nagar metro station.
Ambience- good
Food- very good South Indian, fair in amount and nicely presented.
I will recommend to have--
1)Hot and sour soup
2)south Indian thali
3)rava onion masala dosa
Service- fast and clean.
Staff-generous.
Place is very bright you may not like that only.
Price- 500 for 2
Went to this place yesterday for dinner with around 15 people. Their paneer sabji was delicious, rava dosa was good. Dal tadka can be worked upon.
Situated on the Jail Road next to The Barbeque Company.
What I ordered:
Mysore Masala Dosa- Impressive. It had a Mysore Chutney on the dosa which is delicious and spicy. Would prefer it anyday over a regular Masala Dosa.
Spring Dosa- Skip this one. Basically a dosa cut like a huge spring roll which loads of cauliflower, and other veggies in it.
The Coconut Chutney was nice, the sambar was too watery though.
Filter Coffee- Terrible. Had it at the end, ended up ruining my meal.
Overall a fine experience minus the coffee, service too is quick. Much better than Sagar Ratna and their noisy environment.
Visited this outlet yesterday with my friends for lunch.
Their service was good and food quality was fine too.
Prices are high.
I tried Masala dosa and veg hakka Noodles.
Both were amazing👌
Restaurant known for prompt service. Value for money, good quality South Indian food. Excellent South Indian thali.
Restaurant ambience could be improved though
Excellent food, great ambiance had a great time. staff was very nice and polite..........will visit again.
I thought there south Indian was only good but north Indian was equally great specially there Dal Makhni and Paneer butter masala
Excellent food and great flavor. Sambar just have the right spice level.Hospitable staff.
Filter coffee could have been better but no regrets, coming back soon.
We had a family visit over there. This is very simple place. They provided us the entire floor for 35 people. South Indian food is delicious. Surprisingly, North Indian is also good there but not upto my expectation. They have huge variations for desserts. I like it.
Great good.. Amazing ambience! A perfect South Indian meal! One must definitely try the even South Indian thalli along with filter coffee. The mango lassi is also very refreshing.
Recently visited this place with family. The overall experience was nice however there is lot of scope for improvement.
First thing first - the variety on offer is great. Along with South Indian they also serve North Indian delicacies. However for my stint we only tried Southeee.
The ambience just ok nothing impressing. However the service is top notch and the staff was well available and on the toes giving the fact we went on Saturday and it was heavily crowded with many waiting outside.
We ordered a plenty of items - from masala dosa to rava dosa to idli vada and sambar all had that authentic South Indian taste. There were 2-3 types of chatni also served with the dosa.
However we tried 2-3 varieties of shakes and they were disastrous. Rather than shake I would say we had water and some flavour.
Overall an ok experience. On the prices they are priced decent.
Cheers!!!
Decent pocket-friendly option for South Indian food lovers and casual dining. As jail road is a food hub, based on food taste i will recommend this place. Don't forget to have Mysore Masala, Rava Kesari.
A place where Dosa lovers can have their food with some decency ! A very good vegetarian outlet and also provide chinese food , this definitely offers some solace ! The sambar is not upto the mark as compared to sagar ratna , but still very good to have with idly and the dosa was also upto the standards .
I see people complaining about this restaurant alot. But nothing such has ever happened with me. I especially like their breakfast combos. Quantity and prices are good, vs sagar ratna. While dining, only order south & north indian food items. Chinese is not good. Try their Upma & set dosa, u will love it.
Delicious dosas. Went there for the 1st time and was delighted. Must visit . It's a bang on taste and easy on pocket . Tried the mysore masala and rawa masala dosa.
After being disappointed by few renowned south Indian chain of restaurants I was kind of left with not many options but Shree Rathnam has come to rescue. South Indian food is enjoyed a lot in North India and Shree Rathnam is definitely a gud option for the same.
The restaurant is quite simple and well they actually don't need to do a fancy fine dining thing as that's not their target segment but still a pretty clean and decent sitting available.
The south Indian joint runs packed houses coz of its taste and yesterday was no different but we got the table just at the right time. And while out for a south Indian dinner I generally don't waste much of a time looking at the menu, so my order included:
DAHI WADA: This has to be there all the time. U cant begin without having this and to my delight it was perfectly done topped with crispy boondis which I personally like a lot.
MIX VEG UTTAPAM : Once again a favorite from the south Indian cuisine, and this one was also cooked well was crispy from not just the edges but all over.
BUTTER MASALA DOSA: This completes my 3 course meal and the finale dish is real winner. Crispy butter paper dosa with masala on the side and dats the best way to eat it actually.
Well south Indian cuisine heavily relies on 3 things sambhar, white coconut chutney and red tomato chutney and not so surprisingly all 3 were excellent.
The service was one of the key points with a fully packed house the service was very quick indeed and sambhar and chutney refills were available before we ask for it.
So all in all a fantastic south Indian dinner after long. Enjoyable food at decent pricing and good hygiene. Recommended for sure!
I tried Rawa dosa n Dahi wada. Both were amazing. Good food at decent price. The only reason m giving 4.5 is because d staff was a little busy in chatting than paying attention to guests. But this does not mean d service is bad
Last night coming back from theatre after watching the movie Udta Punjab, at around 11pm I was looking for a decent place for dinner and I landed up here at Shree Rathnam.
This pure vegetarian restaurant looks very lavish at entrance but actually it is not from inside. Ambience is simple Sobber and average place for family dinner. Restaurant have good enough sitting space for guests.
I placed order for *Gobhi masala and *butter roti. Gobhi was surprisingly delicious. Roti was fresh but I was getting a feeling that maida was mixed in it that's why bit rubberised.
Rates I would say bit at higher side depending upon the ambiance and food.
Service was quick.
Visited this outlet with my mom and after very very long tym give her a treat. I can say shree rathnam didn't lemme down in front my mom. Food we ordered is very good and tasty. Staff is good too. Must try their Mysore masala dosa which is totally fab. Red & green chutney the serve is also amazing. Good going guys keep it up.
Nice ambience, friendly staff, dey r experts of south indian cuisines but tried North Indian food for the first time at this joint and it was good too. Paneer tikka Masala, Dal Makhani were really good. Methi Matar Malai was just okies. Tandoori rotis were made to perfection.
Nice place for casual dining and pocket friendly too. Good interiors. Ordered dahi vada, rasam, masala dosas and tomato-onion uthapam. Everything was very good. Next time will try North Indian menu.
A good place to have south Indian food. Tried it for the first time with family and liked it. Typical south Indian restaurant. Rasaam soup was best though the food was quite oily.
Would recommend people to try this when they want a break from Sagar Ratna.
Ordered the breakfast combo today and it was awesome. The delivery boy was polite and delivery on time. Packaging was excellent too. Would definitely recommend the breakfast combo.
Newly opened.
Parking could be an issue in the evening.
A nice family place. Spacious. Simple and decent interiors. Loved the place. A rare good South Indian restaurant in the vicinity. Visit it if you live close by.
Coming to food, Idly was really light. Dosa was tasty. So was the onion uttapam. Chowmein were slightly undercooked and chutneys, I have had better. Can improve on them. Sambar was slightly sweet and delicious. The way I like it.
Service was very good and quick. Waiters were courteous and didn't even have to ask for an extra bowl of sambhar either. It was served itself.
Will definitely visit it again.
Second visit, chutneys were good. No complains. Glad they improved on it. Or maybe it was a one day thing earlier. Mysore Masala is delicious.
Decent pocket friendly place. Timely service.
We ordered dahi vada, masala dosa, coconut rava masala dosa, rasam and lemonade.
Everything was average. Not too bad neither too good
Its a decent family budget restraunt. The ambience is pretty average, neat and clean surroundings and a polite staff. Service was good for a saturday night standards. We ordered 2 dosas rava masala onion and vegetable and a veg utpam. Decent preparations ....nothing so great but flavors were fine. One thing that i would appreciate is that they were not shy on serving extra sambar and coconut chutney as we Punjabis have a big apetite for extra sambar. 😀
Finally the filter coffee was served which was decent enough to qualify as any South Indian filter coffee.
Overall for me it's a place where you can go with your family if mom is not in a mood to cook or you just want a break from ghar ki dal roti.
Went with family ,South indian food at it best , service was good. Had a nice experience . The best south indian restaurant in this part of delhi .
Out of sheer respect to fellow zomato users I have brought down the ratings for this review.
I landed at this place for a lazy lunch, but did so without checking out the reviews. After seating when I was checking this place out, I was wondering have I made a mistake.
I ordered Chinese, rasam and masala dosa. Rasam came in the glass which I returned back to be brought in a bowl. There is star dropped for this fiasco.
Chinese got a thumbs up from my son for taste. Masala dosa is prepared fresh, hence the delay.
Taste is strictly OK. I was presented a visitor book, so things are on the upswing.
This is a nice restaurant on the main jail road. Ideally it is famous for its South Indian, however I found the North Indian food better. The chana masala and kadhai paneer were really tasty. The rotis were good size and crispy. Didn't like their veg uttapam and butter masala dosa.
So this is a south Indian restaurant on jail road, built decently nice and is fully air-conditioned. It is a family restaurant.
You'll get all the south Indian dishes, chinese and north Indian here. The prices are neither too low not too high. The average cost of 2 people will be around 7-800.
The place is neat and clean and the food quality is also quite hygienic.
You'll must go and have a nice dine-in over here.❤️
This is absolutely the nicest Thai restaurant in town. Food is delicious, staff are extremely nice. We went there for dinner twice during our stay at a nearby hotel, as it was so good. I'd recommend any of the prawn dishes, as well as the soft shell crab/duck/red thai chicken curry. They don't serve beer/wine, only soft drinks plus some tasty mocktails.
Its is South Indian restaurant. Food quality is good and tasty. Services are also very good.
We tried North Indian food and it was very good, "Salt and pepper veggies" are my fav (depending on my taste) but the environment was okay and the service was a little off.
I had mushroom and naan there. The food was delicious and atmosphere was too good. And additionally People were eating with their hands .. I liked that.
Tried South Indian cuisine, food was good and they offer decent variety on menu. Tried mysore masala after a long time and it met my expectations. Ambience is also fine. My only issue is the quantity of oil used to make the dosa, which they can manage in less quantity of oil for sure.
I really liked our family’s dining experience at Shree Rathnam Restaurant . The food was tasting very good, priced quite affordably and was also served hot. The service time is also quite fast.
Its a good restaurant over all they served a good food a staff member all also cool
Amazing food and very polite and disciplined staff. Ambience was good....prices were a bit high but looking at that taste and quality of food it's not an big issue.
Food is very tasty and service much better also good environment
Great place with different food options South Indian,Chinese and, north indian, food tastes great with an affordable price
Its a well located restaurant offering south Indian food, barring breakfast, on ground floor and non-veg also on first floor. Staff is very caring and professional. Rates seem to be a bit high compared to prevailing rates in the area. But it matches the quality. Parking made available by welcome guards.
Pure veg food is served here. south indian food served is very fresh n hygenic.
