Couldn't click the pics.
So I tried the kebabs, they were tasty, in fact were very soft. This outlet is near my house so it's easy for me to go and eat. And their rolls were not so good, I would say they could be more tastier. Overall it was okay, you can go and have the food yourself.

Galawati kebabs are rare to find in Dilli and they serve the best of them. Juicy and completely melt in mouth kebabs served with ulte tawe ke parathe. Kebabs are nicely flavored and very aromatic.
Their next best is chicken keema which alomost tastes like kadhai paneer gravy but only with keema chicken and is amazing too.
For vegetarians is chande ke aalo quite mild for me but worth giving a try.
Definitely a place you cannot miss and one of the hidden gems of dilli.

Verdict - Must Eat This

Zakir Nagar is a foodies' paradise in Ramzan evenings. If you really want amazing Galawati Kabab in Delhi, then Lucknowi Galawati Kabab is a place to be at. The meat is minced so finely that literally the Kababs get dissolved in your mouth the next moment you put them inside. The kababs will givve you a burst of flavors in your mouth. The kababs are served with Green Chutney & fresh onions.

P.S. - The kababs are insanely cheap. Verify yourself.

The softest kabab I ever tried in my life. It melts in the mouth as soon as one puts it in the mouth. A must try kabab which has a long history behind it's making and very few reveal the true ingredients of it.

I have been a regular in the lanes of Old Delhi Jama Masjid a number of times every Ramzan.
This time I opted to visit the junior version of Old Delhi I.e. Zakir Nagar and I am glad that I did so.

Lucknowi Galawati Kabab

Lucknowi Galawati Kabab is the name of this small outlet which was established in the year 2008 and is dishing out really good Galawati kababs and parathas.

One bite of these little beauties and my tastebuds were in a party mode instantly.

Undoubtedly the best Galawati kababs in Delhi and paired with the thin parathas, the combination is a killer.

My advise would be just to eat without any accompaniments like chutney to enjoy the oozing flavours.

Must visit !!

Great kebabs. Although being a busy restaurant, it always prepares food in time and always the same great taste. Even the taste of chicken kebabs is also very similar to the mutton ones for people who prefer chicken over mutton.

Nowhere in Delhi have I tasted such amazing galawti kebabs!! No rajinder, no aljawahar, no karims can be even anywhere near the standards of these kebabs. Extremely succulent, juicy, cooked to the deepest of meat, spicy and best served with ulte tanwe Ka parantha. Had heard a lot about this place, hardly any space to sit n enjoy the delicacy but its worth a try standing n eating in the streets of okhla. Too good, can't wait to visit again! 🙈

My main motive of the walk was to have lucknowi galouti kababs with ulte tawe ka paratha.Being a Luclnowite, somehow i have never been satisfied with the Galutis offered in delhi and NCR.I wanted to taste the kababs at the super popular lucknowi Kabab Centre. On having a roll of the paratha with mutton kabab(they also serve both buff and chicken options), I can safely say that it was the best Lucknowi kabab I had in Delhi and NCR.It is closest to what we get in lucknow and my fav item at the food zone.

A gem of a place in zakhir nagar! Brings the essence of kababs from lucknow right at the heart of delhi.
We tried
1. Chicken kabab : tender , soft! Within no time the bite of kabab was dissolved in my mouth and had long lasting taste.
2 Chicken keema : Fell in love with it as soon as i had the first bite. Rightly cooked, rightly spiced. With minced pieces of chicken in it, it became one hell of a meal.

Both the items went very well with the paranthas.
Everything is served at pocket friendly prices, there is hardly anything on the menu thats above 100 bucks.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED restaurant for chicken lovers

Personally I have never been to Lucknow. But after reading up on the oh so famous Tunday ke kebab, I had given those kebabs the highest possible status in my head.

The kebabs at this place possibly match up to those highest standards. The galawati as the name suggest is supposed to be galaya hua (Meat is supposed to be tenderized so much that it should melt in your mouth). And that is exactly what these kebabs do. I have spent the last 2 evenings here hogging on there Chicken kebab, buff kebab, chicken keema and parathas. The food is extremely reasonable, though it might get a little hot inside the small shop.

However a must visit for all non veg lovers.

A Hidden Gem ! Down in the streets of Zakir Nagar, Nadeem Bhai (The Owner) is serving succulent and ultra soft Galoutis with Ulte Tawe Ka Parantha.
These kebabs are not just for taste but they’re an experience in themselves. A must try.

Buff - ₹40. Mutton - ₹160. Chicken - ₹80.
Every plate comes with 4 kebabs and they charge ₹10 for paranthas.
They also serve keema.

Their buff keema and chicken keema is worth a try. However for me, chicken keema takes the vote.

Got the food delivered. The food was well packed and timely delivered.
Rs.300 for 3 people is a great deal.

The Galauti Kebabs in this tiny, no-frills eatery is perfection in a plate. The kebabs are cheap but oozing with simple flavours. They are the actual melt-in-mouth Galauti kebabs with the right amount of spices. Served with thin paranthas, the combination is tasty, simple and filling. One of the best places in Delhi to try the Galauti Kebabs.

The place is very difficult to reach and traffic was bad in the narrow bylanes of Zakir Nagar. But once you are there, you are in for an absolute treat with a variety of options. Must visit and try the amazing kebabs.

I had been to this place for over 4-5 times now. It is situated in the streets of Zakir Nagar.
On my every visit i only order two things - chicken kabab and chicken keema.
The chicken kababs here are too soft they just melt in your mouth, absolutely amazing. You won't get any better chicken kebabs in Delhi NCR.
The next thing was chicken keema, thats a thick crushed keema gravy. I had this with the paratheins they make.
Ambience is not so good, since its a small shop, but that does not matter to me since the food is so delicious . Service is quick though.
So a wonderful experience for non veggies.
Just reaching here is a little bit tricky, but it is so famous that even people in the market might guide you.

Visited this place over the weekend. Amazing kebabs. They have 2 varieties - bade (beef) and chicken. We tried both. Bade won hands down. The ulte tawe ka paratha was thin, crispy and flaky. We kept asking for more! Must visit if you're a foodie.
A few shops down from here is the most amazing shahi tukda. See pics attached.
Got takeaway nahari and paya from Chaudhry. Very very very chilli nahari. Paya was milder.
Parking in the area is a menace so park before you enter the narrow lanes near holy family hospital.

This place is known for its Galowti Kebabs. If you know the taste of tunday kababi's galowti kebabs, this is very close to that. They also serve chicken galowti kebabs but the USP are their beef (buffalo) galowti kebabs that they serve with the traditional ultey tavey ka paratha. Both the kebabs and parathas melts instantaneously in the mouth. They are extremely pocket friendly too. You can get a good meal for two for less than 200.

The only downside is the location. I will suggest going in the Zakir Nagar lane from NFC side (gurdwara side). They have a very shabby and small place to sit, so plan for a take away. There is no parking available in this lane, so park before getting inside the market.

PS: Halal compliant when I last visited.

you will probably miss this place because of its decor but that would be for the first time only, once you walk inside and have their specialties you will be floored after having an experience of what they got to offer.

Typical place to have the delicious kebabs minus the hygiene and service. They don't serve you the best of the quality ffood but definitely they will serve you quicker than you would think.

taste wise - amazing
but quality and hygiene- at your own risk

Being from Lucknow, my criterion for galawati kebabs is so high some would think I exaggerate when I talk about the dish. However, it is my belief and has been for over a decade now that no meat lover can prevent dreaming about galawati once they have tasted it.
For the average Lucknow'ite galawati kebabs are available at dozens of places scattered all over the town. Yet few would disagree that the first name that comes to there mind when thinking of the dish is Tundey Kebabi found in the older parts of the town (Chowk, Akbari Gate & Aminabad) . The mouth melting, shallow fried minced meat cake is a joy as soon as it comes in contact with the palate, and I love just popping them in the mouth, without the hari chutney or onions.

Naturally, though this being one of the prime reasons why I miss my city, the objective has always been to find a substitute wherever I live. Therefore I consider myself really lucky when I think of this small joint nestled in the heart of Zakir Nagar market.

The overall atmosphere and the seating arrangement will surely make many turn around and walk away. Yet those who overlook this trivial aspect will be rewarded by what is to come - the kebabs.

The galawati is most definitely beef, yet the texture and color of the kebab speaks volumes for the amount of oil used and the quality of the raw materials. Not cooked too much nor too less, the preparation is just perfect. The spice level was just right which made me remember how I always complain about tundey using excessive lal mirch.

A combination of the kebab with the mughlai paratha made me thank god for the experience, with every bite I took. The thickness of the paratha also amazed me, and till this very day I curse those who make it too thick.

Lastly, for those of you who want something more than just a kebab, try the beef keema. Again not very spicy and with a slight taste of baingan ka bharta (don't know how) it was the perfect accompaniment for the kebab.

Bon appetite!

If your dining experience includes fancy lighting, buttressing staff, or even wooden chairs, this isn't the place for you. However, if your experience is only as good as the food you are fed, this is the place to be.  The food at Lucknowi Galawti sets itself apart from every second Mughlai joint with top notch beef which is delicately spiced and isn't drowning in animal fat(contrary to what some might say).
Apart from their signature Beef Galawti kebabs, other things you MUST try are the Keema, and Aloo Katli, all three of which go beautifully with the Parantha.

The Cherry on top after the delicious meal is the beautiful pricing, wherein an indulgent  meal for two will set you back by Rs.250

*Easiest way to get here is to park your vehicle outside Zakir Nagar and take a Rickshaw inside.

I am from lucknow and when I miss home lucnkowi food is the only comfort i seek :) so I have been on the lookout for places in delhi which offer good kebab parantha options. before i tried this place I had tried almost everything delhi has to offer. whereas alkauser at rk puram was good it is far from where i live so it couldnt be my go to place.  also the guy outside rajinder dhaba was good but then he dropped his quality. I also tried the more expensive options like the kebab factory. though the kebabs there were good  they werent like lucknow kebabs. then one day i zomatoed this place and found their phone no.

I tried the galawti chicken and mutton kebabs. (sadly they serve beef and chicken regularly but make mutton only on order) . they instantly reminded me of the kebabs back home. the parntha was the proper ulte tawe ka parantha and was well cooked with the dough cooked through and sufficiently soft too. but the kebabs were even better. slightly spicy and one can make out that they have been cooked in the oil from the korma. this is what adds the zing to the kebab. soft and melt in your mouth. patted well on both sides and mushy beneath the surface.

In delhi their kebabs get closest to the ones from lucknow.  (I am still to try the famous and mythical Dum Pukht) will recommend it to every homesick lucknowite and all delhites who want to know what a real kebab parantha tastes like.

apart from kebabs there isnt much else on the menu. they have some curries but i guess that is just to add variety to the menu. i tried the kofta and the recommended tawa masala. the koftas were bland and though oily but without taste. the tawa masal was a bit better but again with boneless boiled chicken pieces and a gravy that tasted more of korma oil than anything original. so they are really passable.

I have given them 4 for the kebab parantha and the tameez of the guy answering the phone.  this one is a order and eat place. so order away.

The beef Galwati kebabs served here are just awesome. So far I've not had the pleasure of eating at Lucknow - but these were melt-in-your-mouth kebabs. I was skeptical initially on the quality of oil used, as it typically leads to a burpy evening post-dinner. But even the oil quality used was nice as it did not lead to a disgust filled burp later on.

Full marks on the kebabs.
Did not rate it 5 since the ambiance is not for everyone. This is your hole-in-the-wall eatery wherein tables are common for all "aam aadmi".

The Galawati Kabab is mind blowing for its ability to bring back flush of memories from your visit to Lucknow. The sumptuous delicious kababs always make me go weak on my knees. As I walked in, I may be a little taken aback by its ambiance. But what the hell! I have never came here for ambiance but for the sheer brilliance of good food. Located in the chaotic lanes of Zakir Nagar, Al Rashida's Lucknowi Galawati is a hidden gem that serves one of the best Galawati Kebabs in Delhi. The entire street has such amazing hole-in-the-wall eateries that it can give stiff competition to any of the famous restaurants around Jama Masjid.

Priced at 8 rupees a piece, the beef galawatis literally melt in your mouth. The owner has been brought up in a muslim family in Lucknow and definitely knows the art of making authentic Galawati Kebabs. To my surprise, they also serve chicken galawatis and not mutton galawatis. Since the minced meat is very fine in case of these kebabs, I was skeptical about the concept of chicken galawati, but Al Rashida nails it brilliantly well. And just when I thought Kebab Factory serves the best galawati kebabs, I was introduced to Al Rashida's in Zakir Nagar. And trust me, I am not visiting Kebab factory any more since I can get a better taste at 1/50th of the price. Besides kebabs, I absolutely fell in love with the beef keema. Served with crispy Ulte Tawe ka paratha, the combination of these 3 dishes is purely divine.

I'd definitely rank it among the top 5 kebab places in Delhi. If you ask any lucknowite about the galawati scene in Delhi, he will give you a disgusted look. But take him to this place and you'd earn tremendous respect. Surprisingly, not many people know about this place, and I guess that's the good part. The entire street is an absolute legend!

Al Rashida is finally on zomato.

This place had been on my must visit list for a looooong time but was unable to since its a long way from my place. When I finally visited the place some time back I was in for a surprise. By far the best galawati kebabs I had eaten in Delhi. One bite of the delicate meat patties sent me back to Lucknow. The cook at this place is from Lucknow so that pretty much explains the taste of the kebabs. Apart from the usual beef galawatis the place also serves chicken galawatis, which though are a bit unusual as I haven't seen chicken galawatis in Lucknow, but they too are equally awesome.

Apart from galawatis they also serve some really fabulous curries made on the tawa. The beef curry and the buffalo heart curry are simply to die for. Equally good is the chicken curry.

The place is a typical dhaba that serves some mean mughlai and awadhi food and is indeed a must for all those who enjoy some really good non veg fare and don't mind the cheap dhaba style seating, but that all takes a backseat once you see the superb food on your table.

A gem hidden in the lanes of Zakir Nagar... As someone who never thought they would taste anything remotely similar to Tunday Kababi's original Galawati Kabab from Lucknow, I was pleasantly surprised to find that this one is actually pretty close. While it may be more expensive than Tunday Kababi, it's a close first copy and even identical in some aspects. The flavors are rich, the texture is near-perfect, and it's definitely a must-try for any kabab lover. I'm already thinking of ways to make this a regular spot for me on the weekends. Their service too is prompt and efficient. Lucknowi Galawati Kebab is a must-visit if you're in the area. Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 3/5

I’ve been to this place a lot of times and I’m always left in awe. Amazing…the most tender, flavourful and soft galouti kababs. They serve chicken, mutton and buff galouti kababs. The kababs are priced very reasonably 100 for 4 pieces of buff kababs , 140 and 250 for chicken and mutton respectively. Also do try their warqi paratha. The seating is a bit messy and they could use some more hygiene. Staff is prompt and service is quick. Definitely one of the best places in Delhi to have mouth watering galaouti kababs

The food is good, very old school Kebabs. Try their mutton kebab, it is really good. The place, however, is not fit to sit for a group. It will be better if you order and eat outside. There is no parking space for cars. It is inside a busy residential locality of Zakir nagar and is surrounded by multiple eating joints.

The classic lucknowi galawati, a departure from tradition, is the best in the Zakir Nagar Street. They have chicken keema, mutton keema and beef kebabs in a patty shape. The meat are mashed up into boneless, soft and easily chewable patties that melt in the mouth. A single plate of bade ka kebab has 4 small patties. The rotis are pin-rolled in butter. Then they are heated on a scorching metal bowl placed upside down. Bowl is fired up from below to warm up the metal. The roti is quite large, but supple. Rumali rotis are also available on order. Ever bringing a sense of authenticity and genuineness to the table, the small outlet shines well in the busy street of Zakir Nagar. Just space for 15 persons to sit inside, the hotel grabs enough profit due to its attractive food and repeated visits from regular customers. Hence, don’t hesitate to order as much as you like on a grumbling stomach, because a sumptuous and abundant meal would cost a rock bottom price of around Rs 100. So when you are on a budget role, order those delicious kebabs and butter rotis and eat till your heart’s content. Get elevated as emotions hit peak high of pleasure.

This place serves mouth watering Galawati Kebabs and Parantha. The kebabs tasted so perfect that they reminded me of Lucknow's Tunday Kebabi. Totally recommended place. They also have a nice air conditioned seating area. Service is also very fast.

If you are missing tundey kebab from Lucknow, visit this place don't expect the same taste but it is worth eating. Parking is a problem so don't take you four wheeler. We parked it on the main road and then had a busy walk till this place. Twice a month i definitely visit. Value to money.

Went in evening to have galwati kababs with their parantha, i had mutton kebaba which costs 60 each and one paranath costs you 15..!! Taste is fine, not so good as when you started chewing it, it tastes little raw meat , it should have been completely roasted

Pretty authentic and and very close to the original, the beef kababs were very tasty whereas the mutton kababs lacked flavour.
