Sweet tooth person will go there.
This is the only pure vegetarian outlet located in community centre of NFC. The paneer dishes here are very good especially the paneer pasanda. Thalis are better option if looking for a complete lunch. Overall the prices are reasonable and a good option for students.
Tried Papdi Chat and Aloo tikki, both were good. It is located next to Al Bake and hence you can locate it easily. If you are looking for proper dining then it is not a place, more of a street food and quick eat. Chat is a must try.
Brijwasi restaurant is located in Nfc opposite Batra cinemas. Serves pure Vegetarian food. Spread out to two floors, the ground and the first. The food was decent. We ordered for special thali, paneer lababdar, Malai kofta and butter naan. Service was good and did not take much time. Easy on pocket.
The foood here is good. Especially those of paneer related. It is a good option in NFC for vegetarians and non veggies those who wanna try for a change. Not a must visit place, but can try.
Service: 3.5
Taste: 3.5
Ambience: 3.5
Value of Money: 4.0
Really liked this place..they serve one of the best quality north Indian food ...didn't like dal makhni that much but kadhai paneer and naans are quit good
Nothing extraordinary but then I am an ordinary man and I don't like my things extraordinary every day. Ordinary stuff is good and this is where Brijwasi is at its best.
NFC has still got a few offices running at full. Such a boon for people not carrying tiffin.
The simple thali (with a daal, kadhi/rajma/etc, a sabzi, dahi, roti, rice, onions) costs Rs. 100 which is alright given the subsidized thali in office cafets ranges from 50-80 bucks.
Just one concern, the rotis, I think, are made of refined flour .. wish they could use aata (whole wheat)
The food is fresh and being an all out vegetarian place has its own merits.
India runs on chai and eating places like these, that is for sure. :)
It is a pure vegetarian restaurant situated just in front of Batra cinemas...here all the "thalis" are OKayish...but if you are siting at first floor then you will find its service very poor...otherwise the food is fine.

+3.5
Good vegetarian food outlet, okayish food quality, and a good substitute for those who are hell bent on having vegetarian food. OVERALL GOOD AND HOMELY AMBIENCE.
If you happen to be around NFC area of Delhi wandering to have pure vegetarian meals, then you shouldn't miss it. Located in NFC Community Centre just opposite to Batra Reels Cinema, is this pocket friendly restaurant.
(Before proceeding further i would like to describe my rating procedure, on a scale of 5. 1* for Location/Parking etc 1* for Ambience and Service, 2* for Food quality, hygiene and Taste and last 1* for Pocket-friendliness depending upon 3rd parameter i.e. Food Quality etcetera. On this scale I rate Brijwasi Restaurant at 3.5*)
01> Location-wise it is at one of the most accessible areas of South East Dehi and has ample parking space. You can surely get a big family of 3 generations here without any hassle. For this I would like to give away the 1* it deserves.
02> While the restaurant has both open and AC seatings and owing to footfall should have good service, but I am afraid that you might be disappointed with on this parameter. The restaurant doesn't even have any proper arrangement for washing hands forget about having restrooms. Perhaps this is because of the phenomenon what I call DHABA-ZATION of restaurants. (Will write in my blog about DHABA-ZATION. Stay tuned for update). Even though if restaurants switch to Dhaba model, that doesn't account for having ungracious staff. I have been mutiple times to this place but over the time observed little or no improvement on this parameter. So I would go for a simple 0* for this feature.
03> Coming to most vital part of a restaurant- food quality, taste and hygiene which carries 2*s I would like to hold back half star and award it with 1.5*. You would be satisfied with food but won't feel awesome. Just 75% satisfaction. I have tried multiple cuisines here and among all I found its Chefs to be good at Kadhai Paneer and other dishes of cheese. Rest of dishes are just slightly above normal and you won't remember taste for a longer period of time. In short just another day of indulgence with food.
04> Pocket-friendliness as I see a dependent function of parameter three viz food quality etcetera, so I won't hold back anything and give away the 1* it deserves. A dinner for two and trying out minimum 2 dishes with good appetite won't cost more than Rs 500. (Check date of review, prices vary with time)
Over all rating sums up to 3.5* out of 5*s. While I hope to see improvement on services front there is scope of improvement in food quality as well.
A normal place for regular meals. Pure vegetarian. Price is low and you get the regular ambience of NFC CC. Seating is not at all good but food is ok.
Easy to find, Brijwasi is located near the entry of NFC market. It has seating on both ground and first floors. Ground floor is a tad dingy and cramped, but upstairs is pretty decent to sit and have a proper meal.
We had the Paneer lababdar and butter nans. After a 10-15 min wait, the waiter came up to us with an embarrassed face and told us, "don't get mad please, I misheard/misinterpreted your order and got lachha paranthas made. Could you please eat these now?" We were like - wtf? We refused to have them and got our butter nans made.
The food was quite good to taste. For a good North Indian meal that is easy on your pocket, Brijwasi is highly recommended (that is, if you don't mind eating at a low-key local joint).
this is one of the hidden gem! i relished the food here.I ordered kadhai paneer, shahi paneer, mushroom masala and naans. All the dishes were perfectly made. The curry of mushroom masala was yummilicious..naan were also good..i really liked paneer stuff naan.garlic naan and tandoori naan was also good.must try place if you want a new taste
This small dive restaurant is centrally located in the Community Center and is usually open throughout the day. You can come in easily and order staple Mughlai food at decent prices. The service is very quick and the food is pretty good. I would recommend coming for lunch-they have different kinds of thalis and food specials to choose from. I like the rajma here, but I think the naans are better elsewhere.
